God Shows His Love

A little something to chew on..

God Bless.

God shows [demonstrates] his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

Notice that “demonstrates” is present tense and “died” is past tense. “God demonstrates his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” The present tense implies that this demonstrating is an ongoing act that keeps happening today. And will keep happening tomorrow. The past tense “died” implies that the death of Christ happened once for all and will not be repeated. “Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18). Why did Paul use the present tense (“God demonstrates”)? I would have expected Paul to say, “God demonstrated (past tense) his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Was not the death of Christ, when it happened, the demonstration of God’s love? And did not that demonstration happen in the past? I think the clue is given a few verses earlier. Paul has just said that “suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame” (Romans 5:3–5). In other words, the goal of everything God takes us through is hope. He wants us to feel unwaveringly hopeful through all tribulations. But how can we? Paul answers in the next line: “Because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Romans 5:5).

God’s love has been poured into our hearts. The tense of this verb means that God’s love was poured out in our hearts in the past (at our conversion) and is still present and active. God did demonstrate his love for us in giving his own Son to die once for all in the past for our sins (Romans 5:8). But he also knows that this past love must be experienced as a present reality (today and tomorrow) if we are to have patience and character and hope. Therefore, he not only demonstrated it on Calvary; he goes on demonstrating it now by the Spirit in our hearts. He does this by opening the eyes of our hearts to taste and see the glory of the cross and the guarantee it gives that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38–39).

Everybody, Always

It’s easy to love kind, lovely, humble people. I mean, who wouldn’t? These are the ones I’ve spent much of my life loving. Loving the people who are easy to love made me feel like I was really good at it.

With all the "you have ro love everyone" mindset going on and you are having trouble with it because of the things done in the past, well maybe this little devotional will help like it helped me.

I just wanted to share the wealth to anyone who may need it.

God Bless.

Because the people I loved were kind and wonderful, they made sure they told me what a great job I was doing loving them.  What I’ve come to realize, though, is that I was avoiding the people I didn’t understand and the ones who lived differently than me. Here’s why: some of them creep me out. Sure, I was polite to them, but sadly, I’ve spent my whole life avoiding the people Jesus spent His whole life engaging. God’s idea isn’t that we would just give and receive love but that we could actually become love. The way we do this can be summarized like this:

His plan is that we would love everybody, always.  People who are becoming love see the beauty in others even when their off-putting behavior makes for a pretty weird mask. What Jesus told His friends can be summed up in this way: He wants us to love everybody, always—and start with the people who creep us out. The truth is, we probably creep them out as much as they do us. Are there people you should give a wide berth to? You bet.

There are people in my life and yours who are unsafe, toxic, and delight in sowing discord wherever they go. God gave us discernment, and we should use it as we live our lives. He’s also given us love and understanding and kindness and the ability to forgive, which have power we often leave untapped. There’s a difference between good judgment and living in judgment. The trick is to use lots of the first and to go a little lighter on the second if we want to live the big life Jesus talked about.

More Than Mental Aasent

As the day's grow darker, this little devotional is something to ponder.

My prayer is we become doers of the word and our light shines forth in this chaotic world.

God Bless.

More Than Mental Assent

by Gloria Copeland

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22

One of the greatest enemies of real faith is what’s called “mental assent.” People who operate in mental assent read the Word and think they believe it. But when pressure comes, they don’t act on it. Mental assenters say, “I believe the Bible from cover to cover. I believe I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus because the Bible says so.” But when sickness actually comes and attacks their bodies, they stop saying, “By His stripes I’m healed” and start saying, “I’m sick.” Real faith believes what the Word says even though eyes and feelings say something different. Faith doesn’t care what the symptoms are. It doesn’t care how the circumstances look. It’s not moved by what the banker says, or the doctor, or the lawyer, or the bill collector. Faith in God’s Word will change the symptoms. It will change the bank. It will bring the money to get the bills paid.

Faith will turn every defeat into victory. It is God’s success formula! But you have to give that faith an opportunity to work. You have to keep God’s Word in your mouth and meditate on it in your heart “that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it, for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8, The Amplified Bible). So determine in your heart today to speak God’s Word out your mouth and to speak nothing contrary to that Word. Don’t be a mental assenter. Be a mighty person of faith. Be a doer of the Word! Speak the Word “I am a doer of the Word of God, and not just a hearer only.” —James 1:22

God Made You

For anyone, including myself, remember God created us just the way He wanted to and we are perfect in His sight and when we complain or embrace who we were created to be, we miswell slap God in the face.

