Unlikely Candidate To Make A Change
The story of Rahab is truly fascinating and one that needs explored more.
Like the title states, she was a woman on a mission to see not only change in herself but helped bring about that change.
Rahab is a story for anyone who thinks they are too far gone to be redeemed. Hope and life is possible.
God Bless.
Unlikely candidate to make a change
Rahab was considered an outcast. People then and now probably looked/look down on her because of the life she lived. Rahab was one of the bad girls in the Bible and perhaps seemed like the most unlikely person to make a change.
Rahab was a part of pagan culture and lived an unholy lifestyle, but she knew God was powerful and that He would deliver the spies from capture. She knew how the Lord made a dry path through the Red Sea. Basically, she knew all about the God that they served. Fear of the Lord caused Rahab’s response to Joshua’s men; she knew which side she needed to be on. Her faith persuaded her to tie a red garland outside her window, and she believed with everything in her that the men would come back and God would deliver her and her family. While the entire city was destroyed, Rahab and her family were saved. She turned away from her false gods, left her life as a prostitute, and trusted in the one true God.
I love Rahab. Rahab was clever, bold, and trustworthy; she was firm-willed and a woman of great faith!
God can use you in your mess if you are willing to come out of your mess. Some of you have made mistakes, like Rahab. I know I did. I remember my life before I found Christ; my lifestyle did not honor God. My heart was far away from the Lord, and I indulged myself by living my life on my own terms.
When I gave my life to Christ, everything changed.
When you give your life to Christ, He will turn your life around for His glory.
God is looking for people like Rahab — people who will leave their old lives behind to follow Jesus.
We are a generation of people who need to be bold for Jesus.

But By The Grace Of God
You are not your state. You are not your past. You are a daughter of the King. You know who God is, now be reminded today of who you are in Him.
Declare this today:
I am smart. I am important. I am a world changer. I am brave and courageous. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am beautiful. I am called by God to do great things. I am strong. I melt in His presence, yet stand strong in the face of adversity. I can’t stop running because Jesus didn’t stop for me. I am a finisher. I am the right woman for the job. I am a winner. I am so loved. I am richly blessed. I am rooted and grounded. I am abundantly graced. I am my brother and sister’s keeper. I am empowered to lead. I am an overcomer. I am more than a conqueror through Jesus. Greater is He that is in me than he that’s in the world. I am a daughter of the King no matter how I feel. No matter how it looks I will see His promises manifested in my life. I am patient and kind. I am truthful. I am hidden in Christ. I am an end time soldier in His army. I was born for such a time as this. I have what it takes. I am resourceful. I am wise. I wear God’s grace beautifully. I am who God says I am and I will do what He says I will do.
Prayer: Father, help me stay reminded of who I am in you. Help me not to let my problems define me. You define me, Lord. You are my God and I belong to you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Thankful During Difficult Times
May thankfulness become second nature even if you are not going through tough times
God Bless.
Thankful During Difficult Times
“Even when bad things happen to the good and godly ones, the Lord will save them and not let them be defeated by what they face.”. Psalms 34:19 TPT
Heavenly Father, I love You! Thank You for life, health, peace, joy and contentment. Lord, thank You for another day to simply show my gratitude. I know that Your love and peace abound. I ask that You remind me of that in difficult moments. Father, someone is having a difficult time, and I ask that You meet them where they are and stop defeat in its tracks. I ask that You lift up a standard against the enemy and allow love to fill their heart. Remind them that You are with them and despair is not their final destination. Lord, be with those who have lost loved ones and are grieving. Hug them with Your presence, Father, give them peace that surpasses their understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and strengthen them to trust You again. Lord, touch me. Fill me up with joy as I trust You. Remind me to seek You first and see everything else as additional. Guard my heart against defeat and secure my agenda in You. Soften the tough parts of my heart and refresh areas that life has corrupted. May the impact of Your presence be greater than the impact of every trial. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Worshiper God Wants
May we activate the Holy Spirit living in us by making worship a priority in our lives.
Worshiper God Wants
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. - John 4:24, NIV
God wants us to worship Him in spirit. What does that mean? It means we must be indwelt by the Holy Spirit. We must be born again. It also means we must worship Him sincerely, earnestly, with a right spirit, with a sweet spirit. We are to worship from the depths of our beings as we are continually occupied with God. Worship is not just the act of going to church because we always have or because it’s the thing to do. It is not just putting your body in a pew while your mind is elsewhere. It is not just smiling serenely on the outside while on the inside you are filled with unconfessed sin.
God also wants us to worship Him in truth. What does that mean? It means there is no way to God, no way at all, without coming through Jesus Christ Who is the Truth. It also means that we must base our relationship with Him on His Word, which is the truth. And to worship Him in truth means to worship Him honestly, without hypocrisy, standing open and transparent before Him.
Are you the kind of worshiper God wants?

