Be Clause That Makes It All Happen

I love blessings. I love being blessed and lately, I love blessing others. For months now, I have found ways of blessing people I would have never thought of if God hadn't directed me.
I have lived way to long under the old convent. Needless to say, I was dead. I have lived in depression and despair.
I want to live under God's blessing so I have to be willing to do what He tells me to do and He says live and bless others.
I have to make God's word alive in my life. I need to live my life knowing who I am and whom I belong to.
I can't live under the junk anymore. I need the everlasting life to overflow within me and spread into others. Yes, Lord, may it be so.
God Bless.
Be Clause That Makes It All Happen
Hebrews 8:12
12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
We are no longer under the old covenant. We are now under the new covenant. And in this new covenant, God says that He will do three things for us:
Lead us — “I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts.” (Hebrews 8:10) These are the laws of faith, love and liberty to guide you in everything you do. It is a spontaneous, dynamic, active and intimate way to be led by God.
Work miracles for us — “I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Hebrews 8:10) The phrase “I will be their God” denotes a miracle-working God. So if you are sick and God says, “I will be your God,” get ready for healing! If you are poor and God says, “I will be your God,” get ready for His supply!
Cause us to know Him effortlessly — “… all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.” (Hebrews 8:11) The Greek word for “know” here is eido. It means to know intuitively without effort. This means that you will know God easily.
Do you want to experience all these blessings in your life today?
“Of course, Pastor Prince, I want to be led by God. I want Him to work miracles in my life. I want to know Him intimately without straining or striving.”
Then, you need to know the clause that makes it all happen: “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” The words “no more” in the Greek carry a strong double-negative sense. So God is saying, “I will never, by no means, remember your sins!”
Beloved, the more you believe this in your heart, the more you will see those blessings fulfilled in your life. When you realize how much God has forgiven you and remembers your sins no more, you will know Him, His ways and His will for you intimately and intuitively without effort.
So believe in your heart today the clause on which all these blessings hinge, and get ready for miracles and hopes fulfilled in the days ahead!
Thought For The Day
When you realize that God remembers your sins no more, you will know Him, His ways and His will for you intimately and intuitively.

Launch Out

Do you believe without a shadow of a doubt that you are redeemed?
If you do, then reach out and give away the hope you have within you. There are people who need you and your hope.
Don't let anyone take away your hope, your beliefs, or relationship with the one who saved you.
Freely receive, freely give. Stand fast and reach out to the highways and the byways and bring them all in!
God Bless
Launch out in reckless belief that the redemption is complete, and then bother no more about yourself, but begin to do as Jesus Christ said—pray for the friend who comes to you at midnight, pray for the saints, pray for all people.
Pray on the realization that you are only perfect in Christ Jesus, not on this plea—“O Lord, I have done my best, please hear me.” So many of us limit our praying because we are not reckless in our confidence in God. In the eyes of those who do not know God, it is madness to trust Him, but when we pray in the Holy Spirit we begin to realize the resources of God, that He is our perfect heavenly Father, and we are His children.
Reflection Question: What would “reckless belief” cause me to do today?

Esther Was An Orphan

Esther. What can I say about Esther. Nothing profound I can a sure you.
But what I can say, is this little devotional spoke volumes to me not where Esther or Mordecai is concerned. But in the actions.
If you want to be technical, this story can be construed as being full of bullies and temper tantrum' s.
Did I mention selfishness? But I digress. No, I don't. For me, it is easy to see myself in the king, Haman, and Mordecai.
However, who I need as a role model in my life is Esther. She could have panicked and fell apart but she planted her feet and put her trust in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob all the while getting her praise jam on.
Actions to live by.
God Bless.
Esther was an orphan who had been raised by her bachelor uncle, Mordecai. When King Ahasuerus decided that he wanted a new wife, his overseers staged the largest beauty pageant in all of recorded history. Esther won the beauty contest and found favor with everyone inside the palace walls.
When Uncle Mordecai refused to bow to Haman, one of the king's chief advisors, it was decided that not only would Mordecai be killed, but Haman received permission from the king that the entire Jewish nation would be slaughtered.
When Mordecai learned of this dastardly plan, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes and went out into the midst of the city and wailed loudly and bitterly. Mordecai's response to horrific circumstances unfortunately, may echo your response to your life's events. When you don't get your way, you follow the example of Mordecai, put on your mourning clothes and then whine and complain so loudly and passionately that the entire city hears you! If you selfishly and childishly choose to walk through life while dressed in sackcloth and ashes, you will deny yourself intimacy with the King of all kings! Oh ... you are still a Christian and you will still spend eternity with Jesus, however, your preoccupation with your pain will deny you the sweetness of cherished fellowship with Him while on planet earth.
We mistakenly believe that if we cry out in pain loud enough, we will demand an audience with God. On the contrary, the true password to His presence is thanksgiving! When Queen Esther heard of the pity party that Uncle Mordecai was throwing in front of the king's gates, she sent new garments to Mordecai but he refused to put them on.
The Holy Spirit has given to us a new wardrobe to wear as well, but often we refuse to embrace the garment of praise and instead choose to parade through life in the garment of pain. The King of all kings knows that His presence is the place of victorious living for you and the door is thrown wide open for you to enter. Unfortunately, you are unable to walk into the inner courts of His palace while dressed in the disappointment of your circumstances.
Put on the garment of praise! Rather than writhe in emotional pain ... put your hands in the air and sing yourself into His presence!

