Launch Out

I believe this is a little devotional for the times.

We indeed don't have much time left before Christ returns and we need to be apart of what is doing in the earth now even with the earth is in total chaos.

He needs us, may we step up and speak up!!!

God Bless.

Launch Out

by Joyce Meyer

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
-Luke 5:4 NKJV

The only way we ever reach our final destination and succeed at being our true selves is to take many, many steps of faith. Stepping out into the unknown—into something we have never done before—can leave us shaking in our boots. Because of feelings of fear, many people never “step out,” therefore they never “find out” what they are capable of.
I believe we are very close to the time when Jesus will return for His Church, and I don’t think He has time to spend months and months convincing each of us to obey when He wants us to step out into something. I believe the more we progress into what we call “the last days,” the more God is going to require radical steps of obedience.
Many people are missing the will of God for their lives because they are “playing it safe.” I don’t want to come to the end of my life and say, “I was safe, but I’m sorry.” The world has a little saying: “Better safe than sorry.” I am not sure that always works in God’s economy. If I had tried to be safe all the time, I am sure I would not be where I am today.
Lord, there truly is no safe place apart from being with You, walking in Your will for my life. I refuse to play it safe as long as I know what You want. Amen.

An Act Of Courage

Now more than ever we need to learn the art of obedience. Without it, and when I look around and see the happenings taking place in the world, we need to hear the voice of God and be willing to do what He says for I believe, our lives will depend on it in the day's to come.

God Bless.

An Act of Courage

by Gloria Copeland

“Only be thou strong and very courageous.” Joshua 1:7

Do you know that obeying the Word is an act of courage? It really is, because when you obey the Word and believe God in a situation, you’re swimming upstream. You’re going against the current of the world. Whether you’re persevering while waiting for a better job, or working toward getting out of debt, all acts of obedience require courage. It takes courage, stamina and determination to stay with something, especially when the world has what seems to be an easier, quicker way to get there. When most of the people and all the circumstances around you are screaming unbelief in your ears, it takes courage to stand on God’s Word and not be moved. But once you make the decision to stand and be courageous, you’ll be in position and ready to activate God’s three-part formula for success.

You’ll find it spelled out in Joshua 1:8: “This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth... “But you shall meditate on it day and night... “That you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (The Amplified Bible). There they are. Three simple steps directly from the mouth of God. They are the steps that enabled Joshua to conquer the land of Canaan and bring the Israelites into their inheritance. They are also the steps that will enable you to live like the conqueror God designed you to be. So don’t give up. That better job will come. You’ll be debt free. Your circumstances will change...as long as you persevere and continue to be courageous. Speak the Word “I am strong and very courageous.” —Joshua 1:7

Works That Work

Something to think about devotional alert.

Leave it to Joyce to make you chew on something that also makes you want to be a better person.

God Bless.

Works That Work

by Joyce Meyer

For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the Fountain of living waters, and they have hewn for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns which cannot hold water. —Jeremiah 2:13

I believe one of the biggest ways people waste time is by doing what the Bible calls "dead works." I like to define a dead work as a "work" that doesn't work! That means that you are trying to make something happen, but no matter what you do, it simply does not work. When that happens, the reason is that the work is yours and not God's. When you stop planning and striving, and come to the end of yourself, then God will begin to move. That doesn't mean you have no responsibility; it simply means your work needs to be inspired and empowered by the Holy Spirit, not conceived in your natural mind and fueled by your natural strength.

There are many different kinds of dead works. For example, anything we do with a wrong motive is a dead work. Another type of dead work would be the efforts we make without asking God to get involved. Take another look at today's Scripture and imagine how frustrated you would be if you spent all day digging a well, thinking you would get water, and at the end of the day, tired and worn out, your only result was a big hole.  Things we do outside of God's timing or His will are also dead works. Learn to discern when you are working on something that is not working and refuse to do anything that is not in God's will and timing.  Love Yourself.

Today: What do you need to stop doing so you can use your time more wisely?

When He Had Given Thanks

When we give thanks, this opens the door for God to move and is there any other time we need Him to move than now?

I don't think so and I don't want to think things could get worse, so I choose to give thanks for what He is doing now.

God Bless.

