Confessing Your Righteousness Pleases God

According to Joseph Prince in this little devotional, every time I confess I am the righteousness of God, God is pleased and I have a desire to please God in all things.

Unfortunately, if I'm being real here, I have a lack in this area. I never seem to please Him. I'm always messing up.

However, that is how I see myself and not how God see's me. Isn't it time for me to start seeing things God sees things? I can't help but wonder if we all started to see how God sees our self what kind of effect would that have in our cities, our state, our nation, and the people around the world?

Isn't it time we stop the selfishness and rise up and become the people God believes in? He believes in a people who see themselves in right standing and have the heart to see others as well.

It's time for a new generation to arise and take our rightful place.

God Bless.

Confessing Your Righteousness Pleases God
Romans 10:6
6... the righteousness of faith speaks...

Every time you confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ”, God the Father is pleased. When you confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, it reminds Him of what His Son has done for you to become righteous.

Also, by making you righteous, God is showing Himself righteous — “to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus”. (Romans 3:26)

Each time Jesus hears you confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ,” it brings much pleasure to His heart too, because you are laying hold of what He suffered and died to give you.
The Holy Spirit, who now indwells you to convict you of righteousness (John 16:10), also rejoices when you confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” He is pleased when you flow with Him.

The delight of the Godhead is not the only thing you gain when you declare, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” The Bible tells us that when you “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness… all these things shall be added to you”. (Matthew 6:33)

Whether it is food, clothing or other necessities in life, “all these things” will be added to you. They will not just be given to you, but added to you as your inheritance when you seek first His righteousness.

You don’t need to use your faith for every single need in life. You just need to use your faith for one thing — to believe that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, and it will cause all the blessings you seek to come after you and overtake you!

Thought For The Day
Use your faith to simply believe that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, and the blessings you seek will come after you and overtake you!

Your Sins Are Not Being Recorded

I almost laughted when I read this little devotional. Alright, I'll be honest and tell you I did laugh.

How can it be that my sins aren't recorded? God records practically everything so why not my sins?

It is when you challenge God, I find out He comes back with an even bigger and better challenge that makes it where YOU have to search yourself instead of laying the blame at His feet.

This is what He did for me when I asked about how this could be true, Him not recording my sins, and He gave me the answer that came from way deep down within me.

When He looks at sin, He only see's Jesus and the price He paid and that is good enough for God. He also should me, He didn't need to keep any record because I had that covered.

Not only do I keep track of my sins and refuse to let them go and I record the sins of others as well and refuse to help break their shackles as well. Gulp.

It's time, I see things how God seems them and He eyes only see the blood of Jesus which makes everyone perfect in His eyes. It's when we look through our own is when we start to get into trouble.

God Bless.

Your Sins Are Not Being Recorded

Hebrews 8:12
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

I once read a comic book that showed how a man lusted after a woman, then died of a heart attack and went to heaven. In heaven, he saw a big screen showing everyone present a recording of all the sins that he had committed while on earth, including the last one. How embarrassing!

Don’t worry, that is not going to happen to you in heaven. There is no big screen with front-row and circle seats for everyone to sit and watch your past sins. There is no video recorder in heaven recording your sins right now. Because your lifetime of sins has already been punished in the body of Jesus, God declares to you, “Your sins and lawless deeds, I will by no means ever remember!”

This is true even for the Old Testament heroes of faith such as Abraham, Moses and David. If you read Hebrews 11, which was written after the cross of Jesus, you will notice that there is no record of their sins or failures. Yet, their life stories tell us that they were far from perfect.

Abraham lied twice about his wife Sarah. He told Pharaoh, and later, King Abimelech, that she was his sister to protect his own life. Moses killed an Egyptian who was beating a Hebrew, and hid the body in the sand. David committed adultery with Bathsheba and later arranged for her husband to be killed in battle. Yet, their sins were not recorded in Hebrews 11, only their deeds done in faith!

