It takes a hunger

To live for Christ is an adventure of epic proportion. It's a ride like no other. Yet there are times it gets demanding.

Test after test or at least that is what it seems like you find yourself asking why God why? Here is a clue: Do you have a hunger for the things of God more than you want food? Do you want to see miracles and to do more things than what Christ did? Do you want God to breathe on you more than you want to take your next breath? Have you asked God for something that goes beyond the average Christian?

If you have then you have a hunger. A hunger for God and His ways. You want see the true God not some water down version of Him. You want His power not some some kind of fly by night demonstration. You want to see His glory and to see the salvation of a world gone mad.

If this is the case, then you have been touched by Him before and nothing else will satisfy you from then on. Your soul cries out. At times you feel like your going to die if God doesn't show up.

It's hunger my friend and you must keep pressing on no matter what. Obey Him, talk with Him, be willing to drop every thing for Him but more importantly, you must keep a desire for Him and be willing to protect your hunger above all else.

If you do these things your hunger will be satisfied and you will see Him in all His glory and power.

God Bless.

I just want you

There are songs you hear that has an ever lasting effect on you and the song I Just Want You by Vickie Yokie is one of those for me.
I Just want You
I Just want You
I just want to live
in Your presence every day
I lay down my will
and every selfish desire
Whatever it takes
Father that's what I'll do
Cause I just want You
It is my desire to be in His presence every day but I fall short every day. I don't even come close.
It makes me feel disgusted with myself and I feel like a failure. I get down on myself and I'm a bear to live with.
I take out all my frustration on my family and strife enters my home. It takes weeks to gain the ground back.
If I would just do and believe what the chorus say, then I would be so much further in my walk with God.
So what is the answer? Be determined to do whatever it takes and have a fresh encounter with the trinity every day and one day I'll just have Him if I stay committed and hungry enough.
God Bless.

Nothing is impossible

Nothing is impossible to You
My Lord and King
Nothing is impossible to You
Creator of all things
You formed the world out of nothing
And you formed it by your hand
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible
To you

These are lyrics from a song I've sung in revival for the last eight months. This song comes from Rodney Howard-Browne. Although I've never sat under his ministry personally, I have sat under his brother, Bazil.

While having revival, there was hardly a time when we didn't sing this song. This song has soaked itself deep within my soul. I find myself singing it at any given time during the day. I go to bed singing it and wake up with the song on my lips.

This song has brought me through some hard times. Its become a prayer of my soul. It is the cry of my heart. It is my hearts desire to make my soul and my heart believe that nothing is impossible with God.

So when I find myself in situations that threaten to overcome me and I need a song to help me through or if I need a reminder of what God can do, I know what song to refer back to and let my soul shout out: Nothing is impossible to You
My Lord and King

May you find the importance of the words and may your soul shout out like mine, nothing is impossible to our God.

God Bless.

Walk Through Proverbs: Proverbs 31

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Words of King Lemuel’s Mother

31 The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him:
2 What, my son? And what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?
3 Do not give your strength to women, Nor your ways to that which destroys kings.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink;
5 Lest they drink and forget the law, And pervert the justice of all the afflicted.
6 Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to those who are bitter of heart.
7 Let him drink and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.
8 Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

The Virtuous Wife

10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.

As this walk comes to and end, I would hope everyone, whether your man or woman, would take the time and get out a concordence and study the scriptures dealing with a virtuous wife. It's worth the time and effort you put into it.

If your single man, ask these things of God as your praying for your future wife. Don't settle for anything less than what your worth or what is written.

If your a single woman wanting to get married or are soon to be married. Study them. Make them apart of your life because your going to literly live out these scriptures in some form your married life.

If your married a married wife, make it your goal to become this woman. Your home depend on it. If your a husband that's married, take the time to show these scriptures to your wife and together study them and impart them into your home. Your home will be a much better place.

Teach your children how to act, what to look for and maybe the divorce rate will go down in America. Your not going to be this perfect woman or find her, but you could come close if your heart is open, you strive hard in the ways of God for He says His burdens are easy and His yoke is light.

Nothing God has put into His word is hard. It's quite simple. We just need to check our heart out and see where it reads on the God monitor for without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit we are nothing!

God Bless.