When He Had Given Thanks

Scripture Reading: Matthew 26:26-28

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” - Matthew 26:26 I’ve often wondered what Jesus was giving thanks for at this moment. He knew he would soon be betrayed by Judas. He had told his disciples that he would soon be crucified. In the coming day he would also be abandoned by his followers, denied by Peter, sentenced by the religious leaders, beaten and mocked by Roman soldiers, and hung on a cross to die. But in this moment Jesus gave thanks. Maybe he did it as an example, reminding his disciples and us of the importance of regularly giving thanks to God for our daily bread.

But maybe Jesus was giving thanks for more. Perhaps he was giving thanks for his followers, gathered there in that upper room, who would soon take on the work of his earthly ministry, powered by the Holy Spirit. They would soon begin proclaiming the news of his death and resurrection around the world. Jesus may also have been giving thanks that God’s plan to restore the people and world he loves so much was unfolding even as they prayed and ate. I’m humbled by this. I’m also compelled by it. If Jesus lifted his heart in gratitude to God even as he stood under the shadow of the cross, how much more, as recipients of his forgiveness and grace, should we offer our gratitude and thanksgiving to God—daily! Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for the sacrifice of yourself and for the forgiveness of all our sins. Guide us to share our gratitude with others today. Amen.

We Stand

We need to stand and take back what is ours and what our neighbors and love ones are losing.

When we stand, Satan will take notice. We need to put him on notice and send him back to hell where he belongs.

God Bless.

We Stand

God’s Word is filled with specific promises to those who stand—promises of blessings, eternal rewards, and everlasting life. Jesus summed up the promises with these words: “You will win life.” The battles we face are not in vain. Our fight to overcome sin is not futile. The struggle to hold fast to faith in the midst of trials is not pointless, because great honor and blessings await those who stand firm. I don’t know about you, but I need this word of encouragement. From watching persecution increase across the globe to seeing Christians falling into sin at unprecedented rates, I can’t turn on the television or tune into social media without seeing the church (in all its forms) taking a serious beating. In the past few years, I’ve felt that darkness has not only increased but also seems to be winning. Christian values are mocked, and those who hold them are maligned. When I look at the world with my natural eyes, it’s easy to cave in to fear and feel discouraged, lose hope, and question the promises of God. It seems as though Christ followers are down for the count and the Enemy is doing a victory dance in the end zone. Call me competitive, but I don’t relish the idea of being on the losing end of anything.

When I see depravity escalating or suffering mounting, I find myself, much like the disciples, wide-eyed and wondering what Jesus is up to. At those times, when I’m tempted to wave the white flag and just call it a day, I find myself fighting for hope. Hope. What a beautiful word and desperately needed reality for Christ followers. Hope moves beyond intellectual belief. It’s supernatural faith that takes spiritually weak muscles paralyzed with fear and doubt and gives them the miraculous ability to stand. Hope perseveres even when it seems that all is lost in the natural realm. Here’s the thing: I know the end of the story. Our Enemy is defeated and Jesus wins. The Bible is crystal clear on this fact. But on those dark days, when it seems like we’re on the losing team, I find myself asking, “What do we do, Lord?” Turning to His Word, I discover the answer: we stand. Please hear me: this isn’t a simple Christian cliché worthy of bumper-sticker status. Jesus gave us the word stand as an answer to our struggles, fears, and battles. How do we as Christ followers press on toward victory in this age of rampant temptations, persecutions, and accusations? How do we remain steadfast when our hearts are broken wide open with grief and the Enemy chooses those moments to mock our faith in God? How do we respond when we are called names for our biblical convictions? How do we react to the injustices we see in the world? How do we resist the pressure to conform morally? How do we get back up when we’ve fallen? We stand.

Seeking Peace And Prosperity

Good stuff in this little devotional.

Take it as you will but we need to be concerned about our neighbors, love ones, our town, our cities, our state, our nation most of all, we need God in every nick and cranny of this world.

God Bless.

Seeking Peace and Prosperity

Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7 Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper. - Jeremiah 29:7

There is a kind of piety that has no concern for society. But that is not an attitude learned from the Lord. If anyone might have thought it was justified to ignore the society around them, it was the Jews, carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon. But the Lord commanded them to seek the peace and prosperity of Babylon, their home in exile, and even to pray for it.