God is showing you that He does not record your sins or failures today. Instead, He records your faith confessions and deeds done in response to what His Son has done for you. Every time you sin, every time you waver in your faith, God does not record it. But every time you believe Him and respond in faith, He records it! That should not make you want to sin more. It should free you to love God more!

So don’t be conscious of your failures. If God Himself does not remember them, who are you to remember them? Be conscious instead of your righteousness in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21), and you will reign in life! (Romans 5:17)

Thought For The Day
Don’t be conscious of your failures because God Himself does not remember them.

My Soul Thirst For God

If I'm totally honest here, there are a lot of nights I stay awake and ask a simple question over and over. However, I haven't seem to have gotten the answer quite yet. I have all the elements in play but there still seems to be missing pieces of the puzzle.

My question to God that comes deep down from my soul is when are You going to show me your glory Lord? When are You going to make Yourself known to me.

You see, I believe in Him however I long to know Him. I long for unshakable faith. I long to know a Savior that is also a Friend who will never leave me or forsake me. I long for the God of Israel to rise up in me and to change my life and the life of others who are around me.

Yes, I can safely say, my soul thirst for a loving and real God who when He created this universe had you and me in mind.

God Bless.

My Soul Thirsts for God

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?(Psalm 42:1–2)
What makes this so beautiful and so crucial for us is that he is not thirsting mainly for relief from his threatening circumstances. He is not thirsting mainly for escape from his enemies or for their destruction.
It’s not wrong to want relief and to pray for it. It is sometimes right to pray for the defeat of enemies. But more important than any of that is God himself.
When we think and feel with God in the Psalms, this is the main result: We come to love God, and we want to see God and be with God and be satisfied in admiring and exulting in God.
A likely translation of the end of verse 2 is: “When will I come and see the face of God?” The final answer to that question was given in John 14:9 and2 Corinthians 4:4. Jesus said, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.” And Paul said that when we are converted to Christ we see “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
When we see the face of Christ, we see the face of God. And we see the glory of his face when we hear the story of the gospel of his death and resurrection. It is “the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
May the Lord increase your hunger and your thirst to see the face of God. And may he grant your desire through the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Take Up Your Cross

I don't know about you but for me, I have heard alot of sermons concerning the cross and what it has done for me.

Some I've taken to heart; and some I couldn't care less for; and some that has confused me and pushed me to the brinks of giving it all up and go for broke.

However there is one thing I've learned, I must keep going on, putting things up on a shelf until God sends something to define what I've questioned Him about. It's all about that awe huh moment when something hits your spirit and you just got it.

So when I came across this little devotional about the cross, it was a light bulb moment for me only strenghening what I already had in my spirit and I wanted to share it.

God Bless.

Take Up Your Cross

August 10

God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.Galatians 6:14, NKJV
The cross is not just a symbol of love or a fashion statement. The cross is your daily decision to deny yourself,
your rights,
your wants,
your dreams,
your plans,
your goals,
and deliberately, wholeheartedly, unreservedly live out your commitment to His will and His way and His Word and His wisdom. The cross is your decision to live for Jesus. Period. No “ifs,” “ands,” “buts,” or “maybes.”
Would you take up your cross . . . every day . . . and follow Him.

4 Truths That Will Turn Your Frown Upside Down

I am always looking for ways to change my thinking and further my growth. And Joyce Meyer seems to always put out something just for me. Or at least to my crazy messed up mind.

For whatever reason, I'm thankful for her written words that come right at the right time in my life and it inspires to me to continue my race. I absolutely found this to be an encouragement to my soul that I know will have lasting effects for years to come and I wanted to share them this with you in hopes this will encourage and inspire you to continue in your race.

God Bless.

4 Truths That Will Turn Your Frown Upside Down

by Joyce Meyer

Would you like to be in a good mood every day? You are probably thinking, Yes, of course I would. Who wouldn’t? I spent a lot of years being controlled by a variety of moods and believing I had no choice in how

I felt. I envied all the “happy people.” I used to wonder, What is their secret? Why them and not me?
Then I finally learned that our mind, mouth, moods and attitudes are all intricately connected. First you think, and then your thoughts turn into words that you speak, and the two of them together affect you emotionally and turn into moods and attitudes.

