Energized By His Presence

There is nothing like His Presence. And if you haven't experienced, well I say, you better getcha some. Its life changing.

God Bless.

Energized by His Presence

The awareness of God’s presence energizes us for our work.

If you're a Christian, Jesus Christ is the supervisor at your place of work—and He not only watches you from afar, He’s right there with you. You and I need to give a full day’s labor, regardless of whether we think management is fair. Jesus is ultimately the One we serve, and He’s always on site. You and I should do our very best because the Holy Spirit is present, equipping, and energizing us.

We make a terrible mistake by segmenting life. We may think that Monday through Friday we go to work, Saturday we play, and Sunday we worship. God has not designed life that way. If Jesus Christ is our Savior, we can’t exclude Him from any part of life. It isn’t right to teach a Sunday school class with everything we have, then meander into work the rest of the week—we must honor and glorify Him in everything we do. It eliminates the temptation of doing our work merely to be seen by men when we commit ourselves wholeheartedly to Jesus (Matt. 6:24).

Do I mean that your mundane job is also the Lord’s work? Yes! Ministry is not just what you do at church. You worship God every day of the week—on Sunday, you do so in church; on Monday through Friday, you show your devotion to Him by doing a good job at work. Your exalted status as a child of God dignifies your labor, and your office or place of employment should be better off because you are there.

You serve the Lord Jesus Christ (Col. 3:24). Do you have a good testimony in the marketplace for Him? Are you one of your company’s most faithful employees because you serve God? Does your attitude reflect the joy you have in considering Him the real CEO? If so, then you are truly getting the most out of your work.

The Key

This little devotional packs a punch and gives us a lot to meditate on  May you find encouragement and strength to keep fighting.

God Bless.

The Key to Continued Peace

Peace with God is the fruit of oneness with God.

It’s a known fact that into every life a little rain must fall. No one is exempt from the difficulties that have a way of showing up when we least expect them. And chances are when adversity does strike, one of the first questions we’ll ask ourselves is why. We may even begin to fret about the impact it will have on our lives. While reactions such as these are normal, we also need another response—and that is to turn to the One who holds all comfort and security firmly within His grasp.

Paul admonishes us to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6-7).

How can we change the feelings of anxiety when we come under pressure? One of the first steps is to recognize anxiety for what it is—the opposite of peace. It’s the fan that flames the fires of doubt and confusion, and it has the ability to leave us helplessly bundled in worry and fear. When we cave to thoughts of anxiety, we lose our spiritual focus and mindset. The key to overcoming anxiety is found only in the presence of God.

Accepting God’s timetable and the limitations He places on a given situation help to dispel rising anxiety. Therefore, let Him provide for you in His timing. When you accept life as a gift from the hand of God, there you will find mercy and grace, forgiveness and hope, peace and everlasting security.

Let His peace fill your heart—today and every day. Tell Him all you’re feeling. God understands and knows life can be difficult—but He has a solution. Our peace resides in our Savior who loves us unconditionally. And He’s promised to keep us and deliver us into the Father’s loving arms.

Fullness Of Joy

Read this a couple of times and really let this sink in.

May you find strength and encouragement from the word's written below.

God Bless.

Fullness of Joy

Adapted from the resource My Time with God - by Joyce Meyer

We seek many things in life that we think will give us joy and enjoyment, but we often fail to seek the one thing that brings fullness of joy. If we seek God first as our vital need, His presence will enable us to enjoy other things, but without Him, they will always be lacking in some way.

Include the Lord in all that you do and speak with Him throughout the day. He is your joy!

Prayer Starter: Father, I will seek You first as my vital need in life, and I will experience fullness of joy as a result, amen

I Understand

Huh..this is a interesting little devotional.
Just going to leave here.

God Bless.

I understand that sometimes people think I'm nuts, but when I'm in a hurry and the lights turn green as I get to them, I thank God. When I find a parking spot right when I need it, I thank God. I even thank God each time I finish a reflection on his word. It's a habit I developed in my youth and continue. Gratitude is a habit. The Israelites were ecstatic after walking through the sea and also very pleased that the Egyptians were prevented from following them. And so they sang in praise of God's goodness.

