The God Who Cares

I have been going through old devotional's I saved and I came across this and knew I had to share it.

God Cares. No matter what we are going through and enough is said. Now let us take back our mind in this crazy battle we call life.

God Bless.

The God Who Cares

Over the next seven days, we will explore a reality that is so simple, we miss its profundity. Here it is: God hears us when we pray. It's that simple. And that profound. Unless we sit in this truth, we will miss how incredible and life-altering it is.

In 1 Peter 5, Peter tells us to humble ourselves before the Lord and to cast our cares upon him. He explains that we have an adversary who is attacking us and that Christians throughout the world are suffering. But in verse 7 he grounds his command to cast our cares upon the Lord in a simple truth: "because he cares for you."  How often do we take that short phrase for granted? Of course he cares for us! But think about it for a moment. Why should he? Don't forget that the same Bible that makes this statement also tells us that all human beings have rejected God (see Romans 1), that everyone has sinned and refuses to seek after God (see Romans 3), and that we are all dead in our sins (see Ephesians 2). There is no logical step between "we have all rejected him" and "he cares for us." And yet there it is. Illogical. But real.  Stop right now to consider: God cares for you. So? So cast your cares upon him. He cares about you, so he wants to hear what's concerning you. It's that simple. But this simple realization will change your life. Let it. Right this second, God is listening to you.

He cares, so he hears. Say something to him. What you say doesn't matter right now. Practice believing the reality that he is listening and he cares what you will say. Then say something. Anything. Because he hears.

You Are An Anointed

Whether you like the man or not, this little devotional holds some life gems to help make our walk and life better.

My hope is you get as mlm much out of it as I have.

God Bless.

You Are an “Anointed!”

by Kenneth Copeland

“[You hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from]—the Holy One.” 1 John 2:20, The Amplified Bible

We’ve thrown around the word anointing in religious circles for years without really understanding what it means. But if we’re to walk in the power of the gospel, we must let it become a reality to us. The anointing is God’s presence, His essence. It’s the thing that makes God be God. The anointing is God on flesh enabling flesh (you and me) to do those things that are impossible for flesh to do.

For instance, flesh can’t heal anyone. Even Jesus’ flesh couldn’t heal anyone. His flesh came from Mary. It was as human as hers. Yet His perfect, sinless flesh speaking the words of a perfect, sinless God, caused God’s Anointing to be upon Him without measure (see John 3:34). It’s not hard for our minds to grasp the fact that the anointing was upon Jesus. What’s tough to comprehend is that the same burden-removing, yoke-destroying anointing that was on Him is available to us. “Oh, Brother Copeland, that can’t be.

After all, our flesh is not sinless.” No, but God counts it that way if we’ll stay under the blood. That’s what grace is all about—giving us the anointing when we don’t deserve it! Our very name, Christians, means “the anointeds.” Just like Jesus couldn’t heal in His own flesh, neither can you. But in the anointing, Jesus did bring healing, and so can you. You see, everything you need to do today can be done in the Anointed One and His Anointing. His Anointing is on you, in you and all over you. Because of it, you have been enabled to do things you couldn’t normally do...whether it’s day-to-day responsibilities, or laying hands on someone and releasing the healing power of God. You can be and do everything God created you to be and do in His Anointing. You are an anointed! Speak the Word “I have been anointed and given an unction by the Holy One.” —1 John 2:20, The Amplified Bible

Sovereignty Of God

This is a great read and my hope is you will find something in it to help in dealing with your life as much as I have.

God Bless.

Sovereignty of God

The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will
- Proverbs 21:1

Jesus Christ is not only the King of kings, and the Lord of lords -- he is the President of presidents, the Sovereign over every sovereign. He rules in every place, no matter what form the local government takes.

There is not a prime minister, or a dictator, or a guerilla force, or a terrorist cell that is outside God's notice. No one is able to upset the immutable purposes of God or overthrow his supreme reign.

