It takes a hunger

To live for Christ is an adventure of epic proportion. It's a ride like no other. Yet there are times it gets demanding.

Test after test or at least that is what it seems like you find yourself asking why God why? Here is a clue: Do you have a hunger for the things of God more than you want food? Do you want to see miracles and to do more things than what Christ did? Do you want God to breathe on you more than you want to take your next breath? Have you asked God for something that goes beyond the average Christian?

If you have then you have a hunger. A hunger for God and His ways. You want see the true God not some water down version of Him. You want His power not some some kind of fly by night demonstration. You want to see His glory and to see the salvation of a world gone mad.

If this is the case, then you have been touched by Him before and nothing else will satisfy you from then on. Your soul cries out. At times you feel like your going to die if God doesn't show up.

It's hunger my friend and you must keep pressing on no matter what. Obey Him, talk with Him, be willing to drop every thing for Him but more importantly, you must keep a desire for Him and be willing to protect your hunger above all else.

If you do these things your hunger will be satisfied and you will see Him in all His glory and power.

God Bless.

I just want you

There are songs you hear that has an ever lasting effect on you and the song I Just Want You by Vickie Yokie is one of those for me.
I Just want You
I Just want You
I just want to live
in Your presence every day
I lay down my will
and every selfish desire
Whatever it takes
Father that's what I'll do
Cause I just want You
It is my desire to be in His presence every day but I fall short every day. I don't even come close.
It makes me feel disgusted with myself and I feel like a failure. I get down on myself and I'm a bear to live with.
I take out all my frustration on my family and strife enters my home. It takes weeks to gain the ground back.
If I would just do and believe what the chorus say, then I would be so much further in my walk with God.
So what is the answer? Be determined to do whatever it takes and have a fresh encounter with the trinity every day and one day I'll just have Him if I stay committed and hungry enough.
God Bless.

Nothing is impossible

Nothing is impossible to You
My Lord and King
Nothing is impossible to You
Creator of all things
You formed the world out of nothing
And you formed it by your hand
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible
To you

These are lyrics from a song I've sung in revival for the last eight months. This song comes from Rodney Howard-Browne. Although I've never sat under his ministry personally, I have sat under his brother, Bazil.

While having revival, there was hardly a time when we didn't sing this song. This song has soaked itself deep within my soul. I find myself singing it at any given time during the day. I go to bed singing it and wake up with the song on my lips.

This song has brought me through some hard times. Its become a prayer of my soul. It is the cry of my heart. It is my hearts desire to make my soul and my heart believe that nothing is impossible with God.

So when I find myself in situations that threaten to overcome me and I need a song to help me through or if I need a reminder of what God can do, I know what song to refer back to and let my soul shout out: Nothing is impossible to You
My Lord and King

May you find the importance of the words and may your soul shout out like mine, nothing is impossible to our God.

God Bless.

Walk Through Proverbs: Proverbs 31

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Words of King Lemuel’s Mother

31 The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him:
2 What, my son? And what, son of my womb? And what, son of my vows?
3 Do not give your strength to women, Nor your ways to that which destroys kings.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink;
5 Lest they drink and forget the law, And pervert the justice of all the afflicted.
6 Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to those who are bitter of heart.
7 Let him drink and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.
8 Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

The Virtuous Wife

10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.

As this walk comes to and end, I would hope everyone, whether your man or woman, would take the time and get out a concordence and study the scriptures dealing with a virtuous wife. It's worth the time and effort you put into it.

If your single man, ask these things of God as your praying for your future wife. Don't settle for anything less than what your worth or what is written.

If your a single woman wanting to get married or are soon to be married. Study them. Make them apart of your life because your going to literly live out these scriptures in some form your married life.

If your married a married wife, make it your goal to become this woman. Your home depend on it. If your a husband that's married, take the time to show these scriptures to your wife and together study them and impart them into your home. Your home will be a much better place.

Teach your children how to act, what to look for and maybe the divorce rate will go down in America. Your not going to be this perfect woman or find her, but you could come close if your heart is open, you strive hard in the ways of God for He says His burdens are easy and His yoke is light.

Nothing God has put into His word is hard. It's quite simple. We just need to check our heart out and see where it reads on the God monitor for without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit we are nothing!

God Bless.