We are a masterpiece. We need to act like it.

God Bless.

God Made You

By ShareWord

God made you. Don’t yawn or roll your eyes—it’s a big deal! And it’s important for you to remember that all day today. Not for your own sake so you can feel beautiful or handsome all day. No, it’s so you can help others around you understand the same truth. When people truly believe God’s role in creating them, a spark of hope is ignited in their hearts. Think about it. We look at a stunning flower and marvel at God’s handiwork.

We go to the zoo and watch the giraffes and tigers and gorillas and find ourselves saying, “Wow!” a lot. Even spiders—super creepy and enough to make your skin crawl sometimes. But have you ever watched them construct a web? Whether or not you can stomach that idea, you have to admit what they’re able to do is incredible. God made you, too. He made you in His image. And He made you wonderfully complex. He wired you with abilities and traits that position you for something unique in this world. So why is it so easy to marvel at the way a beaver builds a dam, but struggle at believing you’re something special?

Remember: you have value because of who made you. The first question asked when a painting is discovered in a dusty attic is, “Who’s the artist?” Then we immediately search for a signature. No, we don’t have “God” tattooed on us when we’re born, but we may as well have. And here’s the proof of your value: the great rescue plan we talked about yesterday. God put that plan in motion so His creation could spend an eternal lifetime with Him. So, knowing you’re here on earth because God wants you to be—that He made you at the time and in the place He did—should give you a new sense of hope. Of value. Of significance. Of purpose.

You’re a masterpiece that God created. This should impact how you live, how you face the day, how you make decisions. Now look around you. Your family. Or the ones you work with everyday. The strangers you meet in the routines of your life. The people you randomly bump into. God made them, too. Do they know it? You understand how it changes everything—but do they? You were rescued because God made you and He wanted to fix your broken relationship. Remember that all day—and share it with someone else.

Usher In His Presence

With everything going on we need God’s presence more than ever. We need to get our praise on.

When we praise and honor Him, He will move and right now, we need Him to move in a big way.

So, let's get our praise on!

God Bless.

Usher in His Presence

by Kenneth Copeland

“Let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15

Oftentimes we think about praising God, but because we don’t feel like it, we shrug off that prompting in our spirit, and don’t do it. But God is worthy of our praise—whether we feel like praising Him or not. We must realize that praise is not governed by our emotions. Hebrews 13:15 says we are to praise Him continually.

Under the old covenant, when the people had problems, they went to the priest and he would offer a sacrifice to God. That would bring God on the scene. Today, under the new covenant, we are to do the same. Only we are the priests under God (Revelation 5:10). As we offer up the sacrifices of praise before our Most High Priest, Jesus, our communication with God is great. Psalm 22:3 says God inhabits the praises of His people. Our praise brings God personally on the scene.

At times of high praise, the shekinah glory of God will fill an entire place with His sweet presence. When Solomon finished building the house of the Lord, the trumpeters and singers lifted their voices as one, and with trumpets, cymbals and instruments of music, they praised the Lord saying, “For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.” The glory of God filled the house so that the priests could not even minister because of the cloud (2 Chronicles 5:13-14). God Himself inhabited the praises of His people. So usher His presence into your situation.

Praise Him in the midst of your needs. Praise Him, regardless of your feelings. Obey the Word and praise Him continually. He is worthy to be praised! To praise when you don’t feel like it is an act of honor. God said, “He that honors Me, him will I honor.” Speak the Word “I offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually. The fruit of my lips gives thanks to His Name.” —Hebrews 13:15

Ready

This is not the time to be labeled a fake Christian.

We need to illuminate light in a world of darkness. We need to be ready to give a answer for our hope.

God Bless.

Ready

By American Bible Society

Writing to Christians living under Roman rule in a Greek-Roman culture, Peter urges them to be brave in the face of opposition. You know who your ultimate master is, Peter says. Put him first. In these verses, Peter envisions a specific situation and advises believers to prepare for it. Be ready to explain why you’re different. Note that Peter is not expecting this difference to show up in their abstaining from or participating in certain behaviors, but in something more internal. People will notice you for something un-fakeable. Not flashy performances, astute arguments, or moral lifestyles. It’s going to be your hope. Peter’s focus here is on this curious friend or neighbor who catches a glimpse of what seems like an irrational hopefulness.

