Declaring God's Greatness At Every Age

This little devotional will be of help for all ages...old and young.
May you find wisdom and confidence to live your best life no matter how old you are.
God Bless.
DECLARING GOD’S GREATNESS AT EVERY AGE
There are many reasons people want to live long lives. Some want to enjoy the fruits of careers — savoring the rewards of retirement. Others want to witness the successes of children and grandchildren. This psalmist had a God-centered reason for wanting to continue to live, and thrive, in his old age. He desired more time to declare the greatness of God’s power — to tell the stories of God’s faithfulness to the younger people around him. Jesus encouraged Peter that, though he had sinned, his life would testify to the greatness of God — and he would continue to be used by God in powerful ways (Jn 21:18 – 19). Even at the end of his life, Peter would faithfully serve Christ. His very death would glorify God. Christians do not reach an age of discharge from the mission — a threshold of years beyond which they can rest from kingdom labors. Believers have the privilege and responsibility to tell the succeeding generations about the goodness and greatness of God. Stories of God’s faithfulness inspire the young to trust God — to live boldly, refusing to waste any days of life.
Jesus, I want to testify to your greatness every day of my life. Give me the energy to labor for you, until the day you bring me home. Amen.

Keep In Touch With God

Amen! But do we do it? I'M guilty of brushing Him aside and I have seen no benefits from when I do.

We must keep near to Him if we are going to survive in this crazy world.

God Bless.

Keep in Touch with God

by Joyce Meyer

Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes] . . . But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
—Psalm 1:1–2

Keep in touch with God today; stay tuned to His voice. You may have a plan for the day, but God may lead you in a totally different direction if you are sensitive to the Holy Ghost. Be brave enough to flow with what you feel in your heart God wants you to do.
Today is going to be a good day. Listen for the voice of God to lead you. Be determined to walk in the Spirit and stay in the flow of God’s leading today.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

Never to early to start teaching children about the commandments. However, don't forget to include to tell them how Jesus fulfilled and kept them.
And if you don't know, well, no problem, He has an answer for that...His Teacher, the Holy Spirit who is always eager to show you the way.
God Bless.
Deuteronomy 6:6-9
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. We have a responsibility to pass along the truth of who God is to our children. This is a "pull out all the stops" message. Do whatever it takes so that your children know that the Lord is God and there is no other! Constantly tell stories and relate your children's experiences with stories that tell of God's greatness. Let them know that they are part of a grand design, and that they are not alone! Speak to them with love and mercy, showing a collision of discipline, correction, and wisdom. Live your live in such a way that the gospel is on display, that they would meet Jesus!

He Always Comes Through, If You Wait On Him

If you are down and out and barely hanging on, well this little devotional is for you and anyone in between.
It doesn't hurt or make you weak if you need a good reminder that God will remember you always.
God Bless.
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19
The Lord promises His people that He will always make a way. Just because you don’t see how it will be done, doesn’t mean He can’t and won’t do it for you. You may be in the last hour, running out of time, wondering how and when God is going to come through like He said He would. Sometimes, it can be tough waiting on the Lord. But He always comes through. He always comes through, if you wait on Him. His Word tells us, “The trying of our faith produces patience” (see James 1:3). Maybe your faith in God is being tried and you are having to trust and depend on Him like never before, but God says, He will make a way out of no way for you. Stay vigilant. Stay persistent. Stay in faith. Look for His way out like you’re looking for lost keys. Saying to yourself, I know it has to be here somewhere! And, it is. Don’t lean to your own understanding, wait on God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (see Hebrews 13:8)! He always comes through, if you wait on Him.
Prayer: Father, you are good and faithful. Even when I am in troubling situations, you know how to make a way out of no way for me. Thank you! Help me learn to trust you more. Help my faith in you to deepen. Even when situations don’t feel good or look good, you are good and you are faithful. Show me your way out and help me not to lean on my own understanding. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Trust Him

My favorite topic that I am continue to work on. However, I must say, my trust issues has gotten better thanks to the help of little devotional's like this one.
May you find inspiration from the following words.
God Bless.
Trust Him!
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. - Psalm 37:5, NKJV
At times our understanding is limited. We simply have to trust our heavenly Father to know best. We have to trust God’s silences and respect God’s mysteries and wait for God’s answers. When we pray for the healing of a loved one, and he dies . . . When we pray for release from a financial burden, and we go bankrupt . . . When we pray for reconciliation, and we are handed divorce papers . . . When we pray for our career, and we get laid off . . . When we pray for protection, and we are robbed . . . We just have to trust Him. Trust Him. Trust Him!