You Are Next

Jealousy can be a dangerous thing and most of the time, Your not happy for the person when you should be because your asking yourself when will it be your turn.
I know I can't be the only one who has, no, feels this way. I know, I am horrible but human.
So when I came across this little devotional, my human side screamed out
but my spiritual side was telling me get on board and keep the faith for this to shall pass.
Stiff upper lip...get in line...for your are next and your reward is better than what you could imagine or think.
God Bless.
You Are Next!
Psalm 50:10 10
For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.
Suppose you have just heard of someone whose financial debts have been miraculously cleared. Or your elated friend has just told you that despite being an average student in school, he scored straight As in all his subjects.
Perhaps on Sunday, you heard a newlywed couple share about how they won an all-expense-paid trip for two to Hawaii, or how a once-childless couple is now expecting their miracle child. When you see or hear of others being blessed, do you ever wonder when it will be your turn?
Or do you even find yourself saying, “Oh, he got blessed with the very thing that I have been praying for. There goes my blessing.” Now, just because man’s economy operates on the principle of shortage, it does not mean that God operates in the same manner.
So the next time somebody gets blessed, tell yourself, “I won’t be disheartened. I won’t be jealous. I am the next one to be blessed!” Always remember that God does not have to bless anyone at your expense. Nor does He have to bless you at anyone’s expense. We don’t have to be jealous of each other.
There is a portion that God gives to you that no man can touch because it has your name on it — “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven”. (John 3:27) Our God is a rich God. He owns the whole universe. He has contacts and blessings you do not know of and which are reserved just for you!
There is more than enough for everybody with plenty of leftovers. In fact, you will not be able to take it all because when the blessings start coming in, they will come in a net-breaking, boat-sinking style. You will have to call for your friends in the other boats to come and help you! (Luke 5:1–7)
That is the kind of blessings that our God gives. So get ready for your blessings and overflowing abundance!
Thought For The Day God has contacts and blessings you do not know of and which are reserved just for you!

Say It Again

There are times over my life when my dad has threaten me to say what I said again when I had a attitude that wasn't pleasing to be around.
I was cocky and didn't want to be bothered as teenagers are fond of behaving seeing as they know everything.
And normally I would push the issue and repeat what I had said with more venom than before causing the situation to take a downward spiral real fast.
As I get older, I long for my son to say I love you again and again but he is growing up and busy doing his thing so it's time for me to get a grip.
So when I came across this little devotional, I saw a different meaning to the words say it again. These words aren't weak but powerful if I use the word of God to overtake and rid myself of my enemy.  In which case, I should be willing to say the word of God again and again anytime I deem necessary, which in most cases, could be every minute of the day.
God Bless.

