God Will Strengthen You When You Are Tired

Tired doesn't even begin to discribe how I'm feeling lately. Over the past six to ten months, my family and I have been hit with one thing after another. Some say it's a trial of massive proportion but I"m not so sure. I have sat many of nights alone in my room questioning God and wondering what I've done to make my life suck.

I haven't gotten my answer yet but to say that I'm tired is to say the least. I don't know what on earth is going on or why but tired has become my new motto and excuse for everything. I'm not proud of myself but it is what it is.

So when I came across this little devotional, I see a light at the end of the tunnel and I would be selfish to keep it to myself.

God Bless.

God will strengthen you when you’re tired.

Friday, August 05, 2016 9:03am “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10

You might say, “Lord, I’m tired.”

Maybe you’re tired of serving and helping others, tired of seeing the horrible state of our world, tired of seeing loved ones leave here too soon, tired of going to church and not seeing His glory, tired of not seeing enough done to help the hopeless and helpless. Throughout history, men and women of God experienced weariness of heart. They had to go to God to strengthen them, and just as He was with them, God is with you. Just as He was their strength, He will be your strength too.

He will uphold you by His right hand. He will help you go a little farther. He will help you walk by faith when nothing makes sense. He will help you by His Holy Spirit to keep standing for righteousness. No matter how tired you feel my sister, keep towing.

Keep your hands to the plow. Keep seeking God for His wisdom and keep receiving His supernatural strength. He will cause all grace to abound towards you. He will fill you completely and will be your fuel. He will renew and refresh you. He is your strength. Prayer: My Father God, I’m tired. I ask that you strengthen me according to your word. That’s all I need is your strength. Without it, I can’t walk another mile. Without your help, I won’t last another day. I need you God more now than ever. Refuel me. Resettle me. Renew me. Refresh me. In Jesus’ name.

Amen.

Meditate on this today: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

Who's Number One?

I really want to give back to people and live for others but I can honestly say, I'm nowhere near this goal. And one of the things I want to accomplish in my lifetime is overcoming my selfishness. I have to be the most selfish person on the planet.

I'm not very happy with my life. In fact my happiness level is about 67%. This is a sad fact. I want to know what true love and helping others is really about but I just can't seem to overcome my biggest obsticle, me. I just know when I stand in front of the of the judgement seat and see the account of my life, God will personally escort me to the exit sign of heaven.

But I have not lost all hope. This is a struggle for me and one I hope will be conquered with the help of Jesus. And when I came across this little devotional, I knew God had heard my prayers and I wanted to share it.

God Bless.

Who's Number One?

by Joyce Meyer

Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity." Luke 6:38, The Message

Sometimes we tend to live “backwards”—exactly opposite of the way we should live. We live for ourselves and yet we never seem satisfied . We should live for others – give away our lives - and learn the wonderful secret that what we give away comes back to us multiplied many times over.

When somebody wants to be “number one,” it automatically means a lot of people will be disappointed. Only one person can be the number one runner in the world; only one can be the president of the company or the best-known actor or actress. Only one can be the top author or the best painter in the world. While I believe we should all be goal-oriented and do our best, I don’t believe we should want everything for ourselves and care nothing about other people.

I have lived long enough to try a variety of ways to be happy and have discovered by process of elimination what is effective and what is not. Self-focus and striving to be number one at others’ expense does not make life work the way it was intended to work and is definitely not God’s will for our lives. Instead, He wants us to be aggressive about loving others and helping them get ahead.

Love must be more than a theory or a word; it has to be action. It must be seen and felt. Love is and has always been His idea. He came to love us and to teach us how to love. When we do this, life is exciting, beautiful and rewarding.

Love Someone Today: Lord, help me not to disregard or compete with others in an effort to be number one. I pray for opportunities to show love to others by helping others get ahead and reach their goals in life.

Recieve The Word God Has Sent To Heal You

The following devotional starts out with a statement about leaving your bible on the bedside table gathering dust. Sometimes I found myself doing just exactly that.  Okay, more often then not. Another thing I am not proud of is not truly understand what the word says about a subject.

I'm not too keen on studying it and I know that is a lot of my problems. Also, and the biggest factor for my life being a complete mess is just as the title states. I don't allow the word of God to heal my life, my hurts, my body, and everything in between.

