A Powerful Compass

Love this and the message Joyce is trying to convey.
The only problem I have with this message is, I don't do it what she advises. I struggle with that inner voice and what is going on in my head and my head mostly wins out.
But I am thankful I have a God who waits on me to get my act together. May we all begin to listen for that still, small voice and just maybe, the word will live in peace.
God Bless.
A Powerful Compass
by Joyce Meyer
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]... - Colossians 3:15
People who do things they don't have peace about have miserable lives and don't succeed at anything. If you are doing something, like watching television, and you suddenly lose your peace about what you are doing, you have heard from God. He is saying to you, "Turn it off. Go the other way." If you lose your peace when you say something unkind, God is speaking to you. It will save you a lot of trouble if you will stop talking or apologize right away. God leads His people through peace. Anytime you lose your peace you are hearing from God. There is nothing more powerful than the compass of peace in your heart. Follow after it. Follow peace!

Seven Sources Of Joy

I got the joy, joy, joy down in my heart and if not, well, this little devotional is for you and if you do, well, you can't have to little.
Wherever you stand in life, just be joyous in all things even as you read this.
God Bless.
In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy. (2 Corinthians 7:4)
What is extraordinary about Paul is how unbelievably durable his joy was when things weren’t going well. Where did this come from?
First of all it was taught by Jesus: “Blessed are you when people hate you. . . . Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven” (Luke 6:22–23). Troubles for Jesus compound your interest in heaven — which lasts a lot longer than earth.
Second, it comes from the Holy Spirit, not our own efforts or imagination or family upbringing. “The fruit of the Spirit is . . . joy” (Galatians 5:22). “You received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 1:6).
Third, it comes from belonging to the kingdom of God. “The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
Fourth, it comes through faith, that is, from believing God. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing” (Romans 15:13). “I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith” (Philippians 1:25).
Fifth, it comes from seeing and knowing Jesus as Lord. “Rejoice in the Lord always” (Philippians 4:4).
Sixth, it comes from fellow believers who work hard to help us focus on these sources of joy, rather than deceitful circumstances. “We work with you for your joy” (2 Corinthians 1:24).
Seventh, it comes from the sanctifying effects of tribulations. “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope” (Romans 5:3–4). If we are not yet like Paul when he says, “I am overflowing with joy,” he calls us to be. “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). And for most of us this is a call to earnest prayer. Because a life of joy in the Holy Spirit is a supernatural life.

Overtaken By Blessings

Read it and weep boy's. We are to be blessed so we can be a blessing to others.

So go bless and believe your blessed beyond measure!

Overtaken by Blessings
Jesus was made a curse that we might enter into the blessing.
Once when I was in Ireland, there was a six-year-old boy whose parents gave him some potatoes to plant. He planted his potatoes, and a week later, he went outside to see if they were growing. There was no sign of growth. Two weeks later, he still saw nothing, so he dug them up to see if they were sprouting at all. In the end, he dug them up three or four times, and they never grew!
Some Christians are like that little boy. They plant their potatoes of faith, then dig them up to see if they are growing. The essence of faith is to let God grow us. We meet the conditions, but God fulfills the promise and blesses us. Deuteronomy 28:2 says to those who meet God’s conditions, “All these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.” I love the word “overtake.” It is not for us to run after the blessings; they run after us. We can go to bed at night and ponder what blessings will have caught up with us by the time we wake up in the morning!
In the same way, Matthew 6:33 tells us, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” We do not seek the “things”; we seek the kingdom. Then, God adds all the things we need.
These, then, are the conditions for receiving God’s abundance: first, our motives and attitudes must be right; second, we must exercise faith; third, we must honor God, our parents, and God’s ministers by giving; fourth, we must practice right thinking, speaking, and acting; and fifth, we must let God add in His way and His time. If we meet these conditions, we can be certain that God’s abundant blessings will overtake us. This is one way that we enter into God’s blessing.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your work on the cross. I proclaim that I will seek first the kingdom of God, and, as I do, that His blessings will overtake me— because Jesus was made a curse that I might enter into the blessing. Amen.

