My Name

Wisdom.

God Bless.

My Name

You haven't done this before. Ask using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. (NLT) -John 16:24

When you meet someone and want to get to know them the first thing you learn is their name. We now have the freedom to approach God directly and call Him, personally, by name. And it's not just an ordinary name, but a powerful one. When we call out Christ's name in faith, we are calling on a force greater than ourselves who provides joy.

God Knows

I am holding on to this.

I am so very grateful He hasn't let me go and looks at the heart while seeing who I want to be.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

God Knows Your Faithfulness

God sees your faithfulness. He sees everything you do that is good and right. Every time you choose not to sin, every time you resist temptation, every time you take a stand because of God's Truth, he sees your faithfulness to Him.

The Bible says every good deed will be rewarded, no matter how insignificant and regardless of whether anybody else on earth sees it. Imagine yourself on a giant stage and you're the only person on that stage. You're acting out your life. In the audience there is only one person and it's God. He's out there clapping and saying, "I see that good thing you just did. Keep on going! Nobody else saw it, but I saw it." You may be thinking, "I've been trying to do the right thing in my marriage. I don't see any results. I've been trying to be the right kind of person and respond correctly with my kids or to my parents. I've been trying to do the right thing at work or at school. And I don't know if it's paying off. I don't see it making any difference in anyone's life." God says, "I see it, and it doesn't matter who else sees it." Nothing good we ever do is ever done in vain. God sees it all.

No Payback

This.

Something to give some thought too.

God Bless.

No Payback

And don’t say, “Now I can pay them back for what they’ve done to me! I’ll get even with them!” (NLT) -Proverbs 24:29

Payback is the way our world executes justice but this is not God’s way. He is the only one with the ability to fairly judge the hearts of men and women. We are called to trust him to work on our behalf when we have been hurt by another person. This does not mean that we keep putting ourselves in an unsafe situation but it does mean that we lay down our right to “payback” those in our lives that have done us wrong.

A Precious Stone

He is worthy!

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

A Precious Stone

“Behold, I lay in Sion a Chief Corner Stone, … precious.” 1 Peter 2:6

How precious He is! The more we know about Him the more wonderful He becomes, and the more intimately we know Him the more precious He is. “To whom coming as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God and precious.” Not precious to the world, for the world has no place, no use for Him; but “unto you who believe He is precious.” He is the Creator. He holds the world in the hollow of His hand as a dry leaf and could crush it. But He so loved you and me that He laid aside His royal robe, arrayed Himself in human flesh, and then poured out His precious blood for us. Should He not be precious to us?

Lord, we desire in our hearts to hold Thee precious. Holy Spirit, help us. Amen.

Keep On Keeping On

I just wanted to give you some encouragement.

God Bless.

Keep On Keeping On
Today : Keep On Keeping On

TODAY’S VERSE
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
I have probably fought with this passage more than any other portion of scripture. How many times have I had to pray over situations that seemed impossible without God’s intervention? Overcoming mental anguish, living in poverty wondering how the bills were going to be paid, facing a near fatal illness of a loved one, rebuilding a failing relationship, seeking direction when I didn’t have a clue what to do. I am sure you can add your own experiences to this list. And so you find your self before God praying. Nothing happens so you pray again and again. After a while you begin to wonder, “God are You there?” That soon turns to, “God do You care?” There is a saying that the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. And that is how you feel. You start to doubt and then God brings you back to this passage. You read with tears in your eyes, “Keep on asking”, “Keep on seeking”, “Keep in knocking”. So you have to make a choice. Is this insanity or is it faith? There is a huge difference. The difference is God. God is in the picture so every time we pray we know that the God who is able to do all that we ask is there. He cares and He hears our prayers. He knows our situation and has not abandoned us. Because we have prayed He is moved. And so we keep on keeping on. We live by faith, we ask by faith and many times we have to wait by faith. But it is faith in the God who is there. The God who knows. The God who cares. So today, let us again hang on to His promise, “Everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I come to You in faith. I come asking, seeking and knocking. I come in faith believing that everyone who asks, receives, everyone who seeks, finds and to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
AMEN