This is a great comfort, when we see that there are so many things outside of our own control. Whether it is a military coup in Africa or an election race in America, our hopes and plans are easily overthrown. But not so with God.

God has shown his power to overthrow human purposes, even of the most august and revered leaders on earth. He brought down Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Ahab, and Herod. He turned the heart of Pharaoh in Moses' day, Xerxes in Esther's day, and Saul of Tarsus in Ananias' day.

Dear believer, take heart. God is still on his throne, no matter what political or social or economic upheavals shake our world. The hearts of kings are still in his hand, and he is still turning them perfectly, according to his wise and good will.

The Word Treasure

This one forces you to think. But most of all, I hope this little devotional will inspire you and grow you closer to God.

God Bless.

Scripture:
“Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
Matthew 6:21 NLT

A Call To: Draw Near
The word treasure can evoke many images. One may think of an old pirate treasure of rubies, silver, and gold. There have been many treasure hunters who would devote their lives to this elusive loot. Some men and women have gone as far as losing their life in the peril of the search. When I read Matthew 6:21, it is sobering to realize that a wrong desire that becomes a strong desire can lead to the loss of my life. There is another word for such strong desires: it is called lust. Many of us are familiar with lust, especially in a sexual context. I once pictured lust as a spirit that lures the human desire beyond love or affection. It can become so strong that the pursuit of this false love can become exploitative. In today's culture, it is the very thing that destroys relationships, marriages, along with one's own life. For some, it's not another person we lust after; it's food, a pick-up truck, or shopping, or sultry series on Netflix.
We must be careful not to let false treasure lead us and lure us away from the real treasure in our lives. When we align ourselves with the pure desire for God, we then allow Him to be the fulfillment of that desire in our hearts. He is the only one who can quench that desire. Through the consistent reading of His Word, He supplies us with the answers we have been looking for in the wrong places.

Reflection:
Can you imagine if we pursued God with the intensity of diving for treasure at the bottom of the ocean, and the response we would get from our heavenly Father? The next time you are in worship, think about the time and energy it takes to pay for your dream car and think about how you can give more energy and time to praise God. Pursue Him and listen for His voice.  In times of silence, lean into what He has already spoken in His Word.

Praise +Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I ask that Your love and mercy move us to pursue You with greater intent. That we would search for Your voice in our lives as if it were the ultimate treasure. I pray that our hearts would be filled and healed by Your love. Let it overshadow all other desires so that our hearts become reliant on Your love alone.

It's Time For A Little Peace

If there is one thing I can think that the world needs more of is peace. There are just too much going on in this world that just cause your mind to go into crisis mode and for me, well, I'm sick of having a wishy-washy mind set that can cause havoc in my life.

So yeah, I'm over this so called chaotic life, mixed with unbelief, fear, and despair. I much rather start living life in peace and living as I'm already living my best life in heaven.

God Bless.

It's Time for a Little More Peace

Did you know that when you have lost your peace of mind, you have the power to regain it? Anytime you find that you are worrying, fretful, or anxious about anything, release the problem to God through a simple, heartfelt prayer and purposely think about something in your life that is good! Worrying is completely useless. It wears you out mentally, emotionally, and physically, and it doesn’t make your problem any better at all.
Peace of mind is valuable, and it is quite impossible to enjoy life without it. Seek and pursue the peace that is yours through Jesus Christ. Don’t be deceived into believing that you can’t help what you think, because you absolutely can. You can change your mind about anything! Practice “on purpose” thinking instead of being passive and merely waiting to see what thoughts fall into your mind.
I can share with you that I experience the same mental battles that many people do, and I have to practice having peace on purpose. You are a child of God, and His peace is in you. I recommend that you start recognizing the things that are stealing your peace and deal with them so they can no longer torment you.

Prayer:

Father, I love You very much, and I want to enjoy peace of mind. I know that worry is useless, but I often do it and I am sorry. Work with me and teach me how to trust You enough to enjoy Your peace at all times.