For years, I paid no attention to what I was thinking, and I didn’t make the connection between my thoughts and the rest of my life. But the Lord has taught me many things from His Word about the “mind connection” since those early days, and I’m excited to share some of those truths with you.

You Can Choose How You Think
Although we don’t always have the power to change every unpleasant circumstance in our lives, we do have the power to change our outlook. Nobody enjoys a troubling or painful circumstance, but I’ve found if we look at it in a hopeful, faith-filled way, we can watch God work all things out for our good (see Romans 8:28).

Enjoying life begins with the thoughts you choose to think. Yes, it is that simple! No matter what is going on in your life today, if you will choose happy, hope-filled thoughts based on God’s Word, you will feel happier.

Our thoughts are intricately connected to our feelings, so if we want to feel better, we need to think better.
Think of the mind like the gas tank in your automobile. Your automobile will run well, or perhaps not even run at all, depending on what kind of fuel you put into it. In the same way, when you choose your thoughts carefully, your quality of life will improve in amazing ways!

Sure, there are some people who are born with a temperament that makes it easier for them to look on the bright side of life than others, but even they have to make choices about their thoughts and attitudes toward life.

Be honest with yourself and think about what you have been mentally focusing on and how you have been feeling emotionally and even physically. I feel certain you will see a definite connection. Nothing good comes from thinking sour, critical, and negative thoughts, but something good always comes when we think according to God’s plan for our life.

You Can Change How You Think

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers us a new way of living; however, a new way of thinking will always precede this new way of living. Right thinking and right attitudes are roadmaps that allow us to reach our destination.

Romans 12:2 says, Do not be conformed to this world (this age), (fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs). But be transformed (changed) by the (entire) renewal of your mind (by its new ideals and its new attitude), so that you may prove (for yourselves) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God….

This Scripture is so important for us to understand! God has a good, acceptable, and perfect plan for you and me, and the way we can experience it is not to think like the world thinks, but to be changed entirely by learning to renew our mind and think the way God thinks. If you want to have what God wants you to have, learn to think like God thinks!

Ephesians 4:22-23 is one of my favorite groups of scriptures in the Bible. Verse 22 says to strip yourselves of your former nature. Then verse 24 tells us to put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image.

How do we do that? Verse 23 gives us the key: And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude].

So, the way to “put off” your old life and “put on” the new is to constantly renew your mind and attitude. It begins with filling our minds with God’s Word, then choosing to think and speak the positive, faith-filled things He says about our lives.

You Can Think Positive Things On Purpose

Did you know you can jump-start your day by thinking and speaking good things on purpose as one of your first acts in the morning? It’s an exercise that only takes a few minutes, but it will be valuable to you all day. I encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and speak out things like:

This is the day God has made, and I am going to enjoy it! (Psalm 118:24)
I can handle whatever comes my way today through Christ Who is my strength. (Philippians 4:13)
Today, I am strong and energetic. (Isaiah 40:28-31)
I have favor with God and man everywhere I go. (Luke 2:52)
Everything I lay my hand to prospers and succeeds. (Deuteronomy 30:19; Joshua 1:8)
I enjoy being a blessing to others. (1 Timothy 6:18)
I am thankful for all that God has done for me. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
God is working on my problems, and I can wait patiently because His timing is perfect. (Psalm 31:15; 37:7; 46:1)
A negative mind and mouth will produce negative moods, attitudes and in all probability, a miserable day.

But the positive approach of setting your mind in an uplifting direction, full of godly, faith-filled thoughts will have a good effect on you and your entire day.

Change Takes Time and Practice

Renewing our mind, mouth, moods and attitudes isn’t always easy, but it is possible with God’s help. I have personally been working toward this goal for almost 40 years, and although I have not arrived at perfection, I have made amazing progress. I have successful days, and I also have days when I feel like I’ve failed miserably, but I believe with God’s help I can keep growing.

If you desire greater emotional stability, and the ability to maintain a consistent good attitude no matter what your circumstances are, then make it a goal and don’t give up until you have reached it.