Now, green lights and parking places are not great triumphs, but as I said, gratitude is a habit. It's easy enough to develop; all we need is the will. It begins by realizing that all is gift, all we have is from God. Even the dark times give us reason to give thanks to God because it is through God's grace that we survive the dark times. When we begin to examine the events of the day we realize where God has been, where we've recognized him and where we missed him. Then we can thank him for the triumphs of the day, and for getting us through the rest.

Faithful God

I believe this little devotional is a word and encouragement from the Father himself. Be encouraged and keep fighting the fight.

God Bless.

Faithful God

I entrust my spirit into your hand.  Rescue me Lord, for you are a faithful God. (NLT) -Psalm 31:5

Times get tough and life is not easy. Place your faith in God, look to Him for protection. Pray to Him and tell Him your worries. He is always there, faithfully waiting for you to come to Him. If you are having a hard time seeing God's faithfulness, ask Him to open your eyes. Ask Him to show you all that He is doing in your life.

God's Name

Here's some food for thought. Do what you will with the word's written below but I found them thought provoking and I want to share the wealth.

God Bless.

God's name as it is written in Scripture is either Jehovah or Yahweh, or just YHWH. All are translations of He is Who He is. Because the Jewish people did not call God by the name he gave Moses. It is for this reason that the Jewish people were so angry when Jesus said that before Abraham came to be I AM. To say God's name was to blaspheme. For the people of Moses' time, names had power. They felt that to use the name of God was to say that they had power over God, and so the name was sacred. I can remember an uncle of mine who would often take not just the Lord's name in vain when he was angry, but would also use it to curse whoever he was angry with. I'm sure you know many people who do the same without even blinking an eye.

Good Christians, all, who would be horrified if they were called on it. We are offended when people use foul language, why are we not offended when the Lord's name is taken in vain? A friend of mine used to work in the office of a major manufacturing company and the man who sat behind her was continually cursing the company and its managers. One day she had had enough and turned to him and said, "No wonder the company is going to pot, you keep asking God to damn it." He had never considered that he was both swearing and cursing, but he stopped. What about us? Do we need to clean up our speech, or ask other to do so?

For In Jesus Christ

This is some insightful and to me full of wisdom and encouragement. May you also find something you to to keep going in your walk as well.

God Bless.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Inspiration

The best way to express this faith we have in God, is in how we treat other human beings. If we spend most of our lives cheating, swindling, and maltreating people, it will be very hard for one to believe that we have received salvation in our lives. Salvation should compel one to be loving to others because of the love one was shown first. Strive to be loving and supportive to your neighbors, family, friends, and strangers, as possible as you live your daily life.

Prayer

Dear God, my heart's desire is to live out the example you set for us, in the form of your Son, Jesus Christ. I desire to love my neighbors, my family, and even strangers the same way Christ loved all men and women without expecting anything in return. I desire to not be interested in what I get in return, but in what I was able to give. Lord, I ask that you help me enact this love in my everyday life. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Pray For Friend's

Find your tribe and pray for them but don't forget all the friend's you may have left behind. Pray for them like never before.

God Bless.

Mornings With God

We... do not cease to pray for you. - Col 1:9

Some people pray for their friends, but ask only for things of lower or less important – that they may have good health, that they may get on well in worldly affairs, that they may prosper socially.

These are proper enough blessings to ask for our friends, but they are not the first things.

Paul, in praying for his friends, asks for them the highest and greatest things. He requests that they may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing; that they may bear fruit in every good work; that they may increase in the knowledge of God; and that they may be strengthened with all power unto all patience and long–suffering with joy.

Could we do better than to pray Paul’s prayer for our friends? These are blessings, which we know they need, and which God is willing to give them.

We need never fear that in asking for such things we are seeking for blessings that will perish in the using.

Be Careful For Nothing

No truer words than what is written below. May this little devotional be of encouragement to you in your walk of faith.

God Bless.

Mornings With God

Be careful for nothing. - Phil 4:6

How to learn not to worry is one of the lessons everyone should master.

