Two People Are Better
Nothing greater!
God Bless.
There is nothing greater than a friend who walks beside you and encourages you. Sometimes we hear words from them we don't want to hear. Often their counsel is needed because they push us on to make us a better person. Do you have a friend or companion like this? If no one comes to mind, it's time to look through your phone's contact list. Find one person who can benefit from your friendship and make plans to eat a meal with them. Be the friend that helps others succeed.

Have You Ever
God Bless.
Have you ever had someone be unkind to you for no apparent reason? You feel as though every interaction leaves you flustered and frustrated, maybe even a little bit angry.
How you respond in those moments shows your character. David had a chance to once and for all slay his enemy and step into God’s promise, but David knew God’s promise and his word, “Do not attack the LORD’s anointed one, for the LORD chose him.” David chose to repay Saul’s evil with kindness. Out of that encounter, even David’s enemy asked God to bless him.
When you face an enemy or someone being unkind, today, instead of repaying them with the same behaviour, be kind, bless them, encourage them, ask God to shine his face toward them.
Prayer:
LORD, thank You that with Your strength, I can show kindness even to my enemies. I pray You bless them today, In Jesus' name, Amen.

See Others Correctly
How we see others is important.
So, I am going to leave this right here.
God Bless.
1 Peter 4:8-10
Love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. . . . Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace. . . .
— 1 Peter 4:8-10
Play
In the beginning, God created human beings in his image (Genesis 1:27). This foundational truth shapes how we view all of humanity. Unlike other creation stories, where only kings or rulers bear the divine image, the Bible teaches that every person carries God’s likeness.
This truth underpins the entire biblical social ethic: Do we truly recognize the image of God in all people, regardless of their status, background, or differences?
We need to see people correctly, as many moral philosophers and ethicists have recognized. In other words, if we fail to see someone as made in God's image, we reduce them to something lesser, even less than human. And if we dehumanize people, that can easily lead to mistreatment, marginalization, inequality, and injustice.
In contrast, when we learn to view all people—our neighbors, strangers, and even our enemies—with love and justice, we begin to recognize their inherent worth and dignity. (See Matthew 5:43-48.)
As believers in God, we need to see people as God does. May God’s Spirit work in us to see correctly all the people we are in community with, wherever we are.
Loving God, open our hearts to recognize the dignity and worth in each person. May we treat everyone with love, justice, and the honor they deserve. Amen.

Amazed By Lack Of Faith
Something to think about.
God Bless.
Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith. Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village. Mark 6:4-6 (NIV).
When Jesus visited his hometown, he was amazed by their lack of faith. Their familiarity with him and their offence at his words blinded them to his power. Faith opens the door for God’s work in our lives, while doubt and offense close it. Let us guard against unbelief and respond to Jesus with trust and honor. When Jesus looks at your faith, is He amazed by your trust or your unbelief? How can you grow in faith today?
Prayer: Father God, Please forgive me for the times I have doubted or allowed offense to block your work in my life. Help me to trust you fully and to live in a way that honors you. May my faith open the door for your power in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

Jesus Christ Is Amazing
There is nothing better than Jesus
God Bless.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 (NIV).
The same Jesus who amazed people with his teaching, miracles, and compassion is still at work today. He has not changed - his love, power, and authority remain constant. This truth gives us confidence to trust him with every part of our lives, knowing that he is faithful and able to do amazing things. How does knowing that Jesus is unchanging give you confidence in his ability to work in your life today?
Prayer: Father God, Thank you that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I trust in your unchanging love and faithfulness. Help me to live with confidence and faith, knowing that you are always at work in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

Kindness
Love this...
God Bless.
All the kindness which a person puts out into the world works on the heart and thoughts of humankind.
Albert Schweitzer
Today's Meditation:
Nothing touches the hearts and minds of others as deeply as kindness. It speaks universally, it crosses all barriers, and it opens all doors. If we wish to make this world a better place, all we must do is show more kindness.
The wonderful thing about kindness is we all have an unlimited supply of it. It costs us very little, yet it yields greatly for all. When I see the child that is sad, I can offer a smile, or say hello. To the lonely person sitting all alone, I can sit down and have a friendly conversation, or even simply sit next to them to offer them company while I eat. Who knows how much we each will benefit from the random acts of kindness we put forth in this world.
Each day we have breath to breathe, we can fill our lives with nameless acts of kindness and love. It takes very little effort when all is said and done. Make your spouse smile by leaving a loving note. Surprise your children with their favorite candy. Help your neighbor or a friend with a little chore. Visit the elderly at the nursing home. Call your parents or siblings and tell them that you love them. These acts of kindness will fill the hearts of the recipients and will overflow onto the rest of the world filling it with love and kindness.
Today's Challenge: Show kindness to three people today.
Questions to consider:
What are some of acts of kindness and love can you perform today? Are you able to do so without anyone knowing who did them?
What kinds of effects on others do such acts have?
Does the kindness you put out into the world end with that recipient, or carry on endlessly filling the cups of others in life?
For further thought:
For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself and the other for helping others.

If I Had
Something to think about
God Bless.
If I had my child to raise over again,
I'd finger paint more, and point the finger less.
I'd do less correcting, and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less, and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I'd run through more fields, and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging, and less tugging.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd teach less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.
It matters not whether my child is big or small,
From this day forth, I'll cherish it all.
Diana Loomans
Today's Meditation:
I have found it a very helpful practice to take some time to reflect and evaluate upon my parenting habits and methods from time to time. It is quite easy to get caught up in the duties and tasks of life and put parenting on the back burner, or to only give limited resources to my children. And by reflecting upon the joys available to me--the love, the memories, the laughter, the smiles, the kisses and hugs, the amazement and wonder, and so much more--I am able to increase my awareness of the beauty of children in each passing moment.
One of the things I tend to forget is that my happiness in life is tied to my experience of life. So if I let myself get stressed out, or anxious, or depressed, and miss out on experiencing the joys of parenting, then I also miss out on a plethora of happiness that is uniquely available to me during this chapter of my life. And this happiness is available for us all to experience--grandparents, foster parents, daycare workers, teachers, nannies, babysitters, aunts and uncles--for there is no chapter in our lives in which we are not able to "cherish it all" in our relationships with children.
Our children need us in their lives... and we need them just the same. Connect with them. Spend time with them. Care about them. Experience them. Support them with love and affirmation, hugs and kisses. Get the most out of parenting... you only get to raise your children once.
Today's Challenge: Give an hour of your day to a child.
Questions to consider:
Why is it difficult for us to remain focused on the importance of experiencing our relationships with our children?
How much effort do you put into parenting and/or positively affecting the lives of children?
What are some ways in which you can strengthen the lives of children with affirmation and love?
For further thought:
And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, "Speak to us of Children." And he said: Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness; For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

Quote Of The Day - Don't Ever Say
Food for thought.
God Bless.
“Don’t ever say, “I just cannot go on.” Instead, say, “I can do whatever I need to do through Christ who strengthens me. I will never quit, because God is on my side.”

God’s Timing
Its all about God and His wants.
Always.
This little devotional hopefully offers encouragement.
God Bless.
Sometimes we can be too quick and jump a head of what God is doing, and sometimes we can act too slow and miss it completely. God’s timing is perfect, it’s pleasing and good for us.
We need to choose God’s timing, not our own. God’s timing is perfect, it’s full of his promises and blessings. Ask God today to know His will and timing, to do as He directs and not before.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your timing is perfect. Lord, I pray You will help me to be obedient to Your will, so I am in the right place at the right time. Your timing, Lord, not mine. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I find wisdom in the word's written below along with encouragement. May you also as well.