Maybe that looks like freedom from guilt or a readiness to forgive. Maybe it’s an undercurrent of calmness or lack of anger. Something’s different at the core—and this person who doesn’t have that hope wants to know more. When that happens, Peter says, make your answer with respect—with gentle, careful courtesy. Who is being respected here? It’s that person who was discerning enough to observe a subtle truth, and who has been courageous—or hungry—enough to ask about it. Treat that person gently, carefully, listening to her. Be more interested in his questions than in your responses, more attentive to his heart than your own. The emphasis on gentleness and respect, on questions and answers, suggests a scenario other than preaching. You don’t ready yourself by preparing a three-point sermon. Jesus once told Peter and the other disciples not to worry in advance about what to say when they were hauled to court, because the Spirit would give them words (Mark 13:11). So maybe our best preparation is to learn reliance on the Lord. Can we learn to respond in each moment, answering each question with the agile grace of God’s Spirit—not striving to argue others into truth, but to woo them into a relationship with the God who gives us meaning?

Why should these friends and neighbors read the Bible? Because it explains the hope that we have, a hope they might want for themselves. Why should we read the Bible? To keep us in tune with the Spirit, who directs this redemptive improvisation.

Can You

These words below could not fit better for what is going on today. Despite everything going on, God is indeed speaking.

We just need to have ears to hear it and well, we just need to give Him the credit and the honor He deserves.

God Bless.

Can you hear God's saying something? I live in a big city. Yes, Jakarta is so big with more than 8 million people are busy doing their activities each day. Traffic jams are almost everywhere, and people are rushing to make their agendas met, and most of the times... with complaining attitude - well, that includes me. However, reading part of Psalm 19, makes me wonder about the things I have missed in that "busyness". In this Psalm David's writing, God somehow is saying: Can you see what My hands have made, for you? I have made the clouds to protect you from heat; I have made the sun to shine and give energy, and many more. Can you hear what each day brings to give you opportunity to make a great story? Yet, you complain of the routines? Can you hear the voice of My power protecting you at night and blessing you for a new morning?

I felt somehow David just knew what we, the people of this age, would miss. And God allows him to wrote a reminder to reach us in any places of the earth, of one thing: there is God who is blessing us continually. Many times, God remains anonymous, but I believe that does not mean we don't need to be thankful. Please join me today to give thanks to our God, who sustains our lives and blesses us so abundantly. Whoever finds God, finds life.

God’s Solution For Loneliness

This is meant to give hope to anyone who is feeling lonely especially with everything going on.

God Bless.

God’s Solution for Loneliness

“But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength” (2 Timothy 4:17a NIV). The Bible encourages us to consider several things when we grapple with loneliness:

First, focus on the needs of others. We can choose to turn our eyes toward other people, instead of staying focused on ourselves. And we can look for specific ways to serve them. The apostle Paul focused on telling more people about Jesus: “But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it” (2 Timothy 4:17a NIV).

Second, focus on your purpose. Even when the apostle Paul was isolated in a prison, he never stopped living out his purpose. He kept telling others about Jesus. In fact, while under house arrest in Rome, he wrote many of the letters that are now part of the New Testament.

Third, focus on supporting others. Instead of thinking, “I’m so lonely,” say, “Father, help me be a friend to people who need a friend. Help me to help lonely people.” That’s an effective antidote for loneliness. You can help others become rich in relationships by giving them the gift of you.

Don't Believe

Truth bomb below!!!!!

God Bless.

A lot of people around the world don’t believe in the power and relevance of the Bible or feel like it’s even important anymore. Statistically, with each year that passes, more and more Americans believe the Bible is just another book written by men. We disagree. God used men to write his Word — his very own love letter — to the world. It wasn’t just relevant then; it’s relevant now. And it’s something that we need to be engaging with frequently, deeply and intentionally. So we pose a statement to you: The Bible matters because ____________. How would you fill in the blank? What answer would you give as to why the Bible matters to you personally? Or even why it’s mattered in the past, and therefore why it still matters today? The Bible isn’t just an old historical book that holds no relevance today. Hebrews 4:12 tells us, “For the word of God is alive and powerful” (NLT).