Say It Again!
Satan has no place in me, no power over me, no unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by the blood of Jesus!
I can well remember when I first began to make this kind of testimony. I thought, I wonder where the devil will hit me next. I know of people who will not testify because they are afraid of what will happen when they do, but that is just playing the devil’s game. Remember, this is his way of keeping you from doing what will put you beyond his reach. It is only by the word of your testimony that you will get the benefits of the blood.
The first time you say it, all hell may break loose. Well, praise the Lord! Say it again. The Bible says, “Let us hold fast our confession” (Hebrews 4:14). And then, when everything really turns loose, Scripture says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering” (Hebrews 10:23). Keep on saying it. It does not depend on our feelings. It does not depend on our situations, symptoms, or circumstances. It is as eternally true as the Word of God.
Forever, God’s Word is settled in heaven. (See Psalm 119:89.) Satan has no place in us, no power over us, and no unsettled claims against us.
Thank You, Lord, for the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that Satan has no place in me, no power over me, no unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by the blood of Jesus! And I intend to declare this over and over again. Amen.

When You've Been Married Awhile

I rarely see my husband as a gift from God but mostly I see him as a pain in the a $$!
So when I came across this little devotional, I took notice. I allowed the words to soak through the tough interior I think I have trying to see what God was trying to tell me.
I'll be honest, I had to read this little devotional several times and my guilt of not only how I treat him but how I treat people in general gave me a rude awakening.
I knew at that moment, I had to humble myself and a line myself to God's heart and see not only as my husband as a gift but I needed a to see people as gifts as well.
A gifts that need to be unwrapped and loved and treasured in which God claims them to be.
God Bless.
When You’ve Been Married a While: See Your Spouse as God’s Gift We live in the age of the consumer.
Our fickle buying habits drive companies to pamper us with better and better products and better and better service.
Every year hotels get better, cars more luxurious, and computers faster. Every year cable TV brings more channels, Wal-Mart offers an even broader array of stuff, and there are even more types of coffees to order from your local barista.
If you look at your spouse with consumer eyes, you will soon be disappointed. This year’s model may look a lot like last year’s, definitely showing some wear. There is no money-back guarantee. There is no customer service department. There is no one you can sue.
So then don’t look at your spouse with consumer eyes. Look with the eyes of faith, seen through the lens of God’s Word. “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD” (Proverbs 18:22). Get it?
Your God who loves you is blessing you by letting you be married--it’s a sign of his favor, not a desire to torture you. You can spend your time itemizing the ways in which your spouse falls short. Or--you could take inventory of all the good qualities your spouse does have.
That very attitude makes everything better. If your spouse feels judged and inadequate, he may just give up and live down to your low expectations. But if she feels appreciated, she will strive to live up to your words of praise.

Mercy For Me, A Sinner

There is something I should be thankful for every day but I manage to take it for granted...mercy.
I'm more than a little thankful for it, I may just use it a little more than I should.
Truth be told, I don't respect mercy for if I did, then my behaviors and life would line up more than it does.
But thank God, mercy still rewrites my life every hour, every minute, and every second of the day.
God Bless.
Mercy for Me, a Sinner
Scripture Reading: Psalm 51:1-9 The tax collector . . . beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner. - Luke 18:13
Sometimes people who come to faith in Christ as adults are reluctant to join a church, because they feel that everyone else there has got their act together and is virtually perfect.
The truth, though, is that every one of us is often like the tax collector in Jesus’ parable—a sinner in need of God’s forgiveness and grace.
That’s why Psalm 51 rings so true in our hearts and minds. It also helps us remember that even the great King David of Israel, who wrote this psalm, was no better than any of us—even though he was called “a man after [God’s] own heart” (1 Samuel 13:14; 16:1-13).
If we already belong to a church, we must also be careful not to act like the Pharisee in Jesus’ parable, looking down our noses at others whom we think of as sinners—for we have all “sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:9)
Anyone who comes to the Lord, confessing their sins and recognizing Jesus as the only Savior, is justified by God. And the church of Christ is not a place where people have it all together; it’s simply a community of sinners saved by grace. Have you experienced God’s mercy?
If so, go and share that good news with others so that they can experience it too!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the assurance that we are saved by your grace. Thank you for accepting us as we are, and for forgiving us in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Likewise, Ye

I love anything that has to do with the correction of what a husband is suppose to do and I don't mind telling us, I run it in as much as my conscious will allow.

But as I was reading this little devotional, I saw more to the words that are written below.

Sure this little devotional is written to encourage men on how to treat their wife's but if you let it soak into your soul, you will find the devotional gives insight on how we, as children of God, are to perceive how God would like us to believe and act.

It is time to study God and His characteristics, His timing, His plan, but most of all, it's time to share the love the only why we can by walking in the rule He made us to be.

God Bless.