A walk begins with one step and then another and another. No matter how long your journey seems, if you take enough steps in the right direction, you will eventually arrive at your desired destination…and truly have the life you’ve always wanted.

Your Answer Is In His Word

I don't know about you, but often times, God's word is the last thing I turn to instead of it being the very first thing when I am faced with the issues of life. I often find myself frustrated and angry more than joyful and succeeding in life.

I only call on God and His word as the last resort because in my mind, I should have it all together by now and can handle any and all situations. But life has a funny way of proving me wrong day after day.

Life often shows me that I'm not altogher like I think I am. And as my life goes by one day at a time, I find myself being reminded of any coach that is worth it's salt telling it's players if things aren't working it's time to go back to the fundamentals and there isn't anything better or needed as the word of God, it covers all, destroy's all, and wins the game all the time.

God Bless.

Your Answer Is In His Word

Proverbs 4:20–22
20My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart;22for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.

God has given us a sure way to receive the answers to our problems and challenges. It is His Word. Every answer or solution we need is found in the Bible.

Yet, many Christians are not walking victoriously in certain areas of their lives. This is because the devil continuously wages a war of distraction against them. He has managed to take them away from the one thing that can bring them victory — the Word. He will do everything possible to prevent them from opening the Bible because he knows that the Word will deliver them.

The distraction can be very subtle: A lot of things to get done, a lot of TV programs that interest you, or it may take the form of a big problem that makes you feel that you need to focus all your attention on it. The enemy knows that if he can get you to take your eyes off the Word of God, he can keep you from winning the battle.

When you are going through a tough time, it is not enough to know that God’s answer to the problem is “somewhere in the Bible”. Find the scripture in which God has promised the solution. Meditate on it until the truth of that scripture is revealed to you. When you do this, no demon or devil can prevent that word from God from bearing fruit in your life.

Even Jesus Himself used the Word to defeat the devil in the wilderness — “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (Matthew 4:4) The way to defeat the enemy is with “It is written…”

My friend, there is no substitute for the written Word. God tells us that we will find life and health if we give our attention to His Word and keep it in the midst of our hearts. So get into the Word and let God’s promises abide in you.

Every answer we need is found in God’s Word.

Jesus Lived A Life Of Thankfulness

Have you ever wished you could become a time traveler? Still live in this same time with all the modern convinces yet have the ability to go back in time to where Jesus was walking the earth? I have.

There are just some things I think would be eaiser for this Christian walk if I could actually see Jesus, hear Him speak the words of the bible, and see just what exactly was going on and then come back in my time line and live out what I saw in my time.

But unfortunately, that can't be done and I will just have to wait for the movie when I get to heaven.  So for now, all I have to rely on is His words, the bible, and my imagination. I must try to imagine what was going through His mind when He spoke on thankfulness.

Let's face it, He made it sound ridiculously easy! And here I am, struggling with what life has to offer me. I can assure you I live 30% in thankfulness and I know my life could be so much more if I would live in thankfulness a little more, but I'm human and I let human things get in my way.

But this little devotional gives me what I need to live a completely different life. I life with that calls for a little more thankfulness!

God Bless.

John  11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

Topics: Prayer Keywords Prayer(s) , Provision , Miracle(s) , Five Loaves And Two Fish , Give Thanks , Lazarus Scripture Reference John See The Miraculous When You Give Thanks
Jesus lived a life of thanksgiving. He always thanked His Father for what He had and for always hearing Him when He prayed. That was how He released miracles in His life. In the story of the feeding of the five thousand (John 6:1–13),

Jesus’ attitude was one of thankfulness. He took a little boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish, gave thanks and had them distributed. He gave thanks for the little that was there and the little multiplied. Not only did the people eat as much as they wanted, there were 12 baskets full of leftovers! So when you see the meager balance in your bank account, thank the Lord for what you have.

