Do You Know

This is amazing and such an encouragement. He loves us so let's continue to love Him back and allow Him to be God!

God Bless!

Do you know how dearly God loves you?  He loves you so much He has chosen to pour His Spirit into our heart as a constant reminder of His love.

To Care For

There isn't a better time than this to put the following devotional into action.

People need to see the church in action. So my question to you, what are you doing for others today and if nothing, what is stopping you from following the Lord's voice.

God Bless

To Care For

Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her. (NLT) -1 Timothy 5:3
Believe it or not, God has left instructions for us to take care of one another. One group of people we need to look out for are widows. We as the body of Christ need to extend ourselves to those who find themselves as widows. Anyone who protects and cares for widows will truly be blessed by God. Do you know of anyone God has placed in your life who is a widower for you to look after?

Resist Ampathy

The following is so good. We must overcome the weakness and the desire for apathy.

God Bless

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men” Matthew 5:13, Berean Study Bible.

Apathy is a lack of interest, enthusiasm, or concern. It is the kind of thinking that says, the whole world can go to hell in a handbasket and I wouldn’t care. It is gradually losing hope, losing your fire, and the desire to try. I read the news, see the rejection of Jesus on a global scale, see the strife and hurt believers inflict on one another with no conviction at all, and the destruction all around us. The Lord helps me fight against every thought that tells me to stop caring so much. It is because God cares. He cares about every person—whether they know Him or not.

Years ago, my prayer was, Lord help me to care. Now, my prayer is, Lord help me to never stop caring no matter what. With His Help, we must continue to be the salt of the earth, never losing our saltfulness, never losing our sincere interest in the souls of people and their coming into a true knowledge of Jesus. With His help, we must never lose our enthusiasm about the effectiveness of the gospel of Jesus and how it is the power of God unto salvation. With His help, we must never decrease in concern for the spiritual and physical welfare of every human being. We must be resilient in being the salt and light God created us to be!

Prayer: Father, help me to care. Then, help me never stop caring. Help me to care about what you care for. Let my heart stay interested, enthusiastic and concerned about your Kingdom agenda. I submit to you and I resist the enemy. I resist apathy in all it’s forms. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Something Worth Talking About

Not only is this something to talk about but also to think about.  May this little devotional do just that.

God Bless.

Something Worth Talking About

Paul instructs Timothy to avoid several things – godless chatter, youthful desires (v. 22), useless arguments (v. 23), and those denying the power of God (3:5). Let’s choose to talk about something worthwhile today.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I repent of so much nonsense I talk about each day. It’s just mindless air. Forgive me. Put new, better, wholesome words in my mouth. May my words be an encouragement and inspiration to others near me. May the words from my mouth be a source of edification. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Time To Sing

Now is the time to worship. Now is the time to sing as if our lives depends on it and most indeed, they do.

No matter where you live, the darkness still roams but we must be diligent in blocking it out in our lives.

And one of the way's to do that is to sing and give God praise for everything He is doing that we can see and can't.

God Bless.

A Time To Sing!

Is music part of your praise? Do you love to sing songs about our wonderful Saviour? Do you sing for joy when you think of God’s grace, mercy, love, comfort, provision, and power? Have you found yourself waking up to a particular hymn running through your mind? This psalm was written as a special song for a special day – the Sabbath. May it be your song today.

Prayer: Dear Lord, you’ve put a song in my heart today: a song of thanksgiving and praise. I want to sing about your love and faithfulness, your joy and peace. Don’t let the grey frowns and heavy hearts of others mute my song … but let my song bring a smile and lighten a heart today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Filled With The Spirit

This is powerful.

God Bless

Be Filled with the Spirit

Adapted from the resource My Time with God - by Joyce Meyer

Did you know we can actually sense the Holy Spirit in us if we pay attention? His presence releases energy, ability, power, and peace like nothing else (see Acts 1:8), and being filled with the Holy Spirit is deeply important to me.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that there are a few things I can do on purpose that help cultivate His presence:

  1. Think good and godly thoughts because we feed on what we think (see Philippians 4:8).
  2. Speak positive things that release hope and joy (see Proverbs 18:21).
  3. Let the Word of God fill my mind. As I meditate on various scriptures, I find the energy of the Holy Spirit being released in my soul (see Ephesians 5:18–19).
  4. When I think about things I can do for other people to bless or help them, I always sense God’s power and enthusiasm (see Acts 10:38).

If you’ll give these a try, I believe you’ll be amazed at the difference they make in your life.

Prayer Starter: Father, I want to always be filled with Your Spirit, so please give me the grace to form habits that will help me cultivate Your presence in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

In The Beginning At Creation

Good question to ponder.

And how we respond to the question is equally important. So, ponder long and hard, then comply, and watch God multiply.

God Bless.

In the beginning, at creation, the Holy Spirit was present. Hovering over the emptiness. The order that was soon to imbue creation came through the power and presence of the Spirit of God. Will you embrace the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit in your life today?