People With The Worst Past
Most people underestimate the story of Rahab bit without her, we may not be living under the umbrella of forgiveness and grace.
Rahab is a story of not only redemption but one of hope and forgiveness and should be a sign for all of us who believe we are unworthy of any thing
Rahab is modern day love story between the sinner and the knowledge of what her Savior can do for a life gone wrong.
God Bless.
People with the worst past can create the best future.
In the Bible, Joshua sent two men into the city of Jericho to scope out the land. Out of all the people in the whole city, they ended up staying at the home of a prostitute named Rahab. Because Rahab was a harlot, many men visited her home. When the spies arrived at her house, she knew what her duty was, and she opened her home to them.
Once the king heard that spies were in the city, he sent his men to go find them, and the first house they searched was Rahab’s house. While the king’s men were searching, however, Rahab kept silent about the spies’ whereabouts. She was good at keeping a secret.
These days, if someone shares a secret, some people run and tell everybody or post it on their social media page. Rahab was different; she gave the spies her word. They told her, “If you look out for us, we will look out for you.”
Rahab didn’t allow how people viewed her to stop her from being obedient to God. She was a brave woman who risked her life to save the lives of Joshua’s men. While the streets were in an uproar with fear, calamity, and chaos, she kept her composure and put her trust in the Lord.
Fun fact: Rahab was part of the lineage of Jesus Christ!

Those Who Wait
I don't know who wrote this little devotional but it's full of wisdom and hope.
God Bless
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Your divine reversal is coming. Assume that God is at work. Move forward as if God is moving forward in your life. Give no quarter to the voices of doubt and fear. Don’t cower to the struggle. You can’t see God’s hand? Can’t make sense of his ways? That’s okay. Obey what you know to do, and be patient for what you don’t.
When the world seems off the rails, hold fast to this truth: God determines the course of history. He did in the days of Esther. He still does today. He is, according to 1 Timothy 6:15, “the blessed controller of all things.”

The Wicked Will Not Win
With all the wickedness happening in the earth today, one might wonder where is God?
The answer? He sees it all, nothing gets by Him. He will respond and when He does, the world will never be the same.
May God have mercy on the wicked people who is trying to control the world right now.
Hang on, He will never leave us.
God Bless.
Haman is the villain in the book of Esther. He lived inside a one-person world. Everyone else existed to bow down to him. Yet, his reign of terror came to an end in the dining hall of Xerxes.
The king asked Queen Esther what she desired. He’d asked this question before, and Esther had deferred. But now Esther said, “…grant me my life…And spare my people. For I and my people have been sold to be destroyed, killed and annihilated” (Esther 7:3-4). The king asked who had done such a thing. Esther replied, “Our enemy and foe is this wicked Haman” (Esther 7:6)! The guards hooded Haman’s head and took him into custody.
Our God is a just God. Nothing escapes him. No one escapes him. The wicked will not win.

Eliminate Worry From Your Vocabulary
Some good advice in the word's below.
Eliminate Worry from Your Vocabulary
I wonder how many times the statement "I'm worried about . . ." is spoken each day. Millions of people use this phrase, but what is the point of it? Does worry change anything? No. So why keep doing it?
Start listening to yourself and other people, and each time you hear "I'm worried," say to yourself, worry is useless, and I refuse to do it. If we thoroughly realize the foolishness of it, maybe we will stop saying it and doing it.
Instead of saying, "I'm worried," replace those negative, useless words with "I trust God." When you say you trust God, His power is released to work in your life. Study God's Word, remember His faithfulness to you in past situations, and be determined to stop wasting your time worrying.
Prayer Starter: Father, I trust you to help me not waste time worrying over things only You can fix! In Jesus’ name, amen.

A Privileged Position
As you read this little devotional, remember you are a friend of the most High God and He loves you.
A Privileged Position
"You are my friends if you do what I command."
- John 15:14, NIV
What could be a greater privilege than to have Jesus call us His friend? If I told you that the Queen of England was my friend, you would probably snicker. And rightly so. But if the Queen stated that, “Anne Lotz is my friend,” it would be impressive. It would indicate a relationship based on personal knowledge that she publicly affirmed.
Jesus did more than say you and I could call Him our friend. He promises He will call us His friends! Now that’s impressive! That’s a privileged position!