That’s your “five loaves and two fish”. When you give Him thanks that He is your provider and the source of your supply, in spite of the little you have, your little will become much, with leftovers! Even when faced with the impossible, the solution was still, “Father, I thank You…”

When Jesus stood outside Lazarus’ tomb, and the people took away the stone that was covering the tomb, He did not see the situation as hopeless and impossible. He simply lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.” Then, He proceeded to call forth Lazarus, and the man came forth alive once more! The raising of Lazarus, who had been dead for more than four days, was one of Jesus’ greatest miracles.

And He accomplished this by saying, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.” He thanked His way to an awesome miracle. My friend, the next time you find yourself praying, “God, please do this for me!

Please give me...” stop! Instead, say, “Thank You God, for hearing me. And because You have heard me, I thank You that I have what I asked for.” And when you thank God, the little that you have will multiply. Your impossible situations will turn around to reflect God’s provision. And resurrection life will hit you!

Thought For The Day When you give Him thanks for the little you have, your little will become much, with leftovers!

I Declare And I Decree

I love, love, love this devotional. The following devotional talks about what you need to declare and decree in your life.

I have never come across a more complete list of what you should be saying about your life and how much value you should be see in it.

This declaring and degree isn't something oooie or gooie, but right on point and I wanted to share it with you. Could it be, once we find out the true value of our self worth and what God see about us, we might change the way we think and act?

Could we just might change the world once we stop hating what we don't like about ourselves and start seeing people through God's eyes? I think it just might be possible and I'm ready to declare and decree somethings over my life so I can move on and finish the race a winner and bringing people with me.

God Bless.

I Declare and I Decree

We here at DOTK believe with all our hearts that the power and authority of God’s word will saturate you completely, making you rise up to stand firm in Jesus. For the voice of the Lord goes forth and will not return void. May you dwell richly in the house of the Lord forever, knowing the Father is with you and will never leave you. He will do what He has promised.

Please repeat these declarations of truth out loud today:

I Declare and I Decree:

1. I am the righteousness of God and He stands with me.
(2 Corinthians 5:21)

2. I’m under the blessings of the Lord and no longer under the curses of the world. (Deuteronomy 28:1-14)

3. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3; Psalm 139:14)

4. The words of my God will stand forever and will live forever. (Matthew 24:35)

5. The joy of the Lord is my strength. (Psalm 16:11)

6. Nothing will be impossible with my God. (Luke 1:37)

7. If God is for me, then who can be against me? (Romans 8:31)

8. I am the Lord’s beloved child. No evil shall prosper that rises up against me, in Jesus name. (Isaiah 54:17; 1 John 3:1; Ephesians 1:3-6)

9. The Lord is my refuge and strength. He will deliver me from all my troubles. (Psalm 54:7; Psalm 34:19)

10. I can and will do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4: 13)

11. I am chosen and set apart for the Lord’s workmanship and good works. (1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 2:10)

12. I stand on the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Chief Cornerstone, and will not be shaken by anyone or anything. (Isaiah 28:16; Ephesians 2:2; Hebrews 12:27)

Prayer: Father, thank You for reminding me of who I am in You. Thank You for Your precious promises that speak life directly to my heart. Thank You for never ever failing me. I praise You at all times. You’re above all, in all, and through all things. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

See The Work Accomplished

I love the following devotional. It encourages and puts perspective into my faith walk. And that is something I desperately need.

I can't be the only one who has questioned this faith walk. I can't be the only one who has and does get angry with God for how things are going in my life. I can't be the only one who wants to know when things are going to be different in their lives.

This little devotional helps, gives encouragement, and perspective into this faith walk. In a time I needed something this little devotional came across my path at the right time and has helped set my course for the race I am in.

God Bless.

See The Work Accomplished
John 19:30
30So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

What do you see when it comes to healing for your sick body, restoration for your failing marriage or breakthroughs for your financial woes? Do you see a finished work or a work that is yet to be completed?
God wants you to know that what you desperately need Him to do for you has already been done! Jesus’ finished work at the cross so satisfied the Father’s heart that from heaven’s throne came the pronouncement,

“It is done!” (Revelation 16:17) in response to Jesus’ cry, “It is finished!” on earth. So God wants you to have this revelation that whatever you need Him to do for you has already been done because Jesus has accomplished it all for you.

