What Sorrow Awaits Those Who Argue With Their Creator

How we treat people say's a lot about us but how we treat God when things are going wrong say's a lot about our relationship.
I firmly believe you can question God while you are going through things but our attitude play's a big part in what we do when His answers our not the ones we want to hear.
For me, I rather play it safe by keeping a good attitude until something changes than tick off the Creator of the Universe. Yeah, I know it is easier said than done but look at what the alternatives. They could be a deal breaker no coming back from.
God Bless.
"What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, 'Stop, you're doing it wrong!' Does the pot exclaim, 'How clumsy can you be?' (NLT) -Isaiah 45:9
How do you treat God when things in your life don't go according to your plan? Do you argue with Him using logic, blame, or coercion? Maybe you thought you would have had kids at your age, or perhaps a loved one was supposed to be on the earth longer. Your Creator is all powerful and all knowing. Is your faith strong enough to trust in His power and His divinity?

A Life Of Hope, Vision, And Passion

Do you agree with the title of this little devotional that it is possible to have a life of hope, vision, and passion oozing out of you and it is God who has put it there?
Do we truly believe and trust in God having our best interest at heart while our world falls apart?
According to this little devotional, He does and will give you a life that you never dreamed of. So my question for us all, is what are we waiting for, the life we dream about is ours for the taking so let's do this already!
God Bless.

A Life of Hope, Vision and Passion
by Joyce Meyer
Do you know God has high hopes and expectations for you? He does. The fact He invested the life of His only Son to see you set free shows how precious you are to Him. God believes in you more than you do yourself! I used to think God was disappointed in me when I made mistakes. But God knows every decision we're ever going to make, He loves us anyway, and He knows He can change us if we'll stay in His Word. Perseverance Pays In the early years when we were building our ministry, Dave and I went through a lot of difficult tests.
I needed to work on my attitude. We needed to work on our marriage and how we handled money. For six years I bought my socks and underwear at garage sales. We were totally broke—and I was teaching prosperity! Not only that, it just wasn't popular for women to preach back then. We lost friends and had family members who didn't want anything to do with us. It was just hard and sometimes I wanted to quit. But today I am so glad that I stuck with God because there are people all over the world who have been helped because of our ministry. Scripture tells us in Matthew 19:29 Anyone and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for My name's sake will receive many [even a hundred] times more and will inherit eternal life. I know it's true because that's what I'm experiencing in my own life right now. If we decide to trust God's Word and never give up, we will have victory. Attitude Is Essential Our attitude has a lot to do with how God works in our life. God doesn't reward a negative attitude or self-pity or an "everybody owes me" attitude. Nor does He work through laziness or passivity. God works through faith, but we need to have faith before we can even have hope. Hope is really a positive attitude. It's expecting something good is going to happen in your life. God wants us to be prisoners of hope. In other words, He wants you to believe He can change whatever needs to be changed, and you can do whatever needs to be done.
Pursuing God's Passion The Bible teaches over and over again we're to help hurting people. I believe that's God's passion. He wants us to enjoy our lives and He wants us to have nice things, but He also wants us to remember the poor, the lost and the needy. Sometimes we don't realize one person can really make a difference. We can inspire the people around us just by making right choices. And we can change the world through our prayers, our giving, and by reaching out with the love of God to those who are in desperate need. You and I can fulfill God's vision for our lives by living with expectant hope and being passionate for the things He is passionate about in life.

