Separate Us

Interesting little devotional.

God Bless.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Inspiration

Christ is always with us. There is no trial or tribulation that will take His love away. These verses are a great reminder for us when we face challenges. How can we fail with the infinite love of Jesus with us at all times? We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Now start to live like it!

Prayer

I am weak, my Lord. I have doubted Your love of me. My faith has wavered during difficult trials and obstacles, but You never left me. I thank you with all my heart for always being by my side, even though I do not deserve it. As with Jesus, I want to be so much more than a conqueror with You by my side, with the unwavering love of Jesus as my guide. I aim to serve You and it is in Your son's holy name I pray. Amen.

O Love The Lord

This...

God Bless.

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Inspiration

We can't identify as children of God if we don't love God. How do we love God? We express our love for God through our actions and the words we speak. When we obey His instructions, that is another way of showing we love Him. To be proud means to prefer our own guidance over God's word. When we are proud, we are bound to err because we won't be walking in the way God set out for us.

Prayer

Dear God, I pray that in all I do, may You see the love I have for You. May my thoughts, actions, and the words I speak be a reflection of the love I have for You. Father, may You keep me from being proud. I pray that I never think that my thoughts are above Your own. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Search Me

I have trust issues for sure and I am always in need of encouragement.

So, I am passing the wealth.

God Bless.

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. (NLT)" -Psalm 139:23

"Psalm 139 is a powerful and vulnerable prayer! Search me, invite God to know your heart. Test me, ask God to know the truth of what lies in your heart. What makes you anxious or afraid? Are you able to trust God with your most secret fears? Pray these words over your life and watch God invade the deepest parts of your heart. "

Trust Him

Food for thought!

I need more trust. Less being in my mind.

God Bless.

Trust Him!

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. - Psalm 37:5, NKJV

At times our understanding is limited. We simply have to trust our heavenly Father to know best. We have to trust God’s silences and respect God’s mysteries and wait for God’s answers.

When we pray for the healing of a loved one, and he dies . . .

When we pray for release from a financial burden, and we go bankrupt . . .

When we pray for reconciliation, and we are handed divorce papers . . .

When we pray for our career, and we get laid off . . .

When we pray for protection, and we are robbed . . .

We just have to trust Him. Trust Him. Trust Him!

The Shepherd's Care

Interesting little devotional.

God Bless.

The Shepherd’s Care
Scripture:

Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Example:

When you’re stressed or tired, remember Psalm 23:1-3. Take a walk, enjoy nature, or simply sit quietly in God’s presence, trusting that He is leading you beside still waters, refreshing your soul.

Reflection:

The Lord, our Shepherd, cares for us deeply, providing rest and restoration. In moments of stress, we can trust that He will guide us to places of peace and renewal.

Where do you need to be refreshed today?

Ask God to lead you to His still waters.

Sower

Another word of the day that made me do some thinking.

God Bless.

The Dictionary meaning of the Word “SOWER”

One who scatters or plants seed.

Bible References on the word “SOWER”

And as he sowed some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. Matthew 13:4-5.

A Prayer to Trust God.

Follow After Righteousness And Mercy

Love this.

God Bless.

He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

Inspiration

If you pursue good things, you will generally find good things. Good things happen to good people. The choice is simple and it is ours. What will you choose? Do what you know is right.

Prayer

Merciful and righteous God! I pray that You give me the foresight and strength to do what I know is right. I thank you for instilling a will inside of me to pursue wisdom and truth, as You have done for generations of Christians before me. Forgive me for the sins and wrong choices that I have made, and I wish with all my heart to forgive those that have wronged me. I love You, my Father in heaven, hallowed be Your holy name. Amen.

Rest As An Act Of Faith

Food for thought...

God Bless.

Rest as an Act of Faith
Scripture:

Hebrews 4:9-10

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from His.

Example:

When you feel guilty for taking time off or resting, remember Hebrews 4:9-10. Choose to rest in Jesus, trusting that your productivity doesn’t define your worth; your relationship with Him does.

