In You

Food for thought.

God Bless.

In You

But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. (NLT) -Psalm 56:3

Fear overtakes us when we focus on temporary things. Fear wins when we focus only on what the news is reporting. When we start feeling fear rise up in us, turn your focus to the Lord. Put your trust in Him. He is our only sure thing in this life.

Gift Of A New Day

A prayer for encouragement.

God Bless.

Dear God, Thank you for the gift of a new day. As we open our eyes to this new morning, we ask that you be with us and guide us throughout the day ahead. Help us to start the day with a positive attitude and a grateful heart. Please bless and protect us, our family, and all those who are dear to us. We ask that you watch over us and keep us safe from harm. Help us to make wise choices and to treat others with kindness and compassion. Please give us the strength to face any challenges that may come our way today, and the courage to do what is right. May we be filled with your love and grace, and may we be a blessing to others in all that we do. Thank you for your love and faithfulness to us. We pray that you will be with us always, and that we will continue to grow in our faith and trust in you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

DreamBusters

I can contest to some of the word's written below so when I read this little devotional I was encouraged.

I wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless.

Listen to God, Not Your Doubts Have you noticed that the moment you establish a goal in your life you start hearing people say, "Who do you think you are'? "It can't be done, forget about it?" I call them DreamBusters.

DreamBusters can be critics. They can be cynics. They can come from the culture around you. They can also be friends and family. But the biggest DreamBuster can be you, the way you talk to yourself. The antidote to the voices of doubt is to instead listen to the voice of God. Just imagine all the DreamBusters that were in Noah's life. How would you like to be Noah's next-door-neighbor? "That guy Noah, he thinks God speaks to him, but he's just messing up all of our property values by building that ark in his front yard.' The Bible tells us that Noah listened to God. And what did he hear? He heard God's warning that the world was going to be destroyed. He heard what he had not yet seen. That's what faith is, being certain of something we don't see. So Noah didn't turn back on the vision God had given him. Instead, he built the ark.

To Hear God

To Hear God, Get Near Him Noah built the ark in faith.
Something to ponder.

God Bless.

"He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before." (Hebrews 11:7a NLT)

How did he believe these things that had never happened before would actually happen? Because Noah could hear God! So how do you do that? You say, "I want to trust God, but I don't hear him.' To hear God you've got to get near God. You don't hear God when your mind is filled with a thousand other distractions. You've got to get alone with God and be quiet. The Bible says, "Be still and know that I am God." That means sit down and shut up. That's how you hear God and get near to God. You got to sit alone and just be quiet with your Bible, and say, "God, is there anything you want to say to me'? You read God's Word and you talk to him about what's on your heart. Pray -- God, I want to listen to you, not the voices of doubt. I want to hear you, and I promise to then obey you. I want to be one of the people that you can use and bless in the next ten years. I want those years to be a decade of destiny for me and my family.

You Are His Delight

You are His Delight indeed.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Today : You Are His Delight
TODAY’S VERSE
“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

TODAY’S MESSAGE
Some thoughts are so powerful, they can change your life. Or at least they should. This passage is that way. If you can read, “He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing” and not feel special, not feel like God adores you, not be moved to gratitude and thankfulness for His attention toward you, then you need to read it again. If you can read, “The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save you” and not feel secure, special and in a safe place, then you need to stop, ask God to speak to your heart, and read this verse over. Today’s verse can change your life, if you let it.

Don't Give Up

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

Don't Give Up!

When God gives you a dream, you can be sure you'll run into delays, difficulties, detours and dead ends along the way. They are a natural part of life. But you can be ready for them. Now if anybody had a right to be discouraged, it was Noah. Do you know how long it took Noah to build the ark? 120 years. Could you go 120 years on a project without one word of encouragement from anybody else in society? Noah trusted God. And when he heard God's warning about the future, Noah believed him even though there was no sign of a flood. I bet there were many days that Noah didn't feel like going to work, but for 43,800 days, he went to the same place and he worked. He never gave up. Don't give up on your dream either. Don't give up on the marriage. Don't give up on your health. Don't, don't, don't give up. God is in control. You haven't read the final chapter of your life. God's already written it, but you haven't read it yet. The Bible says, "God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him." God is looking for people that he can bless. I want you to be one of those people. Don't give up!

Make Your Requests with Thankfulness

Joyce Meyer

An open Bible ready for reading a daily devotional, next to a cup of coffee and vase of roses.
Adapted from Starting Your Day Right

And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

 Philippians 4:7 (AMPC)
God’s Word reveals a wonderful plan for your life. It shows how God sees you, and what He has for you through Jesus Christ. Keep your thoughts and words in agreement with God’s Word.

Say, “Everything I lay my hand to prospers and succeeds. I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. I am blessed going in and going out. The blessings of God chase me down and overtake me. God is on my side. I am blessed to be a blessing to everyone I meet today.”

Prayer of the Day: Thank You, Father, for the way You and Your Word guide and direct me as I go through my day, and thank You for the wonderful plan You have for my life.

Encouragement

I love this little devotional.

I love what it implies and for me, encouragement is right up there on my list of being Christ like.

Be encouraged and go encouraged someone today.

God Bless.

Today : Encouragement

TODAY’S VERSE
Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29 (NLT)

TODAY’S MESSAGE
What a wonderful calling. What a tremendous privilege is ours. God has called us to be an encourager. Encouragement. It can change a person’s life; alter the destiny of families. Nations can rise and fall – alright, maybe not that dramatic, but who can deny the power of encouragement? How many of us have been overwhelmed, about ready to give up and someone stopped and in a loving moment, poured encouragement all over us? Is there anything more refreshing? God loves the whole world and He has chosen you and I to be His messenger of encouragement. Might He lead us to someone in need of encouragement today.

Blessed

"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers" - (Psalms 1:1)

Devotional

The Psalmist gives instructions for righteous living. Which do you want? Blessing or curse? Blessing leads to happiness and righteous living while curse leads to unhappiness and a wicked lifestyle. To be called blessed you must avoid that which is evil. Evil works, evil company, evil deeds, and evil speech must be shunned. Blessed is different and it demands a different lifestyle. Do not be pressured by the way of the world which strives with the way of God. Walk the righteous path and be called blessed to the honor and glory of your Father above.

