Praying For Protection

Love this. Yet, something I rarely do but I know I need to.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

“Praying for Protection”

David’s psalms often speak of enemies. Ancient kings were always in danger of people trying to kill them. We may have fewer enemies intent on physical violence, but there are many forces in the world that can ruin us economically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We must do what David did. He asks God to spread his protection over him. He is sure God will do this because he looks toward his temple, the place where sins are atoned for. Christians do the same when they remember the One who claimed to be the final temple (John 2:20–21), the ultimate sacrifice, and the conclusive proof of God’s great love for us.

Prayer: Righteous Lord, I ask for protection from all the hostile forces around me. But when I get indignant about evil in others, I remember my own sin, and that I can come near you only by your grace. How I need to hate wrongdoing and yet not become angry and begin to feel superior to others! Keep me safe, but keep me humbled. Amen.

Understand

Wisdom and encouragement.

God Bless.

Understand, God is not just working on the things that you can see. He is working in areas you cannot see. He is working on what you have asked Him to and He is also working on the things you didn’t know you needed to ask Him to. God sees and knows ALL that needs to be done in your life. Trust Him to take care of you. Amen.

Don't Be Selfish

Some food for thought.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. (NLT) -Philippians 2:3

Evaluate your motives. Where do you need to pivot from serving yourself to serving others? What lies have you entertained that have inflated your own status? God cares about our hearts, so take time to align your motives with God’s standard of humility.

Quote Of The Day - Help

Food for thought.

God Bless.

Prayer Quote of the day

Where do you run for help? When you are in trouble, what is your first instinct? Do you run to others or to God? Is it usually the counsel of another rather than the counsel found in waiting upon God in prayer? Why is this the way it is? Why do we run to man before we run to God?

Keep God In All Your Plans

Something to think about in the word's written below.  Stay encouraged.

God Bless.

DAILY AFFIRMATION DEVOTIONAL

BY CHRISTIAN CHANNEL

Keep God In All Your Plans
Today : Keep God In All Your Plans

TODAY’S VERSE

“You inspect the breaks in the walls of Jerusalem. You store up water in the lower pool. You survey the houses and tear some down for stone to strengthen the walls. Between the city walls, you build a reservoir for water from the old pool. But you never ask for help from the One who did all this. You never considered the One who planned this long ago.” Isaiah 22:9-11 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT

There is a great tension between trusting God and doing things by ourself. The old adage, “Pray as if everything depended on God and works as if everything depended on you,” sounds good but is it really what God wants? Yes, we should pray and ask God for His guidance, and yes we should work hard at what He has called us to do. But it is not like the prayer at the beginning of a meal. At mealtime we give thanks and then go about eating our food. But for our life concerns and projects we pray over what we are about to do and then remain in continuous prayer as we participate with God in what He has called us to do. The Israelites trusted God as they worked on the walls of Jerusalem, but somewhere between planning and building, they forgot God was in the plans. Isaiah wrote, “Between the city walls, you build a reservoir for water from the old pool. But you never ask for help from the One who did all this. You never considered the One who planned this long ago.” Today, as you go about your day, as you attack the plans that God has given you, consider Him. This is a new day; make Him the Lord of it and seek Him in all you do.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Dear God, forgive me for running ahead of You. I desire to live for You and yet it seems I live my life without You. Help me. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit so that I keep You Lord of all I do. Help me to live for Your glory. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION

God is Lord of all I do
Picture your today’s to do list in your mind. Scan the agenda and see yourself going through your day. Now stop, and start over. Picture Jesus with you, walking, sitting, talking, vitally interested in all you do and say. Sense His presence with You, guiding you through each appointment and activity. See Him directing you and blessing all your efforts. Visualize yourself at the end of the day thanking God for all He has done for you and blessing all your efforts. Repeat: God is Lord of all I do.

But Jesus

Huh, some food for thought written below.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

Inspiration

Sometimes we underestimate what God equips us to do. The disciples had barely enough food for themselves, much less enough to feed 5000. Yet Jesus told them to feed the crowd anyway. So too, Jesus calls us to use what we have been given, even if it seems small, to bring Him glory. And when we respond with obedience, He is faithful to multiply the fruits of our efforts to His glory.

Prayer

Father, sometimes I feel inadequate to do the work that You’ve called me to do. Yet, You have proven over and over that in Your hands, even a little bit does great things for Your kingdom. Help me to use my gifts and resources faithfully as I trust You to bring forth fruit, so that You may be glorified in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“This is the day God has made, and I am going to enjoy it. I can handle whatever comes my way today through Christ Who is my strength. Today, I am energetic and creative. I have favor with God and man everywhere I go. Everything I lay my hand to prospers and succeeds. I enjoy being a blessing to others. I am thankful for all that God has done for me. God is working on my problems, and I can wait patiently because His timing is perfect.”

Will Prosper

Love this little devotional and I found such wisdom and encouragement. I wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless.

Will Prosper

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (NLT) -Proverbs 11:25

Make a difference today and be generous towards others. One of the best ways to be generous is by giving words of encouragement. Encourage people around you today, and you'll see that you yourself will be refreshed! There's nothing like the feeling you get from bringing a genuine smile to someone's face. Try thoughtfully encouraging and you will receive enrichment from your generous words.

Keep Saying It

Much needed Encouragement!

God Bless.

 Keep Saying It!