If you need healing, know that your healing has been accomplished. If you need restoration for your marriage, know that your restoration has been accomplished. You are not going to die from any lack — you have been abundantly supplied. All these things have been accomplished, not by you, but by Christ alone!
My friend, if you are bothered by a pain in your body, God wants you to see your healing finished or accomplished for you by His Son’s death on the cross. If it is a loss or debt you face, or a certain sin that you are struggling with, believe that your provision, restoration and deliverance have been accomplished for you.

Don’t worry about what you see or feel, or the presence of contradicting reports. These are lying symptoms and though they may seem very real, they are temporal and not the truth. God’s Word is the truth and it will remain because it is eternal. And when you believe that only what God’s Word says about your situation is the truth, all the lying symptoms will eventually have to line up with His Word.

God the Son says, “It is finished!”

God the Father says, “It is done!”

What do you say?

Thought For The Day
Whatever you need God to do for you has been done because Jesus has accomplished it all for you at the cross.

Grieving The Holy Spirit

Okay, I got to be perfectly honest here. When I was a little girl and I read the scripture about grieving the Holy Spirit and the possiblity of Him and Jesus and God turning their backs on me scared the living crap out of me.

And too this very day, that scripture is never too far from my mind. I also have to admit that some of my actions in life has been because of my fear of greiving the Holy Spirit and not true actions beacuse I wanted to do them.

Now that I am older and wiser, I hope I have learned that my fear should no long guide my way but the Holy Spirit should and in that, the knowledge of knowing I could never really grieve Him becauase I'm living, and have my being in who He is.

And I'm sure there is more to the fact of greiving the Holy Spirit but for me, this little devotional encourages me to keep putting Him first and life might be good after all.

God Bless.

Grieving the Holy Spirit Scripture Reading: Ephesians 4:17-32 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. - Ephesians 4:30

Most of us dislike disappointing someone or making them sad. But if we don’t like to disappoint or sadden others, we should really hate to disappoint God. Disappoint God?

Yes, we can disappoint, grieve, or sadden God the Holy Spirit. That we can sadden the Holy Spirit teaches us something important about him. Although the Bible uses some impersonal images of the Holy Spirit (such as wind, or a dove), the fact that the Spirit can be grieved reminds us that he is a person and not some impersonal force. How do we grieve the Holy Spirit?

We do this by failing to live holy and righteous lives. Paul reminds his readers—and that includes us—that they should no longer live like unbelievers in the darkness and “futility of their thinking.” All who believe have been purchased with the precious blood of Jesus, and now they are called to live in his light. Living in Jesus’ light means following him in our thoughts, words, and deeds. That we can grieve the Holy Spirit implies that we have a certain power over him. This is not power to manipulate, but to cooperate—or not. Do you want to work with the Holy Spirit in the world today?

Don’t grieve him. Instead, work with him by living in holiness and righteousness as a witness for God’s glory. Prayer: Holy Spirit, please forgive us when we grieve you. Help us to follow Jesus today in our thoughts, words, and deeds. Amen.

God Will Strengthen You When You Are Tired

Tired doesn't even begin to discribe how I'm feeling lately. Over the past six to ten months, my family and I have been hit with one thing after another. Some say it's a trial of massive proportion but I"m not so sure. I have sat many of nights alone in my room questioning God and wondering what I've done to make my life suck.

I haven't gotten my answer yet but to say that I'm tired is to say the least. I don't know what on earth is going on or why but tired has become my new motto and excuse for everything. I'm not proud of myself but it is what it is.

So when I came across this little devotional, I see a light at the end of the tunnel and I would be selfish to keep it to myself.

God Bless.

God will strengthen you when you’re tired.

Friday, August 05, 2016 9:03am “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10

You might say, “Lord, I’m tired.”