Note the present tense — it is alive and powerful, not it was alive and powerful! God’s Word is eternal. It will endure forever! And people need to understand its value and worth in their lives, right here and right now. That’s why the #WhyBible campaign exists — so that stories and conversations can be shared about why the Bible matters today. It’s designed to remind us all that the Bible continues to have an incredible impact on individuals and communities around the world. We invite you to join us in declaring to the world the importance and significance of the Bible. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the Bible’s impact on our own lives and share our stories with the world!

Destroy Those Incoming SCUD Missiles

This is a great little devotional to mediate on. And with everything going on, the world needs us to step up and do something about the events taking the world to hell in a hand basket.

God Bless.

Destroy Those Incoming SCUD Missiles

by Gloria Copeland

“Continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.” 2 Timothy 3:14 Jesus warned us that the distractions of this age, the deceitfulness of riches and the lusts of other things can creep in and choke the Word and make it fruitless (Mark 4:19).

Right next to that verse in my Bible, I’ve written the letters S-C-U-D. They stand for the phrase, “Satan Continuously Uses Distractions.” He’s always sending those SCUD missiles at you to discourage you and draw you off course. Hey, he’ll whisper, have you noticed you don’t have any money? Have you noticed your body is in pain? Have you heard all the ugly things people are saying about you? How do you fight distractions like that? Just “continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.” I’ll tell you the truth: It’s not the great revelation you haven’t had yet that causes you defeat. It’s failing to do what you already know.

So whenever you reach a hard place, continue to do what you know and you’ll make it through in victory. You have everything it takes to be a winner. You have everything you need to be a part of the glorious, victorious end-time army of God. Get aggressive. Press in. Lay hold of the kingdom of God with all the force you can muster. That’s the price you pay to win this race. But one thing is sure, you not only have the present victory, but also the eternal victory you gain will be worth it all. Satan won’t ever stop in his relentless efforts to distract you. But you have the power to overcome. You have the power and the knowledge to continue to do what God has already told you to do. It’s that simple. Continuing will put you over. Don’t quit believing and acting on God’s Word. You have what it takes to destroy those incoming SCUDS! Speak the Word “I am not distracted, but I continue in the things which I have learned.” —2 Timothy 3:14

The Kingdom Of Heaven Is Not Just A Future Hope

I'm not sure I totally agree with this little devotional but I did feel to out put it out there for all of us to mediate on.

Maybe it's just time to tell God, let You kingdom come for this world is going to hell in a hand basket and we need something to hold onto.

God Bless.

“The Kingdom Of Heaven Is Not Just A Future Hope”

Jesus told a story about ten young ladies who were invited to a wedding (Matthew 25:1–13). Five of them focused only on the future wedding, forgetting to bring enough oil for the time they had to wait; but the other five focused on the ‘now’ as well as the ‘future’, bringing enough oil for both. There’s a kind of Christian who is always miserable and gloomy, hoping for God to bring better times. Some of these Christians try to trace every detail of Bible prophecy, to work out exactly how the end will come. But the Bridegroom will surprise us all. Jesus has promised us that things will be better in the future. But if that’s all we have, and we are just waiting in misery for that day, then we are like the five girls without oil.

The Kingdom of Heaven is not only a future hope; it is also a present reality. Only those who live profitably and joyfully in Christ’s Kingdom now will ever come to see the Kingdom of Glory. What is your perspective as a Christian? Are you enjoying Christ’s Kingdom blessings now, or are you gritting your teeth and holding on for something beyond the grave? List some things that are holding you back from enjoying Christ’s Kingdom blessings today. Find a Bible promise that will help you make it a reality in your life.

You Shall See the Glory of God

Let it be so, Lord! Let it be so.

Holy Spirit fall one more time upon this earth.

God Bless.

