Wealth

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops " - (Proverbs 3:9)

Devotional

Guidance for the wise is aptly written in Proverbs. Everything thing that you have money or possessions was given to you by God. He provided a job, gave you your skills, strength, health, gave you intellect and wisdom. If it weren't for Him you would have nothing. It is a privilege therefore to honor, pay tribute to God with your wealth. Wealth is a large quantity of money or possessions. Here are some ways you can honor God with them: Give money to charities and the poor. Provide board and lodging for the less fortunate Help someone get an education Cook a meal for a neighbor Honor the Lord with your wealth.

Quote Of The Day - Prayer Is Not Asking

I love this.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day – Mother Teresa

Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.

Come And Take Your Place

Leaving some food for thought right here.

He is worth it.

God Bless.

"People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last." - (Luke 13:29-30)

Devotional

A portion of the parables of the Kingdom that Jesus told. It matters not when you came to know Christ, or which nation you came from, what is important is that you came and took your place. Accepting Jesus is the best decision one can make, it is life transforming. This I am sure you can attest to. The benefits are enormous the joy and peace you now have are worth every ounce of taking the stand for Christ and the best is yet to come!

Amen!

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

Dwell Apart

Something to think about.

God Bless.

God's Calling devotional

Dwell Apart

Rest more with Me. If I, the Son of God, needed those times of quiet communion with My Father, away, alone, from noise, from activity — then surely you need them too.

Refilling with the Spirit is a need. That dwelling apart, that shutting yourself away in the very secret place of your being — away alone with Me.

From these times you come forth in Power to bless and heal. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18

I No Longer Call

We are free indeed. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. (NLT) -John 15:15

This passage foreshadows Jesus victory over death! When we have Jesus we no longer have to be afraid of the ending of our lives. We know that we will live again with Him in Heaven. Give thanks to Jesus for dying for us so that we can be free from the terror of death.

Real Love

Old World’s Dying

Truth.

God Bless.

This old world’s dying for the want of love. There are more people die for the want of a bit of it than with overmuch of it. Don’t stifle it–let it out.

Simplicity

Simplicity is the keynote of My Kingdom. Choose simple things always.

Love and reverence the humble and the simple.

Have only simple things here. Your standard must never be the world’s standard.“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33

Inspire Me - It is Often Said

Food for thought.

God Bless.

Today's Quotation:

It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living.

Terry Pratchett

Today's Meditation:

In so few words, Terry so eloquently offers us a powerful perspective of living our lives to the fullest. Most of us are aware of the saying that "when we die... our life passes before our eyes." Well if this saying were in fact true, I would want to be able to cherish every moment of this experience. Yet I do not have to wait until then to experience it... my life is happening now, right before my eyes. All I have to do is learn to live with an appreciative awareness of life.

Although I do not generally spend too much time considering things related to my death, there is no gaurantee of security or consistency in life--one day I am going to die. And if I seek only to maintain the status quo in my life, I will surely fail to experience the deeper aspects of it. Likewise, if I put off until tomorrow, the life I can experience today, I will find that my life truly is passing before my eyes.

Living life now is truly the only perspective of life that really matters, for it is the only perspective of life over which we have any control. So what are you waiting for? Experience your life now so that on the day you die, nothing will be being experienced for the first time.

Today's Challenge: Live today with open eyes.

Questions to consider:

On the day you die, do you want to be able to say that you have already experienced the life passing before you?

How much of the deeper aspects of your life do you truly experience?

What is really important to you? Does your life reflect that feeling of importance?

For further thought:

It matters not how a man dies, but how he lives.

Samuel Johnson

Elohim

He so is...

God Bless

Name of God Devotional

Christian Channel

Bible Name of God : Elohim – The Creator

Elohim – The Creator

Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” It literally says, “In the beginning Elohim, Elohim created the heaven and the earth.” That’s the Hebrew word from two root words: El, which means strength and unlimited power. And the last part of is allah, which means to keep a promise. Elohim is also a plural noun. I believe that right here on the threshold of the Bible we see an indication of the nature of God, as shown in the Holy Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three were present in creation (see John 1:3). Aren’t you glad we find the Savior in chapter 1, verse 1? Aren’t you glad we find the Holy Spirit in chapter 1, verse 1? Aren’t you glad we find the Father in chapter 1, verse 1 of the Word of God?