Bearing Out Sin

We are a partial goat family. Let me just say, we have three. We have no idea what we are doing and we got them for the sole purpose of helping us keep a handle on our weeds.
But thankfully, we have a Savior who not only know's how to deal and take care of a goat but was willing to become the scapegoat for the world and has no problem weeding out the stuff in our lives that has to go and doesn't loss an ounce of sleep over our fits as we scream and shout and hold onto things we want to hold onto because we think our lives will be over if we just let go.
And this is why, we need to let go and let God and the works of His son do what they need to do so we can have a future.
God Bless.
BEARING OUR SIN
There are two goats in the stages of the Day of Atonement ritual described in Leviticus 16. One goat served its purpose by dying and the other by remaining alive. The first goat was killed as a sacrifice, its blood sprinkled on the atonement cover, tent of meeting and altar. The second goat bore the sins of the nation on its head. Aaron laid both hands on this beast while confessing all of Israel’s sins. This is the origin of the term scapegoat. The animal was led away — carrying all of their sins — and was released in a remote place where it could not return to the Israelite camp. When Jesus made atonement on the cross, he bore the sins of the human race (1Jn 2:2). For the Christian, all guilt has been removed — and it will not return. Jesus died under the weight of our sins and God’s righteous wrath so that we might have forgiveness and have new life in him (1Pe 2:24).
Jesus, thank you for being my scapegoat. You did not deserve this, but you did it willingly, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Amen.

One Of The Greatest Calamities That Sin Has Brought

Amen and dropped mic to follow.
Be blessed.
One of the greatest calamities that sin has brought upon us is the debasement of our normal emotions. We laugh at things that are not funny; we find pleasure in acts that are beneath our human dignity; and we rejoice in objects that should have no place in our affections.
The objection to “sinful pleasures” that has always been characteristic of the true saint, is at bottom simply a protest against the degradation of our human emotions. That gambling, for instance, should be allowed to engross the interests of men made in the image of God has seemed ‘like a horrible perversion of noble powers; that alcohol should be necessary to stimulate the feeling of pleasure has seemed like a kind of prostitution; that men should turn to the man-made theatre for enjoyment has seemed an affront to the God who placed us in the midst of a universe charged with high dramatic action. The world’s artificial pleasures are all but evidence that the human race has to a large extent lost its power to enjoy the true pleasures of life and is forced to substitute for them false and degrading thrills. Verse For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. Galatians 5:17 Thought The objection to “sinful pleasures” that has always been characteristic of the true saint, is at bottom simply a protest against the degradation of our human emotions.
Prayer Take away our love of man-made enjoyment, Father, and replace it with a love for the true pleasures of life.

Why We Should Love Our Enemies

Love, love, nothing but love for this little devotional.
This is for one and all who has enemies, which I know we all do.
Good insight on how to deal, maybe even insight into how we feel, but most important, insight into what we need to do in case of enemy overload.
I'm serious, your going to love what is written below and having overwhelming feelings of love for all those people you like to send back to the bowls of darkness where they came from. Okay, maybe not that dark but still....all lives matter and deserves the love only you can give them.
God Bless.
“Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” (Luke 6:27)
There are two main reasons why Christians should love their enemies and do good to them. One is that it reveals something of the way God is. God is merciful. “He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45). “He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities” (Psalm 103:10). “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).
So, when Christians live this way, by God’s power, we show something of what God is like. The second reason is that the hearts of Christians are satisfied with God and are not driven by the craving for revenge or self-exaltation or money or earthly security. God has become our all-satisfying treasure and so we don’t treat our adversaries out of our own sense of need and insecurity, but out of our own fullness with the satisfying glory of God. Hebrews 10:34: “You joyfully accepted the plundering of your property [that is, you didn’t retaliate against your adversaries], since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an abiding one.” What takes away the compulsion of revenge is our deep confidence that this world is not our home, and that God is our utterly sure and all-satisfying reward. We know that we have “a better possession and an abiding one.” So, in both these reasons for loving our enemy we see the main thing: God is shown to be who he really is as a merciful God and as gloriously all-satisfying. The power to be merciful is that we have been satisfied with God’s mercy toward us. And the ultimate reason for being merciful is to glorify God, that is, to help others magnify him for his mercy. We want to show that God is magnificent. We want our love, by God’s mercy, to make God look great in the eyes of man.