Satan has no place in me, no power over me, no unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by the blood of Jesus!
The first time we make this declaration, Satan will laugh at
us. We need to keep saying it. Satan is the tempter, but he is
very methodical and wastes no time. He will tempt you as
long as he gets any response from you. When there is no
more response, he won’t bother to tempt you.
So, we can be tempted in the area of, let’s say,
resentment. We must keep saying, “It was crucified. It has
no power in me. It has no place in me.” The devil says,
“That isn’t really true. That’s just something Brother Prince
said.” But we keep saying it. And after a while, it becomes
so real that the devil doesn’t waste his time trying to tempt
us any longer.
One of the things we have to do is build the walls of our
character. The Bible says that the person who has no control
over his own spirit is like a city that is broken-down and
without walls. (See Proverbs 25:28.) In our culture today,
many people are growing up like broken-down walls
because of bad homes, drugs, or evil influences. Anybody
who has been deep in drugs is definitely a city without
protective walls. We build the walls by strengthening our
wills and asserting our rights bought by the cross. We may
think of this process as a terrible experience. But we don’t
realize how much good it is doing us; at the end of it, we
have built strong character. Gifts are temporary, for this life
only; character is permanent—it goes into eternity with us.
God is infinitely more interested in your character than in
your gifts.
Thank You, Lord, for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim
that I intend to strengthen my will and assert my
rights bought by the cross, declaring over and over
again: Satan has no place in me, no power over me, no
unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by
the blood of Jesus! Amen.

Confessing Faith

Huh, something to think about.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Confessing Faith

I overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony, and I do not love my life to the death.

The Lord has showed me that many Christians, if they looked back on their pasts, would admit to having made a series of negative confessions. You may have talked about what you couldn’t do or discussed your failures and disappointments. But, you see, our confessions determine where we go.
There is a vivid example of this truth in the story of the twelve spies Moses sent into the Promised Land. Two came back with positive confessions, ten with negative ones. The majority of the Israelites believed the negative confession, “We cannot.” The positive confession was, “We are well able.” All the Israelites settled their destinies by their confession. Those who said, “We cannot” could not. And those who said, “We are well able” were well able.

You may have uttered some negative words, spoken statements that did not glorify Jesus, or dwelled on disappointments that only tied you to impotence or failure. If we confess failure, failure will be our portion. If we confess faith, God will be our portion. Just confess to God, “Lord, I’m sorry. I’ve tied Your hands; because of my unbelief and negative thinking, I have limited what You could do in my life.” Scripture says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
When you’ve rejected negative confessions, thank God that you’ve come out of that dark, lonely valley. Say, “I can do all things through Christ who empowers me within,” which is the literal translation of Philippians 4:13.

Thank You, Lord, for the blood of the Lamb. I proclaim that “I can do all things through Christ who
empowers me within,” and that I overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, and I do not love my life to the death.

Amen.

Keep In Touch

Love this! Wanted to share the wealth.

God Bless.

Keep in Touch

John Blase

Madeleine L’Engle made it a habit to call her mother once a week. As her mother moved into her later years, the beloved spiritual writer called more frequently, “just to keep in touch.” In the same way, Madeleine liked her children to call and maintain that connection. Sometimes it was a lengthy conversation filled with significant questions and answers. Other times a call simply making sure the number was still valid was sufficient. As she wrote in her book Walking on Water, “It is good for the children to keep in touch. It is good for all of us children to keep in touch with our Father.”

Most of us are familiar with the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9–13. But the verses that precede it are just as important, for they set the tone for what follows. Our prayers aren’t to be showy, “to be seen by others” (v. 5). And while there’s no limit on how long our prayers need to be, “many words” (v. 7) doesn’t automatically equate to quality prayer. The emphasis seems to be on maintaining regular contact with our Father who knows our need “before [we] ask him” (v. 8). Jesus stresses how good it is for us to keep in touch with our Father. Then instructs us: “This, then, is how you should pray” (v. 9).

Prayer is a good, vital choice for it keeps us in touch with the God and Father of us all.

Reflect

How can you better stay in touch with others? How have you experienced keeping in touch with the Father?

Insight

In Matthew 6:1–8, Jesus emphasizes that living for God should be done humbly, without seeking to draw attention to oneself or to gain praise. Believers in Jesus should have a humble attitude as they give to those in need (vv. 1–4) and as they pray (vv. 5–8). At first glance, this might seem to contradict 5:14–16, which emphasizes that the lives of Jesus’ disciples should shine brightly before others “that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (v. 16). There’s no contradiction, however, for when believers serve God humbly out of love for Him and others, it naturally results in His light shining in the world. When service and prayer is motivated by a desire for attention and praise, however, it can have the opposite effect, repulsing others who may detect self-serving, hypocritical motivations (6:5).

With God I Can

Love this and I found encouragement in the word's written below may you fine some well.

God Bless.

DAILY AFFIRMATION DEVOTIONAL

With God I Can
Today : With God I Can

TODAY’S VERSE
“You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness. In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.” Psalms 18:28-29 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
David’s faith in God is infectious. He shares how dire his situation is when he writes, “The ropes of death entangled me; floods of destruction swept over me. The grave wrapped its ropes around me; death laid a trap in my path.” And yet David trusts in God. Not just trust, David gushes with optimism. Verse after verse gives hope in the God who cares, the God who is able. When there is darkness in his life, God provides light. When there is an army, God gives him strength. When there is a wall in front of him, God enables him to scale it. David writes, “God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.” We have problems, struggles abound and difficulties are all around; but today, trust in God like David did. Put your faith in Him. He will make a way.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear God Almighty, I need Your strength today. I need Your light in my darkness, I need Your help to scale the walls in front of me. Lord, give me the faith I need so I can say with confidence, “With God I can.”
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
With God I can
Quiet your heart before God. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with faith. Imagine yourself in darkness and slowly picture God bringing in light. Picture a large overwhelming wall in front of you. See yourself asking God to fill your heart with confidence. Feel your self becoming energized with strength and then scale the wall. Feel the joy as God meets your need. Repeat: With God I can.