Lying

Truth. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Lying

The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth. (NLT) -Proverbs 12:22

Lying is one way we build sin traps in our lives. Even a small step away from the truth can start a domino effect that pushes us further and further away from the truth as we strive to cover our lies. Soon enough you are surrounded by a whole web of lies! Avoid that first lie. Make truth telling a value in your life.

First Love

He is and was and always will be our first love.

Or at least He should and needs to be.

God Bless.

"We love him, because he first loved us." - (1 John 4:19)

Devotional

John writes about God's love for us. First love, these words may bring back sweet or bitter memories. It's the kind of love you don't forget easily because it leaves a lasting impression and influences who you are. God loved you first, before you knew about Him, before you were born, before the beginning of time, before your grandparents met, He was the initiator, He loved you FIRST! That's the kind of love every woman desires. He made ALL the necessary provisions for you, He fights for you, He protects you, He delivers you, He favors you, your ultimate response should be to love Him in return. This first love is authentic, embrace it.

Jesus Reconciles Us

Here is some food for thought.

Stay encouraged.

God Bless.

Jesus Reconciles Us

 COLOSSIANS 1:15-23
Now [God] has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.

— Colossians 1:22

I have friends and family who have been estranged from one another. It is, at best, unpleasant. At worst, it is horrible and painful. Spouses despise each other; children and parents don’t speak to each other for years; business partners want to be rid of each other. Things can get ugly in this old world.

This is why the news of God’s reconciliation is so marvelous. The hatred, enmity, and hostility are scrubbed away. We are doused in the cleansing blood of Jesus. We can be reconciled to God and to others because we are made blameless and spotless again through Jesus.

Jesus makes us spotless and blameless through his own body and blood. We are no longer stained, sinful, and bitter. We are new people, remade with holy ingredients. Once we are reconciled with God, we learn to forgive as the Lord has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). It is no longer the old sinner who comes forward to bind up the ruptures we have with others. It is a new person, who is holy and without blame or blemish. Once we are made new in Christ, we can respond to others as Jesus responded to them. And they can see us not as the blameworthy people who harmed them, but through the eyes of Christ, who accepts us all. Anyone who is reconstituted in Jesus can and should accept another.

God, thank you for reconciling us to yourself through the death of Jesus. Help us to be reconciled with others through Jesus as well. Amen.

Jesus Is The Resurrection And The Life

Thank you, Lord for giving up everything for us.

Be encouraged and God Bless.

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life

JOHN 11:17-27; 1 CORINTHIANS 15:20-23
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”

— John 11:25

This quotation is a brief summary of the good news of Jesus. He says that anyone who believes in him will live, even after death. He says that life comes only through him. And he does not merely say that he knows how to find the resurrection and the life; he says, “I am the resurrection and the life.” This occurs amid the dramatic story of the raising of Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha, Jesus’ close friends. Lazarus became ill and died while Jesus was away. Jesus even waited to come so that everyone would know Lazarus was surely dead by the time Jesus arrived. Jesus did this so that his followers would believe, learning that he had the power to raise someone from the dead. Then Jesus went to Lazarus’s tomb and brought his friend back to life, so that everyone would believe and see the glory of God (John 11:1-44). Soon after that, resurrected life became available to all—through Jesus’ own death and resurrection. As the apostle Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 15, Jesus became “the firstfruits” of resurrection life for all who “belong to him”—that is, for all who believe in him as Savior and Lord. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, all can rise with him. All that God requires is that we believe Jesus is indeed the resurrection and the life.

Jesus, you are the resurrection and the life. Raise us with you. Thank you for giving us life after death, that we may live with you as part of God’s family forever. Amen.

How we should honor Him Who Is to Be King of kings and Lord of lords! How graciously He has clothed us with His Own Righteousness and given us the Promise that we should Reign -WITH- Him for a thousand years!

Blessed Lord, we bow at Thy feet and worship Thee, as we lovingly look for the day when we shall be -WITH- Thee an -LIKE- Thee, indeed! Amen.

Healing For The Brokenhearted

Some encouragement.

God Bless.

Healing for the Brokenhearted
Joyce Meyer – Mar 28, 2024
3 min read

An open Bible ready for reading a daily devotional, sitting in a bed of flowers.
Adapted from Healing the Soul of a Woman

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds….

 Psalm 147:3 (AMPC)
Those who are brokenhearted are broken in their personality. They are unable to function properly because of their wounds. They have been deeply hurt and are unable to move beyond their past pain.

It is important that we don’t merely park at the point of our pain and remain there for the rest of our lives. God is the author of new beginnings, and whether we are wounded due our own sin, or because of the sin of others who have harmed us, we are the only ones who can decide whether to move on or stay parked. Take your life out of park and start moving forward toward the great future God has arranged for you.

The apostle Paul is a great example of someone who kept shaking off the past and pressing forward. He moved past his own sin, past the persecution he received from others as his reward for simply trying to help them, past unfair imprisonment, beatings, abandonment, and many other painful things. He also moved past his own imperfections in his daily walk with God and said that letting go of what was behind was his determined purpose in life.

When we are hurting, moving forward isn’t always easy because our mind and emotions are telling us to just give up. Although change isn’t easy and is often painful, we have only two choices—to endure the pain of change or to endure the pain of never changing. It is easy to see which choice makes the most sense. If there will be pain either way, why not choose the pain of progress?

To keep going forward in the midst of personal pain takes a lot of courage. You may not even want to get out of bed in the morning, let alone be active and do what life requires that day, but if you live by wise choices rather than by your feelings, you can do it.

I vividly remember my father repeatedly telling me, “You will never amount to anything,” but with God’s help, I overcame his negative words. If those who should have affirmed you tore you down with their words, you too can overcome their words by seeing what God says about you and meditating on His words instead. God says many wonderful things about you, things such as: You are fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14). You are loved unconditionally (see Jeremiah 31:3) and accepted (see John 6:37). You are precious and honored in His sight (Isaiah 43:4). His Word includes many similar truths that will build you up and renew your mind so you can think about yourself and your life the way God wants you to. Don’t settle for less than the best life that God wants to give you. Perhaps you are facing a time of testing in your life right now, and the temptation to quit and give up is strong. Know this: You have what it takes to go through it and experience victory on the other side.