Reflection:

Resting is not laziness; it’s an act of faith. It shows that we trust God enough to stop striving and allow Him to take care of us.

How can you build intentional moments of rest into your day, knowing that God is working on your behalf even when you're resting?

Quote Of The Day - We Are Never Going

Wisdom so I am just going to leave this right here.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“Here’s one of my favorite statements: We are never going to enjoy stability, we are never going to enjoy spiritual maturity until we learn how to do what’s right when it feels wrong, and every time you do what’s right by a decision of your will using discipline and self control to go beyond how you feel, the more painful it is in your flesh, the more you’re growing spiritually at that particular moment.”

Morning Sun

I found this interesting and thought provoking so I wanted to share.

God Bless.

The morning sun lit the eastern slopes of Horeb. The sheep seemed restless, and the shepherd scanned the perimeter for predators. Nothing.

He laid out his mat and reached into his satchel for a little cheese and bread. A tremor ran through the flock, and he stood to search the horizon again. Something was out there. A jackal, a wolf – what was that? Something caught his eye to the left at the base of the mountain ... a shepherd’s fire? No, this fire was bigger ... brighter somehow.

He strained to see if anyone was standing near, but he was quite alone. He reached for his staff, and began picking his way across the valley floor. The fire glowed brighter as the shepherd drew near. It was a bush somehow set aflame. He had seen smoke and fire on the slopes of Horeb before. He had watched the lightning ignite dry brush. From a distance he had viewed the campfires of shepherds, robbers, fugitives and traders. But he had never seen fire behave like this. He stepped closer when a voice called out of the bush, “Moses! Moses!” His strength left him and Moses whispered, “Here I am.”

After 40 years, God breathed new life into a dead dream. He still does that you know – if He can only get our attention.

It Is Easy

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

It is easy to take things for granted in this modern world. We can video chat with loved ones living thousands of miles away. We have good, effective treatment for many illnesses. Most of us do not have to labor in the fields for our food. Yet, these are relatively recent blessings provided by those who went before us.

Today’s reading is the second half of Peter’s long opening thanksgiving. Picking up on the theme of salvation, Peter reminds the church never to take for granted the privileged position we have. We live on the other side of Jesus Christ coming in the flesh, dying for our sin, rising again, and sending the Holy Spirit to indwell His people. Peter himself witnessed these events. As a disciple of Jesus for years, Peter was present at His trial and he saw the empty tomb. He was also there when the Holy Spirit came on believers at Pentecost (Acts 2). He does not want his readers to forget what a blessing it is to believe the gospel and be filled with the Spirit.

Even the most privileged people in the Old Testament—the prophets—did not have the same knowledge of God we have. The prophets carefully searched the Scriptures to try to understand when the Messiah would come (v. 10–11).

Peter tells us the “Spirit of Christ” directed the prophets to write about His future suffering and glory. Passages like Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, Zechariah 9:9–10 are examples. Although the prophets knew in general that the Messiah was coming, would suffer, and be glorified, they did not know the details. They were writing for the benefit of future believers who could be assured by their prophecies that Jesus is the Messiah (v. 12).

Think Of Ways

Something to think about.

God Bless.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. (NLT) -Hebrews 10:24

Do you know of someone who is down? Give your best effort to encourage them. A hot meal goes a long way to help someone who is depressed. Put yourself in their position and use gentle words to build them up. Take a moment to thoughtfully encourage your friend. Reviving their spirit enables them to be their lovable selves again.

Frustration

Oh yeah! I feel this.

God Bless.

Frustration is like an unheard scream in the night. Depression follows close behind. There is something about impossibility wrapped up in inertia that moves us to anger and tears.

I know what I’m talking about. I’m living there right now. I’m white-knuckled and weary. I am faced with a limitation I cannot exceed. I’m like a pyromaniac in a petrified forest. I strike the match, but there’s nothing to burn. One minute I want to charge – the next minute I want to leave.

