Isaiah 53

Want to get a small taste what the Isaiah has to say about what it will be like when Jesus returns, well, here is just a sample.
Need more, which I hope you do, open the book of life called the bible and get to know the soon returning King.
God Bless.
Isaiah 53:1-3
Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Here in Isaiah 53, prophetic language is used to describe the coming of Jesus Christ, and what that means for human kind. "The arm of the Lord" will be physically unremarkable, rejected, one who experience pain, and one who was considered insignificant. If you believe in Jesus, you realize that at some point in your life you have rejected Him, caused Him pain, or considered Him insignificant. The Holy Spirit works tirelessly in our lives to destroy the lies and reveal the truth to us: that we are sinners in need of a Savior, and that Savior is Jesus!

Look! I'm Sending My Messenger

Love, love, love this little prayer. May we all scream to the heavens,
Send me, dear Lord, send me!
God Bless.

Verse of the Day “Look! I am sending my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. Then the Lord you are seeking will suddenly come to his Temple. The messenger of the covenant, whom you look for so eagerly, is surely coming,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.– Malachi 3:1 (NLT)
Prayer Abba, Father, right now I lift my heart to You. You are worthy to be praised! I will bless You in the midnight hour knowing that You are good, and You have victory and freedom in store for me God, our Creator, thank you for forming us from the earth and giving us work to do on the earth. Thank you for breathing into us your own breath, the breath that gives life. Help us, Lord, to understand and live out our full identity. May we contribute wisely and productively to this world. May we do so by the life and strength you give us. May we be fully your people in all we do, living for your purposes and glory. It is hard enough when people find fault with me for what I do wrong, let alone when I am trying to do what is right. Make their insults bounce off me like water off the duck’s back. Strengthen me in Your will and way. Lord, today I thank You for Your hand of victory and blessing that is on my life. Today, I shake off the past, I shake off failure, I shake off poor choices and trust that You are restoring me and leading me into the plan You have for me.
Gracious Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. Thank You for restoring my soul and leading me beside still waters. Today, I recommit my life afresh and anew. Help me follow Your commands and leading in every area of my life. Lord, we are looking for Your coming in the clouds of glory. Come quickly! Amen Bible Promise of the Day Do not Fear! God Promises that He will uphold with His right hand So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Make Time With God A Priority

Preach it! Prioritize it! Then spread it like wild fire so others may see the hope of glory in you!
God Bless.

Make Time with God a Priority
by Joyce Meyer
Then Jesus, knowing that they meant to come and seize Him that they might make Him king, withdrew again to the hillside by Himself alone. —John 6:15 If the devil can’t convince you to be idle and passive, he will drive you to do too much. As soon as you are out of balance, he can devour you (see 1 Peter 5:8). The word disciple comes from the word discipline. To be a disciple of Jesus, you must discipline yourself to follow His ways. Jesus spent a great deal of time going about doing good for people, but He balanced His time by getting alone to pray and commune with the Father. Time with God renews your strength to do good things that you want to do for others. Live a balanced life by spending time with Him.

The Lord Remembers Us

Truth bomb alert for all walks of life. May anyone who reads this will be encouraged to know God really does know who we are.
God Bless.
“The LORD remembers us and will bless us. He will bless the people of Israel and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron” Psalms 115:12, NLT.
“You’ve been waiting, and you’ve been serving others. Because you know that I am good, you’re trying not to be discouraged. Because you know My character, you’re trying not to feel forgotten. I know you, My daughter. I see you, and I see your works. You have little strength, and you have a little joy. You are trying to hold on to My promises because you know I am faithful. Here’s My promise to you, I will remember you. Speak this from your lips. I will remember you. You don’t know how or when but know that I will remember you. Let these words fill you with joy and give you strength. I am good, I am faithful, and I will remember you. I love you with an everlasting love, and I will remember you. I am your God, and I cannot lie. I will remember you. I will cause you to reap where you have not sown. I will bless you and make you blessing. I will cause you to shine as bright as the noonday. I will remember you.” (Scripture references: Psalm 67:6-7; Psalm 98:3; Psalm 136:23; Hebrews 6:18; Jeremiah 31:3; Deuteronomy 6:10-11)

