God Is Pleased And Delighted In You

....and anything less in our thinking is not of God and we need a new mindset. Let this little devotional be the beginning of that process so we can become history makers.

God Bless.

God Is Pleased and Delighted with You

by Joyce Meyer

He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me.
—Psalm 18:19

You are so valuable to God! You’re worth celebrating and worth taking good care of. You are awesome and there are great possibilities ahead for your life. God has invested Himself in you and given you talents and abilities that equip you to do certain things. You are part of His amazing plan and purpose.
Have you ever taken time to think about what you think about yourself? God thinks you are special and He celebrates you all the time. He doesn’t mention your past sins, and He rejoices over you with singing (see Zephaniah 3:14, 17).
According to Scripture, King David, who wrote our verse for today, was far from perfect, but he believed God was pleased and with him. He made the same statement again in 2 Samuel 22:20. David really knew God’s pleasure and delight in him.
I hope you also know how pleased and delighted God is with you. Can you imagine walking around your house or driving around in your car singing, “God is pleased with me and He delights in me!” Many people would not have that kind of confidence, but we should. We should believe what God says in His Word about how He feels toward us. If you have the courage to begin speaking over yourself that God is pleased and delighted in you, you may feel embarrassed at first, but soon you will begin to walk in new levels of confidence, power, peace and joy.
God may not be pleased with all our behavior, but He is pleased with us if we love Him and want to make progress. When we make positive confessions like the ones I’m suggesting today, we are agreeing with God’s word.
Love Yourself Today: God is not mad at you and He loves you. He’s smiling over you and singing over you because He is pleased and delighted with you.

A Winning Combination

There isn't anything better than it being just you and God walking through this thing called life.

The problem is that there are times where we walk ahead, or even behind where God is trying to lead us. Big mistake. And those kind of mistakes cost us big time.

Let us turn back with a change of mind and heart to allow God back into the picture with the knowledge there is no place like walking hand 'n hand with the man from from Israel who is none other than the Savior of the world.

God Bless.

A Winning Combination

by Joyce Meyer

Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is the man who finds skillful and godly Wisdom, and the man who gets understanding [drawing it forth from God’s Word and life’s experiences].
—Proverbs 3:13

One of my favorite ways to hear from God is through conventional wisdom and common sense. Wisdom discerns truth in a situation, while common sense provides good judgment regarding what to do with the truth. I consider wisdom supernatural because it isn’t taught by men; it is a gift from God.
Many sophisticated, intelligent people lack wisdom and common sense. God’s Word says, “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him” (James 1:5).
I am amazed how many people think they must stop using common sense in order to be “spiritual.” Spiritual people don’t float around all day on clouds of glory; they live in the real world and deal with real issues in real ways. They need real answers, just like everyone else—and those answers are found in God’s Word and revealed to us by His Spirit.
We do the seeking, and God does the speaking, but He is the Spirit of Wisdom and will not tell us to do anything that is unwise. Many times we ask God to speak to us and lead us, but if He does not give us a specific word from Scripture or speak a word in our hearts, we still have to live our daily lives and make decisions. God is not going to dictate every little choice we make, but He does give us wisdom and common sense—and those two make a winning combination.
God's word for you today: If you do the seeking, God will do the speaking.

Never Say No Way

I think everyone, or at least for the most part, has heard at one point or another, Never say never and then reaped the repucutions after they had spoken it.

So in essence, this is what this little devotional is only saying it like Joyce can. Word's matter.  We need to be constantly be reminded of that not just for the sake of ourselves but also for those around us.

God Bless.

Never Say “No Way”

by Joyce Meyer

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
—John 14:6

Have you ever faced a situation and said, “There is no way”? Maybe some of these thoughts weigh on your mind:
There is no way I can handle the pressure at work.

There is no way I can pay my bills at the end of the month. There is no way I can save my marriage.

There is no way I can keep my house clean and straight. There is no way I can lose the weight I need to lose.
There is always a way. It may not be easy, it may not be convenient, it may not come quickly; but if you will simply keep on keeping on and refuse to give up, you will find a way. Jesus is the Way, and He will help you find a way where there doesn’t seem to be one.
Power Thought: I refuse to say “no way”; Jesus is the Way.

