Be Confident In His Medicine

I hate goung to the doctor and I hate getting medicine. Most of the time the combo makes me feel worse than when I first went.
But I also know the importance and the contribution each one of them has made in this world. Wothout both of them, a lot of people would be greatly effected and love ones lost.
But isn't it about time we started looking at a posssible altogether different solution? I think so.
Maybe instead of medicating ourselves into zobies we start looking to the greatest physician to ever walk the planet. His record speaks for itself and the complaint department hasn't gotten a single complaint about how He practices medicine nor can anyone say anything demeaning concerning His results.
He can raise the dead, give sight to the blind, and bind up every wound that ever comes your way with just one touch of His hand.
He is no respecter of person's. If He did it for one, He will do it for you. All we have to do is seek Him and believe. What's not to love?
God Bless.

Be Confident in His Medicine
by Gloria Copeland
“Having done all, to stand. Stand....” Ephesians 6:13-14
As you put God’s prescription for health (Proverbs 4:20-24) to work in your life, don’t be discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Although many times healing comes instantly, there also are times when it takes place more gradually. So don’t let lingering symptoms cause you to doubt. After all, when you go to the doctor, you don’t always feel better right away. The medication he gives you often takes some time before it begins to work. But you don’t allow the delay to discourage you. When you take God’s medicine you are really “treating” your spirit, which is the source of supernatural life and health for your physical body. So release that same kind of confidence in God’s medicine. Realize that the moment you begin to take it, the healing process begins. Keep your expectancy high and make up your mind to continue standing on the Word until you can see and feel the total physical effects of God’s healing power. When the devil whispers words of doubt and unbelief to you, when he suggests that the Word is not working, deal with those thoughts immediately. Cast them down (2 Corinthians 10:5). Speak out loud if necessary and say, “Devil, I rebuke you. I bind you from my mind. I will not believe your lies.” Then say for your own hearing and benefit something to confirm your faith like, “God has sent His Word to heal me, and His Word never fails. That Word went to work in my body the instant I believed it. So as far as I am concerned, my days of sickness are over. I declare that Jesus bore my sickness, weakness and pain, and I am forever free.” Then, “having done all, to stand. Stand…” until your healing is fully manifest (Ephesians 6:13-14). Steadfastly hold your ground. Remember, your confidence is in God’s Word, His medicine...not in your symptoms.

Faith As A Mustard Seed

It is hard to imagine that faith can work like a mustard seed seeing the seed is so small and really nothing to it.
But according to the bible, that is how much you need of faith to see it work so that leads me to believe if it isn't working, it is not the seed but us.
And believe you me, with everything happening in this world it's hard to have enough faith to make it through an hour let alone a day, a week, even a year.
But thank heaven that if we made it to a new day, we must have done something right but if we need and want to have a stronger faith, we must kick it up a notch and get stronger in the word then live it. In fact, may we start by living by a greater faith today.
God Bless
"I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." (NLT) -Matthew 17:20 It can be easy to underestimate the power of faith. However, as Jesus explains, it is very potent and only takes a small amount of faith to accomplish great things. If you feel overwhelmed, have faith that God can and will provide the strength to move mountains. What is faith? Faith is going against all logic to think or act based on a belief.

Be Careful To Live Properly Among Your Unbelieving Neighbors

When I first read this little devotional I laughed. If the writer of this devotional knew who my neighbors are, they might rethink the wording of what they wrote.
I have all types of neighbors. Nosey ones, know it all, and everything In between. So this one is really hard one for me but if I want to be a true Christian and walk in the way rhe bible tells me to, I need to work it out and get a new heart attitude where my neighbors are concerned.
I know that if I can get it right where they are concerned and be a witness for them then the world will be my oyster and just maybe I can and will see a much needed change in the world.
God Bless.
Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world. (NLT) -1 Peter 2:12 It happens. At one time or another, you get too much change back. It is in these moments where our character gets put to the test. If we live honorably, we don't have to worry or feel guilty. Even further, we prove to be an exception to the rule for those around us when we do the right thing. We become a walking witness to others through our actions. Who knows, maybe it will even open up opportunity for a powerful conversation.