They Said His Body Was Missing

He is alive!!! Spread the word and be blessed.
They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! (NLT) -Luke 24:23
Jesus is alive! We no longer have to live in fear of death because God came down and proved that death was not the end of the story for our lives. God’s power goes beyond the grave and offers us an eternal hope. Are you living like He is alive? Like His power is real? Pray and ask Jesus to breath resurrection life into your heart and the hearts of those who don’t know him yet around you.

Keep Practicing Your Swing

“Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace” Psalms 37:37 Sometimes people misjudge others and think that their financial struggles are caused by poor financial management. Yes, that may be true in some cases. However, there are people in this world who are where they are financially because they simply do not have enough money to do what they need to do to get ahead in life. If they could pay down their debts they would, but every penny is needed to keep a roof over their head and food on the table to feed their children. They’re not materially poor because they’re irresponsible, ignorant or lazy; they lack opportunity, and if given the opportunity, you will watch them rise and go far. I compare it to someone who has never played baseball, but they’ve been practicing their swing for years. All they need is a bat in their hand and they will knock the ball completely out of the park. God is going to give you that bat in your hand and that opportunity you’ve been waiting for, my sister. He’s going to give you the open door you’ve been praying for, and when He does, seize it! Show them that you’re not lazy, you’re not ignorant and you’re not irresponsible! You are the right woman for the job and you’ve been practicing your swing! You’re going to knock the ball out of the park! People don’t know your situation, but they are about to see great manifestation of God’s glory in your life! Keep practicing your swing!

What Is Worship

The first line of this little devotional put's that question to bed. It's all about God.
Not what we can get out of it or what He can do for you but what we can do for Him.
We've lost our way if we think anything different. May we come back to the heart of worship.
God Bless.
What Is Worship?
Worship is all about responding to who God is and what He’s done for us. It’s about being so into God that we can’t help responding out loud or with our actions. Sometimes worshiping God is just about focusing on Him. When we can get quiet and find a moment when we aren’t paying attention to anyone or anything else around us, life’s distractions fade away, and we can pour all our love and affection out to Him. Here’s the thing, God doesn’t require some kind of perfect, complicated worship act. It doesn’t have to be all put together.
If that’s what you think, then you’re missing out on what worship is all about. He just wants it to be authentic and genuine. We should be so tuned into God that we’re seeing Him show up and move in our lives in big and small ways, so all we can do is worship and say, “Thanks, God. You’re so good, God.” It’s about who He is, what He does, and our response to those things. It’s not what we have to bring, or have to offer, or if we can get it right enough. Worship isn’t about us. It’s about Him.

Staying With It

This is a truth bomb if I have ever read one. Even though the author directs it towards women, this little devotional can be applied to everyone.
It would be easier to fold in the towel at times but one must become eternity minded instead of what is taking place in the moment; so stay with it for it will be worth it in the end.
God Bless.

“Staying with it
—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved. All during this time, the good news—the Message of the kingdom—will be preached all over the world, a witness staked out in every country. And then the end will come” Matthew‬ ‭24:13-14‬, MSG‬‬. If you are wanting to know what God requires of you in this day and time, He wants you to stay with it. Stay with the Lord who saved you. Stay with the Word that taught you. Stay with the spiritual family who welcomed you and who ministered to your needs. Stay with showing the love of Christ even in the face of turmoil and persecution. Stay with it, my sister. Don’t fold under the pressure.
Don’t walk away from it all. Let God help you to endure to the end. This is when you dig your feet in the sand and turn your face towards the wind and say, “Lord, I receive your help to stay with it, to stand for righteousness, and to endure. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Powerful Words Of Inspiration