Prayer

Good, good, good info on the subject matterclose to my heart.

When I pray and why I pray is an essential part of the walk we have in Christ. We can't have to much knowledge in the area of prayer.

God Bless.

Prayer

Pray without ceasing
- 1 Thessalonians 5:17

What is the first thing you do when you wake up? What is the last thing that you do as you go to bed? What occupies your thoughts, attention, and affections throughout each day? Is it communion with God? If not, why not?

Through the finished work of Christ on the cross we have access to, and the favor of, the only Being in the entire universe who has the wisdom we need for decisions, the strength we need for struggles, the love we need for relationships, the goodness we need for right living. When we pray, we enter into the presence of God and we commune with him from our hearts.

The question, then, is not why Paul gives us such a difficult commandment -- to pray without ceasing -- but why we would not avail ourselves constantly of the single greatest opportunity that Christ's blood has now provided us. We should pray, not to appease some vague sense of guilt or obligation, but to enjoy the great pleasures, pursue the great holiness, and enter the great presence of the Lover of our souls.

Pray to him today. Pray to him tomorrow. Pray to him when you're sad. Pray to him when you're exhausted. Pray to him when you're exuberant. Pray to him when you feel empty and when you feel full. Pray to him without ceasing.

In The Third Year

If you fast, or on a fast, or what to learn about fasting, then this little devotional is for you.
Fasting is an important part of this walk and knowing how and why is extremely important. Or if you have been fasting and you haven't seen any results, then be encouraged by this little devotional.
It matters, you matter, and the results of your faith matters.
God Bless.
“In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel…it concerned a great war. At that time, I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over. On the twenty-fourth day of the first month…” (Daniel 10:1-4a NIV)
Daniel fasted three weeks, twenty-one days and, humanly speaking, it appeared nothing had happened! Daniel didn’t see or hear anything for twenty-four days, but Heaven heard, and his answer was on its way from the very first day. “Then he continued, ‘Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them’.” (Daniel 10:12 NIV) When you fast and pray, Heaven takes note. It may not seem like anything is happening, but the truth is that from the moment your fast began, God has been working. Don’t quit praying. Don’t stop seeking. Continue in this journey with the expectation that you will see God do extraordinary things in your life.

Your Best Life Is In Front Of You

Powerful insight into how to deal with the devil and his minions that are tormenting our lives.
It's time to send him back where he belongs and start living in our best lives.
God Bless.
It is time to go to war and take back our territory
“Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing indeed: Forgetting the things behind and reaching forward to the things ahead” Philippians 3:13, Berean Literal Bible.
I’m just going to say it…You’re not hurting anyone but yourself when you give in to the enemy because of what someone did to you. I’m sorry they hurt you. I’m sorry they didn’t believe in you. I’m sorry they weren’t there when you needed them most. It hurts, I know it does. But you know what, my friend? You can either use this as fuel or as an excuse. The greatest revenge is to go full force into the things of God, to go full force into your purpose, to give God your broken heart and let Him kiss it and make it better. God can give you more new memories that will take the place of all the old hurtful ones. He can show you that there is life after heartbreak. There is more life to live. Your best life is in front of you, not behind you. Reeeaaacchh forward. Reeeaaacchh forward. Reeeaaacchh forward into God’s perfect plan. You can do it. You will find grace waiting in front of you. You will find happiness waiting in front you. You will find healing…waiting… in front of you.
Prayer: Lord, I pray for my sister reading this now. You know exactly what she is feeling. Help her Lord to see the same thing You showed me when I was hurting beyond belief. You showed me the same love that I encountered the first day I surrendered to you. Show her that Powerful, Everlasting, Unconditional, Never Changing Love. Dissolve her fears. Heal her pain. Hug her heart. Remove all hopelessness, and help her Reeeaaacchh forward. In Jesus name, Amen.

Four Principles For Successful Daily Living

Wondering how to get through this life or do you just need a place to start in how to live this thing we call life? Well, I can't think of a better place to start than living life as Joyce has pointed out below.