You Shall See the Glory of God

by Kenneth Copeland

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.” Acts 2:1-3

There is coming a time when the glory of God won’t just radiate out from God, it will radiate from us! It will burn within us and upon us with such power that the devil and all his hordes will be like ashes under the soles of our feet! It is almost unthinkable to them that such glory and power could reside in and flow through the flesh-and-blood bodies of men and women. Yet the Bible tells us that’s what will happen. We’ve seen the beginning of this...on the Day of Pentecost. To grasp the impact of that day, you have to forget those Sunday school pictures depicting tiny flames hovering over the heads of the disciples. You need to get the images of God as described in Habakkuk 3:3-4, Ezekiel 1:1-28 and Malachi 4:1-3...you need the images of God’s glory as seen in His fire, His light, His magnificent brightness. Go through these passages of Scripture and think about His blazing fire of glory! Think on Ezekiel’s description of God’s glory being a fire from the loins up and a fire from the loins down...and then you will realize what happened in the upper room in Acts 2. God Himself came in! Everything was shaken with such a great sound of wind that it sounded like a freight train coming through a tunnel. It was the glory! It roared in and filled the whole room.

Then a blazing fire appeared, and He sat on, or enveloped, each disciple one by one! On that day, God was able to at last embrace His people. They’d been washed in the blood of Jesus. Sin had been defeated at Calvary. They’d been reborn and made righteous with God’s own righteousness. So He could come to them without any cloud, without any covering of any kind. He could come to them as His own glorious Self! He came on them and into them. Now it is our time to walk in that brighter-than-sunlight, radiating, fiery power that is so pure and full of the presence of God that the devil can’t withstand it. It is God’s plan for us to walk in the light as He is in the light, to walk in the glory as He is in the glory (1 John 1:5-7). It is time for us to shine! He’s equipped us to do it here and now. So stretch your capacity to conceive and to believe. Study what the Word says about the glory. Make it your aim to walk in the light as God is in the light. Believe...and you shall surely see the glory of God. Speak the Word “I walk in the light, as He is in the light. I walk in the glory, as He is in the glory.” —1 John 1:7

It's Beginning To Rain

My prayer is...let it rain!

Lord, we need the wind's of refreshing and the rain of Your Spirit to a lost and dying world who has been thrown into a chaotic mess without little hope of things changing any time soon.

God Bless.

It’s Beginning to Rain

by Kenneth Copeland

“And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.... And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh.” Joel 2:24-25, 28 If you’re like me, right now you’re thinking, Oh man, I want to be in on this move of God in the last days. I don’t want to be on the fringes of it either—I want to be right in the middle! You can be—if you’ll get yourself ready. How? Primarily by doing these three things: First, prepare yourself for the greatest criticism you’ve ever experienced. There’s never been a move of God that’s avoided criticism, and this outpouring will be no exception. If Jesus couldn’t avoid it, neither can you. Be determined to pay no attention to any criticism. Second, get the sin out of your life.

You know how. Just repent! And make a change. There must be a new fire of holiness burning and sweeping through the people of faith in this land. We’re free people, made free by the Son of the living God. But we are never free from obeying the Word and the ways of God. That’s where our freedom lies. Third, pray for the rain. Zechariah 10:1 tells us to pray for the rain in the time of the latter rain. Well, the time is here. So we need to pray for the fullness of it. We must get in our prayer closets. Go before God and turn off the pleasures of this world. Turn off the loud noise the devil is making out there. All that entertainment is only meant to do one thing and that’s to distract you away from prayer and the things of God’s Word. Don’t let it succeed. Instead start praying and using your faith. It’s time to pray and intercede until this outpouring bursts fully upon our land and the lands around the world. What a sight it will be when it does! Years ago when I was praying about this final rain, the Lord said to me, I’ve been manifested as the rain. I’ve been manifested as the fire or as lightning. I’ve been manifested as the wind. But I’ve never been manifested as all four at the same time. Now, in the time of the former and latter rain, you’re going to see all of Me for the first time ever. Think of it! A spiritual storm of the power of the living God. And it’s not coming in another century or two. Or even another decade or two. It’s coming now, so get ready for it! Glory to God, it’s beginning to rain! Speak the Word “It’s beginning to rain! The Lord is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh!” —Joel 2:28

Communion With God

There is nothing more important or precious than communicating with the one true God and we need to do more of it.

May our conversions with the Lord be earth shattering and life changing.

God Bless.

Communion with God
I have been united with God
and have become one in spirit with Him.