The Point To A Christian Life

The point to a Christian life or at least get help in understanding it can be found in this little devotional below.

May you find after reading the little devotional, your understanding of what it is to be a Christian is broadened or at least you find inspiration to keep on fighting the fight of faith.

God Bless.

Scripture:
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection of the dead.”  Philippians 3:10-11 NIV
A Call To: Draw Near
Ahhh, here’s the point of Christian life—“I want to know Christ.” To know Christ in every way! Earlier in this scripture passage, it talks about “not having a righteousness of my own,” but one based on Jesus and faith in Him only, not my own attempts to be good.  Knowing Jesus is more than knowing about Jesus. Knowing Jesus means trusting Jesus. Trusting He loves you and me.  Leaning on His sinless life and death on a cross to save us because we can’t …absolutely cannot save ourselves! Relying on His resurrection for new life inside our own souls now, and eventually a new life physically, just like Jesus, when we too, are raised from the dead. What a massive relief to know that I cannot save myself, but Jesus can and Jesus does. Now good days, hard days, all days become about abiding in Jesus.
Reflection:
In what area of your life do you want to know Jesus and abide in Him more fully?
Praise + Prayer:
I want to know You more, Jesus! I don’t want to keep You out of any area of my life. Instead, I want to know You in every single part of my life…good days and days where I am suffering. Help me trust and abide in You, knowing that Your death and resurrection life both save and sustain me. Thank you. Amen!

Quote Of The Day - I Dare You

I love this and I want to try to do these things Joyce has suggested.
It's not as if they are difficult to understand or do, it's just that the battle for the mind is sometimes more powerful than what you anticipate and if your not strong enough you become a causality of that battle whether you want to or not.
So, this is why, I can get behind something as simple as what Joyce suggests and with a lot of work and determination, I will become anbetter person than I already am for at least giving it a try.
God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer
“i dare you Slow Down and Use Your Mind Properly 1. Be determined to pay attention to the things around you, like flowers, trees, a child playing, or your family who loves you. 2. Commit to reading something that is not work-related for at least thirty minutes a day. 3. Get up twenty minutes earlier than you do right now and spend that time with God. Ask Him to show you how He wants you to use your time that day.”

Want To Bless Others?

After reading this, I can't help but wonder if we have done the whole blessing others thing all wrong or maybe my duh moment has been because I truly don't understand the blessing concept.

Have we made it to difficult so we just don't give it a second thought when we pass by people who may or may not be in need?

Or maybe, this little devotional caused my lightbulb moment because I am too selfish and I only care about what and who I want to.

Whatever the reason, I should be ashamed of myself as to taking the act of blessing others and putting it on the back shelve without really ever wanting to think about it again.

It only takes one person, one thought, and one action to change the world.

God Bless.

Want To Bless Others?

In our everyday lives we meet, greet, and chat with our friends, neighbors, and co-workers. These may be brief moments and the conversation is quick and easy. In this brief encounter, we may never know what is going on in their lives but we have an opportunity to speak life and blessing upon our friends and loved ones. When the Lord told Moses to address the priesthood with this blessing, we understand the force and divine impartation of this sacred verse. This is not a typical cultural saying or traditional pleasantry phrase, but it is a divinely granted blessing from heaven above to the recipient. Why not bless someone today and let God do His work?

Prayer: This day, Lord, let me be a channel of spoken blessing upon someone’s life. You know every heart and life circumstance of those I will meet today. May Your words bring life and blessing to those You send my way. Amen.

My Times Are In Your Hands

This is for all of us who just need to hear God say, I got you.

God Bless.

“My times are in Your hands…” Psalm 31:15, Berean Study Bible.