Our hevenly Falther, Elohim-The Creator, we come to Thee to acknowledge Thy authority and to crave Thy blessing. Amen.

Other Scripture references:

Genesis 1:1-3, 27-28; 3:3; Isaiah 40:28, 54:5; Psalm 19:1-6, 95:6; Nehemiah 9:17; Hebrews 1:8, 11:3

Our hevenly Falther, Elohim-The Creator, we come to Thee to acknowledge Thy authority and to crave Thy blessing. Amen.

David’s Kindness

Just something to think about...

God Bless.

David’s kindness toward Jonathan’s family shows his genuine, selfless friendship. Jonathan’s son, Mephibosheth, couldn’t offer David anything in return, but David’s love for Jonathan made him want to show kindness to anyone connected to him.

Nothing Is Small

Nothing is small to God. In His sight a sparrow is of greater value than a palace, one kindly word of more importance than a statesman’s speech.

It is the Life in all that has value, and the quality of the life that determines the value. I came to give Eternal Life.

Let Me Hear

Leaving it right here.

God Bless.

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. (NLT) -Psalm 143:8

Sometimes circumstances happen in life that are outside of our control. We can't always be in control of test results, promotions, or computer crashes. It is in these times that we should lean on God to show us the way. This is the time to earnestly seek His will and being open to fulfilling it. Trust in Him.

People May

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart. (NLT) -Proverbs 21:2

Is it possible you could be wrong? Do you take this attitude when you enter situations of conflict? Your insistence on righteousness does not make disputes any easier. It even makes them worse. When you encounter difficult situations, take a look at your actions (not your intentions) with an open mind that perhaps you could be in the wrong.

The Tomb Was Empty

Thank you, Lord!

Encouragement.

God Bless.

The Tomb Was Empty!

Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. - Romans 14:9, NKJV

Early Sunday morning, in the inky blackness before dawn, soldiers stood guard over Christ’s tomb. Knowing that to go to sleep on duty was an offense punishable by death, the highly trained unit remained alert. Some may have been rolling dice or stoking the fire to keep warm, but there was no question that all were awake and on duty. Their lives depended on it.

Suddenly, “there was a violent earthquake.” If, by chance, the soldiers had been distracted in their night watch, God now had their undivided attention! Almost simultaneously, the predawn darkness was split by a light so brilliant it looked like a laser of lightning! The “lightning” took the shape of an angel who seemed to reach from heaven to earth. Against the inky blackness of the night the terrifyingly awesome being fearlessly descended, walked over to the stone that blocked the tomb’s entrance, flicked it away as though it were dust, and then sat on it! And the gaping hole where the stone had been, revealed there was nothing inside the tomb! The tomb was empty!

The Simplicity

Simply wisdom in the word's below.

God Bless.

The Simplicity of Trusting God
Joyce Meyer –
1 min read

A pen sitting on an open Bible ready for reading a daily devotional with candles in the background.
Adapted from Wake Up to the Word

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

 John 3:16 (AMPC)
The pathway to God is not perfect performance. Some people in a crowd asked Jesus what they needed to do to please God, and the answer Jesus gave was, “Believe in the One Whom He has sent” (see John 6:28–29).

That is so simple we can miss it. We need to believe in Jesus? That’s it? Surely God wants more from us than that!

More than anything, God wants us to trust Him and to believe His Word. You can get off the treadmill of trying to be perfect, because you cannot buy or earn God’s love or His favor, not even with a perfect performance. It simply is not for sale.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, I choose to believe Your promises, trusting in Your timing. Help me to walk in faith, even when I don’t see anything changing. I know freedom is coming, amen.

He's Alive

Yes He is!

God Bless.

He’s Alive!

That you may know . . . the exceeding greatness of His power . . . which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. - Ephesians 1:18-20, NKJV

God the Father split history in two when He flexed the divine, eternal muscle of His will and exerted His power on His Son’s behalf! How He must have eagerly anticipated and rejoiced in the vindication and resurrection of His Son! His power was so mightily tremendous that Jesus was:

Raised up from the dead!

Raised up without our sin!

Raised up to life!

Raised up through the walls of the tomb!

Raised up past the guards!

Raised up through all His invisible enemies!

Raised up to a position of authority over the entire universe! Raised up to be seated at the right hand of God!

Jesus was raised up! He’s alive!

From Just Give Me Jesus