You could call this attitude “civic spirit”: not just being concerned for oneself, or one’s family and friends, but also for society at large. Some illustrious Jews, those who sought the peace of Babylon and Persia, come to mind: Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Nehemiah, Esther, Mordecai. Some served in high office during the years of exile. Today, many believers in the true God show the same example. Civic spirit involves taking care of society at large. Your service doesn’t have to be as an ambassador for your government; it can be as basic as serving on your neighborhood association, or picking up broken bottles and litter in the park down the street, making it so that where you live is pleasant and safe rather than the opposite. If no one cares about their community, all their relationships will languish.

Prayer: Lord, we pray for our town or city, our country, our world. It can be depressing to hear of so much trouble in the news. Give us a sense of calling; show us what we can do as salt and light in society today. In Jesus, Amen.

A Costly Sacrifice

In a time like this, can you say you would be willing to die for others or turn on them because they don't do or say things the way you do.

Thankfully, someone already has paid the price. Now is the time to cling to His sacrifice while stopping our judgement of them for you never know what they are going through at any given time.

God Bless.

A Costly Sacrifice

Let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise.
Let’s look at a verse from the book of Proverbs that points to the importance of what we say with our mouths:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.(Proverbs 18:21)
Two things come from the use of the tongue: death and life. If we grumble, or if we are negative or self-centered, our tongues will bring forth death. But if we are liberated from all of that negativity and are walking in the praise and worship of God, our tongues will bring forth life. Additionally, whatever fruit our tongues bring forth, whether sweet or bitter, we are going to eat of it.
Let’s go back to our pattern verse for this week. I’d like to bring out one more important point from it. The writer said,
Through Him [Jesus] then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God.(Hebrews 13:15 NASB)
One very significant word in this verse is “sacrifice.” Praise is a sacrifice. According to the principles of Scripture, a sacrifice requires a death. In the Old Testament sacrifices, nothing was ever offered to God that had not passed through death. So, we see that the sacrifice of praise requires a death—the death of the old man. The old man cannot praise God as He deserves to be praised. There has to be a death.
Again, we know that a sacrifice costs us something; thus, praise is costly. Let me put it this way: we need to praise God most when we least feel like it. Praise cannot depend on our feelings. It is a sacrifice of our spirits.
Thank You, Lord. I give You praise. I proclaim that praise is a sacrifice, praise is costly, and, whether I feel like it or not, I give God praise. I shall continually offer up a sacrifice of praise. Amen.

Pleasing The Father

It's all about Him. We need to get that through our heads for there is no if's or but's about it.

God Bless.

Pleasing the Father
I am a child of God.
In Philippians 2:3, Paul warned us servants of the Lord, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit.” Over the years, I have observed that one persistent, pervasive problem in the church is personal ambition and competition among leaders, specifically ministers. Lest I sound judgmental, let me add that I observed this tendency
first and foremost in my own life.
We often make the mistake of equating security with

success. We think, If I build the biggest church or hold the largest meeting or amass the most names on my mailing list, I will be secure. But this is a delusion. In actual fact, the more we aim at personal success, the less secure we become. We are continually threatened by the possibility that someone else might build a bigger church or hold a larger meeting or amass more names on his mailing list.
As for me, I have found my perfect pattern in Jesus, who said, “The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him” (John 8:29). I am no longer motivated by personal ambition. I have discovered a sweeter, purer motive: simply to please my Father.
I am training myself to approach every situation and decision with a single, simple question: How can I please my Father? In times of frustration or apparent failure, I seek to turn my focus from trying to solve the problem to maintaining an attitude that is pleasing to my Father. As servants of Christ, there will be no competition among us if we are motivated by the simple desire to please our Father. Harmony and mutual concern take the place of striving and self-seeking.
Thank You, Jesus, that You have redeemed me. I proclaim that my motive in life is to please my Father—because I am a child of God. Amen.

An Overcoming Attitude in an Imperfect World

This is sooo so, good! We have overcoming powers within us. May we radiate them has we navigate these troubled times.

God Bless.