Worry is a terribly wasteful experience. It uses up the strength we need for our duty. It unfits us for doing our work well. It is dishonoring to God, for He has promised to care for us, if only we do His will faithfully. Then it is utterly fruitless, for it does not take away the things it frets over.

The Bible gives many lessons on the subject, but none that makes plainer just how we are to eliminate worrying from our life than what Paul here tells us to do.

First of all, we are simply not to worry. “In nothing be anxious.” There is no room for exceptions, special circumstances, and all that. We are not to be anxious about anything.

What then shall we do with the matters that we are disposed to worry over? Put them into the hands of God in prayer, and leave them there. If we do this the peace of God will guard our hearts, our thoughts, from all anxiety. It will be a great deal to us in every way to learn this lesson.

The Spirit

The Spirit

Good, thought provoking little devotional below. Something to ponder and search out what God is saying to you about how you discern others.

God Bless.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  There is no law against these things! (NLT) -Galatians 5:22-23

Ever wonder if someone is a Christian? Take a look at their life. Do they express joy? Do they show love towards everyone? Do they display uncommon gentleness? The above qualities are inherent to the Holy Spirit. While these characteristics may not always be evident, it becomes a reflection of how spending time with God will produce these uncommon characteristics. What about you? Have you been spending time with the Holy Spirit to produce this kind of fruit in your life?

God Said

Food for thought. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.” (Exodus 3:15)

God’s name is almost always translated LORD (all caps) in the English Bible. But the Hebrew would be pronounced something like “Yahweh,” and is built on the word for “I am.”

So every time we hear the word Yahweh, or every time you see LORD in the English Bible, you should think: this is a proper name (like Peter or John) built out of the word for “I am” and reminding us each time that God absolutely is.

There are at least 10 things the name Yahweh, “I AM,” says about God:

1. He never had a beginning. Every child asks, “Who made God?” And every wise parent says, “Nobody made God. God simply is. And always was. No beginning.”

2. God will never end. If he did not come into being he cannot go out of being, because he is being.

3. God is absolute reality. There is no reality before him. There is no reality outside of him unless he wills it and makes it. He is all that was eternally. No space, no universe, no emptiness. Only God.

4. God is utterly independent. He depends on nothing to bring him into being or support him or counsel him or make him what he is.

5. Everything that is not God depends totally on God. The entire universe is utterly secondary. It came into being by God and stays in being moment by moment on God’s decision to keep it in being.

6. All the universe is by comparison to God as nothing. Contingent, dependent reality is to absolute, independent reality as a shadow to substance. As an echo to a thunderclap. All that we are amazed by in the world and in the galaxies is, compared to God, as nothing.

7. God is constant. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He cannot be improved. He is not becoming anything. He is who he is.

8. God is the absolute standard of truth and goodness and beauty. There is no law-book to which he looks to know what is right. No almanac to establish facts. No guild to determine what is excellent or beautiful. He himself is the standard of what is right, what is true, what is beautiful.

9. God does whatever he pleases and it is always right and always beautiful and always in accord with truth. All reality that is outside of him he created and designed and governs as the absolute reality. So he is utterly free from any constraints that don’t originate from the counsel of his own will.

10. God is the most important and most valuable reality and person in the universe. He is more worthy of interest and attention and admiration and enjoyment than all other realities, including the entire universe.

Quote Of The Day - I Hope You Have

Something to think about and find encouragement in.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“I hope you have a dream or a vision in your heart for something greater than what you have now. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that we can hope or ask or think. If we are not thinking, hoping, or asking for anything, we are cheating ourselves.”

Follow The Leader

Wisdom in the word's written below. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Follow the Leader

As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him. (NLT) -Mark 2:14

When you are struggling and feeling lost, remember that all Jesus requires is that we continue to follow Him. No matter the circumstances of our lives, God is faithful to gently call us toward Himself. Remain faithful to Him and He is always faithful to care for you, even in your darkest hour.

Least Of Them

Wisdom and truth written in the word's below. It matters.

God Bless.