The following words are one for the refrigerator to look upon daily as you reach for you milk and eggs to start your day or anything else you pull from your refrigerator.  As Nike would say, just do it and rely on the words so you can live your best life.

God Bless.

Four Principles for Successful Daily Living

by Joyce Meyer

For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good—whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit). Let him turn away from wickedness and shun it, and let him do right. Let him search for peace . . . and seek it eagerly. . . .
—1 Peter 3:10–11

I enjoy just reading over this passage and soaking up the power from its principles for successful daily living. It gives four specific principles for those who want to enjoy life:
1. Keep your tongue free from evil.God’s Word states clearly, the power of life and death is in the mouth. We can bring blessing or misery into our lives with our words. When we speak rashly we often get into arguments, so choose your words carefully.
2. Turn away from wickedness. We must take action to remove ourselves from wickedness or from a wicked environment. The action we must take could mean altering our friendships; it could even mean loneliness for a period of time. But you can always trust God to be with you.
3. Do right. The decision to do right must follow the decision to stop doing wrong. Both are definite choices. Repentance is twofold; it requires turning away from sin and turning to righteousness.
4. Search for peace. Notice that we must search for it, pursue it, and go after it. We cannot merely desire peace without any accompanying action, but we must desire peace with action. We need to search for peace in our relationship with God and with others.
When I started living by these principles, not only did my relationships improve, but so did my health, my attitude, and all areas of my life. The same will be true for you.
Trust in Him Which of these four principles do you need to work on the most? Focus on one area at a time, and trust God to give you the power for a breakthrough so that you can enjoy your everyday life.

Moving God In Worship

Good to know kind of devotional. If we want more of God, then the first place to start is in our area of worship.
We need to understand it isn't about lights and showstopping stunts, and whatever but it boils down to a heart matter. So I wonder, where does our heart lie when we worship? I can't help but think, it is nowhere where it needs to be.
God Bless.

Moving God in Worship
Whenever we think of worship, we always think of how we experience God’s presence, how deeply we sense His presence, how moved we are to tears with the songs and how God ministered to us during this time of worship. For many years, I too was under this impression. It was always about me. What I could receive from His presence and how I felt after the worship determined how good the worship that particular Sunday was. But years later, as I was meditating on this, the Lord revealed to me that worship was not about how moved I felt after being in His presence, but how moved God was with my presence. God is moved when I give Him my submitted heart, my strength, my weaknesses and my failures. He is pleased when I allow His light to reflect on my life, when I see all my anxieties, my filthy self-righteousness, my failures, and allow Him to work in me through all of this. It’s not about my feeling His presence (that’s just an outcome of my worship), but rather about Him feeling my presence. True worship is the spiritual work of our heart. When we minister unto the Lord, giving Him all authority over our lives, holding nothing back, He is moved and we are ministered to and experience His glory, as a result of this submission. Beloved, the next time you enter His presence by giving Him your undivided, submitted heart, remember that God is moved by your worship and He will cover you with His feathers and you will feel the warm embrace of His love.
Prayer Father, every time I worship You, I pray that I will have the privilege of knowing that You are experiencing my presence. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Naming Your Sin

Love this. We all sin but how we deal with it seems to be a problem.
So, my hope and prayer is that this little devotional helps with dealing with the one thing everyone has a problem with.
God Bless.
Naming Your Sin
That you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins. - Matthew 9:6, NKJV
Only God in Christ has the power to forgive sin. But you and I must confess it to Him personally, specifically, and honestly if we want to receive forgiveness. God promises, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9, NIV). That word confess means to call sin by the same names that God does, to agree with God about your sin. You and I often play games with the names we call sin to make it seem less like sin. For example, we call the sin of unbelief, worry. We call the sin of lying, exaggeration. We call the sin of fornication, safe sex. As long as we switch the labels on sin to make it seem less serious, we’re being dishonest with ourselves and with God, and we remain unforgiven. But, if we say the same thing about our sin that God says-if we say, “God, it’s lying. It’s jealousy. It’s lust. It’s revenge. It’s hate. It’s adultery. It’s unforgiveness”-God will forgive us! So start naming your sin for what it is in God’s eyes.