I have had some good days where I've been a doer and a receiver of the word but most of the time, I've allowed myself to get frustrated. I think somewhere in my subconscious, I have made a vow to stop being my own worst enemy and get my act together and live for Christ proving your never to old or your service for Him is never in vain, and I'm a true testimony that His mercies are new ever morning.

God Bless.

Receive The Word God Has Sent To Heal You

Psalm 107:20
20He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Your Bible will do you no good if you leave it on your bedside table, gathering dust. It will do you no good if you hold it like a teddy bear when you are facing your “giants”. But God’s Word will do you a lot of good when you receive it as truth and speak it as truth! Then, you will see your healing and deliverance from every evil condition that has been sent to destroy you!

The Bible says that “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”. Now, when God wants to heal you, what does He do? He sends His Word. Before God delivers you from your destruction, He sends His Word.

Are you still waiting to experience the blessing of healing that Jesus died on the cross to give you? Don’t feel condemned. Your Father in heaven loves you and wants you well. But how does your healing come? By you receiving His Word on healing that He has already sent you. His promises of healing are all there in your Bible. But have you received them?

During one of our church services, a lady took out her cell phone and started sending text messages of every scripture and almost every key point that I was preaching that day to her friend who was at home dying of cancer. I was telling the congregation to keep confessing the healing scriptures over their bodies, no matter how bad their conditions were. I pointed them to Isaiah 53:5, which says, “By His stripes we are healed.” The lady got so excited that she told her friend to keep believing and confessing it every day!

Her friend, on reading the text messages, simply received the Word of God and confessed it by faith. That very same week, when she went back to the doctor, the doctor could not find a single trace of cancer in her body!

Never underestimate the power of God’s Word. The lady’s friend was healed because she received God’s Word by faith. She gladly read the messages that her friend had sent her, was encouraged by the Word, confessed it and received her miracle. God sent His Word and healed her, and saved her from her destruction!

Thought For The Day
When you receive God’s Word as truth, you will see your healing and deliverance from every evil condition sent to destroy you!

A Spiritual Gift

I don't know about you but I find it hard to find someone who knows about spiritual gifts and are using them correctly.

There is nothing more that I want in my life is for everything God has for me. I can honestly say that I haven't even come close to reaching the smallest amount.

But that doesn't stop me from pressing forward and keeping me from learning all about God and what He has to offer including the spirtual things.

So when this little devotional came across my path, I got so encouraged and I wanted to share it with you.

God Bless.

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. (NLT) -1 Corinthians 12:7

Goodness And Mercy

When I was little, I grew up listening to a song that spoke about the goodness and mercy of God. And to tell you the truth, I didn't have a clue what any of those words meant.
And even more disturbing, this late in life, in my Christian walk, I really don't have a handle on what those two words mean today. Yes, I'm a joke, a failure, and a horrible human being who lets the world and her emotions get to her.

However, I am constantly working on me and working out my salvation and when I come across something that will help in my journey of life, I hold on to it for dear life. This little devotional spoke volumes to me and I hope it will do the same for others.

God Bless.

Goodness and Mercy
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalms 23:6
Two people knocked on the door of her home. Staring at them through the crack of the door, she asked, “Yes, can I help you?” They said, “We have been assigned to follow you everyday for the rest of your life.” She laughed, “You want to do what!?” They said, “Our names are Goodness and Mercy and your Father in heaven has sent us here to follow you wherever you go.” She was cautious. Life had taught her some hard lessons about trust. As she stood there, she could see Corruption and Disdain lurking behind the trees, with a sneaky grin on their faces. She was all too familiar with them and had just kicked them out of her house. However, they knew if she didn’t receive God’s Goodness and Mercy into her home, they would find their way back into her life eventually.
She stood there. Then she whispered to herself, “If anyone is going to follow me, it won’t be Corruption and Disdain. No, it won’t be what I’ve always experienced in my past.” She then fully opened the door—as wide as it could open, and Goodness and Mercy came into her home and closed the door behind them.
Whenever she stumbled, Mercy was there to pick her up and dress her wounds. Mercy helped remind her of the Father’s love regardless of her many mistakes. Whenever she faced a trial, Goodness was there to help her gather all the treasures that came from it. Goodness was always excited about the Father’s expected end for her.
Through the years, their friendship grew. They followed her through every moment in her life, every joyous victory and every heart-wrenching tragedy. They were there and never left her side. And when her time had come, she took her last breath, Goodness and Mercy picked her up and escorted her to her heavenly home where she would live for eternity with these two heavenly servants and her heavenly Father.
Prayer: Father God, yes, I receive your Goodness and Mercy in the home of my heart. I open the door as wide as I can to you. Heal every wound and cause me to gather all the treasure after every trial I face. Until I take my last breath, be with me and be glorified in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Three Things Take Place When We Allow God To Step In Our Circumstances

Over the past few months, a lot of changes and unforeseen things have began to pile up on our household making it very difficult to feel as if we had lost control of our lives. Since then, I have seen this these things were not for me to ask whether or not if God was still with me but to bring me into a deeper level of trust and I can tell you, I'm still a work in progress.