An Overcoming Attitude in an Imperfect World

by Joyce Meyer

In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
—John 16:33, NKJV

I’m sure you’ve noticed that the world is not perfect. You don’t have to live long to figure that out, but something within us as human beings still seems to want to experience perfection in our lives. We want the perfect family celebration, the perfect marriage, the perfect friends, the perfect job, the perfect neighborhood, the perfect salary, the perfect vacation and the perfect church. Or at least we want what we think would be perfect. But the truth is: perfection is a completely unrealistic expectation. It simply doesn’t exist on earth. As long as we live, we will deal with imperfection. We can be miserable about that, or we can be gracious toward ourselves, others, and our circumstances and respond with faith and flexibility.
Most of us like to think about how we want our lives to unfold and then have them go exactly according to our plans, but that rarely happens. This is not a negative statement; it’s simply a reality of life on earth. Jesus promises us in today’s verse that He has overcome everything in the world, and, through the Holy Spirit, He gives us the power to overcome too.
The enemy often uses unrealistic expectations concerning our circumstances as a tool to bring discouragement and despair into our lives. For example, he knows that if he can get us to focus on the imperfections in our spouse, our marriage will be filled with frustration and disappointment instead of peace and joy.
I urge you to expect good things to happen in your life. I certainly would not tell you to expect bad things. But I also urge you to be realistic and realize that we all have to deal with things that are unpleasant and with circumstances that are less than desirable. Our attitudes about these kinds of situations make the difference between whether we live with continual frustration and disappointment over things that aren’t perfect or whether we can accept imperfections and enjoy life in spite of them.
Love Yourself Today: Be determined to never again allow yourself to be discouraged or disappointed by the normal imperfections of life.

Quote Of The Day - You Have To Realize

For all of us who think Tom, Dick, and Harry has it better than we do and for all of us who think God has forgotten us but really we lack knowledge and obedience to do what God tells us to do.

Boiling down even more: the lack of confidence we have for ourselves and not seeing who we are through God's eyes. Yeah, that about sums it up in a nutshell.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“you have to realize that you don’t have someone else’s life and your never going to. You better start loving the one you got. Embrass the life you have and stop wishing that you could be someone else. Just stop all that and start saying “God here I am. Do what you want to do with me”.”

Be Kind

In a world where anything is possible, good and bad, it's just time to be kind.

Be the light.

God Bless.

Be Kind

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (NLT) -Ephesians 4:32

Is there someone in your life you struggle to show kindness towards?  Maybe that one person who just pushes your buttons?  God instructs us to instead of responding with irritation or anger, to be kind and forgive. How might embracing this model might transform some of your relationships?  Imagine how laying down your “right” to be offended could pave the way for you to show a bit of God’s unconditional love to others!  Be a vessel of God’s goodness through the simple choice to show kindness as you go through your day.

Be Kind - To Your Neighbor

Now is not the time to be selfish. Now is the time to reach out for your neighbors hand and be the neighbor they need rather it be just listening or meeting a need.

The benefits will totally out weigh any expectations you may have had.

God Bless.

Be Kind To Your Neighbor

How do you see a neighbor? It could be the person that lives next to you or a co-worker or classmate. Jesus taught the parable of the Good Samaritan to express that everyone is our neighbor. How are we treating one another? Do we despise our neighbor? To those in need are we showing kindness?

Prayer: Father, Thank You for reminding me that all individuals are created in your image and hold your worth. If there is resentment or jealousy toward my neighbor I ask that you place love in my heart. Help me to not ignore the needy around me but give me the wisdom to be kind and show love. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Be Slow To Anger

In times like this, we don't need to loose control and allow anger to run a muck in our live.

People are watching us more than ever and how we manage our emotions will determine what kind of witness you will be known for.

Be known for your God-fearing faith then step back and watch what God will do for you and through you.

God Bless.

Be Slow To Anger

We all can probably relate to having reacted in a manner that didn’t reflect who we are in a moment of anger. This is the knowledge being imparted in this passage of Scripture. We are most likely to make foolish decisions when we react without thought for our actions or words. The Bible encourages us to be slow to speak because often times we speak without thought for our words.

Prayer: Father, help me to realize the impact of my words and actions. Help me to be slow to speak to avoid saying something foolish. You have given me a spirit of self-control, therefore, strengthen me to control my quick temper. Amen.

Love One Another

Although we are supposed to keep apart six feet apart and no activities are canceled and we feel stuck in place.

As frustrations rise as well as uncertainty may one thing never be set aside or forgotten is to remember to love those around us as well as those far off.

Love will get us through this.

God Bless.

Love One Another

Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. (NLT) -Romans 13:8

The Bible teaches that we have one obligation to one another: which is love. How do we show love to those closest to us?  We need to be intentional about expressing gratitude for the roles others play in our lives.  We need to check in and ask how those around us are doing.  We need to seek God in prayer for our loved ones, neighbors, community, and world.