Nothing Important Happened Today

I don't know where I got this little devotional but when I read it, my first thought was how true it truly is.
Most of us, including myself, have a tendency to say there is nothing happening today because we are looking at things through the eyes of what is going on around us.
If we truly want to nreak the cycle, and indeed I do, then I best look at things through the eyes of God because He truly is making important things happen.
God Bless.
"Nothing Important Happened Today"
On an unseasonably mild midsummer day in the typically hot and humid Philadelphia, July 4, 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence was finalized and adopted by fifty-six men and was soon signed and distributed throughout the colonies. John Adams had convinced the Continental Congress, then at war with Great Britain, to allow the young Thomas Jefferson to compose the initial document formally explaining their choice of independence from Great Britain. Also on that day, across the Atlantic Ocean, legend has it that King George III of England wrote in his diary: “Nothing important happened today.” Nothing important happened?! This was perhaps one of the greatest understatements in world history. On that day, American rebels forged the Declaration of Independence, and although it took seven more years until the Americans fully reached independence from England, the writing of the Declaration was the beginning of the end of England’s reign over America.
The king assumed nothing important had taken place on that day because he hadn’t heard of it yet. He didn’t live in a day and age of tweets and texts and camera phones and search engines. His was a day of smoke signals. It is my fear for the western church today that, on the coattails of King George III, we make generalizations and assumptions about the fate of our Christian faith in this day and age that are just plain wrong. Christianity is thriving around the world today! There is a sense of revival on many fronts, but most of us haven’t heard of it yet, and so we write on the subconscious journal in the recesses of our minds:
“Nothing important is happening today.” And we ask ourselves: Is this all there is? It is as if we think we have a cap on what God is doing around the world today. The reality is that God is on the move. And when we hear the stories, they encourage and lift our faith just like this Scripture says, “In the middle of our trouble and hard times here, just knowing how you’re doing keeps us going. Knowing that your faith is alive keeps us alive.” (1 Thessalonians 3:8)

Be Equipped To Meet Needs

News flash people: thing's are not about us, hardly ever. The purpose of life is to live a life equipped to meet the needs of others.

And somewhere this concept has been lost in transition. We have become a selfish people who don't apologize for making the world a little more difficult to live in.

I choose to believe in the word's of the song It's a beautiful world and maybe, just maybe, where

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful wo

God Bless.

Be Equipped to Meet Needs

by Joyce Meyer

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
—2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT

God blesses us so we can bless others. He does not want us to be needy; He wants us to be equipped to help people who are in need, and we cannot do that if all we are experiencing is lack. When we don’t have enough to meet our own needs and the needs of our families or others for whom we are responsible, then it is very difficult to help other people. This is one reason God promises to provide for us and to do so abundantly.
I encourage you to develop the mindset of a generous giver. Look for ways to give and for needy people to whom you can give. Study what the Bible says about God’s provision, and see yourself as one who meets needs.
Power Thought: I am a generous giver.

Love = Obedience

Obedience = Love or is it the other way around? This little devotional gives some insight on how it should be and way.
The only question remainging is what is stopping you from being obedient if you say you love the Lord thy God.
It is something to ponder and then take action for you know how the saying goes action speak louder than words.
God Bless.
Love = Obedience
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." - (John 14:15)
Devotional
John speaks of Jesus being the Way, the Truth and the Life. Our love for God is linked directly to our obedience to Him. Obedience can be difficult at times, but becomes easier to accomplish when we focus on His love and plans for us. Our love for God is shown primarily by obeying His word, hence love equals obedience. When we focus on His love, mercy and grace that He extends to us, it propels us to respond to what He asks. Because you love someone you do what they ask of you, not always immediately and with a good attitude, but you do. So too, if we love God, that love equals our obedience to Him.

When Haman Saw That Mordecai

The hate and violence has to stop but ot won't until Jesus returns but what can we do in the mean time?
Stop being a Haman. Stop hating people who don't think like you do. Quit the fire 'n brimstone and replace it with love.
Love people for who they are in Christ and not who you see them as through their sin. No one is perfect except for the one who long's to fill this earth with His presence for once someone is in His presence thing's can no longer remain the same.
Let us quit stripping people of their dignity  and start showing them who they are in Christ. In fact, let us become the Christ crusader's we were ment to be and let's change this world from going to hell in a hand basket.
God Bless.