It’s not too late! I’m sure the devil has told you the lie that it is too late for you. However, it is never too late for God to heal and restore anyone who truly wants Him to.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, thank You for healing my broken heart and making me whole.

The Joy Of His Presence

His presence is a gift and a must to make it in this world. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

The Joy Of His Presence
Today : The Joy Of His Presence

TODAY’S VERSE
“You have given him the joy of being in your presence.” Psalms 21:6 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What a gift. God has actually put the capacity to experience His presence in us. Like an antenna picks up the signal sent to it, God has put His Holy Spirit within us, enabling us to experience Him. But an antenna is of no value, if there isn’t a signal. You see, this passage is more about God than us. It is God that sends His presence out to us. It is God that desires our fellowship. It is His grace that causes Him to seek us out. Does that grab you? Let me say it again. The God of the universe not only allows us an audience with Him, He comes to us and seeks us out! And even more, when we respond, we will receive what David did. God will give us the joy of being in His presence.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for seeking me out. Thank You for inviting me to experience Your presence. I pray for more Father. I pray that I may experience the deep joy that you offer from being in Your presence.
AMEN

TODAY’S VISUALIZATION & MEDITATION
I experience the joy of being in God’s presence
Quiet your mind. Visualize yourself in a peaceful place and let yourself relax. Let go of chatter in your mind and ask God to help you experience His presence. Sit patiently meditating on His great love. Invite God to come and reveal His love to your heart. Think of His peace. Let His presence fill your heart with peace. As you meditate on Him, let His presence fill you with joy.

What It Means To Pray For Your Enemies

This right here. So much to unpack. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44)

Prayer for your enemies is one of the deepest forms of love, because it means that you have to really want that something good happen to them.

You might do nice things for your enemies without any genuine desire that things go well with them. But prayer for them is in the presence of God who knows your heart, and prayer is interceding with God on their behalf.

It may be for their conversion. It may be for their repentance. It may be that they would be awakened to the enmity in their hearts. It may be that they will be stopped in their downward spiral of sin, even if it takes disease or calamity to do it. But the prayer Jesus has in mind here is always for their good.

This is what Jesus did as he hung on the cross:

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34)

And it’s what Stephen did as he was being stoned:

Falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” (Acts 7:60)

Jesus is calling us not just to do good things for our enemy, like greeting them and helping supply their needs (Matthew 5:47); he is also calling us to desire their best, and to express those desires in prayers, even when the enemy is nowhere around.

Our hearts should desire their salvation and desire their presence in heaven with us and desire their eternal happiness. May God give us grace to pray like the apostle Paul for the Jewish people, many of whom made life very hard for Paul:

My heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. (Romans 10:1)

Even The Wind

Some encouragement written in the word's below

God Bless.

Even the Wind

The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!” (NLT) -Mark 4:41

Can you imagine being in the middle of a life-threatening storm while your leader is fast asleep! He wakes up and just calmly in all the commotion tells the wild waters to ‘be still’ and just like that the wind and waves subside. I think if I was there I would be freaking out! This is the God we serve. He is the author of all Creation. Next time you face a terrifying storm, remember to run to Jesus. He will see you through!

Trust Is A Hard Thing

The title says it all. Something to work hard at but in most case worth it.

God Bless.

Trust is a hard thing to come by in the world. When you are surrounded by people who only have their best interests at heart, it can be very hard to find someone you can confide in. The thought of giving a person a glance into your heart and your mind can be daunting.

People are capable of convincing you that you can trust them, but the moment you have finished confiding in them, they are already thinking of the way they're going to tell someone else about everything that you've just shared with them. People are capable of smiling in your face and talking behind your back at the same time. Such things leave very little to be desired when it comes to trying to trust people and letting them into your lives.

Fortunately, with God we don't have such worries. We know that God has our lives in our hands and this gives us peace. It does not scare us and it definitely does not give us any reason to worry. God truly is the only one who has your best interests at heart. Everything He guides you in is for your benefit. This is why he constantly urges us to follow the guiding of His Spirit.

He isn't trying to control us. He is trying to prevent us from experiencing anything detrimental to our health and our livelihood as his children.

Think of an interaction between a child and their mother. A child may walk into the kitchen and tell their mom that they are ready to drive a car. The mother will look at her eight year old child and tell them that they are not ready to drive. The child might become upset and think that their mother is trying to stifle their dreams. But the mother is actually protecting them. If the child tries to drive at their young age, they will end up injuring or even killing themselves.

Who Is He

Food for that mixed with a little but of encouragement.

God Bless.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Inspiration

Overcoming the world sounds like an impossible feat. How do we defeat the forces of greed, strife, and pride that define the ways of the world? Only through Jesus, who leads us in a life of humble sacrifice. In Jesus, we find the peace of a secure eternity, no matter what we face in this world, freeing us to pursue His kingdom instead of worldly gains.

Prayer

Lord God, thank You for calling me to be a child of Your kingdom. You’ve called me to resist the ways of the world as I live for You, but I cannot do it alone. Thank You for sending Jesus to live that I may have an example to follow. And thank You for His death and resurrection, by which I receive the power to follow You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Pain Of Betrayal

This...

God Bless.

The Pain of Betrayal

Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" - Luke 22:48, NKJV

Judas was one of Jesus’ very closest friends. He had been handpicked to be a disciple. He had been given the special responsibility of being treasurer for the entire band of disciples – a responsibility he had enjoyed as it gave him access to personal petty cash as well as prestige in the eyes of others. Yet it was this disciple who betrayed his Lord and Friend with a kiss! And although Jesus clearly knew the betrayal was coming, it was still a knifelike stab to His heart.

Have you ever been betrayed . . .

by a spouse who has taken a secret lover?

by a sibling who has stolen your inheritance?

by a coworker who has taken the credit for a job you did?

If you have experienced betrayal, then you understand something of the stabbing pain Judas inflicted at the very outset of Jesus’ uphill struggle to the Cross and would resolve never to betray another.