So when I came across this devotional in my saved folder, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the words in this devotional could not be more truer. My hope and prayer is we are on the backside of the storm and are cruising towards the victory line.

My hope and prayer is that whoever my find this will get the same confirmation out of this devotional as I did for whatever testing and trials you may find yourself in.

God Bless.

John 9:1-2, NIV “As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

John 9:32, NIV “Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

John 9:35-38, NIV “Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” Jesus said to him, You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” He said, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshipped him.

In this story, Jesus performed a miracle by giving the blind man sight. The disciples thought that the blind man did something wrong because of his condition. The Pharisees could not accept the change that took place in the blind man’s life (see John 9:8-9, John 9:15-16). When we go through trials, we tend to think that it’s a result of sin. However, it is in our trials that we turn to God. He allows us to go through some things so He can increase our faith, deepen our trust and bring us closer to Him. A transformation took place in the man’s life once the power of God was manifested. God changed this man after the miracle.

Three things take place when we allow God to step in our circumstances.
1. God will manifest His power
2. The manifestation will change our way of thinking
3. The manifestation will increase our faith

So when there’s a circumstance that seems to overwhelm you, say “Lord, I believe. I believe that this circumstance opens the door for You to step in. I believe that the manifestation will transform way of thinking. I believe that it will increase my faith. Like the man in John 9, change my mindset and increase my faith in you. Lord, I believe in you and your ability to do all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

I Will Be Your God

Are you like me and wonder just exactly what would it be like if I really believed God was and is and will be forever my God?
I do. I waver. I'm a waver. I go back and forth on things and this has always seemed to be a issue for me especially if I am going through something and I don't understand.
I want to stand firm. I want to believe He will never leave me. I want to know with uncertainity He is who He say's He is.
For me, it's a mind change. And as I cast my cares and hurts on Him, He begins to show me who He really is and that is someone I can get behind.
Has He ever left me? NO but I've left Him plenty of times. I've grown over the years and these thoughts of doubt grown dimmer and dimmer until one day, they will become a thing of the past. I move closer to my goal every day and I look forward to the day when uncertainity no longer has a hold of me.
Wait, this just in.....today's the day! Today I start living with HIm and start living for Him.
God Bless.
‘I Will Be Your God’
Hebrews 8:10
10 … and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
When God says, “I will be your God,” that is a declaration that He will work miracles in your life. So if it is a miracle you need, it is a miracle you will get!
If there is a huge sea blocking the way to your blessing and God says, “I will be your God,” it means that He will open the sea for you so that you can receive your blessing.
If you are poor and God says, “I will be your God,” it means that you will be well-provided for. Since God fed nearly three million Israelites in the wilderness every single day for 40 years, you can be sure that God will provide for you too.
If you are sick and God says, “I will be your God,” it means that He is going to be “the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26), and you will be healthy.
If you have incurred a huge debt and God says, “I will be your God,” it means that He will bring about a supernatural cancellation of your debt.
But not only did God say, “I will be their God,” He also said, “they shall be My people”.
To be God’s people means to be the protected ones. Not all on earth are God’s people — only we who are redeemed by the blood of Christ. During times of uncertainties, God says to you, “You shall be My people.” This means that you are protected from all pestilences, plagues, attacks and destruction.
Even when you hear people say that the economic crisis is coming, God says to you, “You shall be My people.” This means that you don’t have to worry or be anxious. The crisis will not affect you. Regardless of the situation in the world, you are protected and you will walk in the blessings of God.
God’s power comes into every challenge you face when He says to you, “I will be your God and you shall be My people.” You will experience the supernatural life. Your part is to believe what He declares and act like it is so!
Thought For The Day
God’s power comes into every challenge you face because He says that He is your God and you are His people.
