Dig In With Both Heels

May we live the word's written below.

God Bless.

Dig in with both heels and say, "I am never going to quit and I am never going to give up. Devil, you just go wear yourself out bothering somebody else because I am going to get from the pit to the palace and you are not going to stop me."

God, Because

Amen!!!

God Bless

God, because I know Your Word, I can take every thought captive. Help me to come into perfect agreement with Your Word. Give me the wisdom to reject negative thoughts and fix my mind on what is true and honorable and right. Lord, I want to know the truth of Your Word down deep. Help me to hide Your scriptures in my heart so I can come into agreement with You whenever I sense a need in my spirit. God, thank You for Your perfect direction, Your wisdom and guidance, and Your unfailing love. I know Your Word is true, and I’m believing You. In Jesus' name, Amen!

Be Kind

Kindness, the new cool factor.

God Bless.

Be Kind

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (NLT) -Ephesians 4:32

Is there someone in your life you struggle to show kindness towards?  Maybe that one person who just pushes your buttons?  God instructs us to instead of responding with irritation or anger, to be kind and forgive. How might embracing this model might transform some of your relationships?  Imagine how laying down your “right” to be offended could pave the way for you to show a bit of God’s unconditional love to others!  Be a vessel of God’s goodness through the simple choice to show kindness as you go through your day.

There Is Something

His love for us is amazing. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

There is something in you that God loves. Not just appreciates or approves, but loves. You cause God’s eyes to widen, his heart to beat faster. He loves you and accepts you. Don’t we yearn to know this? God, do you know who I am? In the great scheme of things, we ask, do I count for anything?

So many messages tell us we don’t. We get laid off at work, turned away by the school. Everything from acne to Alzheimer’s leaves us feeling like the girl with no date to the prom. We react, we validate our existence with a flurry of activity. We do more, buy more, achieve more. Always wrestling with the question, “Do I matter?”

All of grace, I believe, is God’s definitive reply: “Be blessed, my child. I accept you. I have adopted you into my family.” Adopted children are chosen children. Trust God’s love for you.

No Weapon

Something to think about and encouragement in the word's written below.

God Bless.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD” Isaiah 54:17, Berean Study Bible.

“Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire” Hebrews 12:28-29, Berean Study Bible.

You may feel that you’ve allowed the words of others to put out your fire. You may fear you’ve lost your glow and can’t get it back. What you don’t know is their words are only a small wind but God’s presence within you, my sister, is a fiery blaze. He is an all-consuming fire, and no words are powerful enough to put out His Light. He has been faithfully protecting the treasure He placed within you all this time, and He will continue to allow nothing to reach that place where His Spirit lives. You are covered by the Almighty. His love surrounds you. His gentle but strong hands are shielding and protecting the fire He’s put in you. Now, let His words of life heal the wounds caused by their words.

Prayer: Father, thank you for speaking directly to the core of my being. You are my Light, you are my Fire, and nothing and no one can put you out. I rebuke the winds of words spoken against me and declare your fire will grow, and I will glow with your love. Thank you for covering me. Thank you for surrounding me. Heal every wound people’s words caused and continue to remind me of who you are within me. You are greater than anything in the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Removing Barriers To Healing

Good to know and ponder in the word's written below. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Removing Barriers to Healing

Jesus was wounded that we might be healed.
Often, issues within the hearts and lives of God’s people act as barriers to healing. Seven common such barriers are: (1) ignorance of God’s Word (see Isaiah 5:13; Hosea 4:6); (2) unbelief (see Hebrews 3:12–13); (3) unconfessed sin (see Proverbs 28:13); (4) resentment and unforgiveness toward others (see Mark 11:25–26); (5) occult involvement (see Exodus 23:24–26); (6) unscriptural covenants, i.e., Freemasonry (see Exodus 23:31–33); and (7) the effects of a curse (see Deuteronomy 28:15–68). Sometimes sicknesses are caused by, or associated with, the presence of evil spirits. Let’s look at just one example from the gospel of Luke.