Maybe you’re tired of serving and helping others, tired of seeing the horrible state of our world, tired of seeing loved ones leave here too soon, tired of going to church and not seeing His glory, tired of not seeing enough done to help the hopeless and helpless. Throughout history, men and women of God experienced weariness of heart. They had to go to God to strengthen them, and just as He was with them, God is with you. Just as He was their strength, He will be your strength too.

He will uphold you by His right hand. He will help you go a little farther. He will help you walk by faith when nothing makes sense. He will help you by His Holy Spirit to keep standing for righteousness. No matter how tired you feel my sister, keep towing.

Keep your hands to the plow. Keep seeking God for His wisdom and keep receiving His supernatural strength. He will cause all grace to abound towards you. He will fill you completely and will be your fuel. He will renew and refresh you. He is your strength. Prayer: My Father God, I’m tired. I ask that you strengthen me according to your word. That’s all I need is your strength. Without it, I can’t walk another mile. Without your help, I won’t last another day. I need you God more now than ever. Refuel me. Resettle me. Renew me. Refresh me. In Jesus’ name.

Amen.

Meditate on this today: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

Who's Number One?

I really want to give back to people and live for others but I can honestly say, I'm nowhere near this goal. And one of the things I want to accomplish in my lifetime is overcoming my selfishness. I have to be the most selfish person on the planet.

I'm not very happy with my life. In fact my happiness level is about 67%. This is a sad fact. I want to know what true love and helping others is really about but I just can't seem to overcome my biggest obsticle, me. I just know when I stand in front of the of the judgement seat and see the account of my life, God will personally escort me to the exit sign of heaven.

But I have not lost all hope. This is a struggle for me and one I hope will be conquered with the help of Jesus. And when I came across this little devotional, I knew God had heard my prayers and I wanted to share it.

God Bless.

Who's Number One?

by Joyce Meyer

Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity." Luke 6:38, The Message

Sometimes we tend to live “backwards”—exactly opposite of the way we should live. We live for ourselves and yet we never seem satisfied . We should live for others – give away our lives - and learn the wonderful secret that what we give away comes back to us multiplied many times over.

When somebody wants to be “number one,” it automatically means a lot of people will be disappointed. Only one person can be the number one runner in the world; only one can be the president of the company or the best-known actor or actress. Only one can be the top author or the best painter in the world. While I believe we should all be goal-oriented and do our best, I don’t believe we should want everything for ourselves and care nothing about other people.

I have lived long enough to try a variety of ways to be happy and have discovered by process of elimination what is effective and what is not. Self-focus and striving to be number one at others’ expense does not make life work the way it was intended to work and is definitely not God’s will for our lives. Instead, He wants us to be aggressive about loving others and helping them get ahead.

Love must be more than a theory or a word; it has to be action. It must be seen and felt. Love is and has always been His idea. He came to love us and to teach us how to love. When we do this, life is exciting, beautiful and rewarding.

Love Someone Today: Lord, help me not to disregard or compete with others in an effort to be number one. I pray for opportunities to show love to others by helping others get ahead and reach their goals in life.

Recieve The Word God Has Sent To Heal You

The following devotional starts out with a statement about leaving your bible on the bedside table gathering dust. Sometimes I found myself doing just exactly that.  Okay, more often then not. Another thing I am not proud of is not truly understand what the word says about a subject.

I'm not too keen on studying it and I know that is a lot of my problems. Also, and the biggest factor for my life being a complete mess is just as the title states. I don't allow the word of God to heal my life, my hurts, my body, and everything in between.

I have had some good days where I've been a doer and a receiver of the word but most of the time, I've allowed myself to get frustrated. I think somewhere in my subconscious, I have made a vow to stop being my own worst enemy and get my act together and live for Christ proving your never to old or your service for Him is never in vain, and I'm a true testimony that His mercies are new ever morning.

God Bless.

Receive The Word God Has Sent To Heal You

Psalm 107:20
20He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Your Bible will do you no good if you leave it on your bedside table, gathering dust. It will do you no good if you hold it like a teddy bear when you are facing your “giants”. But God’s Word will do you a lot of good when you receive it as truth and speak it as truth! Then, you will see your healing and deliverance from every evil condition that has been sent to destroy you!