Knowing the right answer doesn’t always make the pain go away – and the pain of frustration spreads to the joints and marrow of life. Elijah’s frustration cut so deep, he wanted to die. That helps me gain a bit of perspective. He had been to the mountaintop and called down fire and rain. He had pronounced judgment and carried out executions. He had sent a message to the very core of Ahab and Jezebel’s dynasty – and for what? The same people stayed in office and Jezebel conspired to send out a posse. “Kill me Lord!” he cried.
I guess I’m not so bad off after all. God was faithful to Elijah, and God will be faithful to me, and you. We would do well to stop looking at our troubles and start listening for His voice.

The First Prayer

I can relate and I wanted to share.

God Bless.

The first prayer of Habakkuk reveals his heart with a stark honesty. “How long?”

Have you ever prayed that prayer? Have you wept as you’ve cried out to God over a lost loved one, stubbornly resistant to the Gospel?

Can you relate to the prophet with the strange name? His frustration with injustice and violence is heightened by the seeming absence of God. It’s the cry of the falsely accused; the question that haunts us when dying is painful and slow; a longing that aches in silence: “O Lord, how long?”

In times like these we need to be reminded that Jehovah never sleeps nor slumbers. He is never idle, absent, ignorant, ambivalent, or insensitive. The veil of mystery that shrouds His way is often unlifted. His purposes, though perfect, are often obscured and impervious; they are also glorious.

Nobody understood the cross when Jesus died. Yet in that dark hour, the greatest gift was given; the greatest love displayed. God answers Habakkuk (v.5): “Look among the nations and watch – Be utterly astonished! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.”

What is God doing in the midst of your suffering? You probably wouldn’t believe it if He told you.

Principles

Throwing this out there.

God Bless.

Today's Quotation:

When principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day, then battle is your calling, and peace has become sin; you must, at the price of dearest peace, lay your convictions bare before friend and enemy, with all the fire of your faith.

Abraham Kuyper

Today's Meditation:

It can be hard to always follow what we know to be true. Sometimes it means being laughed at... sometimes it means financial loss... and sometimes it brings with it an unwanted form of hardship. But being true to our principles is what offers us our peace. Without doing so, our character and integrity will falter, and our peace in life will fail us. It is in these times, that Abraham implores us to go into battle, to fight for our beliefs, and to be true to ourselves "with all the fire of our faith."

However, the line between conviction and stubbornness seems to blur all the time. We often see someone standing for what they believe in less as a sign of strong character and more as a sign of close-mindedness. So how are we best able to discern the difference between the two? The answer lies in recognizing what is truly the truth, and what is merely something that we currently believe--something that is subject to change.

An inspirational story of personal conviction is that of Rachel Joy Scott--the first victim of the Columbine High School Massacre. Reports said that one of the gunmen, after having first shot Rachel in her leg, picked her up by her hair and asked her if she still believed in God, and that she had answered, "You know I do." Her response provoked a second, fatal shot to her head at point-blank range. The thing to note is that she stood up for what she knew was true in her heart--a quality of a person with conviction, and not a sign of close-mindedness or stubbornness.

Our convictions are strongest when we have doubt, yet overcome that doubt. I would even go further and say that they are strongest when we have fear, yet overcome the fear--for being afraid of the results of standing up for what you believe in, and doing so in spite of those results, is an absolute sign of fortitude, integrity, and strength of will.

What am I willing to stand up for? On the day I die, I have a feeling that I will be more concerned about the things that I stood up for than about the things that held little interest in.

Today's Challenge: Reclaim some internal peace today by standing up for your principles.

Questions to consider:

What are some of your personal truths that have changed over time?

In what ways can being a man of principle affect the peace in your life?

If you had a major ethical dilemma at work, could you leave your job even if it meant significant financial loss?

For further thought:

The relationship between commitment and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is healthiest when it is not without doubt, but in spite of doubt.