Guarding Your Mind

Some food for thought

God Bless

Guarding Your Mind

Our minds control everything. They influence our thoughts that affect our feelings, and our feelings affect our actions. It all starts in the mind. You are not responsible for every little stray thought that flits or passes through your mind from conversations you overhear by accident or things that you see by accident. What you are responsible for are the thoughts you choose to hold on to and go over and over in your mind. This is an area of irresponsibility even for many long-time Christians. I know a lot of people who are true believers in Christ, but they're watching trashy TV, listening to trash radio, and reading trashy magazines and novels. Whatever you put into your mind is inevitably going to come out in your behavior and your beliefs. It weakens you and it weakens your values because you've become accustomed to it. When things don't bother you any more that is a warning light that you've already passed the threshold. One of the ways Satan tries to get sin and deviant behavior acceptable is to get you to laugh at it. Once you've laughed, your barriers have lowered. If Satan can get you laughing at something that is wrong or sinful, you've already lost the battle. Sin is not funny. It put Jesus on the cross.

Don't Be Afraid

What the world needs now is encouragement and I believe you can find some in the word's below.

God Bless.

Don’t Be Afraid

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (NLT) -Deuteronomy 31:6

Our world is filled with fear, anxiety, and terror. Our news feeds are full of reasons to panic but thankfully when we are a part of God’s family we can grasp and take hold of a miraculous sense of peace. God tells us that he will never leave us or forsake us…no matter what situation we face. We can live with peace because we serve a God that is present and who tells us through his Word that he wins in the end!

God Bless.

Gratitude: A Heart of Thankfulness

 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

— 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Gratitude is a transformative attitude. It helps us to shift from looking at what we don’t have to seeing the abundance of blessings around us. In our gratitude we choose to recognize and appreciate the goodness and faithfulness of God in every aspect of our lives. Gratitude opens our eyes to the wonders of creation, the kindness of others, and the countless gifts bestowed on us by our heavenly Father.

Gratitude is not limited to favorable circumstances; it prompts us to give thanks in all circumstances. Even in the midst of trials and challenges, we can find reasons to be thankful. We can express gratitude for God’s presence, for his comfort, and for lessons learned through difficult experiences.

Our gratitude flows from realizing we are saved from sin and death through the loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We are recipients of unmerited grace, forgiveness, and the promise of eternal life.

Today let’s cultivate a heart of gratitude. May we pause to count our blessings, expressing gratitude to God and to the people around us. In every season let’s remember that gratitude is not just a momentary feeling but a way of life. As we live with hearts full of gratitude, we will experience joy, contentment, and a deep relationship with our loving Father.

Dear Lord, we thank you for countless daily blessings. Help us to see your goodness in all aspects of life and to give thanks in all circumstances. May our lives overflow with gratitude to you. Amen.

A LEADER

Isai 55:4 Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

The Leadership of Christ is unexelled. He is the “Captian of our Salvation” and He has given to us the high and holy privilege of following Him and fighting under His bannner (Peace)! David was a loyal leader and faithful to his followers, but Jesus Christ is “great David’s greater Son” and He leads on to certain victory, through green pastures, beside the still waters, to the summit of the mountain, through the valleys, to the Rock that is higher than we could ever ascend in our own strength. He loves to hold us by the hand and lead us on to joy and peace. Shall we not say “Where He leads, we will follow?”

Blessed Lord, our Leader, have Thine own way with us and lead us today. Amen.

Praying Before

This needs to go down deep within our hearts and souls.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“Praying before you have an emergency is like putting money in the bank. If you have money set aside, then a car problem you were not expecting does not need to upset you. You have provided a way to continue living a simple, joy-filled life before you experienced a need. Start today getting some prayers in reserve. Fill up your prayer tank and you will avoid constantly living in crisis mode.”

Have You Been Hurt

Leaving it right here.

God Bless.

Have You Been Hurt

It is unlikely that any one of us has made it through life without being hurt by someone, but we only continue letting what they have done hurt us if we don’t forgive them.

Ask yourself if you are angry with anyone for anything, and if you are, ask God to help you forgive, forget, and let it go. God is our Vindicator, and if we will allow Him to, He will repay us for every injustice that has been done to us. In my life, I have learned that anger is something we should never carry around with us. God’s Word says that we should not let the sun set on our anger, and if we do, then we give the devil a foothold in our lives (see Ephesians 4:26–27).

Do yourself a favor right now and refuse to remain angry or bitter. God has good things planned for us, and we don’t want to miss them by refusing to let go of things in the past. Start fresh with a peaceful heart and be determined to enjoy each day.

PRAYER:
Father, help me forgive everyone who has hurt me in the past year, and if I have hurt anyone, please help them forgive me.

Who Control

These tongues of ours!

Be encouraged.

Who Control

Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. (NLT) -Proverbs 13:3

Do you measure your words carefully? Do you filter and refine them before throwing them out for all to hear? Much can be communicated between words such as attitudes, values, and perceptions. Even as simple as changing a word can mean all the difference between offending someone or finessing a situation. It's easy to launch words for all to hear, but impossible to take them back. Yes, opening your mouth can ruin everything.

Jesus

Our everyday prayer and heart.

God Bless.

Jesus,

I grieve that the torture and sorrow You endured on the cross were necessary to save humanity.

Because You didn’t want me enslaved to fear, anxiety, or sin—You sacrificed Yourself so that Love could win.

It’s Love that hung upon the cross and gave up everything to rescue me. “It is finished” was a cry of victory, because You defeated everything that held me in captivity.

Because of Your sacrifice, I can experience intimacy with You forever. Thank You! Help me to know You more, and to reach people with the hope found in You.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Constantly Trying

I think this one needs some meditation and then walked out.

God Bless.

“Are you constantly trying to change people?

..work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12, ESV

Prayer: Father God, I ask forgiveness for any time I didn’t accept who you’ve accepted, and didn’t love who you love. Forgive me for any time I’ve tried to do your job of changing people. I receive your love and forgiveness. I recognize I am not you. I humble myself right now and ask that you help me to focus on working on me. I choose to let you handle working on others with your love, your power, and your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The truth is you can’t change:

 • How people feel• How people behave• What people think• What they believe in their hearts• How they live their life

However, you can change with God's help:

 • How you feel• How you behave• What you think• What you believe in your heart• How you live your life

I Have Friends

Encouragement warning below.

God Bless.

Jesus Makes Us Spotless

He is everything!

God Bless.

Amen.

Rest In Him

With everything going on in today's world, we just need to rest in the one who holds our future.

God Bless.

