Three Things Take Place When We Allow God To Step In Our Circumstances

Over the past few months, a lot of changes and unforeseen things have began to pile up on our household making it very difficult to feel as if we had lost control of our lives. Since then, I have seen this these things were not for me to ask whether or not if God was still with me but to bring me into a deeper level of trust and I can tell you, I'm still a work in progress.

So when I came across this devotional in my saved folder, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the words in this devotional could not be more truer. My hope and prayer is we are on the backside of the storm and are cruising towards the victory line.

My hope and prayer is that whoever my find this will get the same confirmation out of this devotional as I did for whatever testing and trials you may find yourself in.

God Bless.

John 9:1-2, NIV “As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

John 9:32, NIV “Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

John 9:35-38, NIV “Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” Jesus said to him, You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshipped him.

In this story, Jesus performed a miracle by giving the blind man sight. The disciples thought that the blind man did something wrong because of his condition. The Pharisees could not accept the change that took place in the blind man’s life (see John 9:8-9, John 9:15-16). When we go through trials, we tend to think that it’s a result of sin. However, it is in our trials that we turn to God. He allows us to go through some things so He can increase our faith, deepen our trust and bring us closer to Him. A transformation took place in the man’s life once the power of God was manifested. God changed this man after the miracle.

Three things take place when we allow God to step in our circumstances.
1. God will manifest His power
2. The manifestation will change our way of thinking
3. The manifestation will increase our faith

So when there’s a circumstance that seems to overwhelm you, say “Lord, I believe. I believe that this circumstance opens the door for You to step in. I believe that the manifestation will transform way of thinking. I believe that it will increase my faith. Like the man in John 9, change my mindset and increase my faith in you. Lord, I believe in you and your ability to do all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