Quote Of The Day - Don't Ever Say

There is nothing else to say but amen and to ask to take it to heart and be encouraged, you are not alone.
God Bless.
Quote of the Day
-Joyce Meyer
“Don’t ever say, “I just cannot go on.” Instead, say, “I can do whatever I need to do through Christ who strengthens me. I will never quit, because God is on my side.”

Love, Love, Love

Love this! It is short and sweet but oh, so powerful.
He loves us! End of story! We just need to train ourselves to accept it and all the benefits that comes from His love for they are mind blowing good!
God Bless.
"As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love." - (John 15:9)
Devotional
The basic facts about Jesus are written in the book of John with the emphasis here on relationship. Your mother loves and cares for you, you love and care for your daughter, she loves and cares for your grandchild. Love begets love, love reciprocates love. Jesus' love for us naturally causes us to love others, His continuous love for us persuades us to continue the chain of love. The love Jesus received from the Father, He deserved as the Son of God, He in turn loves us with the same kind of love and encourages us to continue with that kind of love. Love, love, love.

Guard Your Heart And Love One Another

This is a long devotional I came across but one of importance and relevance.
It is important more than ever to understand what God meaning and understanding of love is. For it is only God's love that will save this lost and dying world.
Understanding is a key to enhance the kingdom.
God Bless.

Guard Your Heart and Love One Another

Above all else, guard your heart… at all times (Proverbs 4:23) If your heart is broken, you need healing before you can re-enter the battle for the hearts of others. When someone operates from their false self, don’t take it personally and don’t pronounce judgments on them. They are going through healing and training as well. Just be the Beloved. Warriors Live and Love from a good heart. Jesus said to his apprentices,  You're blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put  right. Then you can see God in the outside world. Matthew 5:8 (MSG) Now with a good heart, we are equipped to step into what we were made for… Love. There is no greater life-giving thing than love, especially when a man says it or does it. Nothing against the feminine heart and their capacity to love…oh, how wonderfully they bear God’s image! But men, fathers, husbands, brothers… when we love… it alters things. When we love we are saying, “I see you, you belong, I choose you, I love what I see!” Love is full of acceptance, significance, worth, belonging and validation for a wanting and weary heart! And because it matters so much when men love, we see the enemy target men’s hearts in attempt to ensure that they won’t. A.W. Tozer wrote, The Christian need not expect to escape opposition. As long as Satan stands to resist the sons of God, as long as the world and the flesh remain, the believing man will meet opposition. Sometimes it will be sharp and obvious, but mostly it will be just the hidden and unsuspected friction set up by circumstances. No one need be anxious about this, however, for God has figured it in and made allowance for it.  Jesus expands The Greatest Command when He instructs his friends before he leaves… I've told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you.  I'm no longer calling you servants because servants don't understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I've named you friends because I've let you in on everything I've heard from the Father.  John 15:11-15 (MSG)

This is what the battle is ALL about. It is our battle cry; our pledge of allegiance; it is the song written on our hearts to sing. Love is what we were made for and in love He restores us… in order for His men to first receive and experience Him and then offer Him. Love, not just training us up in it but turning us into love… this is the Kingdom family business. It will take some training up and then, it will take everything we have and everything we are as men to protect it and see it done. Love won’t happen without a fight. “He became like us so we could become like Him!” It was author, George Eliot, who wrote, “It’s never too late to be what you could have been.” It’s all about Love. We have unfortunately experienced it so conditionally most of our lives that the move to unconditional is going to be significant, drastic and critical. A man can’t just buckle down and do this. Love is something that happens to him and then settles his heart. What does it look like? Jesus showed us and Paul wrote it down. Think of it as the Resume of Jesus! Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (MSG) There is a reason this passage is read so often at weddings. Our bridegroom, Christ, is committed to loving this way and is inviting us to follow his lead in the great romance amidst the Great battles in this fallen place. There is more training and more glory ahead. When we are responsible with what has been given, more is given. For the more!!!

