One Day

This is a great way to start the new year out with the mindset that one day we will see Him.

God Bless.

“One Day

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words… 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, Berean Study Bible.

Years ago, I had a dream that I was standing outside in an open field, and as I looked up at the sky, I began to go up in the air. As I went up, I could sense my Father smiling. The only thing on my mind was I finally get to see Him face to face. The only thing I was thinking about was finally I get to see the One who had been with me all this time. Nothing else mattered.

I know you've been in the trenches, trying your hardest not to lose heart. You're trying to hold on until the end, and it's been an unbelievable fight. God knows, and He promises as we wait on Him, looking forward to His return, we will receive renewed strength, and we will mount up with wings as an eagle. Waiting on God causes us to run and not get weary; to walk and not faint (see Isaiah 40:31).

Take a moment each day to think about eternity with the Father. There will be no more tears and no more pain. One day, you will see Him face to face. You will enter into His rest and see His glory. My husband imagines that he will find a tree somewhere and sit down next to it–taking it all in. I imagine myself running straight into the arms of Jesus!

What do you imagine yourself doing? I want to know.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for giving me new strength as I wait on you. Spending eternity with you sometimes seem far away, but I know it's closer than I think. Help me to finish the work you've given me to do on earth. And when life gets hard as it often does, help me to think about all that awaits me in eternity with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Quote Of The Day - You Have To

Amen!

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“you have to realize that you don’t have someone else’s life and your never going to. You better start loving the one you got. Embrass the life you have and stop wishing that you could be someone else. Just stop all that and start saying “God here I am. Do what you want to do with me”.”

Lord, Give Me More

Some food for thought as we end the year.

God Bless.

Lord, Give Me More
Today : Lord, Give Me More

TODAY’S VERSE
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1:2 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Life is a learning curve. The more you try something, the more challenging it becomes. Rock climbing a small wall takes little skill and strength but as you attempt more challenging climbs, your need for skill and strength increases. Likewise in our Christian walk, the longer we live, the more relationships we have with all their complexities. The more responsibilities we have with their ever increasing demands. The more challenging life becomes, the more grace and peace we need. The more we need spiritual knowledge about God. Today ask God for more. Ask Him for more grace. Ask Him for more peace. Ask Him to increase your knowledge and understanding of who He is. Might your prayer be, “More Lord, give me more.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I need more. I need more of Your grace. I need more of Your peace. I need more knowledge of who You are and what Your will is for me. Help me, Lord, as I earnestly seek You. I desire more.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I want more of God’s grace and peace
Picture God giving you peace. You are sitting alone sensing His presence and His peace fills your heart. But as you sit there, God says, “I have more for you.” Feel your unbelief. Sense your hesitancy. But then you say, “Yes, Lord, give me more. Give me more of Your grace and more of Your peace. And He does. Sit and imagine how much peace and grace God can give you. Bask in the anticipation of what that peace and grace would be. When you have thought about it say, “Yes, Lord, I want more of God’s grace and peace.”

Hope OF His People

He is our only hope! He is everything we need.

God Bless.

Bible Name of God : THE HOPE OF HIS PEOPLE

THE HOPE OF HIS PEOPLE

Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. {hope: Heb. place of repair, or, harbour}

Blessed Lord, Thou who art the Hope of Israel and OUR Hope, — blessed Hope, — our expectation centers in Thee. Our Hope for happiness is in Thee. Thou art the HEART of our anticipation, for we long to see Thee — Thy pierced hands and feet! Thou art our help in every time of trouble, — unfailing help! We lean upon Thee. Thou are our HOME for we can find no place of rest apart from Thee. Thou art our HOST, and we know that Thou wilt be at the door to welcome us. Thou art our HEAVEN, for there could be no Heaven without Thee.

Dear Lord, our Hope is built upon nothing less, than on Thy Blood and Righteousness. Hold us always to this Hope. Amen.

Sanctification

There are just times when I come across something that really speak to me and this little devotional is one of them.

Food for thought.

God Bless.

Sanctification

“But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us…sanctification.” 1 Cor. 1:30

To be “sanctified” is to be “separated” -“set apart.” We could never be sanctified by our own efforts, for we are absolutely helpless save as He becomes all things to us. We are in Christ Jesus and what He is, we are, and what He has, we share. We are nothing. He is everything. May we see ourselves in Christ Jesus. He has set us apart to be His representatives in a lost world. In every act and deed we represent Him.

Lord, today, may the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable unto Thee. Amen.

Recognize

Food for thought!!!

God Bless.

Prayer Quote of the day

Let us recognize this one thing: burden is the secret of prayer. If a person does not feel within him burden to pray for a particular matter he can hardly succeed in prayer. In a prayer meeting some brothers and sisters may mention a great many subjects for prayer. But if you are not touched inwardly, you cannot pray.

Quote Of The Day - When You Feel

Say Thank You

So good...

God Bless.