When Haman saw that Mordecai would not bow down or show him respect, he was filled with rage. He had learned of Mordecai’s nationality, so he decided it was not enough to lay hands on Mordecai alone. Instead, he looked for a way to destroy all the Jews throughout the entire empire of Xerxes. (NLT) -Esther 3:5-6
Prejudice is hostile thoughts towards a group of people who have a different belief, culture, or ethnicity. What makes a person prejudiced? Usually, it stems from pride and believing that you are better than others. Is it possible we as believers become prejudiced towards others? What kinds of people never receive faith because we are prejudiced towards them? Is there any chance you have pride that gets in your way of loving others?

Reedem The Time

This little devotional is short and sweet and straight to the point. Time, some waste it, so abuse it, but we all must learn how to manage it.
For when we have a our time, we seem to be in God's will and that is where He longs for us to be. For you see, there is no greater joy.
God Bless.
Redeem the Time
We must redeem the time: cancel hobbies, forsake television, and put away the newspaper and magazines. Those who would find God find time. Every minute you seek God is a minute enriched with new life and new power from God. Give yourself a minimum amount of time—an hour or two each day—but do not set a limit, as the Lord may draw you to seek Him on into the night. And continue day by day, and week by week, until you have drawn near enough to God that you can hear His voice, becoming confident that He is close enough to you to hear your whisper. This is not to say we neglect our families or that we become irresponsible as we seek God. No. God has given everyone enough time to seek Him. It is there. Having done what love would have us do for our families, we simply say no to every other voice but God’s.

Vote Holy Spirit

I know the elections are a way's away but I just wanted to give you something to think about as we should be preparing for the upcoming elections.
With the world as crazy as it is, we need serious guideance. Policy could stand to be changed and our rights protected we need the right people in the government. Never before is there such a need for the Holy Spirit.
And as a people, we need to start listening to His wisdom. Lives are at stake and there is a nation crying out for something....no, the only thing that matters.
God Bless.

Vote Holy Spirit
by Kenneth Copeland
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
As a believer, you have probably stood for your nation for years. I know I have. I pray for the leaders of the United States government from the president down to our local level regularly. I specifically release my faith and believe God for the deliverance and preservation of our spiritual heritage. I thank God that we are a free nation, that we can worship our God openly. On the local level, on a regular basis, we have the opportunity to vote for elected officials. And every four years, we vote for the next president. It’s a tremendous privilege and a tremendous responsibility. Many believers are tempted to be discouraged by the things they see wrong with the political system. But that is never a reason not to vote. No matter where you live, voting is putting feet to your faith. Voting brings to life your faith by taking the action real faith demands.
Yes, we should pray. And vote. We can never underestimate the importance of elections. They establish the spiritual climate of a nation’s government. There are spiritual battles that rage over political positions. Satan is always trying to tell people that their vote won’t matter, that their one vote won’t make a difference. But that is a lie from the devil himself. Don’t listen to his deceptions. If you don’t know whom to vote for, then go to the Lord and ask Him. He has specific ideas on how you should vote, and He will give you the wisdom you need (James 1:5). Take the time to get that wisdom from Him. Vote Holy Spirit! Then, as Ephesians 6:13 says, “Having done all...stand.” Stand in line to register to vote. Stand in line to vote. Stand in faith, believing His will to come to pass. And then, no matter who wins, stand in prayer for them. Your job isn’t finished in the voting booth...it continues in your prayer closet. You can make a difference, before, during and after the elections. Your vote counts and your prayer counts!

Never Say "No Way"

I love this little devotional. After reading it, there should never be a reason for us to say no way instead we should be replace our words with "all thing's are possible".

God Bless.

Never Say “No Way”

by Joyce Meyer

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
—John 14:6

Have you ever faced a situation and said, “There is no way”? Maybe some of these thoughts weigh on your mind:
There is no way I can handle the pressure at work.

There is no way I can pay my bills at the end of the month. There is no way I can save my marriage.