The Best Gift Of All

I absolutely love this little devotional and the message it conveys.
In a world where hate and mistrust runs rampant, we need to find encouragement where ever we can find it. Not only should we seek encouragement for ourselves but we should also be a willing vessel to be an encourager for others who are seeking something or someone to hold on to so they might get through the times and seasons of a world gone mad.
Not only that, we need to the vessels God needs to tell His story about the greatest thing He has ever done. So let us be willing vessel to shine the light on the greatest gift ever given and the one thing that will save humanity.
God Bless.
The Best Gift of All
When Johnny realized that an omelet prepared by his wife, Tina, was saltless and slightly burnt, he yelled at her. Tina, already exhausted with the household chores, yelled back. An argument ensued. Furious, Johnny left the house, slamming the door shut. Tina cried bitterly and these tiffs went on for a while. One fine morning, Tina decided to leave. She had begun to pack her bag and march to her mum’s place, when she heard the doorbell ring. As she rushed to open the door, she saw a delivery girl with a parcel. The parcel was a handbag from a high-end designer store that she’d always wanted. In the bag was a note from Johnny, “I’m extremely sorry sweetheart, this is a very small gift given with lots of love.” Tina shed tears of joy.
The process of reconciliation had just begun. Gifts are welcomed by people the world over. They bring much joy and happiness. They have the ability to bring people together and strengthen bonds. Do you know that in Jesus, we were given the best gift ever? Romans 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus reconciled sinful man to a holy God, thereby providing us with eternal life. Ephesians 2:8 goes on to state, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Freely we have been given. Freely we must give. This week, let us remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. So let us share the gift of Jesus with people around us. As we do, they will be reconciled to our Father and will experience the love, joy and peace that Jesus came to give.
Prayer Dear Lord Jesus, I thank You for the best gift that I have in You. Help me share You freely with my friends and family, that they too may enjoy Your love and joy. Amen.

Quote Of the Day - Perhaps You Need To Look Up

Once again, here is some quality advise and wisdom right here.
Take it to heart and God bless.

Quote of the Day
-Joyce Meyer
“Perhaps you need to look up and around instead of back and down. Lift your eyes and see the amazing future which bursts with hope for you in God! Don’t spend your life mourning over what you have lost and what is already gone; take an inventory of what you have left and keep going, one foot in front of the other, one step of faith at a time. Remember, God is on your side!”

In Complete Contrast

This little devotional is from the lent devotional I found and decided to dive into it.
This little devotional talks about and gives an insight in the motives of Judas while serving and dealing with Jesus.
It is short but may spark a little understanding of why Judas did what he did and while you are looking at his motives, maybe you might start to see you may have the same tendencies as he did. I know this is what happened to me. It wasn't any one thing but just like a huh, well that makes sense or I never looked at it like that before.
In my experience when you have those huh, moments are the moments God speaks to you the most. They are the nuggets that make life bareable.
God Bless.
In complete contrast to Mary from yesterday’s devotional, stands Judas. One of them is known for her extravagant worship; the other for his treacherous betrayal. Mary didn’t count the cost of worship and spent her money on expensive perfume. Judas, on the other hand, focused on counting his thirty pieces of silver. One was sold out for Jesus; the other was a sell-out.  Yet, I don’t believe that Judas was motivated solely by his love of money. He was, instead, prodded by his fear of man.  All circumstances pointed to the fact that the death of Jesus was imminent. Even Jesus himself said so! Judas feared for his future and he feared for his life. The new kingdom that he was expecting Jesus to usher in was disintegrating. He focused on the power of the rulers, instead of dwelling on the power of the One who delineated authority to those rulers. He allowed the tangible to edge out the eternal.  Bringing It Home Where is my focus today? What motivates my actions? Is it fear of man or faith in God? Am I willing to put everything on the line for Jesus or am I towing the line for earthly authorities? Lean In Heavenly

Father, I know I can easily be swayed by the fear of man. I often subscribe to the false idea that people control my circumstances, rather than a sovereign, loving God. I pray that I will give you your rightful place on the throne of my life. I pray that faith – not fear – will drive my decisions. Amen

You Have An Anointing

Sometimes I think we underestimate the anointing we have to affect our surroundings and circumstances but also the surroundings and circumstances of those around us.
We are a power house and we don't even recognize it. It is time to rise up and get knowledge and understanding of what anointing really is and how we can put It to use for our good as well as for the good of others.
God Bless.