Tell Them To Use Their Money To Do Good

If I can be frank here, I worry we will never have enough. Why you ask?
Well, I think, no I know, it comes from all those lean years my husband and I have gone through. And I mean a lot.
I just get anxiety when I let myself think we will not have enough even though God has seen us through time and time again.
It's this anxiety that causes me not to give like I would like to. It is a real problem for me and I live for encouragement found in this little devotional.
I guess what I are saying is don't be like me, be better.
God Bless.
Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. (NLT) -1 Timothy 6:18
Do you ever struggle with generosity? You want to bless others through your generosity with your time, gifts, or money but you hold back at times. Each time you refrain from being more generous, it's easy to come up with an excuse. Admittedly, it's usually a selfish excuse and you walk away angry at yourself. Keep this in mind...God will provide. He has provided food on your table and clothes on your back. Store up treasures for yourself in heaven with your generosity, not here on earth through selfishness.

But Without Faith It Is Impossible

Some word's to live by written below.
Doing the same thing isn't cutting it any more.
I want , no, I need for things to be different in my life. I need to see results. Something that keeps my faith alive and kicking.
I know the problem isn't God but lies with me so, I find these word's just the encouragement I need.
God Bless.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.
God arrested my heart one day. “He said, why do you pray with no real expectation of Me? You don’t believe I will do what you asked for? You cry and weep and pray fervently before Me, and then you forget what you’ve asked for and don’t recognize when I’ve done it.” If there’s one thing I know how to do ladies, I know how to pray. But that alone is not good enough in God’s Kingdom. We must also know how to receive what we’ve asked for and be able to recognize when it manifests. The truth is, some of us like to pray just to hear ourselves talk. We pray out of a sense of duty or obligation. But those are the wrong reasons. If you’re going to communicate with a mighty God, pray with great expectations. Be on the look out for His promise to show up at any given moment. Contrary to how things may look for you right now, this is your year of miracles! This is your year of manifestation! God will give you stored up treasures from your heavenly account. He will send rain where there’s been drought. He will protect you from all harm. He will provide supernaturally. He will bless you with a deeper walk with Him. Recognize it when it happens and praisie Him.
Prayer: Thank You Father God for your rich words to Me. I love you, Lord, and I appreciate your desire to bless me. Help me to stay in position to receive. Help me to not be moved by how things appear. Help me to not forget what I’ve prayed for, but to stay in high expectancy of you to do what you promised. Thank you in advance! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Quote Of The Day - Many People Feel Pressured

After reading the words below, can I get an Amen?
Why do we allow others to have so much say in our lives?
Because we are human and yearn for love in any place we can find it.
But be encouraged, we don't have yo.say this way. We can be fixed by the Master carpenter and when He is done with us, then watch our world, nothing will be able to stand in our way! Oh what a glorious day that will be!
God Bless.

Quote of the Day
-Joyce Meyer
Many people feel so pressured by the expectations of others that it causes them to be frustrated, miserable and confused about what they should do. But there is a way to live a simple, joy-filled, peaceful life, and the key is learning how to be led by the Holy Spirit, not the traditions or expectations of man.

Facing Temptation

Love it or hate it, but we all face it. Temptation. Number one sin if you ask me, but you didn't.

But I offer this little devotional as a token of encouragement and well wishes for all of us who struggle with it.

Temptation doesn't have.to be the controlling factor in our lives just controlled so it doesn't ruin it.

God Bless.

Facing Temptation

Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil
- Luke 11:4

There is a balance to successfully avoiding or facing any temptation. On the one hand, we have a responsibility to turn away from any situation, person, or opportunity that draws us away from God.

We cannot, with any sincerity, be praying for our heavenly Father not to lead us into temptation, if we are not ourselves striving to avoid temptation. If we are praying "lead us not into temptation" while rushing headlong into sin, our prayers are a farce and will be ineffective.

On the other hand, Jesus' model prayer reminds us that we do not, in and of ourselves, have the strength to face or overcome temptations to sin. This is why we pray for our Lord to deliver us from evil.

We need his deliverance. We need his strength. When it is all said and done, we must confess that any sin we have ever overcome or been delivered from was overcome through the grace and leadership of our heavenly Father.