DAILY AFFIRMATION

BY CHRISTIAN CHANNEL
Rest In Him
Today : Rest In Him

TODAY’S VERSE
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”’ Matthew 11:28 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How many times have we qualified for this passage of scripture? Difficulties in life can get us all down. Relationships, finances, worries about the future, guilt over the past. There are so many contributors to the stress we find ourselves under. Jesus knew what it was to be under duress. He felt the fatigue from endless ministry. He grew exasperated over the religious controversy surrounding His mission. And yet, with all the pressures and temptations He was under, the Bible made it clear that He did not sin. Who better to come to for rest when we are weary? Today Jesus offers you relief. He knows you are weary and often carry heavy burdens. He says, “Come and I will give you rest.” Rest in Him today.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, You know how often I am weary and heavy burdened. You promised if I came to You that You would give me the rest I need. I come Lord Jesus, I come to You with all my burdens. Please give me rest to my soul.
AMEN

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I will rest in Christ’s love for me
See yourself exasperated. You are weak and overburdened from the weight on your soul. Feel the desperation. As you sense your own weariness hear Jesus call out, “Come to me and I will give you rest.” You sense an excitement. You feel a hope rise up in your heart and you come to Him. As you approach Jesus, He takes your burdens. He bids you to sit and rest. As you sit you feel your burden lifted and your heart refreshed. You affirm, “I will rest in Christ’s love for me.”

For I Do Not Do The Good

This!

God Bless.

For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. (Romans 7:19)

Christians do not live only in defeat. But neither do we live only in perfect victory over sin. And in those times when we fail to triumph over sin, Romans 7:13–25 shows us the normal way a healthy Christian should respond.

We should say:

I love the law of God. (verse 22)

I hate what I just did. (verse 15)

Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? (verse 24)

Thanks be to God! The victory will come through Jesus Christ my Lord. (verse 25)

In other words, no Christian wants to live in defeat. No Christian settles for living in defeat. But if we are defeated for a time, we shouldn’t lie about it.

No hypocrisy. No posing. No boasted perfectionism. No churchy, pasted smiles or chipper superficiality.

And even more, God save us from blindness to our own failures and the consequent quickness to judge others.

God, help us to feel worse about our own shortfalls than the failure of others.

God, give us the honesty and candor and humility of the apostle Paul in this text! “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 7:24–25).

Power

Isn't this the truth!

God Bless.

Power

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power
20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. (NLT) -Ephesians 1:19-20

The power of God is what keeps Christians going! When we are tired or when we are unsure what to do, it’s time to tap into the power of God. His grace is sufficient to meet all our needs. No matter what you are facing, God has the power to carry you through it.

Resist The Devil

I found this is something I need to meditate on more. And I wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

The more real Satan appears in our day — the more obviously active — the more precious the victory of Christ will become to those who trust him.

The New Testament teaches that when Christ died and rose again, Satan was decisively defeated. A time of limited freedom is granted to him, but his power against God’s people is broken and his destruction is sure.

“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

“[Christ] himself likewise partook of the same things [flesh and blood], that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.” (Hebrews 2:14)

“[God] disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.” (Colossians 2:15)

In other words, the decisive blow was struck at Calvary. And one day, when Satan’s time of limited freedom is over, Revelation 20:10 says, “The devil . . . [will be] thrown into the lake of fire . . . and will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

What does this mean for those of us who follow Jesus Christ?

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies!” (Romans 8:33)

“[Neither] angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38–39)

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)

“They [the saints] have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” (Revelation 12:11)

Therefore, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!” He has been defeated, and we have been given victory. Our task now is to live in that victory and make Satan know his defeat.

The Everlasting God

Thank you, Lord, that your are our everlasting God.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Bible Name of God : THE EVERLASTING GOD

THE EVERLASTING GOD

Isai 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding.

Here Israel is bidden to abide in Jehovah as the “Everlasting One” who will strengthen them for service. There is no change in Him, for He is “the same yesterday today and forever.” Our hearts are heavy sometimes because we do not understand His seeming indifference to our prayers, but we must never have a question mark concerning His doings. We must trust Him. Our faith must be unwavering. We are as dear to Him as the apple {pupil} of His eye. Let us live close to Him. Let us glorify Him and abide in His promises.

Forgive us Lord, Thou who art “The Everlasting God”, if we ever hurt Thy heart by our lack of faith in Thee. Let us trust Thee like little children.

God is so powerful that he commands the lighting. It’s easy to feel that we are the boss of our own lives. We so quickly can move from a posture of humble surrender to our creator to taking matters in our own hands. God reminds Job that we are to regard God with humble hearts. Identifying A Miracle

This...

God Bless.

Identifying a Miracle

The first thing you need to do, if you're going to ask God for a miracle, is to identify the problem. In Mark 6, the problem is obvious. There's a large crowd. It's a remote location. There's nothing to eat. What would you do? The point is this: Every miracle begins with a problem. If you don't have a problem, you don't need a miracle. Do you have a problem? If you do, then have I got good news for you! You're a candidate for a miracle. The starting point is to recognize there is a problem. Take a few minutes and write down one problem in your life where you'd like to see a miracle. Then pray and tell God about this problem.

Full Understanding

Need food for thought? This one is for you.

God Bless.

Full Understanding
Today : Full Understanding

TODAY’S VERSE
“May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.” II Thessalonians 3:5 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Do we understand our daily situations the way God does? Do we see through His eyes? In today’s passage Paul wrote, “May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding of the love of God.” This wasn’t just any understanding it is a “full” understanding. And it was more that understanding. It was an understanding that expresses itself in God’s love and patience. What an amazing treasure this would be. To have our hearts tuned into the beat of the Saviors. To be able to stand with God, fully understanding through Christ, the way of His love and patience. When you truly see the situations you are in through Christ’s eyes, He will lead you to His loving ways. It will always be about His love. This is turn will result in patient endurance. Today, let the Lord lead your heart into a full understanding and expression of God’s love and patience. Try to see the world you live and work in through His eyes. Let God’s vision and love permeate everything you do.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, give me spiritual vision. Help me see what You see today. Lead my heart into a full understanding and expression of Your love and patience so I can apply it to my life and those around me. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God is helping me more fully understand and express His love and patience
Envision yourself struggling with daily situations. If there were no people you would be fine. You can feel the burden of so much drama. Sense the struggle you are having being more loving and patient. Invite Jesus to come and give you a better understanding of His love and patience. As you do, sense that He desires to synch your heart with His. Picture yourself walking throughout the day with more love, more patience. Sense His presence alive in your heart. Affirm that God is helping you more fully understand and express His love and patience.