Time for a refresher course:
The bible is the inspiration to all things and are words to live by.
Let us all get reacquainted with one of the  things that can bring the dead to life again.
God Bless.
Powerful Words of Inspiration
God’s Word is never static; it speaks differently to every person. Sometimes I read an old beloved Bible verse and all of a sudden the words inspire me in a way I have never experienced before. And every time it is the exact message I needed at that moment. The Bible takes my breath away each time I study it.  In Hebrews, the Word is compared to the scalpel of a surgeon—a Word full of power and energy that cuts deeply into our inner being and exposes our deepest motives. It leaves us “naked and exposed” (NLT) before God, from whom we cannot hide anything. It takes effort to experience the inspiration locked up in the Word. This means that you will need to set aside extra time for Bible study, use more than one Bible translation and invest in a Bible commentary or two (or three!).  It certainly requires more than just randomly opening your Bible to read a verse before starting your day. However, changing your quiet time habits will open up a pipeline of inspiration you never dreamed of.
Prayer Heavenly Father, how wonderful is Your Word! It is heavenly manna without which Your children cannot survive. I attest to the inspiration it is to me every day. Unlock Your Word for me anew through the working of Your Holy Spirit. Amen.

Truly, I Tell You

It truly is about the little things in life that can and will make a difference not only our lives but in others.
God Bless.
"Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward." (Mark 9:41)
Devotional
Christians do not give glory to God through praises only, but also by doing good works. Housewives especially tend to feel that they are doing nothing for the Gospel's sake that they are isolated from the world, and they are insignificant to God. Not so. Every choice you make to do the right thing, even though small, such as giving a cup of water has its reward. Women, take comfort in how valuable you are to God. You are laboring daily for the Gospel through patience and diligence, showing love to the Lord and your family.

Get Reappointed

Here is more wisdom from Joyce to live by....
It's time to get reappointed to the Man who hold the whole world in His hands.
God Bless.

Get Reappointed
by Joyce Meyer
We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; we are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed. - 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 All of us become disappointed when we have a plan that fails, a hope that does not materialize, a goal that is unreached. When things like that happen, for a certain period of time we experience a letdown, one that can lead to depression if it is not handled properly. That's when we have to make the decision to adapt and adjust, to take a new approach, to just keep going despite our feelings. That's when we must remember that we have the Greater One residing within us, so that no matter what may happen to frustrate us, or how long it may take for our dreams and goals to become reality, we are not going to give up and quit just because of our emotions. That is when we must remember what God once told me in just such a moment:
"When you get disappointed, you can always make the decision to get reappointed!" Disappointment often leads to discouragement, which is even more of a "downer." How disappointing and discouraging it is to see the things we love senselessly destroyed by others or, even worse, by our own neglect or failure. Regardless of how it may happen or who may be responsible, it is hard to go on when everything we have counted on falls down around us. That's when those of us who have the creative power of the Holy Spirit on the inside can get a new vision, a new direction, and a new goal to help us overcome the downward pull of disappointment, discouragement, and destruction.

Releasing The Weight Of Worry

There are times we all need to hear this so our faith can be renewed.
May we all learn to put worry in it's place so we can go and live our best life.
God Bless.
Releasing the Weight of Worry
by Joyce Meyer
And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? - Matthew 6:27
It is one thing to know that we should not worry, but it is quite another to be thankful for that truth and then actually stop worrying. One of the things that helped me let go of worry was finally realizing how utterly useless it is. Let me ask you: How many problems have you solved by worrying? Has anything ever gotten any better as a result of you worrying about it? Of course not. The instant you begin to worry or feel anxious, give your concern to God in prayer. Release the weight of it and totally trust Him to either show you what to do or to take care of it Himself. Prayer is a powerful force against worry. I’m reminded of an old gospel chorus called “Why Worry When You Can Pray?” When you’re under pressure, it’s always best to pray about your need instead of fretting or complaining about it.
Prayer of Thanks: Father, I thank You that I don’t have to live a life full of worry. I thank You that I can come to You in prayer the moment I begin to worry about something and I can cast my care on You. Help me make the wise choice to stop worrying and start trusting You today.