Walk Through Proverbs: Proverbs 30

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Wisdom of Agur

30 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, his utterance. This man declared to Ithiel—to Ithiel and Ucal:
2 Surely I am more stupid than any man, And do not have the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom Nor have knowledge of the Holy One.
4 Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know?
5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
7 Two things I request of You (Deprive me not before I die):
8 Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches—Feed me with the food allotted to me;
9 Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.
10 Do not malign a servant to his master, Lest he curse you, and you be found guilty.
11 There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother.
12 There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, Yet is not washed from its filthiness.
13 There is a generation—oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men.
15 The leech has two daughters— Give and Give! There are three things that are never satisfied,
Four never say, “Enough!”:
16 The grave, The barren womb, The earth that is not satisfied with water— And the fire never says, “Enough!”
17 The eye that mocks his father, And scorns obedience to his mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young eagles will eat it.
18 There are three things which are too wonderful for me, Yes, four which I do not understand:
19 The way of an eagle in the air, The way of a serpent on a rock, The way of a ship in the midst of the sea, And the way of a man with a virgin.
20 This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, “I have done no wickedness.”
21 For three things the earth is perturbed, Yes, for four it cannot bear up:
22 For a servant when he reigns, A fool when he is filled with food,
23 A hateful woman when she is married, And a maidservant who succeeds her mistress.
24 There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise:
25 The ants are a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer;
26 The rock badgers are a feeble folk, Yet they make their homes in the crags;
27 The locusts have no king, Yet they all advance in ranks;
28 The spider skillfully grasps with its hands, And it is in kings’ palaces.
29 There are three things which are majestic in pace, Yes, four which are stately in walk:
30 A lion, which is mighty among beasts And does not turn away from any;
31 A greyhound, A male goat also, And a king whose troops are with him.
32 If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, put your hand on your mouth.
33 For as the churning of milk produces butter, And wringing the nose produces blood, So the forcing of wrath produces strife.

We are told not to add to God's word unless we want to be known as liars. That should scare us to the very core of our being. Who likes a liar? Not I. Once trust is broken it is hard to get it back. There is a long unnecessary journey that must be made.

Yet, I'm a liar. When you get me in a situation where I feel like I'm going to be attack, I will say and do anything to get out of it. I hate confrontation yet it is something I go through often. After seeing this verse in scripture which I've never seen before, I can say, I've added to what God has said as well as speaking white lies along the way.

I've taken God's word and formed it into something I wanted it to say and then spoke the lie into existence. Truly, I'm liar and all liars have a part in hell. But wait...I've been redeemed by the blood of the lamb, washed clean, and I'm seated in heavenly places and I press on towards the mark of the high calling cleansing myself in communion, fasting, and prayer.

Now that I've seen this scripture, I'm going to be more accountable for keeping it. I have to seal my lips, bridle my tongue, and dig deeper into His word so I may overcome the snares of the enemy. I will no longer allow myself to add anything to His word because I treasure it, I hid it, and relish it, and allow it to rise up within me because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world and in the times of trials and tribulations, the true word of God will be a light unto my path!

God Bless.

Second Hand Spiritually

Some of us have tried to have a daily  quiet time and have not been successful. Others of us have a hard time concentrating. And all of us are busy. So rather than spend time with God, listening for his voice, we'll let others spend time with him and then benefit from their experience. Let them tell us what God is saying. After all, isn't that why we pay preachers?

If that is your approach, if your spiritual experencies is secondhand and not firsthand, I'd like to challenge you with this thought: Do you do that with other parts of your life?

You don't do that with vacations...You don't do that with romance...You don't let someone eat on your behalf, do you? There are certain things no one can do for you.

And one of thoose is spending time with God.

This was taken from Max Lucado's Grace For The Moment Devotional book. I can't help but think how much it applies to our lives ever day.

God Bless.

Walk Through Proverbs: Proverbs 29

New King James Version (NKJV)

29 He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
3 Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth.
4 The king establishes the land by justice, But he who receives bribes overthrows it.
5 A man who flatters his neighbor Spreads a net for his feet.
6 By transgression an evil man is snared, But the righteous sings and rejoices.
7 The righteous considers the cause of the poor, But the wicked does not understand such knowledge.
8 Scoffers set a city aflame, But wise men turn away wrath.
9 If a wise man contends with a foolish man, Whether the fool rages or laughs, there is no peace.
10 The bloodthirsty hate the blameless, But the upright seek his well-being.
11 A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back.
12 If a ruler pays attention to lies, All his servants become wicked.
13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.
14 The king who judges the poor with truth, His throne will be established forever.
15 The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases; But the righteous will see their fall.
17 Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul.
18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.
19 A servant will not be corrected by mere words; For though he understands, he will not respond.
20 Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21 He who pampers his servant from childhood Will have him as a son in the end.
22 An angry man stirs up strife, And a furious man abounds in transgression.
23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.
24 Whoever is a partner with a thief hates his own life; He swears to tell the truth, but reveals nothing.
25 The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
26 Many seek the ruler’s favor, But justice for man comes from the Lord.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. As the election draws near or any election for that matter, this statement stands true and we need to take heed of it before we go and vote on someone.

We must take this country back if we want a future. We must put righteous people back in the White House, Congress, the state level, the county level, and in the town level.

There is no more room for compromise. The line has been drawn. You either vote for righteousness or you vote to take more away from what the founding fathers set the country up to accomplish. Their plan was for America to be a power nation for eternity. Everything they did, they thought of us and gave their lives to make sure we have the rights we do even today.

Are we willing to walk in their footsteps? Are we willing to give our lives for this country and our beliefs? Are we willing to stand up and say no more, you've taken enough already? If not, you can begin the next time you vote.

Voting righteousness will have a price to be paid. You can't vote for someone because they see your point of view on your job and nothing else. No job is guaranteed anymore. You can't vote for people who believes in saving the plant yet give money to our enemies.

America is being sold right from under us! We must stop compromising and get this country back in the right standing with God. For only He can save us now!

God Bless.