Jesus Our Substitute

Thank You, Lord for giving your all.

God Bless.

Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

A wealthy twenty-year-old was drag-racing with his friends when he struck and killed a pedestrian. Although the young man received a three-year prison sentence, some believe that the man who appeared in court (and who subsequently served a prison sentence) was a hired surrogate for the driver who committed the crime. This type of thing has been known to occur in some countries where people hire body doubles to avoid paying for their crimes

This may sound scandalous and outrageous, but more than two thousand years ago, Jesus became our substitute and “suffered once for [our] sins, the righteous for the unrighteous” (1 Peter 3:18). As God’s sinless sacrifice, Christ suffered and died once and for all (Hebrews 10:10), for all who believe in Him. He took the penalty for all our sins in His own body on the cross. Unlike a person today who chooses to be a substitute for a criminal to get some cash, Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross provided “hope” for us as He freely, willingly gave His life for us (1 Peter 3:15, 18; John 10:15). He did so to bridge the chasm between us and God.or their crimes.

May we rejoice and find comfort and confidence in this profound truth: Only by the substitutionary death of Jesus can we—sinners in need—have a relationship with and complete spiritual access to our loving God.

Reflect And Pray

How has Christ’s substitutionary death changed your life? What does it mean for you to have access to God and eternal life because of Jesus' death on the cross?

Dear Jesus, thank You for dying in my place so that I might have access to God.

Insight

In 1 Peter 3:13-14, the apostle encourages believers in Jesus to “do good,” even if they suffer for it. Believers in Christ aren’t to fear but are to trust in God and be prepared to witness for Him. Peter reminds us that Jesus suffered unjustly and died for our sins, “the righteous for the unrighteous” (v. 18). His was a once-for-all sacrifice. Whoever believes in Him as their Savior and repents of their sins receives His forgiveness. Our salvation doesn’t guarantee we won’t suffer; today’s passage and other Scripture passages tell us something quite different. Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” (John 15:18); also, “If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also” (v. 20). And Paul tells us, “Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12).

Listening Ear

Some major food for thought.

God Bless.

Listening Ear

But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception. (NLT) -1 John 4:6
Loving others looks like us taking time to offer a listening ear to other Christians in our community. Those who are from God take time to listen to other believers. This feels so simple, so obvious, but it is so profound in our hurried culture! Pausing to hear the concerns of a fellow believer, even if you don’t see an issue eye-to-eye show them that they are loved, seen, heard, and a valuable part of God’s family!

God Knows Everything About You

This...leaving it here.

God Bless.

God Knows Everything About You

God knows everything about your life and that can either be very disturbing or very comforting. It depends on your relationship to Him, whether you're trying to fool Him or not. The fact that God knows everything about my life is a tremendous motivator for me to live a godly life. I realize that nothing in my life is in secret. Nothing I face will hinder God's ability to help me. Nothing that is to come will catch him by surprise. Nothing I fear will be too big for God's strength. And nothing I do in God's name is ever done in vain.

God says, "I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." (Jeremiah 29:11 MSG)

We Are Labourers

This for me was so encouraging.

God Bless.

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

Inspiration

God has prepared work for all of us to do. But even as we do His work, He works alongside us and within us. For as we do His work, He brings forth a harvest as a field would produce. As we faithfully carry out our purposes, He builds us up into a structure that reveals His glory as it stands as a beacon of hope to others.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for calling me to do Your work. Equip me to do all that You have called me to do so that as You work through me, You may use me to produce fruit, to reach others, and to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ. Please work all of these things in me and through me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Quote Of The Day - You Are Not Alone

Leaving it right here.

God Bless

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“You Are Not Alone Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he . . . [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him]. PSALM 91:14

God wants you to know you are not alone. Satan wants you to believe you are all alone, but you are not. He wants you to believe no one understands how you feel, but that is not true. In addition to God being with you, many believers know how you feel and understand what you are experiencing mentally and emotionally. As God’s child, you can claim His wonderful promises. No matter what you are facing or how lonely you may feel, know that you are not alone. As you meditate on God tonight, draw strength and encouragement from knowing He is always faithful and He will never forsake you.”

When Obedience Feels Impossible

Leaving it right here.

God Bless.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. (Hebrews 11:17)

For many of you right now — and for others of you the time is coming — obedience feels like the end of a dream. You feel that if you do what the word of God or the Spirit of God is calling you to do, it will make you miserable and that there is no way that God could turn it all for good.

Perhaps the command or call of God you hear just now is to stay married or stay single, to stay in that job or leave that job, to get baptized, to speak up at work about Christ, to refuse to compromise your standards of honesty, to confront a person in sin, to venture a new vocation, to be a missionary. And as you see it in your limited mind, the prospect of doing this is terrible — it’s like the loss of Isaac, the only son who can be an heir.

You have considered every human angle, and it is impossible that it could turn out well.

Now you know what it was like for Abraham. This story is in the Bible for you.

Do you desire God and his way and his promises more than anything, and do you believe that he can and will honor your faith and obedience by being unashamed to call himself your God, and to use all his wisdom and power and love to turn the path of obedience into the path of life and joy?

That is the crisis you face now: Do you desire him? Will you trust him? The word of God to you is: God is worthy and God is able.

God Is Faithful

Yes, he is!

God Bless.

God Is Faithful
Adapted from the resource Healing the Soul of a Woman - by Joyce Meyer
3 MIN READ

Sometimes the reason we are wounded in our soul is because a person we thought we could trust has betrayed us. That can be a very painful experience. Some people, when they have felt let down, cheated on, or betrayed in some way, begin to wonder if they can ever trust anyone again—even God.

I want you to know today that God can be trusted all the time, in every way. Moses wrote in Numbers 23:19, God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? And Jesus said in John 4:24, God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. Both scriptures, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament, remind us that God is not a human being, and He does not think, speak, or act like humans do. He is higher and better than any person could ever be. He is incapable of treating us badly or doing us wrong. Everything He does is motivated by love, and He is faithful in every way.