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered
- 1 Peter 3:7

Husband, get to know your wife. Study her. What makes her smile, giggle, thrill, or weep? What gives her joy, what gives her pain, what gives her goose bumps? What are her dreams, what makes her tick, what gets her down? You should not only be her best friend, but the one who knows her better than anyone and who uses that knowledge to help and strengthen her in Christ.

On the one hand, she is to be treated delicately and respectfully because her emotional and physical makeup is more fragile than yours (God said it, not me). On the other hand, she is immortal! She will spend eternity with you in heaven, so treat her like the glorious, magnificent child of God that she is.

If you fail to love and know her as you ought to, then you offend her heavenly Father who gave his Son for her sake and your prayers will be hindered.

Whether you are married or not, remember this: Jesus loves you, believer, perfectly and with perfect knowledge. He handles you carefully and knows your weaknesses. He joyfully anticipates spending eternity with you! And his prayers are never hindered because he never fails to help and strengthen his bride, the church.

A Way Of Escape

I'm no Houdini but I am always looking for a way out; mostly a way out of doing something God has told me to do.
And in doing this, I have found out I miss out on a lot of things God has for me.
Yeah, well, I'm stubborn that way. But if there is one thing I have been struggling with is the concept of communion. I don't even have the fainst idea if I do take it right.
But I have faith God see' s my heart and my wantingness to please Him that He will teach me and show me the way.
And when I came across this little devotional,  my heart, and faith soared. I may not be perfect but I'm willing to take advise and correction from the Big Dog.
God Bless.
A Way Of Escape
Psalm 23:5 5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
The table is set. The bread and wine are there, and Jesus says to you, “Come, My child, partake.” But you tell Him, “Lord, I am unworthy!” You are afraid to come to the Lord’s table perhaps because you have been taught that if you partake in your “unworthy” state, you will come under God’s fiery judgment.
My friend, Jesus has washed you whiter than snow and qualified you with His own blood, so you are as worthy as worthy can be! The most humble thing you can do now is to acknowledge His perfect sacrifice and accept His invitation with gladness.
In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul tells the church how to partake of the Lord’s Supper so that they will not drink judgment to themselves. The word “judgment” in verses 29 and 34 is krima in the original Greek text. It refers to a divine sentence. And in the context of this passage, the divine sentence refers to sickness. But when was this divine sentence of sickness passed?
It was passed when Adam sinned. (Genesis 3:19) When he sinned, death entered the world (Genesis 2:17), and man would grow old and weak, fall sick and die. So it is not that God is passing sentences of sickness on people today. How can that be when Jesus said, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:17)
God is not in the business of condemning but saving. And the Greek word for “saved”, sozo, also means to preserve, heal and make whole. God does not want you to suffer the divine sentence of sickness that is already in the world, so He has given you a way of escape, paid for by the blood of His Son. He wants you to be healthy and whole, without the diseases of the world, and He has made this possible for you through the Holy Communion.
So don’t be robbed of this tremendous blessing any longer because of erroneous teachings that have put fear in your heart. Come boldly to the Lord’s table today and receive afresh His health, strength, wholeness and life! Thought For The Day God wants you to be healthy and whole, without the diseases of the world, and He has made this possible for you through the Holy Communion.

Led By Light

I want, no I long to be led by the Spirit in every area of my life.
Not only that, I long to send the Spirit forth into all the world so people can see what I have known all along, God is good and His love for us is indescribable!
So, hear my prayer on this day and in the days to come: Led me, Lord Jesus into the marvelous light!
God Bless.

"For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." (Romans 8:14)
Paul's writing to the Romans about life through the Spirit. I often ask the question: "How do people survive without God in this world?" It is a mystery and is something that cannot be done.
The Holy Spirit's presence is what helps the believer to make it through every day. Without being led by the Spirit our lives would be a mess. Many times it is that still small voice that keeps us out of danger and gives us the solutions we need.
Thank God for the precious Holy Spirit, who teaches, comforts, recalls things we have learned and counsels us. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you.

Fleeing The Forbidden

Confidence. You just can't live without it if you want to achieve anything in life.
Confidence is also the biggest struggle one will face in their life.
If you don't get it early, then getting it later in life is so much more harder.
I so long to live a life of confidence. My head and heart always seem to be in a battle over it.
So that is why I hang on for dear life when little devotionals like this one comes along. It gives me a boost, just like a can of kick start gives me energy.
I want to run my race, finish crossing the finshline, and hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant," all the while having confidence in whom I belong to.
God Bless.

