There is just soooooooooooo much that can be said. But I'm going to choose a couple of verse. I'll start with verse 24. He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly. You have to be a parent. You can't be there friends. Friendship comes when your job of teaching them the way to go is over. Until the age of accountablity, you must parent. Show them the way. Show them right from wrong. When do you start? Now. As soon as possible. As soon as they come out of the womb. If not, there is going to be a mess on your hands. Trust me, I know, and now that she's older, correcting her becomes a nightmare because what you should have done at the beginning will be harder to do at the end.
Besides, you want them to be a tree of life. You want them to be wise as the fountain that has no end. Most of all you want them to have good understanding so favor can be upon them. You want them to be in position to have the wealth of the sinners be poured out on your child.
So my advice to you today, is be a parent...one that walks by example. One that walks with God.