Let’s look at some of the functions of the spirit as it relates to the soul and the body. We have seen that the spirit is God-conscious, the soul is self-conscious, and the body is world-conscious. It is very important to understand that the soul is self-conscious. Whenever people are focused on themselves—their own problems and needs—they are operating in the realm of the soul.
The primary activity of the spirit is union with God. It is the only part of man that can be directly united with God. In 1 Corinthians 6:17, Paul said, “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him”—not one soul, not one body, but one spirit. The great privilege we have with our spirits is union and communion with God. The highest activity of man’s spirit is worship.
Man’s soul contains these three elements: will, intellect, and emotions. The will is the part of me that says, “I want”; the intellect is the part that says, “I think”; and the emotions are the part of me that says, “I feel.” Together, these three components make up the soul.
The body is world-conscious; through the senses, the body contacts the surrounding time-space world. God’s original purpose was that man’s spirit should direct his soul, and that his soul should direct his body. The spirit can direct the body only through the soul. There is one exception to this, and that is speaking in tongues. That is why speaking in tongues is such a unique experience. When we speak in tongues, our spirits control the physical member, the tongue, without the soul’s involvement. That is why it is such a tremendously important experience.
Thank You, Lord, for joining me to You. I proclaim that I have been united with God and have become one in spirit with Him. Amen.

Modeling Our Beliefs

There has never been a better time to start modeling our beliefs and the hope we have in us.

May we stand up and live up to what is good and true.

God Bless.

And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. (NLT) -Titus 2:7

It's easier to tell someone what to do than it is to lead by example. Modeling our beliefs is much more impactful and makes the value ingrained deeper in all who see our example. Telling others what and how to react takes the choice away from them. God will speak to them and show them the error of their ways through your behavior alone. Set the example and let all you do be a reflection of Him.

Serving Others Two

During this difficult time, we must serve others and keep pushing forward in our walk to make sure no one get's left behind.

God Bless.

Serving Others

Whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all
- Mark 10:44

Do you want to make a difference in the kingdom of God? Do you desire to be used in a mighty way to the glory of Jesus Christ? Do you have high ambitions for yourself in Christ's body?

Then don't settle for holding a significant position or for being especially prominent. Raise your sights even higher -- make it your goal to be the chief person in the kingdom of God...and start serving everyone around you.

Jesus told his ambitious, contentious disciples on several occasions the only way to be great in His kingdom. The person that wishes to be great must take on the lowest, self-emptying, others-oriented, servant-spirited position in the church. he or she must become the servant of all.

Is there anyone in the church that you would disdain to serve? Do you still see yourself above certain individuals because of their background, or social status, or financial situation, or educational level, or personal hygiene? Then you are not yet chief in the kingdom of God. You have not yet risen high enough in the service of the Lord. Because you are not yet the servant of all.

Look today for opportunities for promotion in the church of Jesus Christ. Search out the lowliest and become lower still by serving them. There is no person too small, or smelly, or ugly, or sick, or handicapped for you to serve in Christ's kingdom, if you are spiritually ambitious enough.

Serving Others

Something to think about. We need to be around people of hope and faith more than ever and while we are it, we need to go above and beyond to make sure everyone we come in contact with are living their best life by meeting their needs.

God Bless.

Serving Others

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ
- Galatians 6:2

To bear each other's burdens means to emotionally, financially, physically, and -- most of all -- spiritually support one another in times of need. Are you ready for such a commitment?

The church of Jesus Christ is not a social club or fraternity. It is the family of God, committing to one another that we will grow together, rejoice together, and hurt together as a body. No member of God's family should ever have to bear grief, or pain, or problems on their own.

Interestingly, Galatians is the New Testament's preeminent work on grace versus law. Paul is writing to the saints in Galatia and warning them against the bondage of legalistic, works-based attempts at salvation. Yet, in that very context Paul declares the need for us to "fulfill the law of Christ."

Which is it, we might ask? Law or grace? It is the law of Christ, because of the grace of Christ. Because of Christ's sin-bearing, yoke-sharing ministry to us through grace, we are to bear one another's burdens and reflect our Savior. We are to fulfill the selfless law of Christ's grace, which Paul has already summed up for us in the single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (5:14).

Do you grieve when you lose a loved one? Then you can help bear your neighbor's burden, as if it were your own. Do you struggle with discouragement? Then love your neighbor as yourself and give the same encouragement that you yourself would desire in the same situation.

Faith Is The Confidence

Faith can be simplified to mean trust...this sentence says it all about the faith subject matter.

Now more than ever, we need to hold onto faith and then be willing to show others how to keep theirs.

