Tired doesn't even begin to discribe how I'm feeling lately. Over the past six to ten months, my family and I have been hit with one thing after another. Some say it's a trial of massive proportion but I"m not so sure. I have sat many of nights alone in my room questioning God and wondering what I've done to make my life suck.
I haven't gotten my answer yet but to say that I'm tired is to say the least. I don't know what on earth is going on or why but tired has become my new motto and excuse for everything. I'm not proud of myself but it is what it is.
So when I came across this little devotional, I see a light at the end of the tunnel and I would be selfish to keep it to myself.
God Bless.
God will strengthen you when you’re tired.
Friday, August 05, 2016 9:03am “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10
You might say, “Lord, I’m tired.”
Maybe you’re tired of serving and helping others, tired of seeing the horrible state of our world, tired of seeing loved ones leave here too soon, tired of going to church and not seeing His glory, tired of not seeing enough done to help the hopeless and helpless. Throughout history, men and women of God experienced weariness of heart. They had to go to God to strengthen them, and just as He was with them, God is with you. Just as He was their strength, He will be your strength too.
He will uphold you by His right hand. He will help you go a little farther. He will help you walk by faith when nothing makes sense. He will help you by His Holy Spirit to keep standing for righteousness. No matter how tired you feel my sister, keep towing.
Keep your hands to the plow. Keep seeking God for His wisdom and keep receiving His supernatural strength. He will cause all grace to abound towards you. He will fill you completely and will be your fuel. He will renew and refresh you. He is your strength. Prayer: My Father God, I’m tired. I ask that you strengthen me according to your word. That’s all I need is your strength. Without it, I can’t walk another mile. Without your help, I won’t last another day. I need you God more now than ever. Refuel me. Resettle me. Renew me. Refresh me. In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Meditate on this today: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
