The Word

Without the word, we would be lost and stubbling through life wondering what the heck.

But thank God, He has provided everything we need to not only make it in this world but to thrive in it.

God Bless.

The Word:

Describing Jesus (at the start of the Gospel of John) is no small thing. In Jewish culture, words were powerful. In Genesis 1, we hear of the world being spoken into existence. Creation was brought into existence by the word. And in John 1, the Word is revealed as the second Person of the triune God, who said it and it was done. He spoke all things out of nothing in the first creation, He was in the beginning with God the Father, and was God, and by Him all things were created (John 1:14, John 1:9-18). Jesus not only spoke words that lead to eternal life, but according to this verse He is the very words of life, referring to the eternal life of joy and fulfilment which He provides.

Putting this all together for the Jews of Jesus’ time, The Word was more than just language and communication. The Word meant life, power, and was personally involved with them. Jesus as the Word of God means perfect relationship with God, and with us. We can approach the throne of God with confidence knowing that Jesus, as the Word of God, has done it all.

Not Even One

Yes, we are indebted but thank God the price has been paid. Now to believe in everything Jesus paid for and live by it.

God Bless.

Reading: Luke, chapter 7

Devotional: Not even one of us would have enough money to pay for our sins. We are all in debt and incapable of clearing our indebtedness to God, but we all have the One, who has already paid for our sins in full and has freed us from all burdens. That is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Love Him much for He has forgiven you much!

To think about: How much did Jesus have to forgive in your life?

Quote Of The Day - When A Person

More insight from Joyce Meyer. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“When a person is going through a hard time, his mind wants to give up. Satan knows that if he can defeat us in our mind, he can defeat us in our experience. That’s why it is so important that we not lose heart, grow weary and faint.”

Restoration

This little devotional is so insightful and I just wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless.

Restoration

Today : Restoration

TODAY’S VERSE
“He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. All power to him forever! Amen.” I Peter 5:10-11 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is easy to get tired. You know, just plain worn out. Life seems to come at us so hard. There is never enough time to get everything we need done. Is it a wonder that we feel like we live in a pressure cooker? Jesus invited all of us who are under a heavy burden to come to Him. He promised that He would give us rest. Peter heard Him say it! And now Peter writes to us promising that this same Jesus will restore, support and strengthen us. Peter promises us that Jesus will place us on a firm foundation because all power belongs to Him. Today, let this same Jesus comfort you. Let Him come into your situation and give you support and strength. Lean on Him. Share with Him. Give Him all your burdens. Remember, “All power belongs to Him forever!”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I come to You with all my burdens. Help me, comfort me. I lean on You dear Lord. I need Your strength and support. Thank You for all Your provisions. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God restores, supports and strengthens me
Visualize yourself coming to Jesus all worn out, tired and weary. You are burdened and about ready to give up. And then you sense empathy coming from Jesus. He hears you. He senses your need. He looks at you with compassion and you begin to feel your burden start to lift. Faith begins to fill your brain and hope follows. Soon joy begins to replace your mood and God places you on a firm foundation. You affirm, “God restores, supports and strengthens me.”

Do Not Worry About Your Future

Let it be so, Lord, let it be so.

God Bless.

“DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR FUTURE”

DR. RODNEY HOWARD-BROWNE, TAMPA, FL

“Do not worry about your future, don’t worry about your safety. Don’t worry about provision. I will make a way for you; I will go before you. I will be there on your Monday; I will be there on your Tuesday, on your Wednesday, on your Thursday, on your Friday, your Saturday. You shall see My hand, you shall see the hand of provision, and you shall see the miraculous. You will see it, you will see it, and you will know that I am the Lord your God. I am the one that provides for you. Thou shalt not lack — you will not lack!"

Prayer

Amen and God Bless.

Prayer

You have given me everything, generous and loving Lord, and I can only give You that which You already have. I vow to give You all of my life's energy, blessed Father, and love You with all of my heart and strength. I ask forgiveness for the many moments of selfishness in my life, where I thought not of You but thought only of myself. You have never done this to me, but I have done it to You. As Your humble child, I repent at Your feet. I am kneeling, Lord. Please lift me up. Amen.