There is no way I can keep my house clean and straight. There is no way I can lose the weight I need to lose.
There is always a way. It may not be ekasy, it may not be convenient, it may not come quickly; but if you will simply keep on keeping on and refuse to give up, you will find a way. Jesus is the Way, and He will help you find a way where there doesn’t seem to be one.
Power Thought: I refuse to say “no way”; Jesus is the Way.

Hook Up To The Power

I believe that the word's written in this little devotional are very true. We are a critical time period and we must understand what God is trying to do and say like never before.
And I believe the Holy Spirit will play a much more powerful rule in the day's to come. We are going to have to be so plugged in to know when to turn to something or when to run away from something everyone else is running to.
Everyone and everything will have some part to play in the coming day's and I want to play my part to the best of my ability and be on the winning side because the rewards will be amazing.
God Bless.
Hook Up to the Power
by Kenneth Copeland
“Be it unto me according to thy word.” Luke 1:38 If you spend much time with the Lord, what I’m about to say is no surprise to you. You’ve already sensed it in your spirit. We are at the end time.
There is a greater urgency in the spirit now than ever before. It’s much like a woman who is about to give birth. That’s what’s happening in the realm of the spirit right now. A new millennium is about to be born. Everyone is having to move fast. All of us have a role to play—and this is no false alarm. Every one of us needs to get in position and do what God has called us to do. Yet everyone seems to have some kind of excuse that would keep them from doing what God called them to, but it’s not time for excuses! It’s time for us to say what Mary said when the angel came in and told her she would have a baby supernaturally by the power of God. She said, “Be it unto me according to thy word.” Glory to God, what faith! Mary didn’t know how the process would work. It was beyond anything she had ever heard. But she just said, “Yes, Lord. Let’s get on with the program!” Do you know what happened when Mary released that faith in response to the Word of God? It hooked her up with the realm of the supernatural. It connected her to the Anointing of Almighty God where “nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37). That is an unchangeable truth. A person without faith in action is bound to the realm of the natural, material and intellectual world of what is possible. But a person whose faith is in action hooks into Holy Ghost power—or what I like to call “the muscle” of God—and impossible things happen in his life.
That’s how Jesus did all those impossible things when He was on earth. He fulfilled His calling the same way you and I have to do it—by using His faith to hook into supernatural power. Remember this: It doesn’t matter how impossible something may be, when you’re hooked by faith to the supernatural, you’re hooked up to God and all things are possible to Him! “Jesus said..., If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23). Speak the Word “I am a believer and all things are possible to me!” —Mark 9:23

No Greater Love

As we celebrate or don't celebrate Valentine's Day, dending on your situation, we still should share the love.
Loving other's is such an important gift we could give to one anther no matter what your going through.
As this little devotional states, no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend. Have you made a new friend today?
Have you choosen to look past the outside, the difficult attitudes, or that one thing that annoys you and look at the hurting person who stands before you?
Have we dare to ask because we think they have it all together and make us feel like there is something wrong with us?
Let us once be led by the Spirit and not but our thoughts of self-conscious and dare to love.
God Bless.
"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." - (John 15:13)
John is a book written about what Jesus did and said. This particular passage speaks about Christ the true vine. Jamie feels and looks like the odd one out among the women. She is not pretty or rich like the others she is the new girl on the block. You walk over to her because you know what it feels like, you've been there. You authentically live out your faith by the little things you do for her, no acts of heroism really. That's how you demonstrate to her no greater love, you put her needs above your own Christ-like acts, so that she may experience the love of Christ.