You Are Not Going Backwards

Even though throughout this little devotional, it stresses woman but in fact, this little devotional can be addressed to everyone.

The point of is that we are moving forward and we are no longer going backwards. I don't know about you but I'm tired of taking 2 steps forward and then wham taking 10 steps back.

I'm over it and I am looking forward to living my best life.

God Bless.

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.” Hebrews 6:1

It’s a new season, my sister, and it’s a new day! God is putting the wind back in your sails. He is showing you that nothing can stop you, and no one can hinder you when God is on your side. Those old fears will not work this time. You’re in a new place in God, and it’s time to receive His grace to continue your progress in Him. If you made it this far, you could go on! Go further than your mother did! Go further than your grandmother did! Go further, my sister! You have everything you need to fulfill God’s divine purpose for your life. It’s all within you! Instead of running from problems, watch God help you face them head-on. Instead of caving under pressure, watch God help you stand on His truth. Anything that held you back before will not work this time. You’re not going backward; you’re going forward!

Declare this from your heart today: “God is with me, and He is for me! I am not looking back. I am moving forward in Jesus! It’s a new season for me, and it’s a new day.

God’s face is shining on me, and His grace is with me. I am a woman with a vision, I am a woman on a mission, and I am a woman with a purpose. God is building me into a kingdom woman, and I am totally surrendered to Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

God At Work

All my life I felt like this and never really understood why. But I am starting to and it is exciting.

And I am encouraged and I hope you will continue to be.

God Bless.

God at Work

Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. (NLT) -1 Corinthians 1:27

Have you ever felt the nudge to do something, say something, or try something that felt outside your ability? As soon as that thought came into your head, did another as also that discreded your qualifications?  Yet, the original idea brought a quickening in your heart; the undeniable feeling this could be great! These are the moments when God wants to step in to do something bigger than what we believe is possible with our seemingly unqualified lives.  He pushes us into uncomfortable places so that we are able to recognize His power at work through us.

Does Life Feel out of Control? Remember These 3 Things

Does Life Feel out of Control? Remember These 3 Things:

400 years. That’s how long the Israelites waited for God to deliver them from slavery. But after they left Egypt, God didn’t take them directly to their promised land.
Instead, they camped out at the base of a mountain while God instructed Moses. During that time, God’s glory rested on the mountain.
But after 40 days, the Israelites grew frustrated by the delay…so they rejected God and pursued whatever pleased them.
If you’ve ever felt frustrated by an uncertain season that lasts longer than you anticipated, you’re not alone.
Waiting can lead to disappointment and frustration. In those moments, we can become so focused on our circumstances that we forget God is still in control. If God’s in control, we might ask, then where is He? Why hasn’t anything changed?

Here are three truths to remember:

  1. Waiting reveals what you worship

When the Israelites’ plans were delayed, they pursued instant gratification because that’s what they actually valued.
When you find yourself dissatisfied with your situation, what do you turn to? What you focus on reveals what you value, and what you value determines what you worship.
  1. Waiting is never wasted

God wasn’t withholding His promise from the Israelites—He was preparing them for it.
God’s timeline is different than ours, but your waiting might actually be preparing you for the plans and purposes God has for you.
  1. Waiting helps us focus on God’s faithfulness

God’s faithfulness hasn’t changed. The God who patiently protected and provided for the Israelites also conquered death so that you could experience eternal life.
If you find yourself growing weary from waiting, look up and look back. Look for evidence of God’s presence, and look back on what He’s done for you. This will help you hold onto hope.
Hoping in God is never wasted because the One who conquered death is still in control, and He’s always at work in your waiting

Faithful Living

Something to chew on........

God Bless.

Faithful Living

Throughout Scripture there is a biblical principle, “you reap what you sow.” Yet, we are still often stunned by the results we get when instead they should not surprise us at all. What should be our reward if we are faithless? What should we expect? To do good or bad has its consequences. Each way of living will be rewarded with what we sow.

Prayer: Father, guide me in truth and righteousness. But also guide my path toward faithfulness and righteousness. May the labours of my work be a reflection of the work that I invest in. Amen.

A Prayer for Anyone Battling Addiction

If we will be honest, we all know someone who struggles with some form of addiction.

The problem truly isn't the person, although they must want to get free because of not, its a useless fight, the problem is we as Christians have allowed the opportunities to become available by not taking our territory serious.