“Your times and seasons are in My hand. Your times and seasons change according to My plan. I know where you are and I know where I’m taking you. Every season is important. In every season you are learning more and more about Me and who you are in Me. Don’t rush through the seasons of your life. In the Winter, draw near to Me and receive My warmth. In the Spring, watch how I make everything new for you. In the Summer, the heat will not scorch you. I will protect you. You will not thirst if you drink from My well that never runs dry. In the Fall, things are shaken and fall away, but you will not be moved. You have received a kingdom that can never be shaken or moved. As long as you are in Me, you will be immovable like a tree. You have been planted on a firm foundation in Me and though seasons change in your life, I never change and nor will you. No matter the changing seasons, your faith in Me shall remain. Your spirit shall remain. Your hope in Me shall remain unchanging. Says the Spirit of the Lord.”

Chains Fall Off

I believe God has been pulling me to get out of my comfort zone and try to see the world and the people in it through God's eye's.

And I can see that this little devotional is a confirmation about where God wants to take not only me but all His children for the day's are drawing shorter and shorter before His return and He wants to rescue as many people as possible.

One person, one thought, one deed can change the world.

God Bless.

Chains Fall Off

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! (NLT) -Acts 16:25-26

Helping a friend in need may be just a simple act of kindness, but the importance here is about relationships. We don't necessarily think about "maintaining" relationships but rather directing our time to things that matter to us. Take a break from your busy life and think of a starving relationship you can feed. It could blossom into something so beautiful only God could have touched it.

Get Along With Others

Sometimes you just want to slap a person and wonder why on earth this person entered your life in the first place.

But before we go slapping people around, maybe it wouldn't hurt us to read this little devotional and keep it handy for all those times when you think a little slap could go a long way in helping people.

Let's be honest, sometimes I think God as why to much from us and if He really understood the issue, well He would let us slap the silly out of them.

But somehow, His way always seem to win with a little slip every now and again and when those times occur, I'm thankful for the words written below.

God Bless.

Get Along with Others

Adapted from the resource Starting Your Day Right - by Joyce Meyer

Guess what: we can learn to get along with people! Even though it gets really hard sometimes, with God’s help, it is possible. It’s especially important to learn to get along with our immediate family members and co-workers, because they’re the ones we do life with day in and day out. There are many informative books about personality differences to help us understand why people feel and act the way they do. Understanding can do so much to help smooth out strained relationships.

People make decisions differently. Some give an immediate answer, while others want time to think about things. Try to understand the people you see today. Ask God to show you ways to get along with them better. As you trust Him, He’ll guide your steps and give you favor with the people around you.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for being there for me as I navigate relationships. Please show me how I can understand and love others better. Help me to do what’s right in each situation, and then trust You with the outcome. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Adam...Had A Son

I found this little devotional over Christmas and forgot about it until I ran across it again and I can honestly say, I think the words found below can have a purpose anytime throughout the year.

I could be wrong but for me, I am grateful Adam had a son and he didn't have to wait for Christmas to share him with the rest of the world.

God Bless.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 4:25-5:5

Adam . . . had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. - Genesis 5:3

Adam and Eve must have been devastated when Cain murdered Abel (Genesis 4:8). Nevertheless, they continued to rely on the promise of God.

When Eve had another son, Seth, she said, “God has granted me another child . . .” The word for “child” here also means “offspring,” indicating reliance on the promise God had made (Genesis 3:15). Although we know salvation was a long way off, we can also see a glimmer of hope here, for as Seth grew up and also had children, we read, “At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord.”

We see another glimmer of hope where Seth is described as a son of Adam “in his own likeness, in his own image.” This reference echoes the words of Genesis 1:27, indicating that our gracious and faithful God and heavenly Father was renewing humankind.

As we celebrate the coming of Christ at Christmas and long for his coming again to complete the work of restoring God’s world, may we serve our Lord joyfully and call on his name each day. Knowing that God’s Son himself came to live among us to fulfill God’s promise of salvation, we can worship him with all our heart, singing, “O come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord!”

Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for the hope you give us in the coming of Jesus, our Savior. As we continue to struggle against sin in our lives and in the world, may we faithfully worship and joyfully serve you. Amen.

Rethink Prayer

An interesting read.

God Bless.