A Winning Spirit

I love this little devotional and is something I can relate to. My son, is dealing with be on the B team of his school's wrestling team.
Although, he isn't on the varsity squad, the JV team has out wrestled the varsity without seeing the benefits of what being on varsity brings.
But he and the other JV wrestler's still hit the mat and give it all they got. I would say they have a winning spirit.
And I have come to the realization, being a winner isn't about how much you accomplish in life but you never stop trying and keep going when all you want to do is quit when the bowel breaks and the crap keeps piling up all around you.
God Bless.
A Winning Spirit
by Kenneth Copeland
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13 The spirit of faith speaks! It calls things that be not as though they were. It makes faith confessions—not because it’s “supposed to” or out of desperation, but because it’s so full of eager anticipation and confident expectation, it can’t keep its mouth shut! The spirit of faith says, “I don’t care what God has to do, He’ll turn the world upside down if He has to, but He will change this situation for me.” Every time I talk about the spirit of faith, I think about my high-school football team. For years the school had losing teams. But something happened to the bunch on my team. A spirit of winning got into them. When we were sophomores, we were on the B-squad. We were the nothings. But we somehow got the idea that we could win. Every year the B-squad would have to scrimmage the varsity team, and usually the varsity just beat the daylights out of the sophomores. But the year our B-squad played them, that changed. We didn’t just beat them, we had them down by several touchdowns, just daring them to get the ball, when the coach called off the game. He was so mad at the varsity team, he didn’t even let us finish. What happened to that little B-squad? We reached the point where we expected to win.
We had an inner image of ourselves as winners, and it eventually took the best team in the state to beat us. If a varsity giant is staring you in the face today, get that winning spirit in you. Get an inner image of yourself as the real winner. Stir up the spirit of faith. Confess over that situation, “I don’t care what God has to do, He’ll turn the world upside down if He has to, but He will change this situation for me. I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus (the Anointed One and His Anointing). I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.” And then celebrate the victory because you’re a winner! Speak the Word “I have the spirit of faith. I believe, therefore I speak.” —2 Corinthians 4:13

Faith Is The Confidence

Trust. Some have it and some don't. I want it and there is just some times I have to just breathe deep and keep on keeping on.
If faith is all about trust like this little devotional suggests then I have some major work to do. I am one of those people who deal better with things she can see but if I want to be known in the kindgdom of God, I have to learn to live in faith and sometimes that is easier said than done.
God Bless.
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. (NLT) -Hebrews 11:1
Faith can be simplified to mean trust. It's trusting in God even though you can't see, smell, or touch Him. It's trusting that He loves you and will always have your best interest at heart. Once you believe that He loves you, it becomes easier to place more faith in Him. How are you faithfully trusting in God?

Pulling The Plug On Your Faith

This little devotional speaks to my heart. Just as I seemed to feel like I have this faith thing down, something comes along to show me just how much I lack in the area.
I don't know about you, but I am in need of a serious faith transplant so I can continue living in this crazy world and the bible say's it is only going to get worse. And it is time for me to suck it up and fet my faith in order and I think with the help of the word's written below, I just may make it after all with the help of the Holy Spirit, my obedience, and determination to hear God tell me well done thy good and faithful servant when this world fades away.
God Bless.

Pulling the Plug on Your Faith
by Gloria Copeland
“Where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” James 3:16
Have you ever had everything going smoothly, seen your faith working and really producing results, only to have something odd creep up inside you? Maybe you began to feel just a little irritated at the success of others. Or, maybe you’ve begun to feel a little discouraged that a circumstance hasn’t yet changed. Watch out! It could be that you’ve allowed envy or strife to enter in. You see, Satan knows that if he can stop your faith from working, he can disrupt everything. But he also knows he can’t very well just come barreling in the front door and steal the faith right out of your heart, so he slips in the back way. He uses envy and strife to interrupt the flow of love in your life. The minute love is disrupted, your faith stops working because “faith works by love.” (See Galatians 5:6.) Many Christians don’t understand that principle, so they struggle along, quarreling and fussing with one another—and wondering all the while why their faith isn’t producing results. They don’t realize that if you want to walk in the power and blessing of God, you cannot allow envy or strife into your life. Period. According to James 3:16, envy and strife give the devil an open door into your life. What kinds of “evil work” will the devil bring through that open door? Everything from depression to murder. Yes, murder! That was envy’s first recorded act in Genesis 4. Cain murdered Abel because he was envious. So what should you do? Shut the door! Stubbornly resist those fleshly pressures and temptations of the devil. Treat strife just like you’d treat a rattlesnake, or any other deadly invader. Refuse to let it in! If you’ve become aware of someone around you who is being more successful than you, don’t be naive enough to fall into the trap that envy is setting. Trick the devil. Turn the tables on him! Start praising God for the success of that person. Do what you can to help them be even more successful. In other words, whatever your situation, start walking in love and laying down selfishness. If you’ll do that, you’ll keep the door open for the blessings of God. You’ll keep the devil from pulling the plug on your faith! Speak the Word “I walk in love and resist envy and strife. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” —James 3:16