Looking back over my life, I can firmly declare that God is faithful. Even at times when I could not see Him or feel Him, He has been there for me. He is there for you, too. As long as we believe He is working, He will reveal to us at just the right time what He has been doing for us. You may feel like you have to wait for Him for a while, but don’t give up. Keep trusting in His faithfulness.

One way I remind myself of God’s faithfulness is by looking at various journals I have kept for more than 40 years. In them, I record things God has asked me to do, or not to do, and things He has done for me. As I read and remember what God has done for me in the past, I am strengthened to believe He will come through for me again in the present moment and in the future.

I encourage you today to think about times God has been there for you, times He has rescued you, times He has provided for you, and times He has shown you His love. If you have not known Him very long, maybe you would like to do what I have done and start keeping a journal. Begin to write in it what you are trusting God for, and when He comes through for you, write that also. Soon, you will have a record of His faithfulness that you can reread any time you need to be reminded that He is faithful.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for Your unwavering faithfulness. Help me trust You, even in moments of doubt and in every situation, good or bad, amen.

Paradise Regained

Food for thought.

God Bless.

Paradise Regained!

"The man . . . must not . . . take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden. - Genesis 3:22-23, NIV

Adam and Eve were driven from their garden home, driven from security and safety and serenity and success and satisfaction, separated from God! The loneliness and desperate agony of loss must have been overwhelming. As they looked back, they could see at the entrance to what had been their home a powerful angel standing guard with a sword swirling like a mad dervish, preventing any thought of return. The finality of their separation from all they had been created for must have been devastating.

Since there was only one entrance into the Garden and it was guarded carefully and constantly, it was not just hard to get back into God’s presence-it was impossible! God Himself prevented it. Neither Adam nor Eve, nor you nor I, nor anyone ever born into the human race could ever get back into God’s Presence. The Garden of Eden, God’s heavenly home, can never be regained through human effort. Paradise was lost!

But, praise God! Heaven’s door is opened and paradise regained at the cross!

A Guide To Help You

Some interesting thoughts below.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

A Guide to Help You Decide Bible says there are several things we need to do to receive guidance from God, but the very first thing is this: I need to admit I need a guide! Sheep, by nature, tend to wander off the path. The Prophet Isaiah says, "All of us like sheep have strayed away! We have left God's paths to follow our own." (Isaiah 53:6 NLT)

Most of the time we don't want to follow God or anybody else. We want to go our own way. We don't want to admit we need direction or that we need a guide. Another thing about sheep is that they have poor vision. They can't see very far ahead. That's why they need a shepherd. God made you so that you would not be able to see into the future no matter how much you try. Why did God do this? He did it so you would depend on Him. Proverbs 14:12 says, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." (NIV)

We've all made decisions that at the time seemed right but later on turned out to be wrong. Some paths lead to dead ends and we end up off track. That's why we need to admit, "God, I need help."

Inspire Me

Inspired me!!!! Now you!!!!.

God Bless.

Today's Quotation:

Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.

A.A. Milne

Today's Meditation:

My logical mind tends to want to put limits on things... like the amount of blood I can pump through my heart within 24 hours. This happens to be somewhere around the amount of 1,900 gallons, or 7,200 liters, per day. That is an amazing number to comprehend! Of course, when we are talking about gratitude, we cannot physically hold it within our hearts in a literal sense. But in a metaphorical sense, we can... and the amount we can hold is infinite in nature.

We have the ability to find gratitude for everything each day of our lives. Still, it can be difficult to be thankful when we find ourselves confronted with pains and sorrows, hardships and adversity. What if I become sick, for example, how am I supposed to be thankful for that? The truth is I can be thankful that my body's immune system fights off the invading germs, infection, or virus. I can be thankful for the time I have to recover, and for the people who have spent so much time and energy involved in research and development of medicines that will help my body fight sickness and disease. Not long ago, we did not have the antibiotics we do now to help fight the infections, virus, and disease that killed many people years ago. Even now, many countries still do not have this medicine readily available.

Gratitude enriches our life, and the life of those we meet. I have learned the value of a heartfelt "thank you" through experience, and it changes my perception of life, keeping me focused on the fact that I have such wonderful blessing in my life. The thanks I receive also helps to remind me that I am not in this life on my own--my life is intertwined with the lives of countless others.

Life becomes rich when we are thankful. We see the many things we have and the multitude of things we receive for what they are--blessings that enrich our lives. Gratitude can be an attitude, a state of mind--it is a simple choice we make each day we open our eyes to this beautiful world.

Today's Challenge: Express your thankfulness to others today with liberal generosity.

Questions to consider:

What are some of the many things you can be thankful for? Do you express gratitude for them each day?

How can having a heart of gratitude positively affect our lives? How can it positively affect the lives of those we interact with each day?

How many people could we thank today? What effect will this have on your life?

For further thought:

True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fears but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not.

Lord, Teach Me To Pray

Wisdom and some food for thought.

Good Bless.

Lord, Teach Me to Pray
Adapted from the resource Hearing from God Each Morning - by Joyce Meyer
2 MIN READ

One of the most important, life-changing prayers a person can ever utter is: "Lord, teach me to pray." It's not simply, "Lord, teach me to pray," but "Lord, teach me to pray." You see, simply knowing about prayer is not enough; we have to know how to pray—to talk and listen to God—as individuals who are in an intimate, dynamic personal relationship with the God to whom we pray. Although there are principles of prayer that apply to everyone, we are individuals and God will lead each of us to pray and communicate with Him in uniquely personal ways.

There was a time when I attended many "prayer seminars," and then attempted to duplicate in my prayer experience what I heard others say about the way they prayed. Eventually, though, I realized God had a personalized prayer plan for me—a way for me to talk to Him and listen to Him most effectively—and I needed to find out what that was. I started by saying, "Lord, teach me to pray." God answered me in a powerful way and brought wonderful improvements to my prayer life. If you want to enjoy a deeper, intimate, powerful relationship with God through prayer, I encourage you to say, "Lord, teach me to pray." He'll do it, and you'll soon find greater freedom and effectiveness in your prayer life. God will lead you in a unique, fresh plan that works wonderfully for you.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, teach me to pray! Guide me to a deeper, more powerful connection to you, in our quiet time, on the go, and in every situation, amen.