Yes, it does come down to the invidual and their choices but where we to show them a different one?

Just some food for thought.

God Bless.

First Love

As we live in uncertain times, may we take a little time to come back to our first love and while we are at it, may we look deep in our hearts to see what we allowed in to make us loose it in the first place.

God Bless

YOUR FIRST LOVE
When you read 1 Samuel 7:1-3, you find that Israel had many idols. They were false gods that took their affection and devotion away from God, the true living God.
It was when Israel had placed God in His rightful place in their hearts and lives, that it was then that they experienced victory over their enemies and over time everything began to fall into place for them.
Again in Revelation 2:2-4 you find the church of Ephesus doing many great things for God and serving. Yet, God wasn’t their first love. They weren’t devoted to Him as they once were. Even though they were doing all the right things for God, He desired something more than their works, He wanted their hearts.
There are many things that can become idols in our lives, from a particular person to our emotions and even the activities that we do in church. Anything that takes the place that God should have in our hearts is an idol.
It’s important to also highlight that the ability to overcome the internal struggles in your life and experience victory over them, begins with your full devotion to God and making Him Lord over your life.
It’s about you consistently cultivating an authentic relationship with God, that goes beyond a Sunday service and any activity you’re involved in.
When you're intentional about making God first in your life and you align yourself with Him, it will influence every other area of your life.
It’s time to return back to your first love.
What/Who has taken your devotion and affection away from God?
Does your heart still burn for God as it once did?
Prayer Points
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything or anyone that has become an idol in your life and repent (turn away and change).
  • Receive His forgiveness and yield yourself to His Lordship.

By Faith

This explains that rumbling in your spirit so well.

By Faith

For we live by believing and not by seeing. (NLT) -2 Corinthians 5:7

Have you ever felt a prompting in your heart do something that just didn’t make sense?  Like speak up for justice, when it felt uncomfortable?  Or give money to a cause when logic would say that money would be better spent on practical things?  That still small voice leading you to do good, that would otherwise be easy to pass over, is the voice of the Holy Spirit.  This is what it is to live by faith and not by sight.

Intelligence in Creation

This little devotional is a powerful one. Just think about it, if God took the time to place the earth in just the right spot so it would survive and thrive, imagine how much more He will do for you.

God Bless

Prayer: God, help me to understand your purpose in creation and find what you desire me to do in the midst of it.
Intelligence in Creation
Several years ago I watched the film “Planet Earth” produced by the BBC network. I had never seen the earth filmed in such clarity. The high definition cinematography helped a bit. The beauty of earth is remarkable, but as I have read more, the earth is placed in a perfect spot to survive.
Scientists refer to this perfect placement as “The Goldilocks Zone.” Why this name? Goldilocks is a story of a girl who breaks into a bear family house, sits on chairs, eats their food, and sleeps in their beds. It’s a great bedtime story for children; “Watch out kids for girls who break into your house at night.” In the story, Goldilocks picks the chair that was the right size, food that was the best temperature and bed with the right amount of softness. Basically, she picked each item based on what was “just right.”
When it comes to planets, it seems that Earth was “just right” for life to exist. Several scientific reasons have been posed: the distance from the sun, the stability of the sun, the moon tilting the earth just right, Jupiter pulling meteors away from striking Earth. These reasons paint part of the picture. However, Genesis chapter one gives us a more to see. It was not by chance or luck that Earth ended up in the perfect place. An infinitely intelligent designer placed this planet where He wanted it to be for life to thrive. In Genesis chapter one we read a refrain: God looks at his creation and calls it good. God created the world “good” by it’s placement.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
  1. Have you thought about Earth being in the perfect place for life to exist?
  2. When you think about God creating the Earth and life in it, do you think He placed you purposefully?
  3. If God placed you on earth purposefully, what do you think he placed you here to do?
What’s Next?
  1. Spend some time thinking about God who created and placed earth in the perfect place for life to thrive. Then write down a few reasons you think God has placed you on this earth.

Grace And Goodness

Can I get an Amen?
AMEN!!!
God Bless.

Grace and Goodness
Let’s get three things straight:
First, God is a good God.
Second, sin and Satan—flesh and Hell—have fouled up God’s intended processes for mankind.
Third, the redeemed—those who have received God’s gift of life in Jesus—are the main channel of His dealing in grace and goodness on this planet.
Prayer Is Invading the Impossible