Rethink prayer.

Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God. - Mother Theresa

Many Christ followers struggle to have a decent prayer life. It can be hard for us because it’s easy to focus on the act of praying itself instead of focusing on God. Having an awesome prayer life is not the goal. Connecting with God and growing in our intimacy with Him is. Maybe this scenario is familiar: We start praying when life is hard. Then life gets easier, and we don’t pray as much because we don’t need God as much. But, something difficult comes across our path and we know we need to pray about it. We feel guilty about it because we haven’t prayed in a while and we assume that God is mad at us.  It’s time to rethink prayer.  Let’s think of prayer in light of our closest relationships. It could be a sibling, our spouse, or a best friend. Our communication with them is easy and natural. We might send a text message, make a phone call, or visit with them in person. Sometimes we have long visits and other times, the messages are brief. We usually don’t begin our conversation with this person like this:

“Dear Jenny, thank you for answering my call today. I am excited to talk to you. Let’s discuss...” Instead, we have this ongoing conversation that tends to just carry on to the next one.  If we will treat prayer like we treat that relationship with those closest to us, prayer will intertwine throughout all areas of our lives. It will connect the parts that we have disconnected from God. It will be an ongoing conversation we have with Him—filled with moments of gratitude, praying for others, and even sharing our frustrations. And if this conversation is ongoing, then truly, is there even a need to ever say “amen”? This doesn’t mean that we don’t show Him the honor He is worthy of. We don’t address Him with, “Hey dude...sup.” No, we live our lives where He is honored and worshiped and in doing so, our encounters with Him are far more genuine. He cares less about our words to Him and more about the place where the words came from. Our relationship with God will grow as we strive to have an ongoing conversation with Him. Both short and long prayers have their place. But we can’t just expect to get to know him in a five-minute segment each morning. We have to bring Him into our daily lives and allow Him to breathe His peace, hope, comfort, and guidance into every aspect of it. It’s time to rethink prayer.

Reflect Do you tend to pray once or do you talk to God throughout your day? What can you begin today to have an ongoing, daily conversation going with God? (Reminders, alarms, praying on the hour?) Write down any revelation that God speaks to you through today’s Bible reading or devotional.

A Reason To Sing

Everyone needs a reason to do something, anything.

If your having a bad day, sing. If it's been a bad week, sing. If it's been a bad month or year, sing.

Most of all let others aee you sing through your storm so they too may find the answer they are looking for to keep moving forward.

God Bless.

A Reason to Sing

John Blase

He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Psalm 121:4 Psalm 121 Psalms 120–122; 1 Corinthians 9 For a man who lives by a code, so to speak, it felt like a major failure. What’d I do? Well, I fell asleep. Our kids have a curfew to meet when they’re out for the evening. They’re good kids, but my practice is to wait up until I hear their hands turn the front doorknob. I want to know they’re home safe. I don’t have to do this: I choose to. But one night I awoke to my daughter saying through a smile, “Dad, I’m safe. You should go to bed.”

.
Despite our best intentions, sometimes fathers fall asleep at their posts. It was very humbling, and also very human. But that never happens with God. Psalm 121 is a reassuring song about Him as guardian and protector of His children. The psalmist declares that God who watches over us “will not slumber” (v. 3). And for emphasis, he repeats that truth in verse 4: He “will neither slumber nor sleep.” Can you even imagine? God never falls asleep at His post. He is always keeping watch over us—the sons and daughters and aunts and uncles and mothers, and even fathers. It’s not so much that He has to do this, but rather that, out of His great love, He chooses to. That promise is definitely something to sing about. In what ways do you sense God’s presence? When you don’t, what truths can you depend upon?

Father, thank You for Your constant care over our lives. We know that doesn’t mean a life absent of trouble, but rather a life held close by Your love and presence. Help us to confidently rest in the assurance that You’re always at Your post.

We Are Accepted

Just like the title say, we are accepted through Christ; thank you God!
This is a much needed little devotional. Be blessed from reading it.
God Bless.