It is for this reason that we are taught to also pray, "thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever." May that be our heart's song as we face every temptation through the strength of his Spirit.

God's Love Language

Truth bomb follows below.

God Bless.

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46, NKJV
“But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams” 1 Samuel 15:22, NLT. Anyone can kiss you and talk sweetly to you in private, but the true question is, will they show their affection publicly?
Anyone can be affectionate to God through their worship to Him, but our love for Him shows when we follow His teachings and do what His Holy Spirit is prompting us to do. Our obedience is God’s love language. It is how He hears ‘I love you.’
Prayer: Father God, I ask that you help me to do what you are telling me to do. Forgive me for every time I disobeyed you. Help me not to ignore your promptings or quench your Holy Spirit. You know I love you. Help my love for you to translate into obedience in every area of my life, not out of religion but because I really love you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Maker's Mark

I know this devotional is long but please read it and think about what the unknown author is trying to convey.
Indeed, everyone on this planet is marked. The only question that remains is the marking represents God or His foe.
And if our marking is of God, then we need to act like it for there are to many foes of God walking around not truly understanding their marking and what it means for their life.
God Bless.
The Maker’s Mark
G e n e s i s 1 : 2 7  So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (NLT)
When it comes to quality gear like saddles, spurs, buckles, and bits, all of these have one thing in common: they all have a maker’s mark. What is a maker’s mark? It’s most commonly the maker’s name, brand, or logo that is stamped somewhere on their gear. This is done to show that they are the ones who made the gear and that they are proud of what they’ve made. This maker’s mark is especially important to cowboys, because in a lot of cases who made the gear is what gives it its value. For example, if you have a bit or pair of spurs with the name Klapper stamped on them, you have something that is fairly valuable. Why? Because the man who made them is none other than the world-renowned bit and spur maker, Billy Klapper. If you have anything made of rawhide by Luis Ortega, you have  something made by  a master. Luis’s mark is the style in which he braids. It’s often referred to as California tradition, and if you know what you’re looking for, you can spot his mark from a mile away.
The other interesting thing about having gear made by a master is that, in many cases, it doesn’t matter what condition the gear is in; it still holds its value when it’s made by a master maker. In other words, heavily used gear can still be priceless if it has a maker’s mark from a master in the craft. If we were being honest, I think we’d all have to admit that we often try to find our value in the things of this world. Things like how well we do our job; how broke our horse is; if we’re married, single, or dating. Or maybe we try to find our value in how well our kids perform in sports, how much money we have, or even how many likes we got on our last social media post. I know for me, I can often search for my value in how many people listen to my talks online, how cool people think my photos are, or how many books I’ve sold. Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet, this is a miserable way to live. Why? Because the world we live in is so fickle—finding our value in what we have, what we’ve accomplished, or what people think about us is so unstable. This is why it’s important to find our value in the one who made us. Who am I speaking of? I’m talking about the Divine Maker, the Master Craftsman of Mankind, the World-Renowned Creator of all things,—GOD ALMIGHTY. You may be thinking, “Where’s my Maker’s mark? Is it that birthmark on my butt?” No, it’s not. And please don’t ever mention that birthmark on your butt again. The answer is . . . YOU. You are the Maker’s mark. Don’t miss this! Because we were created in the image of God, because we have a soul—because He’s made every one of us unique and one of a kind—we are our Maker’s mark! Every human to walk the face of this earth is given the mark of our Maker at conception, and, because of this, we are our Maker’s most valuable creation. How do I know? Because God showed us that we are worth more than life itself. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life.” Did you hear how much He loves you and me? God loved us so much that He allowed His one and only Son, Jesus, to be crucified for our sin. That’s how much God values us.
And guess what? He didn’t do that for anything else He created, just for us! You may be reading this and thinking, “Surely God loves those church-going, good people who don’t cuss or chew, or date girls who do, more than He loves me. And surely I have to do something to deserve His mark.” Well, if you’re thinking this, you’re thinking is wrong. God placed His worth on us before we ever deserved it. Romans 5:8 says, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (NLT). This verse tells us that even though we were scarred with sin, used and abused, God saw worth in what He made and proved it by paying the ultimate price—the death of His Son. And unlike the things of this world, when it comes to our value in God’s eyes, our value never changes. Despite what we’ve done or not done, despite how well we’ve performed or not performed, God’s love for you has never changed and never will. But there’s a catch. I know, I know, you’re thinking, “Crap . . . I knew there had to be a catch!” Well, it’s not what you’re thinking. The catch is that to really under- stand our worth, we must place our trust in our Maker’s Son (i.e. Jesus). John 1:12 says, “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God” (NLT). See, although our worth was settled on the cross, God gives us a choice to believe in Him and accept His gift of eternal life. How do we accept this gift? We give our lives to Jesus. It’s only in doing this that we will ever truly find our true worth and personally know our Maker.
C H E W  O N  T H I S  What do you find yourself trying to find your worth in? How have you let people or things determine your value? Do you feel worthless and beat up today? Why or why not? Have you given your life to Jesus?