Make Time In Everyday Life

God tells us to number our day's and put Him in the center of it. But I am guilty of allowing life to get in the way but thankfully I have a God who has not given up on me like it appears I have given up on Him.
God Bless.
Make Time In everyday life, there are so many things pulling you in different directions. The TV will call out for you to watch it for hours. The iPad or computer will scream out for you to give it some attention. Homework will pile back up.
Friends will want to hang out. Teams will still rely on you. Parents will still require you to do housework. And before you know it, you’re swept away by the busyness of life. So many things always fight for your attention. Tasks and people will be trying to claw their way up to gain your attention. Things will be fighting for your worship, and in those moments it will be easy to put God on the back burner of your life and get to Him when you have some extra time. But we have to make sure we don’t let that happen. We can’t reduce a huge God to a hobby—something we just do and pay attention to on our spare time. We need to keep Him in the forefront of everything we do. He needs to remain at the center of our vision.
Everything else should hinge on and flow out of His being first in our lives. True worship is a whole-life response to how great you know God to be. It should be with everything we have, everything we are, and everything we do.

But Be Careful

Just a reminder about having other God's in our lives....
Remember, it usually doesn't end well when we do.
God Bless.
"But be careful. Don't let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the Lord and serve and worship other gods." (NLT) -Deuteronomy 11:16
Sometimes other gods can be our possessions. If we grasp and value our possessions more than others, such as our family and God, we have then allowed our possessions to control us. Value others over possessions. A good barometer can be to ask yourself if you would let others borrow your stuff. If the answer is "no" then you may want to reconsider owning it.

You Are Favored

You are favored just like the title said and if you don't believe me, well, I hope the words below will be of encouragement for you in some capacity in your walk with the Lord.
Cause God knows, we all can use some encouragement to live by.
God Bless.
You Are Favored
When the angel told Mary that she was favored by God, she was astounded. At first glance that would not be the first thing that came to mind: She was a simple young woman who grew up in a rural town, without status or education.
She was probably between thirteen and sixteen years of age, as that was the age at which young women typically got engaged and married in those times. God, however, sees her as mature and adequate enough to be the mother of His Child. Today, God comes to you with the same message—you too are favored by God. If you believe in Jesus, His favor rests on you. And because Jesus died in your place, you are now good enough.
This gift of love can change your life!  Just as it did for Mary, this message takes one’s breath away. As she did, we too realize we can never live up to the standards the Bible has set. But God makes it possible for us—and the angel reminds Mary that with God nothing is impossible (see Luke 1:37). God wants to use you in His plan, just as He used Mary. Reach out to the people around you with the love of God and be merciful to them as God is merciful to you.
Prayer Heavenly Father, how wonderful it is to know that I am blessed and favored by You, because of Your grace. Amen.

Everyday Worship

Love, love, love this.
Worship nowadays is like going to a concert in my opinion. Worship is lost is power.
And this little devotional brings the power back into what I believe worship really is. You can agree or disagree with me but my hope is you will find something helpful in your walk with the Lord.
God Bless.
Everyday Worship
So… at first Romans 12:1 sounds a little weird. Does the New International Version of the Bible really say to, um, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice? That sounds a little creepy doesn’t it? But when you seriously think about it and look at it, it’s an awesome way to live life. Because God send His Son, Jesus, to die for you—because God loves you so much—because God has done great things in our lives—our only natural response to all of that should be our everything. Our whole lives. So what should living your life worshiping God all the time look like? It can be as intense as spending an hour every day in quiet time listening and talking to God. It can be something as simple as when you step out on the field or in the gym or on the stage, you thank God for what you get to do!
You realize that it’s because of Him that you get to do it, and you want to do it so well because He’s allowed you to do it. Worshiping God in your everyday life could look like befriending that kid at school everyone else makes fun of because you know God loves that kid just as much as He loves anyone else.
Worshiping God in everyday life could look like setting an example for your siblings because you want to lead them in how you know God desires for you all to live. The reality is, worshiping God and putting Him first will look different for each and every person. You need to spend time with God, pray to Him, and ask Him to show you what your life’s worship should look like. Pay attention to His leadings and promptings in your life, and respond to them. Learn to prioritize your life and put Him first. Think about Him often.
Pay attention to the things God is doing in your life, and get excited about them—and share that excitement with others! Worshiping God daily isn’t something you do. It’s the way you live.

