Tragic Moment
Just a little food for thought.
God Bless.
Do you have a fatal flaw — one weakness that could undo all your dreams if you give in to it? Most of us do. But by recognizing it and facing it squarely, we can take precautions to prevent ourselves from giving in to it. And we can ask God to help us to avoid the temptations that weaken our resolve.

Praise Him
Something to think about.
God Bless.
Daily Affirmation Devotional
by Christian Channel
Praise Him With Your Whole Heart
Today : Praise Him With Your Whole Heart
TODAY’S VERSE
“Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.” Psalms 103:1 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
What did David know? What had he seen? Was it possible that he knew the difference between ritual and sincere worship? Could he have seen his friends and family, and even himself go through religious motions? Did he feel what Isaiah felt when he wrote, “’This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” So what did David do? He committed to love God and praise Him with his whole heart. Today, we can do the same. Come to God and love Him with your whole being. Praise Him with your whole heart.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come and praise You with all that I am. I come to You with my whole heart. With everything in me, I praise Your holy name.
AMEN
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I praise God from the depth of my being
In quiet meditation come before God. As you sit before Him, let your praise come from deep inside you. See yourself loving Him with all your heart. Sense His love filling you as you thank Him and praise Him with your whole being.

Justice Will Be Done
Amen! Food for thought.
God Bless.
Justice Will Be Done
Devotional by John Piper
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19)
All of you have been wronged at one time or another. Most of you, probably, have been wronged seriously by someone who has never apologized or done anything sufficient to make it right.
And one of the deep hindrances to your letting go of that hurt and bitterness is the conviction — the justified conviction — that justice should be done, that the moral fabric of the universe will unravel if people can just get away with horrible wrongs and deceive everyone.
That is one of the hindrances to forgiveness and letting grudges go. It’s not the only one. We have our own sin to deal with. But it is a real one.
We feel that just to let it go would be to admit that justice simply won’t be done. And we can’t do it.
So we hold on to anger, and play the events or the words over and over again with the feelings: It shouldn’t have happened; it shouldn’t have happened; it was wrong; it was wrong. How can he (or she) be so happy when I am so miserable? It is so wrong. It is so wrong! We can’t let it go. And our bitterness starts to poison everything.
This word in Romans 12:19 is given to us by God to lift that burden from us.
“Never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God.” What does this mean for you?
Laying down the burden of anger, laying down the practice of nursing your hurt with feelings of being wronged — laying that down — does not mean there was no great wrong against you. There was.
But it also does not mean there is no justice. It does not mean you will not be vindicated. It does not mean they just got away with it. No they didn’t.
It means, when you lay down the burden of vengeance, God will pick it up.
This is not a subtle way of getting revenge. This is a way of giving vengeance to the One to whom it belongs. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. You lay it down. I will pick it up. Justice will be done.
What a glorious relief. I do not have to carry this burden. It is like taking a deep breath, perhaps for the first time in decades, and feeling like now at last you may be free to love.

GOD MY SAVIOUR
Luke 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
The word “Saviour” here is “Soter” meaning “presence”. Should we not imitate Mary, the blessed woman, in magnifying our Saviour and rejoicing in the finished work which He wrought in our behalf? It is never what we are, but what He is. Our joy is in Him and we rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory as we face this day with joyful hearts. Shall we not have a tender heart for those who do not know Him?
Saviour, like a shepherd lead us today to glorify Thy name in our efforts to win souls for Thee. Amen.

Don't Go Through Life
Love this.
Be encouraged.
God Bless.
Don't go through life, grow through life.
Eric Butterworth
Today's Meditation:
There is so much to be discovered, so much to be enjoyed, and so much to be shared in life, that it would be a shame to simply let it pass us by. Sure, life will continue to happen, regardless of our attitudes or how involved we are in it, but how drab and boring would such a life be?
We have unlimited potential... all we must do is get involved in life. Read books and learn, accomplish some tasks, take up a new and exciting hobby, exercise, participate in healthy discussions with your peers--expand your horizons. Every time we experience life just a little bit more, we come to recognize the value and importance in it. We make ourselves richer. We make our lives richer. We enhance the beauty and potential of our world and everyone in it.
And do not be afraid to explore a little. There is plenty of room for the finer things in life, but we can also explore some of the average beauty that is available to us each day. Being able to live our life to the fullest is exactly what makes it so special.
Today's Challenge: Spend some time growing today.
Questions to consider:
How often do we concentrate on simply "making it through the day?"
When we expand our horizons to include appreciation for things we might not have noticed before, what happens to our lives?
What are some ways we can actively "grow through life?"
For further thought:
Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world.

Pink Flowers
Wisdom from Joyce.
God Bless.
1 min read
Pink flowers sitting on an open Bible ready for reading a daily devotional.
Adapted from Quiet Times with God
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32 (NKJV)
Truth is wonderful. Jesus said it will make us free. But as wonderful as truth is, we must be willing to face it. Truth often shocks us into a reality we may feel unprepared to see, but if God is revealing it, He knows the time is right.
As tough as it might be to face the truth, especially when it requires that we make changes in our lives, it is always better than avoiding it. You will be so glad to live in the freedom and rewards it brings.
We can never get to where we want to be unless we truly face where we are. We must not look to the world to teach us how to live sincere, godly lives, but rather to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. These are the real sources of truth—truth that will change us, encourage us, instruct us, and set us free.
Prayer of the Day: Lord, give me courage to face truth, even when it’s hard. Help me trust Your Word and Spirit to guide, change, and set me free.