P R A Y E R  Dear Jesus, I’m tired of trying to find my worth in this world. Forgive me for looking anywhere else but you to find my value. I’m accepting your gift of salvation and giving you ownership of my life. Thank you for making me and paying the ultimate price so that I could be saved.

Diligence

I am sadden to say, that I am so guilty of this. Diligence is for sure a weakness for me.
I am not sure why other than I my have a low self esteem. I have to fight it daily but more than anything, I want to conquer it so I can hear my Lord and Saviour say, "well done, though good and faithful servant."
One day. And I leave you with this, be smarter than me and don't let this evilness, overwhelm you like it has me.
God Bless.
"The soul of the sluggard desireth, and [hath] nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat." - (Proverbs 13:4)
Devotional
Contrast between the wise and the foolish. A sluggard is a lazy person who sits wishing for things but refuses to work. Janet was such a person her entire existence is fueled by pipe dreams. She sits and watch the other women who are diligent, working relentlessly. She muses to herself, "they have so much more than I do." Wishful thinking and dreaming will not get your needs met. You must be willing to work and keep working to reap the benefits. Manna fell once and it's not likely to happen again. Use diligently, the gifts and strength that God has given and He will reward you.

An Appetite For God

This is seriously the case we Christian's deal with more than anything else that is thrown our way, I think.
This little devotional hit's deep and straight to the heart of matters and probably is the answer why so many people think we are hypocrites.
It is time to change our thinking but more importantly, it is time we change the hearts and minds of those who God sends across our path.
It's time to.get serious about our relationship for in this hour, all eyes are upon us.
God Bless.

“Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied” Matthew 5:6, Amplified Bible.
When my children become sick, the first thing they lose is their appetite. I could sit in front of them their favorite meal, and they will refuse it. So, I let them rest until they feel better. When they come to me saying, “I’m ready to eat now,” I know they are healed. Have you lost your appetite for the things of God? Do you no longer desire to read His Word or be in His presence? Is there no great desire to be around His people or do the spiritual things you used to? It could be the cares of life have distracted you or that your heart is hurting. Has anything damaged your heart and mind? Has anything polluted your faith? Have you just come through a terrible experience? There’s no judgment or condemnation here—only sincere love. The goal is to help you examine where you are spiritually. If you are hurting, forgive those who have offended you and receive God’s immense love. Receive His healing hand over your heart and let Him reach into every hurting place. If you are distracted, ask God to refocus and reignite you. A deep longing for the things of God can’t be manufactured. God gives us a thirst and hunger for Him, and we can come to Him saying, God, I’m ready to eat now! I want more of you now! I’m ready to win souls now, and fulfill your divine purpose for my life now!
Prayer: Thank you, Lord. I need you to heal me and refocus me. Touch my heart and heal every pain. Every disappointment. Heal me and give me my appetite back. Cause me to thirst for you like never before. Help me, God. I forgive everyone and everything. I receive a greater desire for you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Patient While He Works