It May Feel
Just know, you are always on His mind, and He loves you more than you know, and He will never let you down.
God Bless.
It may feel as though God is not aware of the pain we are experiencing, but He is ever mindful of us. God cares about everything we are going through and He is not far from us. He is closer than we know! Jesus actually came to us and showed us how to think; we have the ability to think like He does. At potentially the most painful moment of Jesus’ life, his thoughts were on looking after others. Jesus made sure that his own mother was looked after and He made sure John was cared for. Jesus continued to look after others even as he was crucified on the cross. He chose to see the individual in the midst of his own pain. He has great concern for us today. He sees us and He all cares. Paul wrote most of his letters and encouragements from a prison cell. He is teaching us and showing us how to think right, even when things around us are not right. Getting our mind right leads to a right heart, then a right posture, and ultimately a right stance toward God.
Questions:
1. What is your mindset toward God right now?
2. What is your mindset toward others?

Keep It Real
Wow, I found this little devotional powerful as well as thought provoking.
Keep it real.
God isn’t going to get mad at you for being honest, so be authentic when you pray. Remember, nothing can separate you from God’s love. So if you’re not sure what to say, tell God that. If you’re frustrated about a situation, say so. He wants you to approach Him with confidence and boldness.
Talk to God about a concern you have right now. Try saying:
I’m struggling with…
I need help with…
I don’t understand why…
I’m
sure what to pray for?Talking to God doesn’t always feel easy, but if we want to know God more, then we need to know how to talk humbly and honestly with Him. Here are three things that may encourage you as you draw near to God through prayer. Pick one or two points that stand out to you, and use them to create a Prayer in YouVersion. 1. Keep it simple.God isn’t concerned about how eloquent your words sound—He just wants to spend time with you. Some of the best conversations with God happen when you simply share what’s on your mind and then give Him the space to respond. Try asking: God, what should I do about … ? God, what do You think about … ? God, would You … ? God, why did this … ? Keep it real.God isn’t going to get mad at you for being honest, so be authentic when you pray. Remember, nothing can separate you from God’s love. So if you’re not sure what to say, tell God that. If you’re frustrated about a situation, say so. He wants you to approach Him with confidence and boldness. Talk to God about a concern you have right now. Try saying: I’m struggling with… I need help with… I don’t understand why… I’m frustrated because… Keep showing up.Praying might feel awkward at first, but the more you do it, the easier it becomes. This week, continue to make prayer a habit by having at least a 5 minute conversation with God every day. Here are some conversation starters: I’m hoping for… I’m thankful for… I’m excited because… Today, I noticed… -Author Unknown |

Hope And Future

Confess, Proclaim, Degree
Thought provoking yet rather a simple concept to understand.
My you find something for you to grasp ahold of to help strengthen your faith.
God Bless.
Confess, Proclaim, Decree
What exactly does it mean to “decree” and how is it different from other declarative prayers such as confessions or proclamations?
When you confess, you are admitting or testifying. In the New Testament, the word confess means to acknowledge or state a personal belief, to testify about what you believe. Believers confess their sins to God and sometimes to each other. New believers confess their faith before witnesses prior to being baptized in water. When people are called to confess in court on a witness stand; they testify to the truth under oath. Confession is powerful, but they are not the same as decrees.
To proclaim means to announce something officially or publicly, like a herald. While confession is often personal or even private, proclamation is public and much bolder. Proclamations are stronger and more official than confessions in their delivery.
A decree is different from either a confession and a proclamation in that it is brought forth through governmental initiation, an official order issued by a legal authority. This means that decrees carry much more authority than confessions or proclamations, especially when they are made in the name of the King of kings. There is no authority greater than that of Christ Jesus, and when you speak His Word, it carries incomparable weight and power. It will not be revoked!
The Bible is a book of God’s written decrees that we can, in turn, decree with authority. Decrees made in the name of Jesus are always based on the truth found in God’s written Word and are spoken with the bold, official, governmental, Kingdom authority that has been granted believers through Christ.
We must handle our words carefully, lest they not only bring blessings but sometimes curses, as we see throughout the Old Testament. We tend to speak out of whatever we are most governed by, whether that is instability and fear or the peace and confidence of God. We must choose the way of life daily so that we can decree God’s Word effectively.
Decree Godly Character:
I choose to walk worthy of the Lord in every respect, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good deeds which God prepared beforehand that I should walk in them.