Flexing Your Gratitude Muscles

The only thing I want to say about thislittle devotional is EVERY word has a dose of truth in them.
We must have an attitude of thankfulness if we want to survive and flourish in this day and age not only for us and the benefits that goes along with it but there are people who are in need of our gratitude.  A smile, a hug, a listening ear, or saying thank you  just might change the world one day.
God Bless.
Flexing Your Gratitude Muscles
Scripture Reading: Luke 17:11-19 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. - Luke 17:16
I’m a bit of a health nut. I exercise regularly. As I age, I’m noticing how quickly my muscles weaken when I don’t use them for a while. It’s often said that if you don’t use them, you lose them. It’s helpful to think of gratitude in that way too. Gratitude is not an inborn trait that some have and others don’t. Rather, it’s more like a muscle that can be strengthened over time. And being intentional about exercising it can be critical to becoming a more grateful person. We don’t know much about the ten lepers that Jesus healed. We know that the one who returned and gave thanks was a Samaritan. Luke may have included that detail because the Samaritans were looked down on by the Jews of Jesus’ day. But this Samaritan demonstrated a level of gratitude that the other lepers didn’t show.
At a time when things like entitlement, accusation, venting anger, and violence seem to have taken hold of our culture, what kind of impact might gratitude have? Saying “I’m grateful” or “Thank you” does not simply express our thanksgiving but actually gives voice to a countercultural witness that has the power to push back the tide of resentment among us. Then there is room for a fresh appreciation of God’s renewing, saving grace. Are you keeping your gratitude muscles in shape? Prayer: Gracious God, receive our thanks for your healing touch and power in our lives. In the name of Jesus, help us remember all that you do for us each day. Amen.

No One Else Could Have Made You

This little devotional is so Good!
Get a hold of the truth in these words and never let go.
You are worth it. You have value! YOU AND ME ARE A TREASURE TO THE KING!
Let's start living like it!
Go! And let God be who He created us to be for thine us the kingdom and the power and the glory!
God Bless.
No One Else Could Have Made You,
You “You made my whole being; you formed me in my mother’s body” (Psalm 139:13 NCV).
God planned every single day of your life. Before you took your first breath, God knew every single event of your life. Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God. It is not fate, or chance, or luck, or coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment. You’re alive right now because God wanted you — with all of your strengths and weaknesses — to be alive. Whether your parents were good, bad, or indifferent, God used them because they had the exact DNA needed to create you. God wanted you alive. From the beginning of time, God has had a plan for your life — and he has a purpose he wants you to complete. No one else could have made you to be you. The Bible says, “You made my whole being; you formed me in my mother’s body. I praise you because you made me in an amazing and wonderful way . . .
You saw my bones being formed as I took shape in my mother’s body. When I was put together there, you saw my body as it was formed. All the days planned for me were written in your book before I was one day old” (Psalm 139:13-16 NCV). God was intimately involved in your birth. He loved you then and he’ll love your forever. Your parents may have contributed your DNA, but God made you. You were not just one more baby born. God personally planned for your birth. You are God’s masterpiece. He made you for a reason: to fulfill his purposes in this world.

He Really Is Good

I remember when I used to pray 'God is good, God Is great, let us thank Him for our food.'
But I have to be honest, I don't think I knew what that meant nor did I believe God was good as my youth and early day's of adulthood went by.
But now I am older and hopefully wiser and I know better than to think this way now. I am not saying I am an expert in this area but I want to be.
I want to wash away doubt and stand firm in my faith knowing I serve a good God and not just saying I do like a good Christian would.
But I am on my way with the encouragement I am on the right by reading little devotional's like this and maybe someday, my faith in a good God will overshadow my doubt and it can be seen by others.
God Bless.
He Really Is Good
by Gloria Copeland
“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.” Psalm 145:8-9 If God ever filed suit for defamation of character, almost everyone on the planet would be found guilty of slander. What traditional religion has taught about God would make any sane person want to run for cover. As a matter of fact, more than 50 years ago when Oral Roberts started preaching that God is a good God, it made most preachers mad—especially Full Gospel preachers. But it was the revolutionary news that God is a good God that brought about the great healing revival of the late ’40s. Until then, most people didn’t know God wanted to do them good.
They had been told it was God who made them sick. They had been told He put pain and disease in their bodies to teach them something. Many had been told that sometimes it simply was not God’s will to heal them, and some that God never heals today. Imagine how shocked those people were when Brother Roberts first made his bold proclamation that God is a good God and He wants you well. As a result of that proclamation, people’s attitude toward healing began to change. Faith began to rise up in their hearts. Then great miracles began to take place. Before that time, most people were afraid of God. When you’re in fear, it’s impossible to open up your heart to God. It’s hard to receive anything good from a God you can’t trust. But once you know the truth about who your Father is and what kind of nature He actually has, it’s easy to receive His blessings. That’s why it’s so important to know what God is really like. Psalm 145 tells the truth about God. He: is gracious is full of compassion is slow to anger is of great mercy is good to all satisfies the desire of every living thing is nigh to all who call on Him fulfills the desire of them that fear Him hears our cries and saves us preserves all who love Him That’s the picture of God you should hang on the wall of your heart. When you see God as He really is, you don’t have to work to have faith. You don’t have to memorize formulas. You just trust Him. He really is a good God!