Say “Thank You”

Adapted from the resource Hearing from God Each Morning - by Joyce Meyer

2 MIN READ

Thanksgiving should be a regular part of our lives. It is something that creates an atmosphere where God can speak; it is a type of prayer; and it should flow out of us in a natural way that is pure and easy. We can take time each evening and thank God for the things He helped us with that day, but we should also continually breathe out simple prayers of thanksgiving every time we see Him working in our lives or blessing us.

For example, "Lord, thank You for a good night's sleep" or, "God, I thank You that my visit to the dentist didn't hurt as much is I thought it might, " or "Father, thank You for helping me make good decisions today," or "Lord, thank You for keeping me encouraged." God is always good to us, always faithful, and always working diligently in our lives to help us in every possible way. We need to respond by letting Him know we appreciate Him and everything He is doing for us. We should thank God silently in our hearts and we should also voice our thankfulness aloud because that helps us stay conscious and aware of God's love, which He demonstrates through His goodness to us.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for helping me throughout my day and please remind me to be continually thankful in every single moment, big or small. My heart overflows with gratitude for Your constant love and faithfulness! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Christian Life

Love this!

God Bless.

The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, ‘O God, forgive me,’ or ‘Help me.’

Remember His Power

Some Food For Thought!

God Bless.

Remember His Power
Today : Remember His Power

TODAY’S VERSE
“They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them.– They did not remember his power.” Psalms 78:42

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What is worry other than forgetting the power and promise of God? The legacy that the Jews, who fled from Egypt, left for their children is that they forgot about the power of God. All the miracles, all the provisions and yet they were guilty of murmuring, complaining and idolatry. They lived as if God did not exist. Jesus came many centuries later and still found the same lack of faith. He was born amongst a people who did not know the all powerful God. So He showed them. He taught them not to worry about their needs because God would provide for them. He taught them to seek Him first and everything they needed would follow. Jesus lived among them for three and a half years. They saw the miracles, they heard His teachings, they experienced His power and yet many of them still not believe. They saw the miracles but like the Jews in the wilderness, “They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them. They did not remember his power.” What about you? When situations come today that force you to take pause, will you fear or have faith? Will you remember all that He has done or will you worry in unbelief? Today remember that the God of all power and provision is the same yesterday, today and will be tomorrow.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You that You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I thank You that Your power continues today as it has in the past. I know that You are able to provide, protect and keep me from falling so I give my life to You. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I will remember God’s power
Mediate on God’s power. Think of creation. Picture God brining the world into being. Think of Moses at the Red Sea. See yourself there with him, see the water part and feel the hard dry ground as you cross to the other side. See Jesus after He has risen. Picture yourself in the crowd as He rises up to Heaven. Think of a miracle that you know has happened in your life time. Remember an answer to prayer. As you think of these things, sense their reality. Let the weight of God’s power sink deep into your consciousness. As you mediate say, “I will remember God’s power.

Christ

This....

God Bless.

Christ

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3

Three times is the word “bless” used in this verse. God is a blessed God and He showers His blessings upon His people. What are these spiritual blessings in Christ? They are spiritual gifts, the blessings of the Gospel -the “good news” form God. They include the eternal purpose and precious promises of God which are to be manifested now, in the future and throughout eternity. As you read your Bible, note them. How many! How strengthening! How encouraging! How satisfying! How enduring! And all in Christ and only in Him.

How we rejoice, Oh Thou Christ of God, that by faith we are in Thee and all of Thy blessings are for us. Help us to appropriate them with thankful hearts. Amen.

The Thief

A little bit of encouragement to uplift you.

God Bless.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Inspiration

This imperfect world hands us many struggles and hardships that leave us feeling empty and broken. Satan is always plotting and chooses these moments of weakness to steal our peace or destroy our happiness. God sent Jesus to be our salvation, hope, and righteous light in the world of darkness. We have faith in God’s desire to reassure us when we struggle and grant us strength in moments of weakness.

Prayer

Dear God, we thank You for Jesus! He is our light in dark struggles and helps us maintain our strength when Satan plots against us. You are our fortress, and we are always safe in the arms of Your steadfast love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It Is Of No Use

I guess this says it all.

God Bless.

Charles Spurgeon Quote of the Day

It is of no use for any of you to try to be soul-winners if you are not bearing fruit in your own lives. How can you serve the Lord with your lips if you do not serve Him with your lives? How can you preach His gospel with your tongues, when with hands, feet, and heart you are preaching the devil’s gospel, and setting up an antichrist by your practical unholiness?

~Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892)

If We All

Huh, this one way to look at things.

God Bless.

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. (NLT) -James 1:27

If we all got busy loving the unlovable, seeing the brokenhearted, and giving ourselves up for the sake of the least of these, so many of the struggles we see in our world would dissipate.
There is much for us to do in response to our faith. We are to pray without ceasing, worship our Creator, seek out wisdom and knowledge, walk by faith, care for those in need, and share our love with others.
