Advent: Christ Is Coming

This has to be one of my favorite season's. Christmas and Advent is a winning combo and I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Advent devotional's with you.

Christ is the reason for the season.

God Bless

Advent is a 4-week season of expectant waiting celebrated around the world. It is a time for preparing our hearts to behold our Savior, the prophesied Messiah. It is a time of reflection and for teaching our children about Jesus' virgin birth, life, death, and resurrection. May this season draw our hearts back to reflect on what has been done and propel us onward into a new year of expectation and readiness for His next glorious appearing!

LIGHT THE CANDLE
We are awaiting the Messiah!
Explain advent to you family and make your plans for this time daily. Make 25 notches or marks on a tall candle and write the numbers 1-25 (with a permanent marker) next to each mark. Light the candle each evening as you open God's Word privately or as a family and let it burn down one notch each night.

READ THE SCRIPTURE
God's Covenant with Creation and Man
Genesis 1:27-28, 2:16-17 and Jeremiah 33:19-22