Finding Love
This...
Be encouraged.
God Bless.
We love Him because He first loved us.
- 1 John 4:19, NKJV
Our world is looking for love. As human beings, we need to love and be loved. But we’re looking in all the wrong places. We look for it from a parent,
from a child,
from a spouse,
from a friend,
But our parents grow old and die,
our children grow up and live their own lives,
our spouses are too busy or too tired,
our friends are superficial or selfish.
Who can truly understand the need of the human heart? Who can meet the need of our hearts? Where is love found?
Love is found in the heart of God.

Nothing To Say
Something to think about.
God Bless.
And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. Luke 10:39, NKJV.
Sometimes in prayer, I just sit before the Lord. I have nothing to say verbally, yet my heart is speaking volumes. My heart has requests that are beyond what I can articulate what I’m going through. We need the Lord’s help every day, and to sit at His feet and listen for His voice, to be in His presence, is exactly what we need.
Go before the Father in the morning and tell Him you are here. Step away on your lunch break and tell God you came to sit at His feet and hear what He has to say. Sit quietly before Him. Be still and He will remind you that He is God. Don’t allow a lack of words to keep you from spending time with God. When you go before Him, when you bow before Him or lift your hands, and even as you cry, you are in His presence, and the Lord will show up right where you are, and He will minister mightily to your life.
Prayer: Father, thank you that I can come before You. I sit before You right now. Even when I don’t have the words to say, hear my heart. No matter where I am, help me to be still and spend time before you. Thank you for your faithfulness to minister to me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"God’s Word is an incredible gift and a powerful tool. It has great relevance to our lives and it’s words can add power and meaning to our prayers. Take time to read and think about God’s Word. Claim it’s many beautiful promises for your life. Ask God to reveal the meaning of the text and how to apply it to your life. Finally, ask God to help you as you go throughout your day. "

Morals
Inspired me. I hope it inspires you.
God Bless.
Morals are an acquirement--like music, like a foreign language, like piety, poker, paralysis--no man is born with them.
Mark Twain
Today's Meditation:
It can be easy to forget that morality is the basic foundation upon which all walks of life are built. Doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, politicians, laborers, office workers, researchers, writers--every profession requires it. Yet how often is it stressed in our schools, at home, throughout society? Not often enough... of that I am sure.
As Mark points out, we are not born with morals. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that they are taught to our younger generations. We must put them on display in our own lives so that our children might acquire them during the course of their upbringing. Life is like that. We do not run before we can walk, and we do not walk before we can crawl. But crawling allows us to develop motor skills that will help us to walk, and months of practicing our walking allow us to start running. Likewise, years of teaching young people important lessons about morality and compassion and love and empathy and money management and trustworthiness can help that person to shine when he or she reaches the stage of being a professional. Those are the traits that will set us apart when others get to know us, not just as doctors or lawyers or police officers or administrative assistants, but us as human beings.
Children need us to teach them compassion and love, empathy and caring, honesty and integrity, generosity and sharing, and things of the like. Spend time acquiring a solid base of morality, and then share that with those around you. Providing a solid base for our children is one of the greatest gifts we can give them in life, and being a positive moral example is perhaps the best way of helping them become the person they were meant to be.
Today's Challenge: Help share morality with others today, even if simply by example.
Questions to consider:
What are some morals you have acquired throughout your life? What are some you have taught or shared with others?
What have you done lately to make yourself capable and sensible?
Why is it difficult for some of us to recognize, accept, and appreciate our humanity?
For further thought:
To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.
Theodore Roosevelt

All Problems
Leaving this here.
God Bless.
All problems become smaller if you don't dodge them, but confront them. Touch a thistle timidly, and it pricks you; grasp it boldly and its spines crumble.
William S. Halsey
Today's Meditation:
How often do we find ourselves avoiding conflict? How often do we share such misguided direction with others? If we live our life trying to avoid the common problems and the pitfalls that typically befall us--making as few mistakes as possible and trying to live our lives in a way that is as easy and trouble free as possible--we will find ourselves being "pricked" by the thistles of life. Sure life can cause us pain, discomfort, and even agony, but when we refuse to take on our problems and confront them with the determination to overcome them and grow, we allow them to grow.
William's metaphor is a wonderful way of looking at the problems we face in life. True they may cause us pain or discomfort. But if we refuse to deal with them, they grow. And if we pull back at the slightest feeling of discomfort, we allow them to continue to control us.
Many individuals become disillusioned because they expect life to be easy and fun. Of course, problems become the bane of their existence, as they become dreadful of mistakes, unpleasantness, and difficulty. Those of us who are successful and thrive in life are the ones who confront their problems, the ones who "grasp them boldly" until their ability to cause us pain is diminished and gone.
Life will be filled with flowers... but it will also have its thistles. It is up to us to decide how we wish to deal with them when we encounter them: either timidly touching them and shirking away in pain, or confronting them boldly, and rendering them harmless in our grasp.
Today's Challenge: Confront all problems you are faced with today.
Questions to consider:
Why do we try to avoid the problems in our life?
Are you at your best when faced with adversity, or when the times are easy?
How can you ensure that you learn all that there is to learn from the difficulties in your life?
For further thought:
I have always found that each step we take in life is to be regretted--if we once begin to wonder how many other steps might have been possible.

Wisdom.
God Bless.
“You may have some major strongholds in your life that need to be broken. Let me encourage you by saying, “God is on your side.” There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But the good news is that God is fighting on your side.”

Three Things
Amen!
Be encouraged.
God Bless.
"Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love." -1 Corinthians 13:13
"The greatest of these may be love, but don't underestimate the power of hope. When we are in our deepest depths of despair, it is hope that keeps us going when it's hard to get out of bed. Have you lost sight of our hope? Our hope is everlasting. Our hope is full of grace. Our hope is in Christ Jesus. "