God's Power

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

Daily Affirmation Devotional

Christian Channel
God’s Power
Today : God’s Power

TODAY’S VERSE
“I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.” I Corinthians 2:4-5 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
We like to move toward balance. Homeostasis, a relatively stable state of equilibrium, seems to work in many systems. But sometimes that is not the best move. Balance is good if you want to have normalcy. But many times, if you want to reach worthwhile goals, you have to unbalance a few things. Does the professional athlete balance his or her practice time to other activities? No, they are consumed with their sport and devote many hours to that single pursuit. Sooner or later, if you are going to excel at something, you must become a little unbalanced. Paul was trying to share Jesus with people groups that never heard of Christ before. He was starting churches from scratch and he learned that the spiritual life must not be balanced with worldly wisdom. You need to have a radical dependence on God for mighty things, if you are going to see His Kingdom come. Sure you need to ask for wisdom, but you should also ask for spiritual discernment. You need to move in faith and hope in the spiritual realm, not logic and theory in the earthly. Today, what are you depending on God’s power for? What are you trusting the Holy Spirit to accomplish in and through you? Paul trusted in the power of God, today, do the same.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I must confess that many times conventional wisdom tells me to move in one direction, when I know I should trust You for greater things. Lord, I want my life to make a difference. I want to see Your kingdom come as a result of Your Holy Spirit’s guidance in my life. Lead me, use me, I pray.
AMEN

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I am trusting God for great things
Picture yourself called of God to be His disciple. See yourself on a mission to do His will. You sense that He wants you to trust Him. Feel faith build in your heart as you affirm, “I am trusting God for great things.”

Bible Name of God : A SOWER

A SOWER

Matt 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; — Matt 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

The Seed is the Word of God. God’s Son sowed the Good Seed. He soweth the Word of Truth in the hearts of men. When we sow the Gospel we sow Good Seed. When we give out the Living-Word of God we are sowing Good Seed. Nothing is comparable to the Living-Word itself. It has potential power. It is a Living Seed and never fails. We are to imitate our Lord, the Sower, and see that the pure Seed of the Living-Word is scattered, Alive, wherever we go. “Sow beside all waters.” (Isa 32:20)

Lord, make me a Seed-sower this day, and hear my prayer for all the sowers in the world. Amen.

Unlimited supply, that is My Law. Oh! the unlimited Supply, and oh! the poor, blocked channels! Will you feel this, that there is no limit to My Power?

But man asks, and blasphemes in asking, such poor mean things. Do you not see how you wrong Me? I desire to give you a gift, and if you are content with the poor, and the mean, and the sordid, then you are insulting Me, the Giver.

“Ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.” How I can fulfill the promise is My Work, not yours, to consider … Have a big Faith, and expect big things, and you will get big things.Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3

The Earth

Felt this in my bones and wanted to share.

God Bless.

"The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. (NLT)" -Psalm 24:1

"All the Earth is the Lord’s. He knows how many stars are in the Heavens, how many clouds fill the skies, and He also knows you too! Nothing that happens in our world comes as a surprise to the Lord. When we feel unsure about the future, be reminded that God cares for this world, and He will take care of you. "

In Christ

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

"For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. (NLT)" -2 Corinthians 5:19

"God is a stranger to sin and it's something He cannot be around. Jesus lived and died to bring us back to God by taking responsibility for our sin. Our sins are no longer counted against us and we can be in relationship with God! This is a beautiful message of grace, mercy, and forgiveness. When we understand the importance of this message, it's natural to encourage others to embrace the harmony they can have with God. Have you found your personal way of sharing this message with others?"

White Flowers

Wisdom.

God Bless.

Be Confident in Who God Made You
Joyce Meyer –
1 min read

White flowers sitting on an open Bible ready for reading a daily devotional.
Adapted from Starting Your Day Right

My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].

 Psalm 139:15 (AMPC)
Have you ever asked God, “Why did You make me this way?” Sometimes the things that we think are our worst faults, God will use to His greatest glory: But who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God? Will what is formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus? (Romans 9:20 AMPC).