Scripture Reading: 1 John 2:20-27 The anointing you received from him ... is real, not counterfeit - [so] just as it has taught you, remain in him. - 1 John 2:27

Years ago, without my knowledge, I was given a counterfeit 20 dollar bill. I didn’t realize it until a clerk eyed me suspiciously while I was paying with cash for something. Because it wasn’t the real thing, I had to prove my innocence. Thankfully, I wasn’t charged with a crime. But for a short time, I felt caught between the forces of truth and lies. Two forces are at work in the world today: truth is working by the Holy Spirit, and evil is working by the energy of Satan, the devil, the father of lies. We feel this tension in our lives every day. Sadly, many Christians have one foot in the world and one foot in the life of faith. The Bible calls this lukewarm belief (Revelation 3:15-16). We are living in days that involve a crisis of faith. The spirit of the antichrist is working in this world. It is vitally important to stand strong in the faith and to be able to recognize the lies and deceit of the evil one when they come our way. Having daily devotions and a consistent life of prayer is a beautiful way to carry out your anointing. This anointing, the Bible tells us, is given to us by God and remains in us. Take comfort in this truth. Satan cannot snatch us away from God’s claim on our lives. “You have an anointing from the Holy One, and ... you know the truth.”
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and constant promises. We praise you that our anointing is real and sent by you alone. Keep us strong, we pray. In your name, Amen.

The Lord, My Bodyguard

There is things in this life we should automatically know, it is called fundementals. The problem is, we don't always use them because life has a tendency to throw us curve balls. Then, we have a tendency as normal people, to focus on the curve balls and forget the fundamental principles of every day living as Christians.
And one of those fundamental principles we seem to forget is we have a bodyguard one that won't leave us or forsake us. He won't let us down. I promise. It won't be easy but it will truly be worthwhile.
God Bless.
The Lord, My Bodyguard
Most of the world’s political leaders, including Presidents and other dignitaries, are well protected by their personal bodyguards. Have you noticed, when you watch them on television addressing their nation, or even when they go overseas to represent their country, they are accompanied by their security personnel who ensure their leader’s safety wherever he goes? These bodyguards are ‘all eyes’, scouting every inch of potential danger their leader might possibly be exposed to. Despite all these necessary measures, history shows there have been many assassinations in the past. Aren’t you thankful that you have the best, strongest, ever-watchful bodyguard you could possibly have? He is none other than the God of Israel. Imagine employing a guard who sleeps on the job! Your life would be in peril. Our God neither dozes, nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3,4). He is always at your side, even shielding you from sunstroke and sheltering you from moonstruck (Psalm 121:5,6 MSG). I have driven alone in the dead of night on deserted highways and lonely stretches, but I have experienced God’s protective presence around me and He has brought me safely home each time. I encourage you to trust Jesus as your bodyguard. He will guard you from every evil. Your surroundings may look eerie and frightening, but He has promised to protect you wherever you go. So, the next time you have to leave the comfort and security of your home and step out into unknown territory, do not be afraid. The danger you are facing today may be physical, or a challenge at school, or at the workplace. You can trust God to keep His promise to you and be your faithful and loyal bodyguard always.
Prayer Father, I thank You that You are my personal bodyguard. You are watching over me and I trust You to guard, protect and preserve me from evil always. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Regards the Lowly