"So do not throw away your confidence it will be richly rewarded." (Hebrews 10:35)
Everyone gets to a point in their Christian life where they wonder if their faith in the Bible is based on reality or fiction. This is especially relevant to people who were saved early in life and have built their whole life around a routine of walking in faith.
Then something happens and all of a sudden, they wonder why they do the things they do, if it's right, and if God's Word can really be trusted. As Satan entices us with "forbidden" things we must remind ourselves of the confidence we have in God's infallible, perfect Word.
Our confidence in Him will be richly rewarded, so be steadfast and flee worldly pleasures.

The Gospel Message

Ever wondered what the Gospel Message is truly about? Or what it means for me? And why is it so important?

This little devotional helps put it all into perspective.

There is no doubt in my mind the Gospel Message is getting lost in transition somewhere while people are looking for something authentic.

We must have a reason for our beliefs and ready to respond when asked, so, let's get 'er done and hopefully we can take a lot from this little devotional and go out into the world and give them a new sense of hope.

God Bless.

Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
- John 11:26

In this single verse containing Jesus' words, we find a statement and a question. No statement -- no question -- could be more important for every reader to consider.

Jesus stakes his own word and his own person on this promise -- if you are spiritually alive and put your trust and hope in him, then you will never die. That is quite a promise! Especially in the face of all the decay, destruction, and death with which we are surrounded on a daily basis. Is it possible to escape death, to defy the laws of nature? Jesus says it is. But not in our own strength, science, or ingenuity. Only in Jesus can we access the power of a never-ending life.

If Jesus is honest, if Jesus is wise, if Jesus is good then his assurance is peace-granting, hope-infusing, and pain-relieving. Believers do not pass away, but pass on to a better and eternal and abundant life. Christians do not die; they depart for home.

For now, we cannot see or experience or test or prove the promises of Jesus. We have to trust him -- that he is not just showing us the way, but is the Way; that he not only is telling the truth, but is the Truth; that he is not only speaking of life, but is the Life.

Jesus' question, then, could not be more important, or more pointed: do you believe Jesus? Do you trust in Jesus? To anyone, to everyone, to whomsoever puts their trust in Jesus and believes his word, the promise is yours. So live like you are going to live forever.

God Transforms Us Through Suffering

I don't like the word suffering. I can't even begin to understand how that kind of word earn a right to be in the dictionary.
Even when I hear the word in a sentence makes me look around and wonder if the shoe is going to drop on my head and if so, how long will it last.
Personally, I think suffering she be banned or against the law but God seems to think suffering will make us a stronger and more effective person. We can agree to disagree on this, Lord knows I tell Him about it, yet, somehow He always seems to win the fight.
Yes, for me, suffering is a fight. A fight to see the good in it. So when I came across this little devotional, I suck up life, and get back in the race for I know, suffering may have me for a moment, but I'll be an overcome for eternity. Let is good enough for me.
God Bles.

God Transforms Us Through Sufferingby Kenneth D. Boa from Once-a-Day 40 Days to Easter Devotional
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer, by night, but I find no rest. Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; You are the one Israel praises. In You our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and You delivered them. To You they cried out and were saved; in You they trusted and were not put to shame. - Psalm 22:1-5
Meditation
God never promised that we would be exempt from affliction; rather, suffering is part of our lot in a fallen world.
However, there is hope because, though He does not always deliver us from suffering, He promises to deliver and transform us through it if we rely on His resources instead of our own. In such times of suffering, we can know for sure that we are not alone.
In the midst of our pain, God promises to never leave us or abandon us.
Therefore, when we grieve, we do not grieve like the world does; we grieve with hope, knowing that God is often revealed most clearly in the midst of our trials. God will never despise us or hide his face from us. When we cry for help, He will hear and will enable us to endure. The certainty of His companionship in the midst of our afflictions allows us to view them as a means to a greater end. Our suffering is accomplishing something in us, forging within us the character of the One in whose image we are made. Because of Christ, even our catastrophes have purpose. God is preparing our character for the time when we will see Him face to face.
Prayer
Lord of all creation, You have shown me that I will have tribulation in this world. But You have counseled me to take courage because You have overcome the world and have promised to never leave or forsake me. Grant me the grace to hold fast to the truths of the gospel, to the Person and work of Christ, and to the power of the Spirit. May I hope in Your promises, confessing that I am but a stranger and exile in this world, reveling in the love you have shown me and extending that love to others. Teach me to exult in my tribulations, knowing that difficulties bring about perseverance, character, and a hope that does not disappoint. And may I always remember that I am headed for a glorious and eternal future with You that cannot be compared to the temporary struggles of this world. In Your steadfast name I pray. Amen.

