Trust God For Change

Amen! It's time.

God Bless

Trust God for Change

Many people have been hurt so much in life that, after so many disappointments, they don’t think they can face that kind of pain again. So, to save themselves from being hurt, they simply refuse to hope or to believe that anything good will ever happen to them. That kind of toxic thinking results in a negative life. But God wants us to trust Him that all things are possible. He wants us to know that no matter what has happened in the past or how long we have been thinking toxic thoughts, we can change. We can have the life that Jesus died to give us.

Today's Scripture:

I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. Deuteronomy 30:19

Tip:

Practice being positive in each situation that arises. Even if you’re going through something difficult, expect God to bring good out of it, as He has promised in His Word.

Don't Add Oil To Fire

Some good insight below. People need kindness and reassurance not some one who get's in your face and has something to say about every little thing you say and do.

Don't be that person to stir the pot but the one who can be counted on.

People are looking for something real not someone who is going to air dirty laundry.

God Bless.

Don’t Add Oil To Fire

Be sensitive to people who are going through hard times. Oftentimes, their aggression is simply a venting of their frustration, and not directed at you. You are called to be a peacemaker – so don’t react but face that emotionally charged situation with kindness and soft words.

Prayer: Lord, may Your gentleness be always in me. Help me to not focus on myself but see others with compassion. Where there is anger and strife, let my thoughts be good and pure so the words that come out from my mouth will help the situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Importance Of Purpose

This...

With everything that has happened in 2020 one might find it hard to keep putting one foot in front of the other. May this be a resource to help keep us going.

God Bless.

The Importance of Purpose

Jeremiah 29:11 is a favorite verse of many people. It is a verse that reminds us that God’s intentions toward us are for good. This should encourage us in any situation, and for that reason alone, it is an important word for us to hear and know.

As often is the case with scripture, there are other things we can learn from this verse. One overlooked truth from this verse is that God does indeed have plans. God is purposeful. Do not think that God only reacts to things and tries to do the best He can with whatever happens. God is intentional. God has specific plans and acts accordingly to those plans. If God does not approach life randomly, neither should we.

A new year offers us a wonderful opportunity for a reset, and we should take advantage of that opportunity. As your new year begins, take time to reflect on 2020. Don’t let the past year be wasted, instead, learn from all we have experienced. Then, commit to live a purposeful life in the year ahead. Don’t live the entire year without purpose, only reacting to what happens from day to day. Take time to prayerfully decide on a word or phrase for 2021 as something that will direct your approach to life for the next 12 months. Better yet, begin to ask God what your focus should be in the coming year. Remember, He has plans for you. Finding your purpose is empowering. A purpose is life-giving. God is purposeful, and He has created us for a purpose. Make 2021 a purposeful year!

The Righteousness Of God Brings

This is a great little devotional to start the new year out.

It really get's you not only thinking but also looking at your surroundings and the people within it.

I believe God wants to do a new thing and what better way than start with the family legacy and all that brings with it.

God Bless.

Read Genesis 5

The righteousness of God requires a judgment on sin — death. But, because of God’s great love for us, He has provided His Son to die in our place. Think about where you would be without God’s love and sacrifice.

Thinking through your own family’s genealogy, make a list of those in your family who have passed on a spiritual legacy. Make a second list of those who have not yet come to know Christ. Spend time in prayer giving Him glory.

You Are Loved

If you need a reminder to start out the year how God feels about you, then this little devotional is for you.

This is your year!

God Bless.

You Are Loved

Adapted from the resource My Time with God - by Joyce Meyer

God reminded me today of His unconditional love!

It is very important to begin each day knowing that you are loved! God loves you unconditionally, and His love is more valuable and important than anyone else’s. He doesn’t love

God reminded me today of His unconditional love!

It is very important to begin each day knowing that you are loved! God loves you unconditionally, and His love is more valuable and important than anyone else’s. He doesn’t love us because we deserve it, but simply because He wants to.

As you receive God’s love freely, it will give you confidence and enable you to live life without fear. God’s perfect love casts out all fear and dread (see 1 John 4:18)

Perhaps you have known the pain of not being chosen. You were not picked for class president or asked to attend the party that everyone else was going to. When we are left out it hurts, but the good news for you today is that God has chosen. You! You are special to Him and His love for you will never end.

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank you for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for choosing me. Help me love You with allof my heart.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Extending Love To Others

Let us make 2021 where the love of God is spread like confetti.

God Bless.

“Extending Love to Others”

With a vibrant and growing love for God at work in our lives, our capacity to love other people will inherently grow as well. With a maturing love for others comes a growing desire to demonstrate that love, thus fulfilling one of the most important purposes for which God created us – to do good works for others.

It has been in God’s plan all along that we accompany love with action. Each one of us has a place in God’s master plan to touch the lives of others through good deeds.

Each time we touch the life of another with a kind word, respond to a certain need, or just simply lend an attentive ear to a hurting heart, we not only express our love, but God’s love for them through us. In this way, we become key agents to shine God’s glory brightly to a world that is otherwise filled with darkness and hopelessness.

Shining our light is really allowing God’s light to shine through us. There are three important ways to shine God’s glory to others:

1. Be an effective witness;
2. Serve others;
3. Fellowship with Christians.

Putting our faith into action in these three ways enables others to experience God’s love, grace and mercy, all to His glory.