This little devotional really get's to the heart of it. It doesn't waste time in trying to figure out what is wrong with most people in the world but instead lays it out there.
If you don't see yourself in this little devotional, well then congrats, uounhave your life figured out and it's running like clockwork in the way you want it to work.
But if your like me, then this little devotional is just the boost you need to keep giving life a try and make it there very best you can.
No matter where your at in life, I hope this little devotional brings a little comfort and insight to your life.
God Bless.
“For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:36
One night I went to sleep worried about many things. As soon as I opened my eyes the next morning, I heard the Lord say, “You have need of patience, that, after you have done my will, you might receive the promise!” All I could say was “Yes, Lord, I hear you.” God knows that you believe Him for many things: to heal, to save, to provide, to deliver, and your list goes on. You want God to be God in your life and to respond. But the problem is, you go to bed worrying, and you wake up worrying. Maybe you haven’t slept for a full night in years because you are thinking constantly about whether God is going to answer your prayers and when. But I say to you the same word God spoke to me early that morning; you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise! Trust that God is who He says He is, and He will do what He said He would do in His perfect timing and in His perfect way. Don’t let go of your faith just because you don’t see anything yet. God has heard you, and He will come through for you. You have to be patient while He works. No one rushes a surgeon to perform heart surgery. No one yells through the door for a brain surgeon to hurry up in working on their relative’s brain. We want doctors to take their time because we want it done right. God will help you to be patient. He is setting you up to see His goodness as you’ve never seen before. When He’s done, it’s going to be just right.
Prayer: Father God, thank you, Lord, for speaking directly to my heart and my situation. Please forgive me for worrying and stressing out. I need help trusting in you and waiting patiently for you. Help me understand even more how much you love me and care about me. Help me to believe when I don’t see anything with my natural eyes. I’ve done all I know to do. Now, I pray that you help me to rest in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Read Hebrews 6:13-15; Ephesians 6:13)

Cherishing Sin Hinders Prayer

Just reading the title should be enough to spark the initial survey of our hearts where sin is concerned.
We should know above anything just how much God hates sin and how much we need to fight against it.
We are not perfect and we will always be faced with sin, it's what we do with it that causes our downfall. May we rise above it and show the world we are more than just conquerors.

CHERISHING SIN HINDERS PRAYER
The psalmist invited all to hear about the opportunity for securing God’s favor (v. 16). He was full of joy because the Lord had heard his prayers. He knew this was only possible because of his genuine humility and distaste for the sins present in his life. “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened” (v. 18). Jesus taught that if someone is holding a grudge against someone, they must forgive them in order to receive forgiveness themselves from the Lord (Mk 11:25). This is not a contradiction to grace — adding some formula of work before one can receive pardon. Jesus wants people to go to God with integrity, refusing to make requests while harboring things God hates. It puts people into a position of humility — yielded to God’s authority and aligned with his Word. Jesus, if there is any grudge hiding in my heart right now, please point it out to me and help me get rid of it. I don’t want anything coming between God and me. Amen.

Don't Be Anxious About Your Life

Every once in a while, or okay, more like every day, we need to remind ourselves that God has our life in His hands and it's just best we stay out of his way because He can do so much better with our lives than we can.
And hopefully this little devotional will help us to remember just that.
God Bless.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life,…” Matthew 6:25, ESV.
Your life is in God’s hands. You can’t control how He blesses you, all you must know is that He will. You don’t know how He will meet your needs; all you must know is that He will. You don’t know how He is going to get you from where you are right now to where He wants you to be in life. All you must know is that you’ve prayed, and He’s heard you. It is His timing, His plan, and His perfect will that is in effect for you. When you stop trying to figure out how and when you will be able to rest in His immense love and receive His grace that is apportioned to you today. Anxiety builds in our hearts when we concern ourselves with things beyond our control. God’s grace builds in our lives when we walk in what He has set in front of us today.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that you touch my heart. I have been anxious about many things, and I’m sorry. I receive your peace and comfort right now. I acknowledge your presence in my life. Thank you for being with me and for caring for me. You are my God; I have no reason to worry. I have no reason to be all worked up. I know you will take care of me. As I cast my cares on you, fill me with peace and joy. I ask that you help others to see how good you are so they too can be anxious for nothing. In the name of Jesus, Amen. (Read Matthew 6:25-34)

The Power Of Rejoicing

Rejoice, what a concept and good ole Joyce puts the truth right out there.