When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons [evil spirits] also came out of many, crying out.(Luke 4:40–41)

When the supernatural power of God comes into operation, evil spirits cannot stand it any longer; they have to come out.

There are different ways in which evil spirits are associated with sickness. There are spirits of infirmity, pain, crippling, and death, to name only four. Jesus encountered a woman who was bent double and could not stand up straight. Rather than treat her condition as a physical ailment, He said that she had been bound by a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years. Then, He loosed her from the spirit, and she immediately straightened up. (See Luke 13:11–13.)

Thank You, Jesus, for Your work on the cross. I proclaim that when God’s supernatural power comes into operation, all barriers to healing fall because
Jesus was wounded that I might be healed. Amen.

Some Of You Right Now

Avoiding A Fight

Food for thought in the area of fighting. Stay alert. Stay encouraged and fight the one who deserves it the most.

God Bless

Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling. (NLT) -Proverbs 20:3

Do you seek pride through being right when you argue? Quarreling doesn't bring God praise or glory. Affirm your honor by avoiding a fight. By doing so, God will bring peace to both parties. The next time you find yourself treading closely to a fight, test your honor. Can you back down without losing your honor?

Living At Peace

There is nothing like peace. In fact, it should be our road map in life.

God Bless.

Living at Peace

Peace is one of the most important elements to enjoying your life.

A life of frustration and struggle, a life without peace, is the result of focusing on things you can’t do anything about. When you worry about things beyond your control, stress and anxiety begin to creep into your life.

The apostle Paul said, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV).
Once we realize we are struggling with something and feel upset, we need to start praying and immediately turn the situation over to God, thankful He will provide according to His will and offer us peace. You and I are not called to a life of frustration and struggle. Jesus came so we could have righteousness, joy, and peace!

Prayer of Thanks: Father, I am grateful for peace. It is a wonderful gift that You have given me, and I ask for Your help to always be peaceful in every situation.

No Death Only Life

Life. The only thing that matters. It's how we live it that gets us in trouble. May you find encouragement in the word's written below.

God Bless.

No Death, Only Life!

 Proverbs 12:28 28

In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. God does not want us to worry about whatever happens in the world. We don’t need to be affected by whatever is causing the world to be afraid because we are the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

And the Bible says, “In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.” The patriarchs of the Old Testament did not suffer during the famines that occurred in their lifetimes. Abraham remained very rich in livestock, silver and gold. (Genesis 12:10, 13:1–2) Isaac reaped a hundredfold in the land he sowed. (Genesis 26:1, 12–14) Joseph, with his entire family, was richly provided for in Egypt. (Genesis 47:11–13, 27) They weren’t just spared from suffering — they prospered exceedingly! So even if our nation or the world enters a recession, we need not suffer. As long as we keep our eyes on Jesus, our righteousness, we will thrive! This proved true for a church member whose boss told everyone to expect a substantial pay cut during an economic downturn. But while her colleagues received pay cuts, she received a substantial increment! As the righteousness of God in Christ, she saw provision in a time of lack. In the midst of fearful news such as terrorist attacks, deadly pestilences and natural calamities, God says, “In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.”

In fact, He protected an entire coastal town in South India during the Asian Tsunami in 2004. A pastor who lived in that coastal town was praying that morning when he felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to plead the blood of Jesus over his entire town. So he did just that. When the tsunami struck, his town was untouched while five other towns, which were further inland, were wiped out by the devastating flood. My friend, God protects us when the world is experiencing evil because we are the righteousness of God in Christ. His Word declares that “in the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death”!

Thought For The Day You don’t need to be affected by whatever is causing the world to be afraid because you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

SOAP

Some food for thought.

Be encouraged. Continue to seek Him.

God Bless.

Why S.O.A.P. your verses? It's one thing to simply read scripture, but when you interact with it, when you learn to slow down to REALLY read it, suddenly words start popping off the page. By SOAPing your verses you are able to dig deeper into scripture and "see" more than if you simply read the verses and then went on your merry way.