Jesus died so that we might enjoy our life in abundance and to the fullest until it overflows. You are not going to enjoy your life if you don’t enjoy yourself. Be satisfied with yourself and celebrate the unique way God made you.

Prayer of the Day: Lord, help me accept and appreciate how You created me. Teach me to trust Your purpose for my life and to celebrate who I am in You, amen.

No Shortcuts

I found so much interesting things to think about in this little devotional and wanted to share.

God Bless.

Today's Quotation:

No shortcut to wisdom. No tollways to be wise.

Toba Beta

Today's Meditation:

Wisdom does not necessarily come with age, nor does it come from having a whole world of information at our fingertips; wisdom cannot be bought, nor can it be willed upon another. Wisdom can only be gained through our own discovery--through trial, error, and our eventual understanding.

Neither is wisdom complex, rather it is breathtaking in its simplicity. It is not having the answers for everything--for it is often wiser to allow others to find their own answers and merely be a fellow traveller and guide. To be wise, we cannot take any shortcuts--we have to travel the paths before us, as these are the paths where wisdom will be found. We cannot just know things--we have to understand them and the principles behind them. Furthermore, once we reach a deeper understanding of the things we are able to, we must then share that understanding with others, or else the wisdom gained will be for naught.

Do not seek "shortcuts to wisdom." Instead, seek wisdom in the experiences you face each day of your life. And do not feel you are wise because you know more than someone else--quantity is not equivalent to quality. Instead, seek a greater understanding of the things you do know, and then share them with others in your life.

Today's Challenge: Take a moment to gain some deeper understanding of a recent experience in your life.

Questions to consider:

In what ways are you truly wise?

How can you grow to be even wiser?

In which ways are you most effective in sharing your wisdom?

For further thought:

When you are able to know the right thing, you are intelligent. But when you choose that right thing to do, you are wise. This means people can get money, education, marriage, and good health and not get wisdom. Wisdom is the number one gift for a Godly success.

Trusting Jesus

Love this!

God Bless.

Trusting Jesus Over Our Own Efforts
Scripture:

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Example:

When a problem at home or work feels out of control, instead of trying to fix it all yourself, pray and hand it over to God, trusting in Proverbs 3:5-6. Let God direct your path rather than relying solely on your own understanding.

Reflection:

Trusting God requires surrender—letting go of our need to control outcomes. When we lean on our own efforts, we often feel exhausted and frustrated. But when we trust in God's wisdom, He leads us in the right direction.

Where in your life do you need to stop relying on yourself and start trusting Jesus?

Laying Down Distractions

Another good one!

God Bless.

Laying Down Distractions
Scripture:

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Example:

If you find yourself constantly checking your phone or distracted by social media, choose to put it aside for a while. Use that time to read a verse or quietly reflect on God’s love. Like Mary, choose to be fully present with Jesus.

Reflection:

Distractions can keep us from focusing on what truly matters in our relationship with God.

What are the distractions in your life that hinder your time with Jesus?

Today, ask Him to help you let go of those distractions so that you can fully experience His presence.

What practical steps can you take to limit distractions and prioritize Jesus?

God Works For You

I found this little devotional interesting and I wanted to share it.

God Bless.

Solid Joys

God Works for You

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

Psalm 121:1–3
Do you need help? I do. Where do you look for help?

When the psalmist lifted up his eyes to the hills and asked, “From where does my help come?” he answered, “My help comes from the Lord” — not from the hills, but from the God who made the hills. “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

So, he reminded himself of two great truths: One is that God is a mighty Creator over all the problems of life; the other is that God never sleeps. “He who keeps you will not slumber.”

God is a tireless worker. He never wearies. Think of God as a worker in your life. Yes, it is amazing. We are prone to think of ourselves as workers in God’s life. But the Bible wants us first to be amazed that God is a worker in our lives: “From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who works for those who wait for him” (Isaiah 64:4).

God is working for us around the clock. He does not take days off and he does not sleep. In fact he is so eager to work for us that he goes around looking for more work to do for people who will trust him: “The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).