Least of Them

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ (NLT) -Matthew 25:40

God cares about how we treat other people. While our salvation is a free gift, it is a gift that inspires us to show the love of God to others. How we do for the “least of these” has spiritual value! Social justice has the biggest impact on the marginalized groups in our communities. If we want to be those that show care for people in need we have to care about just the policies, systems, and actions that are common in our society. When we start seeing God’s heart for the needy, a passion to act, serve, love, and come alongside those in need should begin to well up in our hearts. Our God is one of action, seeing our needs, and calling us all to be people that show His love to our world.

The Holy Spirit Present

The words written below is so true. There is not enough emphasis on the Holy Spirit.

Maybe it is time we get back to the basics and restore Him to His rightful place. You know the place, leading, guiding, comforting, and showing us just who Jesus is.

God Bless.

The Holy Spirit: Present of Absent

In most Christian churches the Spirit is quite entirely overlooked. Whether He is present or absent makes no real difference to anyone. Brief reference is made to Him in the doxology and the benediction. Further than that He might as well not exist. Our neglect of the doctrine of the blessed Third Person has had and is having serious consequences. For doctrine is dynamite. It must have emphasis sufficiently sharp to detonate it before its power is released.

The doctrine of the Spirit is buried dynamite. Its power awaits discovery and use by the Church. The power of the Spirit will not be given to any mincing assent to pneumatological truth. The Holy Spirit cares not at all whether we write Him into our creeds in the back or our hymnals; He awaits our emphasis.

Lord, grant that I may not resist or doubt, and therefore grieve, Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Your The Gift

No greater words than what is written below.

May you find truth, encouragement, and the strength to keep fight the fight of faith for you are indeed worth it.

God Bless.

Your the Gift

Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. (NLT) -Philippians 1:3

You are a gift! Your life is not a mistake, it has a purpose and you being you has meaning. Sometimes, all it takes to be a blessing to others is just being ourselves. Being willing to share our silly sense of humor or maybe just being transparent about our struggles is all it takes to be a gift from God to another person. Don’t underestimate the impact of just be you today. You are God’s gift for those closest to you!

Quote Of The Day - It Doesn't Matter

Amen! I will say it again, Amen!

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“It doesn’t matter what the situation looks like around you; God is greater than any obstacle you may be facing. Don’t assume that where you’ve been, or where you are, is as good as it gets.”

Who Is Like

There are just some devotional's that speaks to your soul and makes you want to share the wealth. And yet, this is one of them. May you find the same encouragement as I did.

God Bless.

Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Inspiration

God alone is holy, awesome, and able to do wonders. Yet, we tend to idolize others. While we might not worship gods like those in the Old Testament, we still idolize those who are unworthy of our attention. For instance, have you ever worshipped a celebrity, a leader, or a friend? The only one deserving of our worship is God! He is holy - without sin and perfect in every way. He is fearful and awesome – he parted the Red Sea and sent the plagues. He works wonders – he created the heavens and the earth and performed countless miracles.

Prayer

Dear God, forgive me for worshipping other gods and idolizing those who are not you. You alone are worthy of worship. I know that no one on earth compares to you. When I am falling into idol worship, may I be reminded of your holiness. Fill me with fear and wonder when I seek your face. Draw me into your word where I can read about your awe-inspiring nature. Thank you, O Lord, for all your creation and your miraculous ways. In Jesus' name, amen.

Trust Him

Some food for thought.

Stay encouraged.

God Bless.

Trust Him!

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. - Psalm 37:5, NKJV

At times our understanding is limited. We simply have to trust our heavenly Father to know best. We have to trust God’s silences and respect God’s mysteries and wait for God’s answers.

When we pray for the healing of a loved one, and he dies . . .

When we pray for release from a financial burden, and we go bankrupt . . .

When we pray for reconciliation, and we are handed divorce papers . . .

When we pray for our career, and we get laid off . . .

When we pray for protection, and we are robbed . . .

We just have to trust Him. Trust Him. Trust Him!

Valued

We must start believing we have value. There is a reason as to why we are here on this earth.

May you find encouragement in the word's written below.

God Bless.

Valued

So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (NLT) -Matthew 10:31

You are valued. You are loved. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are not a mistake. Every person has been created in the image of God. We are made with such thoughtfulness, uniqueness, complexity, and we each have a God given purpose. Never forget that the God who made the Heavens also made you and loves you!