Because If You Confess With Your Mouth

This is such a simple devotional but yet seems so hard to carry forth. Why?
Fear. Plain and simple. The evil of all evils.
But thank heavens there are devotionals out there to help make sense what it trurly means to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord.
I have spent years going back and forth feeling like I wasn't worthy because I truly didn't have a clue what it meant of the power I had to make this world a better place before me.
Thank God, He never gave up on me and sent this we devotional my way to show me He doesn't see me the way I see myself or consider me stupid for now h having the answers. He just loved me into freedom. And it's high time, I share the wealth of that knowledge to those around me.
God Bless.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
The meaning of the resurrection is that God is for us. He aims to close ranks with us. He aims to overcome all our sense of abandonment and alienation. The resurrection of Jesus is God’s declaration to Israel and to the world that we cannot work our way to glory but that he intends to do the impossible to get us there. The resurrection is the promise of God that all who trust Jesus will be the beneficiaries of God’s power to lead us in paths of righteousness and through the valley of death.
Therefore, believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead is much more than accepting a fact. It means being confident that God is for you, that he has closed ranks with you, that he is transforming your life, and that he will save you for eternal joy. Believing in the resurrection means trusting in all the promises of life and hope and righteousness for which it stands. It means being so confident of God’s power and love that no fear of worldly loss or greed for worldly gain will lure us to disobey his will. That’s the difference between Satan and the saints. O, might God circumcise our hearts to love him and to rest in the resurrection of his Son.

When You're Angry, Slow Down And THINK

Speaking my mind, no problem. Railing it in once I get started, major problem and usually leads to devastating effects.
But thank God I am working on this problem and becoming a person who can see there are two sides of a story.
It's a major step for me but I can see the benefits out way anything I might say then do. Thankful for grace and mercy and the healing power to heal all wounds that have been caused by a loose tongue.
Maturity, yeah, this is what I long for. Yep, day by day maturity so that I can bind up the broken hearted. I am on my way.
God Bless.
When You’re Angry, Slow Down and THINK
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry” (James 1:19b NIV).
We save ourselves lots of pain and heartache if we follow one simple rule: Slow down when we’re angry or hurt. The Bible says, “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry” (James 1:19b NIV).
Yet, usually we do just the opposite. We’re quick to speak, slow to listen, and swift to become angry. That’s backward! But if you do the first two — be slow to speak and quick to listen — the last part will be automatic. You’ll find yourself becoming angry less often and less naturally. There’s an important rhythm to this idea, which the Bible reiterates over and over again. For example: • Proverbs 14:29: “Patient people have great understanding, but people with quick tempers show their foolishness” (NCV). • Proverbs 15:28: “Good people think before they answer. Evil people have a quick reply, but it causes trouble” (GNT). • Proverbs 15:18: “Losing your temper causes a lot of trouble, but staying calm settles arguments” (CEV). How do you slow down and think before rushing to anger? Consider these five questions before speaking when you’re angry. • T: Is it truthful? Is what I’m about to say the truth? • H: Is it helpful? Or will it simply harm the other person? • I: Is it inspirational? Does it build up, or does it tear down? • N: Is it necessary? If it’s not necessary, why do I need to say it? • K: Is it kind? Will it encourage or discourage? It’s not enough just to slow down when we’re angry. Take extra time to THINK about what to say or do next.