Rags Or Riches

This little devotional gives a strong warning and hope for tomorrow.
It's up to you how you interpret what it's saying to you.
My hope is you will find some kind of Godly wisdom that will help you make it through today's world.
God Bless.
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 23:1-9, 17-35
Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags. - Proverbs 23:20-21
Proverbs 23 offers wise advice: Be careful of chasing after riches, for they are soon gone. Be wary of eating too many delicacies and drinking too much wine. Not only will they make you sick; they will also trap you and drag you into folly. Beware of joining in with revelers and adulterers; the pleasures of sex and partying will only deceive you and ruin you in the end. Today, thousands of years later, the temptations of easy money, strong drink, sex, and gluttony remain powerful. And the results are the same as ever: ruined relationships, a life in shambles, addiction, and poverty.
Proverbs urges young people to listen to the warnings of their parents, to get wisdom and discipline—or they may end up stumbling through the streets, begging for a handout among cars stopped at a traffic light. If for some reason you have fallen into trouble in life, it’s not too late to turn around. God loves you, and his forgiveness is available for the asking.
“Be zealous for the fear of the Lord,” and there will be “a future hope for you.” If your heart is anchored in God’s love, “your hope will not be cut off.” You may not end up rich here on earth, but you won’t be reduced to rags. The riches of the good news of God’s salvation last forever!
Prayer: Without you, Lord, we are like a sinking ship, flashing out an SOS signal: “Save Our Souls.” Through Christ we ask you to save and renew us. Amen.

The Best Relationship You Can Have

As my dad used to tell his kids, it isn't about the one day, it's about what you do with the rest of the 364 day's you have left.
So, use them wisely and give your God relationship the attention it deserves.
God Bless.
The Best Relationship You Can Have
by Joyce Meyer
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. - Revelation 3:20
We have the great privilege of developing a relationship with God and inviting Him to be a vital part of everything we do, every day. That starts with simple prayer—just talking to Him and sharing your life with Him as you go about the things you have to do. Be thankful that His presence is with you, and include Him in your thoughts, in your conversations, and in all your everyday activities. When you let God out of the Sunday-morning box that many people keep Him in, letting Him invade your Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and all day Sunday as well, you’ll be amazed at what a difference it will make. Don’t try to keep God in a religious compartment; He wants to have free access to every area of your life. He wants to be involved in every part of your life. He desires an intimate relationship with you. Prayer of Thanks: I thank You, God, that You love me enough to want to be in relationship with me. I want to share every part of my life with You. Help me to remember that You are with me every minute of the day.

Kind Words Are Like Honey

This is truly a devotional to live by.
Word's matter. People matter. And how you interlace the two, shows just the kind of person you are.
Be that person. The person who has the ability to change a person's day by using your word's to bring people up so that the God in you can be glorified.
God Bless.
Kind words are like honey - sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. (NLT) -Proverbs 16:24
Do you know someone in your life that could use honest and truly kind words? Words have the power to build someone up. You have the power to make a real difference. People carry the words they've heard spoken to them throughout their lives. These words can build them up positively or tear them down. One thing is true, your words carry power. Be generous with your honey.