Quote Of The Day - When We Maintain

Here is a tell it like it is statement. The question is, how are you going to respond to the truth bomb?
God Bless.
Quote of the Day
-Joyce Meyer “When we maintain an attitude of thanksgiving, we close the door to grumbling and complaining—which seem to be ever-present temptations in our lives.”

God Understands When You Feel Overwhelmed

Everyone struggles. It is what we do with our circumstances that set's us apart.
Who are we going to believe in our times of trouble? The living God or some has been devil who is constantly whispering in our ear that God is done with us.
I choose to believe the word of God and it's my hope you will too.
God Bless.
God Understands When you feel overwhelmed or are struggling about something and you just need to vent or get help, you are most likely to call someone who’s “been there”, right? That person will have the empathy and compassion you need for lifting your heart out of a pit of discouragement. Problem is, your friend might not be available – she may be too busy to take a call, which is even more frustrating. But Jesus is already on the line waiting for you. And He’s been through battles and temptations that brought on the very feelings you are struggling with today. He’s “been there” and He “is there”. So next time, call upon Him!
Prayer of the day: Jesus, I am so thankful that I can come to You with my struggles and know that You completely understand and You care. Thank You for being my Savior and my Friend.

Decision Making

Love it or hate it, we all have to do it.

But before you make another, read this little devotional with an open mind. For every one we make, there will be or we are dealing with the repercussion of the ones we already have made or will ever make.

So choose wisely.

God Bless.

Decision Making

David enquired of the Lord yet again
- 1 Samuel 23:4

Nine times in the Scripture we find this statement -- "David enquired" of the Lord, or of God. Every one of these instances was after David had become a great leader. And yet David shows us that great leadership results from being a great follower of God. Even in the most practical or mundane of matters.

Many times, when we are faced with challenging situations, our first inclination, especially if there are others waiting upon or relying on our answer, is to make a hasty decision based on the best understanding we have at the moment. But we should develop the habit, like David, of asking the Lord for direction first.

Perhaps you have already sought the Lord's guidance, though, in a particular situation -- a relationship, or a promotion, or a relocation, or another life-changing decision. Or maybe you received clear direction for your last decision, but a fresh challenge has presented itself.

Then inquire of the Lord yet again. There is no such thing as being too dependent upon God. He never wearies of our questions, and we never out-grow our inadequacy without him.

The great encouragement is that when David went to the Lord yet again, then "the Lord answered him" (23:4). He always answers those who inquire of him, and so he will answer you when you call upon him and inquire of him, dear believer.

How To Plead For Unbelievers

Know any unbelievers, then this is for you.
Below is a guide to help us pray for all those to come on home.
God Bless.

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. (Romans 10:1)
Paul prays that God would convert Israel. He prays for her salvation! He does not pray for ineffectual influences, but for effectual influences. And that is how we should pray too. We should take the new covenant promises of God and plead with God to bring them to pass in our children and our neighbors and on all the mission fields of the world. God, take out of their flesh the heart of stone and give them a new heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 11:19)
Circumcise their heart so that they love you! (Deuteronomy 30:6) Father, put your Spirit within them and cause them to walk in your statutes. (Ezekiel 36:27) Grant them repentance and a knowledge of the truth that they may escape from the snare of the devil. (2 Timothy 2:25–26) Open their hearts so that they believe the gospel! (Acts 16:14) When we believe in the sovereignty of God — in the right and power of God to elect and then bring hardened sinners to faith and salvation — then we will be able to pray with no inconsistency, and with the confidence of great biblical promises for the conversion of the lost. Thus, God has pleasure in this kind of praying because it ascribes to him the right and honor to be the free and sovereign God that he is in election and salvation.