Be Alert

Just some food for thought.

God Bless.

Be Alert

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (NLT) -1 Peter 5:8

Devour means “to be swallowed up, overwhelmed, drowned.” This is exactly what sin does to our lives! We become consumed by our guilt, shame, unhealthy patterns, additions, and often it can take over to steal from every part of our lives. We have to be alert to ways that compromise can slowly slip into our lives. Things that may feel harmless to start can grow into a situation that can shatter the very fabric of your life.

Died To Sin

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

Died to Sin

Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? (NLT) -Romans 6:2

Why would you choose to live in sin if you know there is a better way? As a believer in Jesus Christ we are saved from the death of sin. Yet, wanting to blindly stay in sin does not make for an honorable Christ follower. Do you have a gnawing feeling inside telling you to stop your actions or change your attitude? Try listening to that voice inside and make a change.

That Worthy Name

This.

Leaving it right here.

God Bless.

That Worthy Name

“Do they not blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?” James 2:7

James is dealing here with the theme of prayer. He urges the saints not to have the faith with respect to persons, and gives them a needed lesson on partiality in our attitude toward men because of their wealth or position. The emphasis is on “The Worthy Name.” That Name is sacred, “for there is none other Name…whereby we must be saved.” “God has given Him a Name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow” though for some who are compelled to bow, it will be too late. In that Name we approach our Father; in that Name we have our title to the glory land.

Lord Jesus, we come in Thy Worthy Name and ask for forgiveness for our sins of neglect and ask for Thy power for service this day. Amen.

A Covert From The Tempest

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

Bible Name of God : A COVERT FROM THE TEMPEST

A COVERT FROM THE TEMPEST

Isai 32:2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. {great: Heb. heavy}

There never could be but one Man to whom this title could be applied, and that is, the Man Christ Jesus. We must face the storms of life, and we are defensless in ourselves, but we can always snuggle up close to Him who has said, “Come unto Me and I will give you rest.” He will shelter us from the storms of temptation which threaten to overwhelm us, for “In that He Himself hath suffered, being tempted, He is able to succor them that are tempted.” {Heb 2:18} Only trust Him and give Him the joy of ministering to His own trusting ones.

Thou blessed “Covert From The Tempest”, cover us with Thy Wings, and keep us ever close to Thy wounded side. Amen.

Redeemed

Something to think about.

God Bless.

Redeemed

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. (NLT) -1 Peter 1:18

Redeem means that something is turned in in exchange for getting something in return. When we become a follower of Jesus we turn in our old way of life in exchange for his better way. WE no longer are chasing after empty success but can begin to live with Heaven in mind. We become a part of God’s mission to bring heaven down to earth. Are there things you still need to hand over to the Lord in exchange for his better way? Pray and ask him to replace your empty ways with his imperishable promise.

There Is No Malice

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Inspiration
I will say it again, love is the key in all things.

God Bless.

There is no malice in genuine love. Love always seeks what is good and right for others. And as every parent knows, sometimes it takes the wisdom of standing firm to keep loved ones from harming themselves. Love both provides and protects. Especially when others are blind to their own needs and danger, love compels us to be prepared to respond, for the sake of doing what is good and right.

Prayer

Father, it is not always easy to love those close to me. Sometimes they frustrate me, and other times they cause me to worry. Give me wisdom to see past my own feelings and to understand what is right and helpful in every situation. Give me compassion to seek good for others and discernment to know what truly is good. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Love, Love, Love

Love is the key in all things.

"As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love." - (John 15:9)

Devotional

The basic facts about Jesus are written in the book of John with the emphasis here on relationship. Your mother loves and cares for you, you love and care for your daughter, she loves and cares for your grandchild. Love begets love, love reciprocates love. Jesus' love for us naturally causes us to love others, His continuous love for us persuades us to continue the chain of love. The love Jesus received from the Father, He deserved as the Son of God, He in turn loves us with the same kind of love and encourages us to continue with that kind of love. Love, love, love.

Today Is A New Day

Today is a new day and what's better than some food for thought.

God Bless.

Today's Quotation:

Today is a new day. It is a day you have never seen before and a day you will never see again. Stop telling yourself the "same crap, different day" lie! How many days has that lie stolen from you? Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life in the direction you want it to go.

Steve Maraboli

Today's Meditation:

I love the thought of waking up to a brand new day--free of yesterday's failures and full of today's unknown possibilities. And that is exactly what I have been blessed with--a new day. And I have the choice to make this day a productive day, or a special day that I will always remember, or a day in which I take steps in the direction I want my life to go. But I have to recognize the opportunity today truly is... and I have to seize the day!

As Steve wisely says, "Stop telling yourself that today is the same crap, different day." Doing so only limits your possibilities and perpetuates the cycle of unhappiness. It is a sad waste of so much potential we can never get back. Think of the each day of your life like a ticket to travel anywhere in the world. But this ticket expires at midnight. Once it is gone... you have wasted the chance to experience somewhere unknown. You have lost all the potential value that the ticket held.

Today has wonder and magic to share with you. Will you take advantage of all it has to offer?

Today's Challenge: Use all of the day to the best of your abilities.

Questions to consider:

What potentially great things await you today?

What are some of the best things about fresh starts? Do you always take advantage of these things?

How can you better recognize the power and magic available to you in each new day?

For further thought:

Imagine if we treated each new dawn of each new day with the same reverence and joy as we do each new year.

God Gives

This...

God Bless.

Only God Gives Financial Security As you enter your Decade of Destiny, it is important that you trust God with your finances. If you want God to bless you financially, you must remain focused on the truth that he is the source of your finances and he is the one who supplies your needs. What does that mean? It means I'm not looking to an employer for my security. I'm not looking to my savings for security. I'm not looking to anyone or anything other than God to supply my needs. Let me illustrate it this way: When I turn on the water, I don't really think the water comes from the faucet. I know that the water really comes from a reservoir. It just comes to me through the faucet. In the same way, the income that God wants to give you may come through a job or through something else. But the source is God. This means you don't need to worry about which faucet he uses to supply your needs. In a sense he says, "If I turn off one faucet, I can just as easily turn on another. If you lose one job, I can give you another. I am your source, not your job. I am your source, not your bank account.'
