God Wants You To Be Available

I'm going to share a secret with you, I'm not always available for God and what He wants to do in my life.
In fact, I'm more selfish than anything. God, I'm such a selfish person. Maybe it's because I'm the baby of the family or maybe not. I just know I wasn't raise to be so selfish.

However, God has put several things in my life that help keep me balanced. Where once I would have walked by someone who was in need or wouldn't leave a quarter in the cart, I now tend to listen to my conscious and do the right thing but I could stand to use it more than I do.

In fact, I could stand to put God first more and be more available to His way's and His plans and die to myself more and more.

God Bless.

God wants you to be available.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” Matthew 5:16, KJV.

One afternoon while leaving the grocery store, I noticed a woman limping slowly to her car. I looked at her foot and it appeared as though she had just had surgery. She wore a special shoe. So I asked if I could pray for her. I said, “Hi ma’am, I know you don’t know me, but would you mind if I pray for your foot? I believe God loves to heal people.” She looked at me and said, “Yes.” I promised her that I wouldn’t pray a long drawn out prayer. So I touched her leg and prayed, “Father, I pray for my sister. I believe you care when we’re in pain. I pray you heal her foot Father God and take away all the pain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” With tears in her eyes, she thanked me and asked if she could give me a hug. “Of course,” I told her. I then hugged her and went on my way…thankful to God for using me to bless someone.

God wants you to be available to Him, ready and willing to be used by Him at any given moment. You may not know enough to be a Bible scholar, but you do know Jesus and what He has done for you, and that’s enough to be dangerous to the kingdom of darkness and highly useful in the Kingdom of God!
Prayer: Father God, I thank You for speaking so clearly to me. I cast my cares on you because I know you care for me. I make myself available to you to work through me. I am ready and willing Father. Show your love through me and shine your amazing light. Help me brighten someone’s day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