This is so good and so encouraging for all of us who are living this Christian walk. Better yet, this so good for all of us who is just striving to put one foot in front of the other.
In fact, it is the last sentence of this little devotional that speaks to me. I think it is safe to say along with many others we fall into the category of a wounded soldier, so maybe now we should start focusing on asking God the areas where we can serve His purpose that will have the biggest impact for His kingdom while leaving our wounds behind.
God Bless.
“The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” (Deuteronomy 33:27)
You may be going through things right now that are painfully preparing you for some precious service to Jesus and to his people. When a person strikes rock bottom with a sense of nothingness or helplessness, he may find that he has struck the Rock of Ages. I remember a delicious sentence from Psalm 138:6 that our family read at our breakfast devotions: “Though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly.” You cannot sink so low in despairing of your own resources that God does not see and care. In fact, he is at the bottom waiting to catch you. As Moses says, “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27). Yes, he sees you trembling and slipping. He could (and often did) grab you before you hit bottom. But this time he has some new lessons to teach. The psalmist said in Psalm 119:71, “It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes.” He does not say it was easy or fun or pleasant. In retrospect, he simply says, “It was good for me.” Last week I was reading a book by a Scottish minister named James Stewart. He said, “In love’s service, only the wounded soldiers can serve.” That’s why I believe some of you are being prepared right now for some precious service of love. Because you are being wounded. Do not think that your wound has come to you apart from God’s gracious design. Remember his word: “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me . . . I wound and I heal” (Deuteronomy 32:39). May God grant a special grace to you who are groaning under some burden. Look eagerly for the new tenderness of love that God is imparting to you even now.
Only wounded soldiers can serve.

Atonement

This is just a little ditty on how important atonement is for living a Christian life.
It is short and sweet but so informational.
God Bless.

ATONEMENT
The atonement cover was the place for sacrifices within the tabernacle on the Day of Atonement. The title, derived from the verb meaning “to cover over,” “to atone for” or “to make propitiation,” was the place of offering on this day. This symbol refers to the cover placed on top of the ark and was the base on which the cherubim were placed (Heb 9:5).

There, sacrificial animals were offered to the Lord and, by God’s mercy, peace between God and humanity was established. The atonement cover served as the physical location at which the mercy and judgment of God met, and the sins of mankind were atoned for. At the cross, God’s mercy and judgment met as they did at the atonement cover. There, God’s judgment was placed upon his Son, and his mercy is freely given. His death atones, or covers over, the sins of his people, making peace by the blood of the cross (Col 1:20; 1Jn 4:10). The ongoing significance of the cross as a symbol for Christians testifies to the profound way in which this peace with God is possible. Jesus, thank you for being the final atonement sacrifice that we need in order to be close to God. Thank you for the peace and mercy that you have given us. Amen.

Serve The Lord

I know life is hard and it's easier to give up than to live for Christ but according to Joyce Meyer, and I am still learning this for my life, but serving the Lord is a much better way to go.

So be encouraged and continue to fight the good fight of faith and choose to serve the Lord today.

God Bless.

by Joyce Meyer

Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
—Joshua 24:15

In Jesus’ day, many leaders who were believers in Jesus would not confess their faith to others. They feared they would be expelled from the synagogue if they went public with their belief in Him (see John 12:42, 43). They were hindered from a relationship with Jesus because they cared too much about other people’s approval. Although they wanted a relationship with the Lord, they wanted the approval of their peers more. That is sad, but it happens all the time.
Joshua, on the other hand, was bold about his belief in God, declaring that, “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). Be like Joshua, and determine that you and your household will serve the Lord. Whether other people agree or not, serving and following God is the only way to live a fulfilling, victorious life.
The leaders of Jesus’ day knew He was real. The believed in Him, but their love of people’s approval would not permit them to have a true relationship with Him. I wonder how their lives turned out. What did they miss because they said yes to people and no to God? I wonder how many of them were never mentioned in the Bible again. I wonder if they faded into oblivion and never fulfilled their destinies because they loved the approval of men more than the approval of God. How many of them spent their lives disrespecting themselves because they were people-pleasers?
We need to realize that not everyone is going to like us. If we live our lives worrying about what other people think, we will never take risks or stretch ourselves into new realms.
Jesus died to give you the freedom to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit for you as an individual. As you follow Him, I guarantee that He will lead you into a rewarding life.
Love God Today: Like Joshua, make a deliberate, personal decision to serve the Lord and boldly declare: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

New Generation

AMEN AND AMEN!
Come Lord, Jesus, come and make all things new!
God Bless.
New Generation
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:" - (2 Corinthians 5:17-18)
Devotional
That's what God does, makes us new creations. When we think of His goodness towards us, it prompts us to restore and maintain friendly relations with others.