Let me encourage you to take the time to SOAP the daily verses and see for yourself how much more you get out of your daily Bible reading! What does S.O.A.P. mean? S - stands for Scripture- Physically write out the scripture and you'll be amazed at what God will reveal to you just by taking the time to slow down and write out what you are reading! O - stands for Observation- What do you observe in the verses that you're reading? Who is the audience? Is there a repetition of words? What words stand out to you? A - stands for Application- This is when God's Word becomes personal. What is God saying to me today? How can I apply what I just read to my own personal life? What changes do I need to make? Is there an action that I need to take? P - stands for Prayer- Pray God's Word back to Him. If He has revealed something to you during this time in His Word, pray about it. Confess if He has revealed some sin that is in your life.

Disconnect

Be encouraged. Every one at one point in there life has felt disconnect.

May you find encouragement in the word's written below.

God Bless.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. (NLT) -Mark 1:35

Are you feeling disconnected from God? Do you feel a void in your life? Maybe it's time you take some time out intentionally to spend time with God. Eliminate yourself from any interruptions and seek God in prayer. We should have private time with God even if we aren't feeling separated from Him in order to focus on God.

Boldly Facing Any New Challenge

Truth bomb yet hope is available to anyone who is living in fear.

God Bless.

Boldly Facing Any New Challenge

Many times we are far too fearful of trials and trouble. At the first sign of trouble, we begin to shrink back in fear. The believers who lived in past centuries seemed to display a different strength than most do today. We are rather accustomed to convenience and usually don’t do well with suffering of any type; it frightens us.

Let’s remember how David faced the giant Goliath and be joyful and thankful that we can defeat our enemies too. We can attack fear rather than letting it rule us. You are much more than your feelings. You are a powerful, wise, beloved child of God, and you can do whatever you need to do in life through Christ, who is your strength (see Philippians 4:13).

Prayer of Thanks: Thank You, Father, for the strength that I have because You are with me. No matter how difficult a challenge may seem, I will attack it with boldness because I know that nothing is impossible for You.

A Brand New Body

May the trumpet blow soon but until then, stay encouraged.

God Bless.

A Brand New Body At The Blast Of A Trumpet!

1 Thessalonians 4:16 16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

All over the world, Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Occurring usually in the month of September, this feast is celebrated with the blowing of trumpets — the shofar or ram’s horn. That is why it is also called the Feast of Trumpets. The Jews observe seven feasts: The Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement and Tabernacles. The first four have been fulfilled literally by Jesus. He was the Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7), the bread of life (John 6:35) and the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. (1 Corinthians 15:20) And when Pentecost had fully come after His ascension, He sent us the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:1–4) So the next feast that we are waiting for Jesus to fulfill literally is the Feast of Trumpets. Why is this feast significant to us? Because when Jesus fulfills it, it means that we are going up to meet Him in the clouds! I am talking about the rapture of the church. When the trumpet sounds, “in the twinkling of an eye”, we who are alive will be changed. We will put on new bodies that will be like Jesus’! Those who are dead in Christ will rise and also receive new bodies. They will go up first followed by us who are alive, and we will all meet the Lord in the air. (1 Corinthians 15:51–55) This means that there is a possibility that you might not see death!

The Bible says, “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17) It is one thing to happen to be alive, but quite another to remain alive. I believe that there is a generation of Christians who know the resurrection power of the Lord. They know how to walk in their inheritance and put off sickness and death until the coming of the Lord. My friend, may you be counted as one of them as you take the Lord Jesus and His finished work as your victory over sickness and death!

Thought For The Day When the trumpet sounds, we who are alive will put on new bodies like Jesus’!

Confidence In Your Father

You can trust Him. You can believe in Him and all He claims to be. He will always be there. Seek Him with a new passion and find encouragement while you do.

God Bless.