We Are Accepted!
Jesus endured our rejection
that we might have His acceptance with the Father.

Rejection, simply defined, is the sense of being unwanted or the sense that, although you want people to love you, no one does. Or it can be the desire to belong to a group from which you feel excluded—it seems you’re always on the outside looking in. One reason that so many people today suffer from the problem of rejection is the form of our society and its pressures, particularly those causing the breakup of family life.
What is the opposite of rejection? It is acceptance. I love the last part of Ephesians 1:6, which says, “He [God] has made us accepted in the Beloved.” Jesus, God’s true and only begotten Son, was rejected so that we, who were unworthy rebels, might have His acceptance with the Father. The surest remedy for our problems is to believe that Jesus bore our rejection that we might have His acceptance with the Father.
God’s family is the best family. There is none equal to it. Even if your own family did not care for you—perhaps your father rejected you or your mother never had time for you—God still wants you. You are accepted. You are the object of His special care and affection. Everything He does in the universe revolves around you.
When God says that we are accepted, He does not mean that we are merely tolerated. We never take too much of His time. The only thing that upsets Him is when we stay away too long. He does not push us off into a corner and say, “Wait. I’m too busy. I don’t have time for you.” Rather, He says, “I’m interested in you. I want you. You’re welcome. Come in. I’ve been waiting a long time for you.”
Thank You, Jesus, for Your work on the cross. I proclaim that “God has made me accepted in the Beloved,” and He welcomes me. Jesus endured my rejection that I might have His acceptance with the Father. Amen.

Be God Loves Me Minded

Love this and we need to grab ahold of what is being said below. Oh how the world would see us in a new light if we just showed them what we already know, God loves us.

God Bless.

Be “God Loves Me” Minded

by Joyce Meyer

God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.
—1 John 4:16

I remember when I began my ministry. When I was preparing for my first meeting, I asked the Lord what He wanted me to teach, and what came to my heart was, Tell My people I love them.
“They know that,” I said. “I want to teach them something really powerful, not a Sunday school lesson out of John 3:16.”
The Lord reminded me that if people really knew how much He loved them, they would act differently than they do.
As I began to study the subject of receiving God’s love, I realized I was in desperate need of the message myself. I had a sub- conscious, vague sort of understanding that God loved me, but I needed deeper revelation. The love of God is meant to be a powerful force in our lives, one that will take us through even the most difficult trials without our ever doubting God’s love.
Power Thought: I am actively aware of God’s love for me.

Common Indications Of A Curse

Good stuff below and something we need to store away in our memory bank for future reference.

The curse should no longer have a hold on us only if we let it. So let's not let it.

God Bless.

Common Indications of a Curse

Jesus was made a curse that we might enter into the blessing.
I have compiled a list of seven common manifestations of a curse. Most curses do not concern one individual exclusively; rather, they usually concern families or larger communities. The essential feature of curses and blessings alike in the Bible is that they are passed down from generation to generation unless something happens to cut them off. I have dealt with people whose problems went back hundreds of years in family history.

On the basis of my personal observation, here are seven indications that usually signify the presence of a curse over your life or your family. If you experience only one of these, I would not say for sure there is a curse. But if several of them show up in your family, in different areas and in multiple generations, you can be almost sure that a curse is in place. These indications are the following: (1) mental and emotional breakdown; (2) repeated or chronic sicknesses, especially if they are hereditary; (3) repeated miscarriages or related female problems; (4) breakdown of marriage and family alienation, especially a family history of them; (5) financial insufficiency, if it is ongoing; (6)being known as “accident-prone”; and (7) having a family a history of suicides or unnatural deaths.
We will not dwell on the problem, but we will affirm the solution. Jesus was made a curse that we might enter into the blessing.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your work on the cross. I proclaim that for every indication of a curse in my life, Jesus’ death was the solution, for Jesus was made a curse that I might enter into the blessing. Amen.