Give It Up

There is nothing like a Joyce Meyer devotional telling you like it is or making you see the error of your ways and causing the heart to do better.
And this little devotional does just that. She holds nothing back in trying to stir your heart to be less one minded but people minded.
If your people minded, you won't be a problem for carrying put God's plan. In fact, you will become a yes, Lord kind of person without to much thought or hassle.
So it comes down to this, Lord, I give up. I surrender myself to your will. Use me Lord to show the goodness of who You are.
God Bless.
Give It Up!
by Joyce Meyer
Unto You, O Lord, do I bring my life.
—Psalm 25:1
This is a very short but powerful verse. In fact it gives you the answer for your whole life: give it to the Lord.
This doesn’t mean you should bring Him just your worries and problems. It means bringing Him your entire existence and everything it entails. Grasping that truth will set you free from weariness and a feeling of wanting to give up.
I used to get worn out preparing for my meetings. I would get so intense about it and work so hard at making sure everything was right that I worked myself into exhaustion. Then I learned that all I have to do is give Him my life and everything in it. As we yield to Him, His peace fills us.
As you pray tonight, give your entire life to God and experience the freedom of knowing that whatever you face—good or bad—He has it under control.

Do Your Best

I remember when I was little, mom would say it didn't made how you did as long as you did your best.
Okay, she still has a habit of saying it and if I'm completely honest, I hated her saying it then and I hate her saying it even worse now!
I'm a pleaser. But not necessary in the way one might think. I only look out for myself. I have a tendency to think of only myself but the word of God tells me to think otherwise. There lies the struggle.
If I am suppose to think of others than I go the extra, unnecessary mile on making sure they are happy in every area of their lives. Overboard becomes my second nature.
But it's not my job to make sure people are happy. It's my job in making sure I've done everything possible to ensure they will spend eternity in the right place and I accomplish my task by being and doing the best I can with what I have available because there are people unknowingly counting on me.
God Bless.
Do Your Best
by Joyce Meyer
But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father— [it is] Jesus Christ . . . And He [that same Jesus Himself ] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of ] the whole world.
—1 John 2:1–2
You are responsible to people, but God has not made you responsible for their joy. You may have children, or siblings, or a spouse God has given you to love and nurture who seem uninterested in your testimony. Some people just refuse to be happy, so don’t let them steal your joy.
You cannot fix anyone, and you shouldn’t take the blame for everything that goes wrong in someone else’s life. Obviously, you cannot make everybody you know believe in Jesus. But you can get up every day and do your best, and then trust God for the rest.

Develop Your Potential And Do Something Now

Just subject alone got my heart pumping. But after reading this little devotional, I seemed to emerge from it pumped up and ready go....and to do something.
Life seems to be all about finding your potential and gifting and that is all well and good but when your a person like me who has a life that seems to get in the way, well, let's just say one might need a little encouragement to keep going and fighting the good fight.
So, I need all the help I can get and this little devotional does just that and if it encourages me, how can I not share it with a friend.
God Bless.
Develop Your Potential and Do Something Now
You may know that God's created you with great potential, but you can't stop there. You have to develop your potential.
I believe that many people are unhappy because they aren't doing anything to develop their potential. If you want to see your potential developed to its fullest, don't wait until everything is perfect. Do something now. Start laying your hand to whatever is in front of you.
You must give your potential some form by doing something with it. You will never find what you are capable of doing if you never try anything.
Don't be so afraid of failing that you never take a chance. Don't stay in the safety zone. You may feel safe, but you will never succeed at developing your full potential or being fulfilled in what you are doing. Step out into what you feel God is leading you to do, and you will soon discover what you can and cannot do.
You are full of God-given potential, and He wants to do more through your life than you could ever imagine, but it requires your cooperation. Step out and serve Him wholeheartedly today.
Prayer Starter: Lord, in everything I do, I want to serve You wholeheartedly. Thank You for encouraging me to step out and take action, developing the great potential You have given me.