God Bless.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. (NLT) -Hebrews 11:1

Faith can be simplified to mean trust. It's trusting in God even though you can't see, smell, or touch Him. It's trusting that He loves you and will always have your best interest at heart. Once you believe that He loves you, it becomes easier to place more faith in Him. How are you faithfully trusting in God?

Don't Make Small Plans

This is so good. For the darkness share pass away and light will soon shine bright so, what are you going to do when you see it? DREAM AND EXPECT BIG THINGS!!!

God Bless.

Don't Make Small Plans

by Joyce Meyer

Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.
—Proverbs 24:3,4 (TLB)

I hope you have a dream or a vision in your heart for something greater than what you have now. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that we can hope or ask or think. If we are not thinking, hoping, or asking for anything, we are cheating ourselves. We need to think big thoughts, hope for big things, and ask for big things. I always say, I would rather ask God for a lot and get half of it, than to ask Him for a little and get all of it.
However, it is an unwise person who only thinks, dreams, and asks big but fails to realize that an enterprise is built by hard work and wise planning. Dreams for the future are possibilities, but not what I call "positivelies." In other words, they are possible, but they will not positively occur unless we do our part. When we see a twenty-year-old athlete who is a gold medalist in the Olympics, we know that he spent many years practicing while others were playing games. He may not have had all the "fun" his friends had, but he did develop his potential. Now he has something that will bring him joy for the rest of his life.
Far too many people take the "quick fix" method for everything. They only want what makes them feel good right now. They are not willing to invest for the future. Don't just enter the race for the fun of being in it—run to win! (See 1 Corinthians 9:24,25). There is a gold mine hidden in every life, but we have to dig to get to it. We must be willing to dig deep and go beyond how we feel or what is convenient. If we will dig down deep into the spirit, we will find strength we never knew we had.

A Deeper Sense Of Thankfulness

I believe thankfulness is an underrated topic and as the world is thrown into chaos, we aren't seeing anything to be thankful for but maybe if we can start being in thankful in the small things, than maybe we could start to be thankful in the mist of the storm.

God Bless.

A Deeper Sense Of Thankfulness

A spirit of gratitude and thankfulness is surely one of the great keys of the kingdom. The beginning of man’s rebellion against God was the lack of a thankful heart. Do we genuinely desire and long for God, or for other things? The truth of the matter is, if we are not content and grateful for what we have and who we are, then we are not loving God as we should.

As Francis Schaeffer put it, we are “coveting against God.” A thankless spirit wants things now. Rather than being impatient, we need to learn to love the journey we are on more than the point of arrival; to learn to embrace trust rather than control. There is a supernatural power in expressing our thanksgiving to God that brings divine multiplication. Murmuring and moaning put our focus on lack. Thanksgiving is aware of abundance. Each day we have is a gift, not a right. Our attitude towards life, towards our God, will determine the quality of the “soil” of our life and whether God can plant seed there that will lead to an abundant harvest of blessing. We can choose unbelief, murmuring and complaining against God, which leads to anger and anxiety. Or we can choose thankfulness, which leads to peace and rest. Entitlement breeds envy, greed and restlessness. Gratitude waters the garden of our heart with wonder, joy and faith. The grass is not greener next door – it’s greener where we water it! Let us unwrap the gift of “today” with the childlike humility and awe that God’s gift deserves.

Thankfulness results in a willingness to surrender to God’s will for our lives, because we trust Him to be who He says He is for us – the perfect Father. If we want two good indications of how much we are really trusting God, we should pay attention to our levels of anxiety and anger when things don’t go our way, and to the steadiness of our stream of thanksgiving, whatever the circumstances.

Never Say No Way

Let this sink deep within our soul and we grasp ahold and never let go.

God Bless.

Never Say “No Way”

by Joyce Meyer

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
—John 14:6

Have you ever faced a situation and said, “There is no way”? Maybe some of these thoughts weigh on your mind:
There is no way I can handle the pressure at work.

There is no way I can pay my bills at the end of the month. There is no way I can save my marriage.

There is no way I can keep my house clean and straight. There is no way I can lose the weight I need to lose.
There is always a way. It may not be easy, it may not be convenient, it may not come quickly; but if you will simply keep on keeping on and refuse to give up, you will find a way. Jesus is the Way, and He will help you find a way where there doesn’t seem to be one.
Power Thought: I refuse to say “no way”; Jesus is the Way.