And God Said...And It Was So

How exciting would it be to have been present when God spoke the world into existence.

Let's all agree how amazing it would have been and yet, He didn't need us to be but what He does need us to be aware of is the importance of the word's we speak and what effect they have and what those words could produce.

It truly is amazing and this little devotional by Joyce drives the awesomeness of it home.

God Bless.

And God Said . . . And It Was So

by Joyce Meyer

And God said, Let us make man in our image. . . . So God created man in his own image.
—Genesis1:26 –27 KJV

According to Genesis, God created everything we see with words! He called them into being:
“And God said, Let there be light; and there was light. . . .
“And God said, Let there be a firmament [the expanse of the sky] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters [below] from the waters [above]. . . .
“And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected into one place [of standing], and let the dry land appear. And it was so” (Genesis 1:3, 6, 9).
Everything God said came to pass, and you are created in God’s image, and your words also have power. Your words can call things into being, so use them wisely! Speak in agreement with and believe in God’s plan for your life, and you will see it come to pass.
Power Thought: My words have the power to create my reality.

Launch Out

Are you launching your faith today? Are you launching out and walking in your destiny?

It is okay if your not but after reading this little devotional maybe that will change. And together we can launch out not only for ourselves but in the hopes of changing the world and giving hope to others who are sitting back and wondering what life is all about.

God Bless.

Launch Out

by Joyce Meyer

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”
-Luke 5:4 NKJV

The only way we ever reach our final destination and succeed at being our true selves is to take many, many steps of faith. Stepping out into the unknown—into something we have never done before—can leave us shaking in our boots. Because of feelings of fear, many people never “step out,” therefore they never “find out” what they are capable of.
I believe we are very close to the time when Jesus will return for His Church, and I don’t think He has time to spend months and months convincing each of us to obey when He wants us to step out into something. I believe the more we progress into what we call “the last days,” the more God is going to require radical steps of obedience.
Many people are missing the will of God for their lives because they are “playing it safe.” I don’t want to come to the end of my life and say, “I was safe, but I’m sorry.” The world has a little saying: “Better safe than sorry.” I am not sure that always works in God’s economy. If I had tried to be safe all the time, I am sure I would not be where I am today.
Lord, there truly is no safe place apart from being with You, walking in Your will for my life. I refuse to play it safe as long as I know what You want. Amen.

A Wasteful Seed Story

I know nothing about having a garden even though I have tried to have one every year for 16 years.
My garden always seem to get over run by weeds and I end up wasting all the seeds I planted.
And every year I swear I am not going to plant one waste my time but yet, when the time comes, I think maybe this will be the year I get my act together. And I lose the fight.
So is the problem me? Or is it something else going on? Maybe it is just time to change my perspective and look at it through different eyes.
So when I ran across this little devotional, I got excited and began to think, seeing my garden and things of God through the Father's eyes just might produce great things and who wouldn't agree that would be a good thing.
God Bless.