God loves to show his tireless power and wisdom and goodness by working for people who trust him. The sending of his Son, Jesus, was the main way the Father showed this: “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:45). Jesus works for his followers. He serves them. The gospel is not a “help wanted” sign. It is a “help available” sign.

This is what we must believe — really believe — in order to “rejoice always” (1 Thessalonians 5:16) and “[give] thanks always and for everything” (Ephesians 5:20) and have “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7), and “not be anxious about anything” (Philippians 4:6), and hate our lives “in this world” (John 12:25), and “love [our] neighbor as [ourselves]” (Matthew 22:39).

What a truth! What a reality! God is up all night and all day to work for those who wait for him.

Choosing Rest

Love, love this.

God Bless.

Choosing Rest Over Worry
Scripture:

Matthew 6:31-33

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Example:

When finances or future plans make you anxious, instead of spiraling into worry, practice what Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:31-33. Trust that God will provide what you need, and spend time thanking Him for His faithfulness.

Reflection:

Worry is often a sign that we are trying to carry burdens on our own. Jesus invites us to seek Him first, trusting that He knows our needs and will provide. Today, instead of letting worry take over, focus on seeking Jesus and resting in His care.

How can you surrender your anxieties to Him and trust Him with your future?

Busyness

Leaving this right here.

God Bless.

Busyness vs. Being
Scripture:

Psalm 46:10

He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’

Example:

When your to-do list feels never-ending, pause, breathe, and reflect on Psalm 46:10—"Be still and know that I am God." Instead of rushing through the day, take a quiet moment in prayer or meditation, focusing on God’s presence.

Reflection:

In a world that constantly demands action, it can be difficult to pause and simply "be." Yet, it is in stillness that we can truly connect with God, hear His voice, and gain clarity.

Today, take a few moments to slow down, release the pressure to always be productive, and remember that God is with you. His presence brings peace, even in the midst of a busy day.

Where can you make room for stillness today, trusting that God is in control?

I must Not Fear

I needed this and wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless

Today's Quotation:

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Frank Herbert, Dune

Today's Meditation:

As Frank says, "I must not fear." I should choose to face my fears, to experience them and then pass them by... but I must not allow fear to exist as a determining factor within my mind. If I am able to do so, my fear will no longer exist, its purpose expired, it will fade away, and "only I will remain."

Control in our life is ours. Sure, I can choose to live my life in a way that allows fear to rule me--I can pass over opportunities that lie before me; I can harken down the worn paths avoiding any unexpected journeys; I can even choose to spend my life accumulating material things for myself. But the question I must then ask myself is this: "Will I be happy with the way my life is going to turn out if I continue to live it this way?"

Peace and happiness come to us from a life lived beyond the fears that keep us locked on an island by ourselves. We find them through the journeys we experience, in the bonds of humanity that we build and embrace with compassion and love, and in the deepness of value and worth we come to find in our lives.

Fear really is a "little-death" that ceaselessly feeds us from the stagnant waters of misery and frustration. It wants to control us; and if we let it, it will leave us isolated and alone. Yet if we face our fears each day, little by little our mind will become clearer. And at the end, the fear will be gone... and only we will remain.

Today's Challenge: Fearlessly engage yourself in the life around you today.

Questions to consider:

Can you think of ways in which fear has determined your actions in certain situations?

How do things turn out when you obey your fear instead of your conscience?

By overcoming our fears, where have they gone? Where are we?

For further thought:

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.

Paulo Coelho

The Better Part

Food for thought.

God Bless.

The Better Part
Scripture:

Luke 10:38-42

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Example:

When you feel overwhelmed with tasks at work, like Martha, take a moment to pray and ask Jesus for guidance. Just as Mary chose to sit at Jesus’ feet, remind yourself to prioritize time with Him, even in the middle of a busy day.

Reflection:

It's easy to be consumed by what needs to be done, but Jesus calls us to something greater—time with Him. Like Mary, choose the better part by intentionally pausing to focus on Jesus. In His presence, you will find rest and clarity.