After reading this little devotional, there will be really no doubt about why we need to rejoice for there is power in it.

God Bless.

The Power of Rejoicing

by Joyce Meyer

About midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God . . . Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken; and at once all the doors were opened and everyone's shackles were unfastened.
—Acts 16:25-26

Throughout the Bible, God instructs His people to be filled with joy and to rejoice. For example, Philippians 4:4 says: Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
Any time the Lord tells us twice to do something—the Philippians were told twice in this verse to rejoice—we need to pay careful attention to what He is saying. Many times people see or hear the word rejoice and think, That sounds nice, but how do I do that? They would like to rejoice but don't know how!
Paul and Silas, who had been beaten, thrown into prison, and had their feet put in stocks, rejoiced by simply singing praises to God. We don't often realize the "rejoicing" that can release so much power can be just as simple as smiling and laughing, having a good time, and enjoying ourselves. And doing that in itself often makes the problem go away!
If you have a personal relationship with the Lord—if you are saved— the Holy Spirit dwells within you (SEE John 14:16-17 AND 1 Corinthians 12:3). If joy is a fruit of the Spirit, and the Spirit is in you, joy is in you. You're not trying to get joy or manufacture it—it is already there, just as are the ability to love and the other fruit of the Spirit— because the Spirit is there.
It is very important to understand that we as believers are not to try to get joy—we have joy. Joy is in our spirit. What we need to do is learn how to release it.

Don't Be Moved By What People Say

I somehow became a member of this group on Facebook and each morning, the admin tries to post something encouraging.
And this little encouragement spoke to me. So much needed truth written below
and hopefully it will speak to you.
God Bless.
Don't be moved by what people say.   Be moved by what God has said.   Know who you are in Christ and know that God is your defense.   Know that God's Holy Spirit resides in you.   Know that you don't have to fight battles in your flesh.   Go to God in prayer, tell Him what you need, and ask Him to do what needs to be done.    God is faithful.   We may not always understand why things happen the way they do but we can rest in knowing that God will work it all together for our good and His glory.   The Bible says to rejoice in the Lord always.  So even when you don't feel like being joyful, rejoice in knowing that God is with you and He will take care of you.   Remember, to cast your care on Him because He cares for you.   Amen

Here Is The Miracle Of The Holy Spirit

We don't give enough attention to the Holy Spirit and His purpose for existence but thankfully, this little devotional will put a small dent into why He is around and maybe, just maybe, will cause a fire to grow inside us to find out more about Him.
God Bless.
Here is the miracle of the Holy Spirit...
I love the feast of Pentecost. On this day, several miracles took place, miracles that God also desires to accomplish in your life! The Holy Spirit came according to Jesus’s promise. (see Acts 1:8) He always keeps His promises. Persevere in trusting God’s promises because they will come to pass! If the promise tarries, it will surely come, the Bible says. (see Habakkuk 2:3) A violent wind was heard, and it filled the house where they were gathered together. The wind of the Spirit is blowing on your life today! Tongues of fire touched down upon each of the disciples. I believe that the Holy Spirit is lighting a new fire in your life! They were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Because you are a child of God, His Spirit already lives in you. But He also desires to fill you and make you overflow.
The promise is for you! They spoke in languages that they didn’t know. The Spirit can give you the gift of speaking in new tongues and you will accomplish things that you’ve never done before! Peter preached the Gospel with great boldness. The Spirit gives you boldness to be His witness! (see Acts 1:8) God has not given us a spirit of fear. (see 2 Timothy 1:7)  People understood the message. They heard the wonderful works of God in their own language! God desires to use your life to make the marvelous message of the Gospel understandable to those around you. 3,000 people were baptized that day. Yes, by the power of the Holy Spirit acting in you, God can do with your life exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think! (see Ephesians 3:20)  Today, the miracle of Pentecost is for you! I invite you to pray with me: “Holy Spirit, I sense Your wind blowing on my life today. I want to overflow with You! I desire all of the good gifts You want to give me. I ask You to baptize me with Your Spirit...I ask for the gift of speaking in tongues today! Thank You for increasing my boldness in proclaiming Your Word. I invite You to do in my life exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think! In Jesus’s Name, amen.” Thanks for existing!