A Wasteful Seed Story
Scripture Reading: Luke 8:4-15 A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. - Luke 8:5
Imagine the setting: Jesus has been preaching in many towns and villages. On this particular day, a large crowd gathers from town after town. Jesus stops, looks at the crowd, and tells the story of a farmer who scatters seed that lands on the footpath, on rocky soil, among thorns, and also on good, fertile soil. A lot of seed was wasted as the farmer spread it wide. But Jesus was not trying to teach people good planting practices. He was asking everyone to consider this story from the Father’s point of view. It’s likely that very few of his listeners caught Jesus’ point in this parable. Even his disciples had to ask him what the story really meant. Here’s the scoop. Jesus himself is the sower as he spreads the word of God in all kinds of people’s minds and hearts. Some pay attention and hear, and others don’t.
Jesus ends the story by urging people to pay attention to his words so that the Word of God can root and grow in them. That’s how the kingdom of God comes, under the conditions of God’s patient mercy through his Son. Are you someone whose heart is fertile soil to hear God’s Word? And are you spreading that seed widely and wildly to others? Prayer: Dear Jesus, test the soil of my heart today. Thank you for wastefully spreading your good Word in my life. Make my heart ready to receive the gift of your life-giving Word, that it may grow and produce a crop to share with others. Amen.

What's In A Name? Everything!

Leave it to Joyce to put into words what everyone needs to hear, understand, to give people hope, and a determination to keep moving forward in this Christian walk.

This little devotional is about more than the powerful name of Jesus. It is also about what the fullness you recieve when you believe on the name of Jesus.

The fullness of Christ is everything we will ever need and the only requirement for us is to believe on His name.

God Bless

What’s in a Name? Everything!

by Joyce Meyer

. . . Jesus is the Christ, . . . you may have life through (in) His name [through Who He is].
— John 20:31

The name of Jesus represents everything that He is—all of His righteousness, all of His perfection, all of His grace and love—that name is powerful. There is no power in your name or my name, but there is awesome power in the name of Jesus His name represents everything about who He is.
Let’s think about this in practical, terms. My name has not always been Joyce Meyer. I did not take Dave’s last name until I married him. Nothing of his belonged to me until we entered into the legal covenant of marriage. When we married, I did not have a car, but Dave did. When I got his name, I suddenly got a car too. I did not have much money; in fact, I was in debt. Dave did have money, so when I married him, I had money too and was able to pay off my bills. I did not have access to anything of Dave’s until I married him and took his name. When I became Mrs. Dave Meyer, everything he had became mine. While we were dating, I still had my maiden name, I still had my debt and I still had no car.
We cannot “date” Jesus and expect to enjoy the privileges that come with true commitment. By that, I mean that we cannot just spend time with Him occasionally and try to keep up a relationship only because of the blessings He offers us. We can only enjoy the full privileges of a relationship with Him when our hearts are truly committed. God knows what kind of relationship we have with Him, whether we are “dating” or whether we have given ourselves to Him in total commitment. When we are joined to Him in committed relationship, we can be confident that He will give to us everything His name affords—and we can enjoy it.
Love God Today: Are you in committed relationship with Jesus? Then everything His name represents belongs to you.

If We Are Thrown Into The Blazing Furnace

Do you, no scratch that, do we truly know, trust, and believe that God will save us no matter what life throws us?
Yeah, I didn't think so either, but according to this little devotional God will deliver us from evil even if things don't go our way and He allows things to happen.
Why do we think we can control things then whine when they don't. Don't you think it is time we just trust Him? I bet life would more enjoyable if we did.
God Bless.
"If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn't, we want to make it clear to you, You Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up." (NLT) -Daniel 3:17-18
A lot of times we have our faith backwards. If God does XYZ, then I will believe. But these men had a powerful faith. Even if God didn't save them from death, they still stood their ground. Why must we have conditions met before we will stick our neck out for God? It comes down to trust. Will you still trust in God even if it appears God didn't come through?

God Picked You

If you ever doubted if you mattered, than read this little devotional by Joyce then put all doubts to rest.

He loves me and has a purpose for my life.”
Even if you don’t know what that purpose is yet, this will help you get on your way to discovering it. Enjoy Who God Created Is there something about yourself that you don't like? Joyce has your solution in just three little words! Tip: Make a decision today to say only good things about yourself.