Are you prioritizing time with Jesus in your day?

How can you set aside time to be at His feet today?

If A Man Say

This...

Something to think about.

God Bless.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Inspiration

Holding hate in your heart for ANYONE and claiming that you love God is impossible. We are taught to love our neighbors, our enemies, God, and last but not least, ourselves. How can we love ourselves and hold hate towards another person? Jesus lived his life and showed us how to live ours. Through words, thoughts, and actions, we must pursue a life of love, not hate.

Prayer

I love you, my God. I want to know this at every moment, spreading Your love through my own words and actions. Forgive me for holding hate in my heart for others, and help me amend the hateful words and actions that I have said and done. I ask that You help me love all around me and myself, in a way that You find holy. Amen.

Whereby

This....

God Bless.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Inspiration

Promises have been made and kept to us. We were given the gift of potential everlasting life. All we must do is to avoid the temptations of Satan, the sins of this finite world. It sounds so simple when the reward is eternal life, but as we all know, it is much easier said than done.

Prayer

I vow to always worship You, O Lord, and rejoice in Your name. Forgive me for my many transgressions for I have sinned. I pray that You help deliver me from this evil, hardening my heart to the evils of this world. Through Your glory, I know that all things are possible, gracious Lord, my rock and strength. Amen.

Not Punishment

Not Punishment

I will guide your efforts. You are not being punished for past sins. Take My Words, revealed to you each day from the beginning, and do in all things as I say. I have been showing you the way. You have not obeyed Me in this.

I have a plan that can only in this way be revealed. So rarely do I find two souls in union who want only My Will, and only to serve Me. The union is miracle-working.

I have told you that I am longing to use you. Long ago My world would have been brought to Me, had I been served by many such two souls. It was always “two and two.”

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

God Is My Helper

Daily Affirmation Devotional

by Christian Channel
God Is My Helper
Today : God Is My Helper

TODAY’S VERSE
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6 (NIV)

TODAY’S MESSAGE
Have you ever said anything with confidence? It is different than saying “I think so,” “Perhaps,” “Maybe” or “We’ll see.” Confidence connotes a certainty, an assurance that what we believe is true. Because we believe in a God that will never forsake us, a heavenly Father who will never abandon us, we can have confidence that this same God is our helper, our strength, our shield, our shelter in the storm, our rock of ages, our mighty fortress, our protector, our hope, our Savior. Yes, we can say with confidence, “Today, I will not be afraid!”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank You, Mighty God, that You have chosen to be my helper. You have reached down to me and have assured me that You care, that You will always have my soul in Your hand. I thank You with a confidence in my heart that what You say is true and every thought, fear, apprehension and doubt that stands against this confidence is a lie. I accept Your help today. I will trust You and not be afraid. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God is my helper! I will not be afraid.
You are on a boat and it begins to rock. It is going side to side. Water starts to flood the boat. The waves are taller, the wind is fierce and you begin to fear for your life. Then Jesus comes and says, “Peace, be still” and the waves stop. The clouds go away and the boat is still. You sense such a relief and suddenly you notice, all fear is gone. Likewise see Jesus alive and helping you in all your circumstances. See Him bringing you peace over and over again. Affirm, “God is my helper, I will not be afraid!”

“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5

Don't Get Sidetracked

I am guilty of this, and I know I need to get back on track.

So be encouraged.

God Bless.

Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. (NLT) -Proverbs 4:27

There are a lot of things that are competing for our attention. Each one of us has a mission on earth and we are to care for one another. Be vigilant to not allow distractions to get you off course. When we wander off course it is even more tempting to take up activities and habits that are dishonoring to God. Don't get sidetracked from your calling.

God Wants You

Something to think about.

God Bless.

Daily Devotionals

GOD WANTS YOU

GOD WANTS YOU

Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (NKJV) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

God wants you! That is right. God wants you to have an intimate relationship with Him. He does not want just one part of you; He wants all of you. Think of what you get in return. You get a fellowship with the Creator, the One that made you and me! He wants all of us so that we can have all of Him. Now when I say all, I know that God is so huge that it is not possible for any of us to have all of Him, but He wants us to have all that we can handle of Him.