The Bible says that “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”. Now, when God wants to heal you, what does He do? He sends His Word. Before God delivers you from your destruction, He sends His Word.

Are you still waiting to experience the blessing of healing that Jesus died on the cross to give you? Don’t feel condemned. Your Father in heaven loves you and wants you well. But how does your healing come? By you receiving His Word on healing that He has already sent you. His promises of healing are all there in your Bible. But have you received them?

During one of our church services, a lady took out her cell phone and started sending text messages of every scripture and almost every key point that I was preaching that day to her friend who was at home dying of cancer. I was telling the congregation to keep confessing the healing scriptures over their bodies, no matter how bad their conditions were. I pointed them to Isaiah 53:5, which says, “By His stripes we are healed.” The lady got so excited that she told her friend to keep believing and confessing it every day!

Her friend, on reading the text messages, simply received the Word of God and confessed it by faith. That very same week, when she went back to the doctor, the doctor could not find a single trace of cancer in her body!

Never underestimate the power of God’s Word. The lady’s friend was healed because she received God’s Word by faith. She gladly read the messages that her friend had sent her, was encouraged by the Word, confessed it and received her miracle. God sent His Word and healed her, and saved her from her destruction!

Thought For The Day
When you receive God’s Word as truth, you will see your healing and deliverance from every evil condition sent to destroy you!

A Spiritual Gift

I don't know about you but I find it hard to find someone who knows about spiritual gifts and are using them correctly.

There is nothing more that I want in my life is for everything God has for me. I can honestly say that I haven't even come close to reaching the smallest amount.

But that doesn't stop me from pressing forward and keeping me from learning all about God and what He has to offer including the spirtual things.

So when this little devotional came across my path, I got so encouraged and I wanted to share it with you.

God Bless.

Goodness And Mercy

When I was little, I grew up listening to a song that spoke about the goodness and mercy of God. And to tell you the truth, I didn't have a clue what any of those words meant.
And even more disturbing, this late in life, in my Christian walk, I really don't have a handle on what those two words mean today. Yes, I'm a joke, a failure, and a horrible human being who lets the world and her emotions get to her.

However, I am constantly working on me and working out my salvation and when I come across something that will help in my journey of life, I hold on to it for dear life. This little devotional spoke volumes to me and I hope it will do the same for others.

God Bless.

Goodness and Mercy
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalms 23:6
Two people knocked on the door of her home. Staring at them through the crack of the door, she asked, “Yes, can I help you?” They said, “We have been assigned to follow you everyday for the rest of your life.” She laughed, “You want to do what!?” They said, “Our names are Goodness and Mercy and your Father in heaven has sent us here to follow you wherever you go.” She was cautious. Life had taught her some hard lessons about trust. As she stood there, she could see Corruption and Disdain lurking behind the trees, with a sneaky grin on their faces. She was all too familiar with them and had just kicked them out of her house. However, they knew if she didn’t receive God’s Goodness and Mercy into her home, they would find their way back into her life eventually.
She stood there. Then she whispered to herself, “If anyone is going to follow me, it won’t be Corruption and Disdain. No, it won’t be what I’ve always experienced in my past.” She then fully opened the door—as wide as it could open, and Goodness and Mercy came into her home and closed the door behind them.
Whenever she stumbled, Mercy was there to pick her up and dress her wounds. Mercy helped remind her of the Father’s love regardless of her many mistakes. Whenever she faced a trial, Goodness was there to help her gather all the treasures that came from it. Goodness was always excited about the Father’s expected end for her.
Through the years, their friendship grew. They followed her through every moment in her life, every joyous victory and every heart-wrenching tragedy. They were there and never left her side. And when her time had come, she took her last breath, Goodness and Mercy picked her up and escorted her to her heavenly home where she would live for eternity with these two heavenly servants and her heavenly Father.
Prayer: Father God, yes, I receive your Goodness and Mercy in the home of my heart. I open the door as wide as I can to you. Heal every wound and cause me to gather all the treasure after every trial I face. Until I take my last breath, be with me and be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