Above Every Name

Insightful. Period. The end. For He alone is above every name.

God Bless.

Above Every Name

by Joyce Meyer

That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
—Philippians 2:10

Speaking the name of Jesus and having a revelation about the power in that name are two different things. Releasing the power in the name of Jesus requires a supernatural revelation.
When you speak the name of Jesus in faith, His name is so powerful that every knee must bow in three realms—in heaven, on earth, and under the earth!
Think about this tonight: Jesus came from the highest heaven, He has been to the earth, and has descended to Hades, or under the earth, and now is seated at the right hand of the Father once again in the highest heaven. He has filled everything and everywhere with Himself. He is seated above everything else and has a name that is above every other name. His name is the highest name, the most powerful name—and His name has been given to us!

Give Ear To Faith And Not Fear

Fear can kill us and it is destructive behavior is destroying a lot of lives.
Don't let it destroy you become the overcomer God has called you to be.
God Bless.

“…The righteous shall live by faith” Romans 1:17, ESV.
Fear will tell you that your situation will never change. Faith will tell you nothing is impossible with God (see Matthew 19:26). Fear will tell you nobody loves you. Faith will tell you God loves you with an everlasting love, and that’s all that matters (see Jeremiah 31:3). Fear will tell you that you’re dying. Faith will tell you to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (see 2 Corinthians 5:8). Fear will tell you everyone is against you. Faith will tell you if God is for you, who can be against you? (see Romans 8:31) Fear will tell you that you will never amount to anything. Faith will tell you that you are saved and called by God with a holy calling, and you have a purpose (see 2 Timothy 1:9). Fear will tell you that your needs will never be met. Faith will tell you that God will supply all of your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (see Philippians 4:19). Fear will tell you that you just can’t do it. Faith will tell you that you can do all things through Christ, which strengthens you (see Philippians 4:13). Have you noticed by now how fear will always tell you what the enemy wants you to think, while faith declares the word of God? Faith declares His truth and fear whispers the enemy’s lies. Rather than choosing to give ear to fear, listen to what the Spirit of faith is saying to your heart.
Prayer: Father God, I thank You for the truth of Your word. Thank You for helping to live by faith. It’s the only way to live. Help me to operate in faith, to respond by faith, and to be moved by Your truth only. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Work Of The Enemy

It is good to know your enemy and how he works. This little devotional is insightful in doing just that.
Being aware of the plans against you can only help in defeating the one who has it out for you. So get prepared.
God Bless.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4, Amplified.
From the time you were a little girl until now, the devil has been diligently working at building strongholds in your mind. Every time you experienced hurt or pain, he sought to build a new structure. Whenever someone betrayed you, he told you that you would never trust anyone ever again. Whenever someone abused you, he told you that you were not worthy of love. With every lie you received as true, he established a new stronghold in your mind. If given enough time, Satan will create an entire network of strongholds that completely distorts your view of everything around you. A stronghold affects how you view God, how you view yourself, and how you view others. The only way to tear down and completely demolish strongholds is with the truth of God’s Word. It’s His truth that sets us free, which is why it’s important that we establish a relationship with God’s Word, by spending time reading our Bible and looking for ways to apply its’ principles to our lives. The more truth you receive in your heart, the more it will affect how you view things and how you respond to the challenges you face.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for speaking to directly to my heart. I receive your Word in my heart. I receive your truth and I thank you that the power of your Word destroys every stronghold in my mind that’s been distorting my view of you, myself and others. Bless me LORD with right views and a right perspective so I can be free to live the life I was born to live and fulfill your purpose and plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your Not To Hard For Him