This verse tells us that God wants us to love Him with all of our heart, and all of our soul, and all of our strength. Well, that is all of us, so my Father wants all of me. He loves me so dearly that He wants the complete person, and even with all of my shortcomings and all of my distractions, the Creator of the universe loves me and wants all of me.

I am overwhelmed, at times, by the love God has for me. The Creator of all, (Who does not need anything because He is so complete) loves me so dearly that He wants me to love Him, and this is all because of Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, He took all of my shame and my separation from the Father. He did it so that I could be totally restored to Abba.

This is so over-the-top that it is hard for our little minds to take it in, but this is where we must receive it by faith and not by our feelings. In other words, if God says that He loves me this intensely, then I am going to live life just like it is so.

So today, do not look at your shortcomings, look to Jesus’ perfection, and know that the Father sees you just like that: complete and totally loved!

CONFESSION: I love the Lord my God with all of my heart, all of my soul, and all of my strength. God is truly in love with me, and I am truly in love with Him!

I Will Guide You

Wholeheartedly agree!

And add a amen!

God Bless.

"The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. (NLT)" -Psalm 32:8

"Life is confusing! If you try to follow the advice of this world, you will feel like you are running around in circles. What we need is not another self-help program but we need wisdom that only comes from the Lord. He promises to instruct us when we surrender our lives over to him. He will show us the way to go and keep his watchful eye on our steps. \n"

I Have Told You

I believe this but I also understand just how hard this is to accomplish.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

" I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (NLT)" -John 16:33

"We have to stay grounded in the following truth: God is our peace, our provision, he gives us the strength to love those we see as our enemies, we can trust in him alone, and the primary mission of our lives is to seek God first. This can help us navigate the difficult spaces in our culture with peace, wisdom, and love. When we keep it simple and focus on loving God and loving others, it is in these small acts of faithful obedience that God can do miracles."

The Fear Of God

This bares repeating.

God Bless.

There is in the Bible a "fear of God" that is holy reverance and a desire to avoid offending him or suffering his judgment or discipline. That kind of fear is compatible with love and helps us depart from iniquity. But faithless fear, of man, of life events, or of God based on false ideas, is incompatible with love of God.There is in the Bible a "fear of God" that is holy reverance and a desire to avoid offending him or suffering his judgment or discipline. I Have Come

Leaving it right here.

God Bless.

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. - John 10:10, NKJV

There is more to life . . .

than being healthy,

than being happy,

than being problem free,

than being comfortable,

than feeling good, than getting what we want,

than being healed.

There is more to life even than living!

And the “more to life” is the development of our faith to the extent that our very lives display God’s glory!

Jesus does not protect those He loves from bad things happening but uses bad things to fulfill His greater plan. He is glad, not that we suffer, but that we have the opportunity to grow in our faith and display His glory, which is the fulfillment of the very purpose for our existence. Don’t settle for less than more!

The Power Of God

Amen!

God Bless

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power\n20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. (NLT) -Ephesians 1:19-20

"The power of God is what keeps Christians going! When we are tired or when we are unsure what to do, it’s time to tap into the power of God. His grace is sufficient to meet all our needs. No matter what you are facing, God has the power to carry you through it. \n"

I have the feeling that we are in such a hurry that we do not have time to look at one another and smile.

Can You Make

Something to think about.

God Bless.

Can you make lightning appear and cause it to strike as you direct? (NLT) -Job 38:35

God is so powerful that he commands the lighting. It’s easy to feel that we are the boss of our own lives. We so quickly can move from a posture of humble surrender to our creator to taking matters in our own hands. God reminds Job that we are to regard God with humble hearts.

Recognizing his authority and power. Do you need to let go and start trusting the God who holds all of Creation in his hands? Pray a prayer of surrender to the Lord today. \n