Say It Out Loud

We all know the saying, 'we are what we eat.'

Or maybe you can relate to the saying, 'you are what you think.'

But have we ever thought of we are what we Say? I think not. Most of the time, we just let our mouth do the talking and we fund ourselves in trouble most of our lives from our own making.

We allow open doors for sin, doubt, and every evil work to enter if we don't get the tongue under control.

It is time we try a new thing and allow the word of God to take over and stop the madness that comes from a tongue that is allowed to run a muck and just maybe, the world will become a better place.

God Bless.

Say It Out Loud

by Joyce Meyer

I am alert and active, watching over my word to perform it. —Jeremiah 1:12
Today I want to share with you some powerful truths that are based in God’s Word. I encourage you to confess these words over and over, so they will change your thinking and become part of your belief system about yourself. As you confess them with a heart full of faith, doing your best to believe them and act on them, you’ll be well on your way to a healthy self-image.
1. No matter how often I fail, I will not give up, because God is with me to strengthen and sustain me. He has promised to never leave me or forsake me (see Hebrews 13:5).
2. I like myself. I don’t like everything I do, and I want to change—but I refuse to reject myself.
3. I am right with God through Jesus Christ.
4. God has a good plan for my life. I am going to fulfill my destiny and be all I can be for His glory. I have God-given gifts and talents, and I intend to use them to help others.
5. I am nothing, and yet I am everything! In myself I am nothing, and yet in Jesus I am everything I need to be!
6. I can do all things I need to do, everything God calls me to do, through His Son Jesus Christ (see Philippians 4:13).
Love Yourself Today: Review the list of six confessions that will help you gain a healthy, biblical self-image. Which one do you need to focus on most today?

Grave

I hate death. There's absolutely no good that comes from it. And if one more person tells me, that time will heal the pain from the loss, I think I may puke right on their shoes.

Sure, their comments come from a concern for you but unless your right in the thick of it, you don't want to hear anything about death or what good can come from it...absolutely nothing.

The only time, and I mean the only time something good happened from death is when Jesus conquered it and raised from the grave and we no longer have to put up with it or be defeated by it and to this I say...JOY TO THE WORLD!

God Bless.

Our experience tells us that people do not return from the grave. At the heart of our desolation when death strikes is the awful certainty that in this life we will not see our loved ones again. We attend funerals to honor their memory and grieve our loss, but we do not expect to be greeted at the door by the person who has died.

In light of this, it should not seem surprising that Jesus’ disciples were reluctant to believe that He had risen from the dead. Following the testimony of the women who had seen an angel, an empty tomb, and Jesus Himself (Matthew 28:1-10), “the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted!” (vv.16-17).

Distinguishing Ourselves

As believers we should be influencing every aspect of the world. I could agree more with the first line of this little devotional.

Yet I know, we are nowhere near achieving any part of the sentence either. We, are a mess. The world is a mess. So I guess the question is, which one is going to rise up and change the world?

Father God, may it be your people.

God Bless.

Distinguishing Ourselves

We become influencers, knowing that God has called us to be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath (see Deuteronomy 28:13).

As believers we should be influencing every aspect of the world. We are to not only rise above adverse circumstances but also to be leaders in a lost world. We are to be light in the darkness. If we are the head and not the tail, we should be leading in all aspects of society. But how do we distinguish ourselves in this way? Through God’s incredible grace.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us… (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV)
We know God is able. That’s what Paul told us in Ephesians. If God is able, why aren’t we automatically head and shoulders above everyone else? It’s because of what we choose to believe about ourselves. God places us right where we need to be, and He has given us the tools to excel. But these tools must be accessed by His power—which is His grace.

You might say, “But John, I’ve been trying to do well and other people are still doing much better than I am!” It is not by our works that we succeed but by God's power at work within us, and that power is accessed by faith. Faith is like a container for grace. God’s grace will only fill whatever container we bring to Him. If we bring Him a bucket, He will give us a bucketful. But if we believe for grace in the measure of an ocean, then He will supply an ocean of His empowerment to us!

Do you believe God promises you only what it takes to get by, or do you believe that His grace can position you to excel and succeed? Are you ready to tap into the full potential of grace and have significant influence on everyone around you?