Nothing’s too hard for God, including you so be encouraged and live your best life living for the one who gave it all.
God Bless.
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27, ESV
Nothing’s too hard for God, including you. You are not too hard for Him. You are not too broken for Him to restore. You are not too diseased for Him to heal. You are not too lost for Him to find. You are not too far gone for Him to bring you in and love. The Lord will finish the work He started in you. He hasn’t tossed you to the side out of frustration. He will perfect that which concerns you. He’s not mad with you. Nor is He frustrated that there are still some things you can’t seem to understand. He is very patient as He works in your mind, heart, and soul. He is the potter, and you are His precious clay; His masterpiece.
Prayer: Father God, thank you that I’m not too hard for you. I trust you to finish the work you started in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Read Philippians 1:6; Psalm 138:8; Psalm 147:3; Matthew 19:26)

Wardrobe And Heart

I know this little devotional is directed to summer and for women but I can't help but think this little devotional can be directed toward every day of the year.
Remember, it's okay to look nice and feel good about yourself but the extreme is where we all get into trouble and the world is to full of that right now.
So let us think before we dress and....
God Bless.

"You have heard that it was said, Do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:27-28)
Devotional
As summer approaches, our clothing will become an issue of importance. Adultery does not occur when the physical relationship begins it begins much sooner. It begins the moment an individual desires another individual that is not his wife or her husband. Women who want to be desired are not shy about using clothing (or the lack thereof) and fawning mannerisms to get the affections or compliments of men. This summer apply this verse by setting scriptural boundaries with your summer apparel that will keep you and others pure in heart and body for God.

How Well Do You Know God

I couldn't agree more with this little devotional and I'm sad to say, I am a little bit guilty of doing what it say's.
It's heart issue and I need to turn my eyes back to the One who is greater than anything I am listening to and focusing on right now.
Change my heart, O God...
“Behold, God is great, and we know him not; the number of his years is unsearchable.” (Job 36:26)
It is impossible to know God too well. He is the most important person who exists. And this is because he made all others, and any importance they have is owing to him. Any strength or intelligence or skill or beauty they have comes from him. On every scale of excellence, he is infinitely greater than the best person you ever knew or ever heard of. Being infinite, he is inexhaustibly interesting. It is impossible, therefore, that God be boring. His continual demonstration of the most intelligent and interesting actions is volcanic. As the source of every good pleasure, he himself pleases fully and finally. If that’s not how we experience him, we are either dead or sleeping. It is therefore astonishing how little effort is put into knowing God. It’s as though the President of the United States came to live with you for a month, and you only said hello in passing every day or so. Or as if you were flown at the speed of light for a couple of hours around the sun and the solar system, and instead of looking out the window, you played a computer game.
Or as if you were invited to watch the best actors, singers, athletes, inventors, and scholars perform their best, but you declined to go so you could watch the TV season’s final soap. Let us pray that our infinitely great God would open our eyes and hearts to see him and seek to know him more.

I Will Walk In Freedom

Let freedom ring not only in your life but throughout this land and across the world.
Let God arise and His enemies be scattered. Freedom is in Christ is just what the doctor ordered.
God Bless.
I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments. (NLT) -Psalm 119:45
When you are driving and find you are driving under the speed limit there is a sense of freedom. There are no worries of wondering what the speed limit is, if you will get caught, or feeling guilty for speeding. Devoting yourself to knowing and honoring God's ways brings freedom in the same way. You can walk confidently with God.

For We Know

Love, love, love this little devotional. Short but powerful.
My hope is you get as much out of it as I did.
God Bless.
1 Thessalonians 1:4-7 For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you,  because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.  And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
Today we learn that the gospel comes in at least 3 forms: in words; in power, and in the Holy Spirit with deep conviction. At times the gospel comes as a combination of the 3, working together to reveal Christ Jesus, and assault the heart of a sinner with God's amazing grace. We experience an amazing change because of the power of the gospel. Conviction indicates the birth of change, and conviction revealed by the Holy Spirit of God even more so, and toward His purposes for us. Holy Spirit, lead us into all good things together in Christ Jesus.

The Gospel Message

This little devotional is clear and to the point.