Confidence in Your Father

“This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us; And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him” 1 John 5:15-16, KJV.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us” Ephesians 3:20, KJV. My niece has a close relationship with her father. She has total confidence in him. Whenever she’s in lack, she knows who to call on. Last week, she realized that she needed materials for school. She called her dad and told him exactly what she needed. I remember asking her if he would have the material before the following week. She said, “I don’t know when he’s going to bring it, but he’s going to bring it.” Sure enough, he was on time and brought more than she asked for. Like an earthly father cares for his daughter and tends to her every need, your Father in heaven does that and beyond—the exceedingly and abundantly. When we go to God in prayer concerning our lives or the lives of others, it shows that we have confidence in Him. We don’t turn to anyone else but Him. He’s our provider. He’s our Father. As a matter of fact, He knows our need before we even ask. How amazing is that? We can rest in knowing that the God of the universe hears us and will always do His part because He’s a faithful God.

Prayer: Lord God, we thank you for being our provider and refuge. You have been a faithful Father to us and for that we bless your name. Our trust is in You and You alone. We trust that you hear the cries of your daughters. Help us to not worry about what we don’t have, but what we do have—we have You and we are content with that portion. Thank you in advance that every need is met. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

So Why Do You

Food for thought and word's to be meditated on

God Bless.

"So why do you keep calling me 'Lord, Lord!' when you don't do what I say?" (NLT) -Luke 6:46

Do you ever get a feeling that God is telling you to do something? That is called conviction. Sometimes, we are convicted to do things that are difficult and all we want to do is run away. But when we run away, we compromise with God. We want the benefits of a relationship but when He asks us to obey Him, we are not willing to do the hard work. What area of your life is God convicting you to honor Him with?

God The Living Word

He's alive! Now let's live like He is.

God Bless.

God the Living Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1, NIV

John’s Gospel begins with the astounding statement that “In the beginning was the Word.” The Greek translation for “word” is logos, which means the outward expression of all that God is. Plato once said that he hoped one day there would come a “logos” from God that would make everything clear. John said He has come! “And the Word was with God . . .” as another separate, supreme Being. “And the Word was God.”

Although the Word is another separate Person from God the Father, He is no less in power, position, or personality. Because He is God the Creator! “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. . . . The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only Son who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, NIV)
The “One and Only Son who came from the Father” is the logos of God through Whom God created everything, and His name is JESUS!

The Value Of One

This is a very interesting little devotional but I still find some encouragement within and I wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless.

The Value of One

Only hours before Kim Haskins’ high school graduation, an auto accident took the life of her father and left Kim and her mother hospitalized. The next day, Joe Garrett, Kim’s high school principal, visited her at the hospital and said they wanted to do something special for her at the school. The Gazette (Colorado Springs) article by James Drew described the outpouring of love and support as the teachers, administrators, and classmates—deeply touched by Kim’s loss—filled the high school auditorium a few days later at a graduation ceremony just for her.

Principal Garrett said, “We talk a lot in education about no child left behind. In the military, they talk about no soldier left behind. Today, this is about no graduate left behind.”

Jesus underscored the importance of every person to God with three stories about something lost—a sheep, a coin, and a son (Luke 15). In each story, a person has lost something of great value. When it is found, friends and neighbors are called to celebrate and rejoice together. The point is clear: We are all of great value to God, who offers us forgiveness and new life through Christ. And He faithfully pursues us with His love and grace. There is great joy in heaven over one sinner who repents (v.7).

—David McCasland

Our value is measured by what God has done for us.

For God Has Not

Some much needed encouragement for the world we live in.

God Bless.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (NLT) -2 Timothy 1:7

Do you have a lot of worries over circumstances you cannot control? Dear friend, one ounce of worry doesn't do an ounce of good. Letting worry creep in means you are giving control of the situation over to a spirit of fear. If you find yourself worrying about something, stop and occupy your mind in a way that solves the problem. Better yet, get your hands busy and put on a spirit of love by serving others.