If One Person Falls

I love this little devotional. I love the concept of it. And if we, as Christians would take it to heart then this world would be a better place where loved ruled and evil drooled and wished they had come up with something as cool.
But, there always seems to be a but, this isn't the case or it's few and far between. But I have a dream where love, kindness, and compassion will someday rule the world before Christ returns and it starts with me and ends with you as you help me pick up the mantle and carry the dream of love to a lost and dying world.
God Bless.
If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. (NLT) -Ecclesiastes 4:10
Work on growing your relationship with someone near to you. Maybe it's a friend, neighbor, sibling, or parent. Maybe it's your spouse, and life events have been pulling the two of you apart. Spend valuable time investing in these relationships, and not only will you get further in life than you would by yourself, but you will feel rewarded in being part of another's life story.

Every Day God Gives Opportunities To Help Others

This little devotional is so true. Please read it and then live it.
I can personally say, I have been lacking in this area but I want to throw out a challenge to you, if you begin to walk this little devotional, I will walk it out too. And I can't help but think maybe there is a love revolution on the horizon.
God Bless.
Every Day God Gives Opportunities to Help Others
“Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act” (Proverbs 3:27 NIV).
Every day God gives you little opportunities to show kindness to people around you. As he does, he’s watching to see if you’re going to be self-centered or if you’ll notice the people who need a word of encouragement or a pat on the back or an errand done for them or some other practical means of help. The Bible says, “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act” (Proverbs 3:27 NIV). You won’t always have an opportunity to help. So when you do, take the Nike approach: Just do it! You probably have people in your life that you’ve thought about helping. You have the best intentions, but so far, you’ve done nothing. Why? You didn’t act immediately. We make excuses. One of the most prominent: “I’ll do it when things settle down.” Guess what? Things never will. If you’re going to do any good in your life, the time is now. The Bible says, “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done” (Ecclesiastes 11:4 TLB).
Do good now because we’re not guaranteed tomorrow. Jesus says, “All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, for there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end” (John 9:4 TLB). God has assigned tasks for all of us to do in our lives. And our lives are ticking away. Don’t wait for perfect conditions; every day, look for the opportunities God gives you to help and encourage others.

I Entrust My Spirit Into Your Hand

The following little devotional is simple and true. The only thing I can think to add is to live by it and I can't help but wonder if we did, what might happen to our everyday lives. I can see not only our lives being changed, but our homes, neighbors, towns, cities, states, and everything in between. May it be so.
God Bless.
I entrust my spirit into your hand.
Rescue me Lord, for you are a faithful God. (NLT) -Psalm 31:5
Times get tough and life is not easy. Place your faith in God, look to Him for protection. Pray to Him and tell Him your worries. He is always there, faithfully waiting for you to come to Him. If you are having a hard time seeing God's faithfulness, ask Him to open your eyes. Ask Him to show you all that He is doing in your life.

Keep Your Eyes On The Light

Some say looking straight into a light can damage your eyes. Some say if you stare at the sun long enough your sight will be gone for a few minutes.
I don't know if any of that is true but I say, if you are going to look into something, try looking into the God's eye's. The only light that has and will ever beam everything the  world needs.
And if you have walked away from the Light, don't worry, it shines as bright in the earliest hours of the morning to the deepest darkest hours of the night. You can't out run it, nothing can outshine it, and you won't be able to live without it once you've seen what it can do.
The only requirement is accept it and keep your eye on it for it is always pushing you toward the mark of the prize which is the Redeemer of the world.
God Bless.
Keep Your Eyes on the Light
by Gloria Copeland
“You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises (comes into being) in your hearts.” 2 Peter 1:19, The Amplified Bible Do you know what the most important thing in your life is? It’s not where you work. It’s not even your family. The most important thing in your life is keeping your heart full of the light of God’s Word.
You can have faith strong enough to change circumstances in your life. You can live in victory instead of defeat. But you’ll only do it continually by spending time in God’s Word. Proverbs 4:20-23 spells out this key to success in no uncertain terms: “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” If your heart is full of the Word, you can get a good job—the best job! You can pray your family into line. And the way to get the Word in your heart is through your ears and your eyes. That’s how you keep the Word in the midst of your heart. That’s why you put God’s Word first place in your life. It’s the answer to everything. When you give your attention to the Word of God, every other area in your life will be successful. You see, God’s Word shows you how to live victoriously, even in a dark world. When you walk according to the Word, it shines a light on your pathway. The Apostle Peter talks about that light of the Word. He says to pay close attention to it like you would a lamp shining in a dark place. Continually focus your attention on the Word of God, and you can fight the good fight of faith and win even when negative circumstances surround you. Keep your eyes on the light, and you will have light. It will bring you through to victory! Speak the Word “I attend to the Word of God. I keep it in the midst of my heart. It is life to me and health to all my flesh.” —Proverbs 4:20-22