Not to mention, much needed!

God Bless.

The Gospel Message

God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life
- 1 John 5:11-12

There are some things in life you can do without. You can survive without smartphones, shopping malls, or football games. You can even get by without life insurance, 401(k) plans, or home equity. But you cannot do without the Son of God.

God has given us eternal life. What a mercy! What a revelation! Everything in our experience screams to us that our life is temporary. Pets rotate through our life; family members die; we get older. Nothing lives forever. But God has given us eternal life!

How can mere mortals live forever? Certainly not in their own strength or by their own ingenuity. No, God has given us eternal life, but this life is in his Son Jesus Christ. Only the source of life Himself can carry us through death and bring us into an everlasting and delightful life on the other side.

The one who has the Son of God has life... right now. Eternal life begins the moment Jesus Christ takes up residence in your heart. If you have Jesus Christ then you are already enjoying the eternal life, the abundant life right now. But the one who does not have the Son has no such promise, no such current and joyful reality.

The good news of the gospel, then, is only to those who have Jesus Christ. Do you have the Son? Do you have eternal life?

Sacrificing Entitlement

Amen! We need to learn what crosses to pick up and which ones to lay down. When we do that, we just might start a revolution that would and could stretch across from sea to shining see and everything in between.
God Bless.

"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 10:37-39)
Devotional
I deserve it! Have you ever said those words? We value ourselves based on the sacrifices we have made or the injustices we have experienced. Sacrifice seems to invoke a sense of entitlement and establishes idols in our lives that we run to instead of Christ for comfort. Let the "cross" you bear bring you closer to Christ who carried the Cross for you.
Psalm 31 Devotional

Goodness And Mercy

Love this illustration of the writer's depiction of goodness and mercy.
We sure do need to remember when times get tough, they follow us wherever we go and are forever our friend.
God Bless.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalms 23:6
Two people knocked on the door of her home. Staring at them through the crack of the door, she asked, “Yes, can I help you?” They said, “We have been assigned to follow you everyday for the rest of your life.” She laughed, “You want to do what!?” They said, “Our names are Goodness and Mercy and your Father in heaven has sent us here to follow you wherever you go.” She was cautious. Life had taught her some hard lessons about trusting others. As she stood there, she could see Corruption and Dismay lurking behind the trees, with a sneaky grin on their faces. She was all too familiar with them and had just kicked them out of her house. However, they knew if she didn’t receive God’s Goodness and Mercy into her home, they would find their way eventually back into her life. As she stood there, she whispered to herself, “If anyone is going to follow me, it won’t be Corruption and Dismay. It won’t be what I’ve always experienced in my past.” She then opened the door—as wide as she could open, and Goodness and Mercy came into her home and closed the door behind them. Whenever she stumbled, Mercy was there to pick her up and dress her wounds. Mercy helped remind her of the Father’s love regardless of her many mistakes. Whenever she faced a trial, Goodness was there to help her gather all the treasures that came from it. Goodness was always excited about the Father’s expected end for her. Through the years, their friendship grew. They followed her through every moment in her life, every joyous victory and every heart-wrenching tragedy. They were there and never left her side. And when her time had come to take her last breath, Goodness and Mercy escorted her to her heavenly home where she would live for eternity with these two heavenly servants and her heavenly Father.
Prayer: Father God, yes, I receive your Goodness and Mercy in the home of my heart. I open the door as wide as I can to you. Heal every wound and cause me to gather all the treasure after every trial I face. Until I take my last breath, be with me and be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Stay Alert

Distractions are truly the gift from satan himself and we just keep unwrapping them.
It is time we started to recognize distractions for what they are and send them back the pits of hell where they belong and begin to live again.
God Bless.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (NLT) -1 Peter 5:8
One of the biggest ways the enemy of our souls can push is off track in this life is by distracting us! When our focus is buried in the details of our days, it’s easy to forget about eternity with Jesus. Stay alert to what God is doing in your life. Don’t let the enemy steal your heavenly reward through distraction.