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
Because He Is God, I will keep on asking, seeking and knocking
Picture yourself in a very difficult situation. Feel the stress building up. See yourself praying, asking God for favor. The situation doesn’t seem to change so you ask again. Feel your faith start to wane. Again, again, you keep knocking on the door of Heaven. You begin to feel despair, so you check your heart. In that moment you sense His presence. He is there, He cares, He will not leave you. Assured and renewed you affirm, “Because He Is God, I will keep on asking, seeking and knocking.”

Love Others

Here is something to ponder on.

God Bless.

Love Others
Today : Love Others

TODAY’S VERSE
“While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and ‘sinners’ came and ate with him and his disciples.” Matthew 9:10 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
So often we forget that God loves all of mankind. Jesus came and exemplified this. We get so caught up in our Churches, small groups and Bible studies that we can’t remember how to relate to everyday normal people. But Jesus expects us to be good neighbors. He desires that we share His love with those that don’t know what it is like. The Pharisees did not understand. They were offended that He ate with “sinners.” In response to their distain Jesus said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” There are people all around us in need. Broken hearts, addictions, depressed, lonely, angry, poor, hungry. Wonderful people needing someone to stop and show mercy and love. Someone to invite them in and eat with them. Someone to be their friend. God has called you and I to be that someone. Today let Jesus love someone through you. Look around and ask God who He wants you to befriend.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your mercy in my life. Help me go and give the same to others. Help me love others the way You do. Open my eyes to see those around me the way You do. Help me Lord to love like You do. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I seek to love others the way Jesus did
Visualize yourself with Jesus. You watch Him love those around you and you don’t get it. There isn’t a connection. Compassion, concern, empathy all seems to be missing. You cry out to Jesus, “Help me see what you see.” He turns and asks you to shut your eyes. You shut them and He places His hand on your head. You feel a warmth flood your soul. He says, “Open your eyes.” When you do, you feel this wave of compassion come over you. You see those around you as dear cherished human beings. You sense the overwhelming love that God has. You begin to feel a burden and pray asking Jesus that He would show you what to do. Today as you refocus your vision of others, affirm, “I seek to love others the way Jesus did!”

That's about as good as it gets.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“To get the victory and keep our attitude one of hope, we need to renew our mind to God’s promises concerning our situation and stand in faith, believing God will do what His Word says He will do.”

Becoming A God First

Food for thought.

God Bless.

Becoming a "God-first' Believer "Me-first' believers ask, "How can God make my life more comfortable?" They want to use God for their purposes instead of being used for his purposes. "God-first' believers know they've been saved to serve and made for mission.

They're eager to receive a personal assignment and excited about the privilege of being used by God. Their joy, confidence, and enthusiasm are contagious because they know they're making a difference. They wake up each morning expecting God to work through them in fresh ways. Which type of believer do you want to be? God invites you to participate in the greatest, largest, most diverse, and most significant cause in history - building his Kingdom. History is his story; he's building his family for eternity. Nothing matters more and nothing will last as long. From the book of Revelation we know God's global mission will be accomplished, that someday the Great Commission will be the Great Completion.

In heaven, an enormous crowd of people "from every race, tribe, nation, and language" will one day stand before Jesus Christ to worship him. (Revelation 7:9 CEV)

Hunger

Oh, I feel this little devotional.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." (Luke 6:35)

Devotional

Have you ever had a craving for something, to the point that it almost caused you pain because you wanted it so badly? No matter what you tried to satisfy the craving, nothing else sufficed?God wants us to desire righteousness in this manner. We should be obsessed with doing the right thing for the sake of pleasing God. Nothing in the world should pacify the intensity of this craving. Has your desire for God ever slipped? Stimulate your desire for Him again with praise for His goodness during times of personal worship in His Word. He will fill you He will fill your hunger and thirst.