Son Of God

Some interesting insight into the meaning of what it is to be called Son of God.

Just wanted to share.

God Bless.

Son of God:

For those of us who have been Christians for a long time, the effect of the name of Jesus as the Son of God has probably been taken for granted (well, for me at least). So what does it mean? In Philippians 2:6 we read that Jesus, “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.”

In Hebrews 1:8-9 we read that “But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever.” When Paul said that Jesus is the Son of God, we know this to mean that He is fully man but fully God. Being the Son of God, we know this to mean that Jesus is in the nature of God. And so we can have confidence that to know the Son is to know the Father! What a wonderful comfort for us as God’s children that we too share this sonship. Praise God for Jesus! .

Quote Of The Day - He Did Not Send The Power

Amen. We have to be more mindful of the words written below.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

Quote Of The Day - You May Have

This is so good and needs to be meditated on.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“You may have some major strongholds in your life that need to be broken. Let me encourage you by saying, “God is on your side.” There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But the good news is that God is fighting on your side.”

The Darkest Valley

Food for thought.

God Bless.

The Darkest Valley

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.  (NLT) -Psalm 23:4

Are you nurturing a relationship with Jesus that will stay with you until the end of days? Even when you have forgotten names, dates, and familiar faces, will your faith be strong enough to still know you are a child of God? No one looks forward to that season of life with anticipation, but isn't it comforting to know we don't walk alone. Make a relationship with God a priority each and every day. He will provide protection and comfort.

Do Not Be Anxious

Peace is the answer for the troubles happening. We need to show the world there is a better way to live.

God Bless.

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Philippians 4:6-7, Amplified.

While speaking to a group of women in recovery, one woman raised her hand and asked, “You seem to walk in great peace, and you speak so calmly. What is it I have to do to experience the same peace in my life?” I told her I wasn’t sure if it was the Zoloft I was taking at the time or the real peace of God. They laughed at my response. I chuckled and then shared how God has given me peace that I can’t explain. The best medicine cannot touch this peace. The answer to walking in divine peace and enjoying a quiet and calm spirit is prayer and gratitude.

Talking with your Father and being thankful is the key that unlocks a flood of peace in your life. Instead of focusing on what’s not going well, I challenge you to turn your heart and your focus to what is true and what is right. You are right with the Father through Jesus, and your name is written in the Book of Life. You are His daughter, and all is well in Him. The Lord wants you to walk in divine peace, and you will in Jesus’ name. The peace of God is enveloping you now, and you will bless Him with a heart full of gratitude.

Prayer: Father, thank you for speaking directly to my heart. Thank you for everything you have done in my heart and mind. Thank you for rescuing me from a destructive path and crowning me. I thank you and bless you. Help me sit in deep gratitude and let your divine peace overwhelm me, not just for a moment, but for all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Unconditional Surrender

Can we honestly say we have given Him our all? I can't help but think the answer is no. For if we had, then maybe the world would be a much better place to live in.

God Bless.

Unconditional Surrender

By this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. - 1 John 3:24, NKJV

When the Holy Spirit comes into you at your invitation, you receive as much of Him as you will ever have. You do not get a little bit of Him then and a little bit more at later experiences. Since He is a Person, you cannot get Him in pieces. You either have all of the Holy Spirit or you have none of the Holy Spirit. Why is it, then, that He seems to get us in pieces? He comes to us unconditionally, while we surrender to Him conditionally.

We give Him our Sundays but not our Mondays.

We give Him our actions but not our attitudes.

We give Him our relationships but not our reputations.

We give Him our time but not our thoughts.

We give Him our burdens but not our bodies.

We give Him our prayers but not our pleasures.

We give Him our crises but not our children.

We give Him our health but not our hearts.

Would you drop the conditions and give Him all of you?