Where Prayer Fits

I just love how practical this little devotional is. I do not know who wrote this or what the coming day's were but what I do know is that when I saved this little devotional, I was in need of hearing something from the Lord that would benefit me in an area I struggle with.
And He did just that and I knew how much these words spoke to me and I just wanted to share the wealth.
God Bless.
Where Prayer Fits
There are a lot of people in the world, and many of those people deal with a lot of hard things.  Just turn on the news or open a social media app, and you’ll quickly be overloaded with information about pain and hurt in seemingly every country; it can be hard to know how you can help. But what if you could make a difference without traveling across the world or altering your daily routine?  The solution is simple: prayer. Your life is probably incredibly busy. But no matter what your day-to-day looks like, you can still make an impact with the time you do have by making a conscious effort to pray for people around the world throughout the day.
Just like everything on your schedule, prayer should seamlessly fit into your daily routine.  Take brushing your teeth, for example.  Dentists recommend brushing your teeth for at least two minutes. They also recommend things like flossing and fluoride. But maybe you only spend about 30 seconds on your teeth each morning.  Whether you’re passionate about your dental hygiene or just going through the motions, if you have 30 seconds, you can make a positive impact on the world through prayer. We know that God hears our prayers, because Scripture tells us “the LORD is close to all who call on him” (Ps. 145:18). So whether you have 30 seconds or 30 minutes, every time you pray, you’re choosing to draw close to God. And He’s drawing close to you too! Try sticking this prayer on your bathroom mirror as a reminder to lift up people around the world each morning:
Lord, thank you for the privilege of praying for others. I lift up the men, women and children around the world who are suffering. For everyone who feels burdened—by poverty, loneliness, conflicts or isolation—ease their pain. Draw them to You and to the hope that can only be found in your son, Jesus. Amen.   Over the next few days, we’ll explore other ways to easily incorporate prayer into your busy schedule.
Things to Ponder: How do you currently incorporate prayer into your daily life? Write down another 30-second prayer you could pray this week. No matter how bad the news is, nothing is out of God’s control. What’s something in your life you can surrender to Him?

Complete Your Work

What we need to do is get an unshakeable mindset that won't be wishy-washy when something happens that rock's us off of our feet.
The world is tired of wishy-washy christians. What the want and need are people who have an unshakeable faith.
God Bless.

Complete Your Work
by Joyce Meyer
Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work. - John 4:34
I believe the Lord wants us to finish whatever He calls us to do, even when it requires patience, preservation and hard work. God wants us to grow roots and learn to endure until the fruit of His promise is manifested. Be willing to endure patiently to see God’s plan take place in your life. If God has given you a vision of something He wants you to accomplish, keep doing whatever He has given you to do, even when the excitement for the work is over, and all the goose bumps are gone. If you don’t have a vision, ask God to show you something that you need to do, and then commit your work to the Lord until it is completed.

God Supplies All Your Needs

I think this is one of the biggest things to over come.
Trusting that God will provide.
It's hard. It's scary. And sometimes He supplies a little to close to the time you need it.
But that is why He is God and we just live in His world and not ours, although it would be easier or at least we think it would be.
The hardest thing to do is let go and let God be God when your heart and mind are screaming something totally different but in our heart of hearts, we know His way will be worth it in the end.
God Bless.
God Supplies All Your Needs
It’s so easy to become anxious about all the what-ifs tomorrow may, or may not, bring. But here, Jesus says exactly what to do in any given day or circumstance – seek God’s kingdom first and foremost. That means putting both palms up and saying “Okay, God, I trust You and believe that as I live out this day for Your glory and do what You lead me to do, You will provide everything You know I need.” That includes peace of mind that passes all understanding to rule in your heart.
Prayer of the day: Father, I give You praise and thanksgiving as I walk in faith believing that every need I am tempted to worry about is already fulfilled.

When You Let God Out

Here below is some great advice to live by.
God Bless.
When you let God out of the Sunday-morning box that many people keep Him in, letting Him invade your Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and all day Sunday as well, you'll be amazed at what a difference it will make.
Don't try to keep God in a religious compartment; He wants to have free access to every area of your life. He wants to be involved in every part of your life. He desires an intimate relationship with you!