When Mouth Speaks, Mind Listen

When the mouth speaks, the mind listens, if only that were true. For me, it's the other way around.
Yep, sure my mouth gets me in trouble in any givven day, it's my mind I have a hard time to control.
Any in any given day, I long for my mind to shut down and not think of things that hasn't even happen yet and just enjoy the day.
Well, so far, it hasn't happened today, but I have faith that the God of this universe is working in me and tomorrow might be the day when my mind, body, soul, and spirit is living in peace.
God Bless.

When Mouth Speaks, Mind Listens
by Kenneth Copeland “There is no truth in him [the devil].” John 8:44
You might as well face it. As long as you are on this earth, the devil is going to talk to you. He has a right to test your faith by bringing you circumstances and lies to see if you’ll receive them. But when he does, refuse them. Cast down those fearful imaginations and every thought that is contrary to the promise of God (2 Corinthians 10:5).
Say, “The Lord is on my side. I will not fear!” Then open your mouth and speak the Word of God. Use it to contradict the devil’s lies. If he tells you, You won’t have enough money for your house payment this month, don’t just struggle silently with that thought. Speak up. Say right out loud, “I will have the money for my house payment. I know I will because my God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!” I found out a long time ago that when my mouth speaks, my mind has to stop and listen to what it’s saying. Maybe you won’t fully believe that confession the first time you make it. But if you’ll keep saying it, you’ll keep hearing it. And what you hear, you’ll believe. Eventually your faith will be so strong and your heart will be so full, you’ll start speaking with total confidence.
That’s when the devil will run for cover because fear has no chance when faith comes on the scene. Faith is the original. Fear is the counterfeit. And the real overcomes the phony every time. Speak the Word “The Lord is on my side. I do not fear!” —Psalm 118:6

Destined For Greatness

There is so much wisdom and hope in this little devotional.
We should not only take this little devotional as a key to our life but begin to live it so we can spread the message of the hope we within us for we are destined to be great and to make this world a better place.
God Bless.
Destined for Greatness
by Kenneth Copeland
“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:20-21
You are destined for greatness! God’s plan and desire is for you to be so full of His Anointing that it overflows to others, changing their lives forever! “Well, now, Brother Copeland, you know not everyone is destined for greatness in the kingdom of God. As the Bible says, some vessels are gold and silver... others are soil and earth. I guess I’m just one of those little mud vessels.” If you are, it’s your own fault! God isn’t the one who decides if we’re to be vessels of honor or not. We make the decision ourselves. If you want to be a vessel of honor in the house of God, you can be. According to 2 Timothy 2:19-21, you simply have to purge yourself from iniquity and dishonor. Notice I said purge yourself. God won’t do it for you. He cleansed you from sin the moment you were born again, but it’s your responsibility to keep yourself pure. It’s up to you to confess your sins and walk in holiness day by day. God will give you power, certainly, but you’re the one who must put that power to work. The Bible doesn’t say Jesus will drag you away from iniquity, it says you are to depart from it. You are to cleanse yourself from sin as well as to cleanse yourself from the phony faith tactics and other subtle dishonorable practices many believers use. Don’t ever be like the fellow who went down to the altar and knelt down right next to the richest man in the church and began praying in his finest Elizabethan English: “Oh, God, Thou knowest how we’ve suffered in our house with no washing machine. You know, Lord, how my little babies have to wear dirty diapers because I don’t have any way to wash them. Oh, God, You know I’ve given away all I have for You....” When the rich man yielded to the pressure and gave him a washing machine, that fellow said he got it by faith. That wasn’t faith! It was a religious con and that’s the worst kind of con there is. We must back away from such dishonorable ways. We need to be a people of honor who would rather wash our clothes out by hand than do something like that. We need to be the kind of people who get off in a corner where no one can hear us and pray to our heavenly Father in secret, believing He will reward us openly! Then, we can fulfill all of His plans for greatness...plans for us to overflow into other people’s lives with the fullness of His Anointing! Speak the Word “I am a vessel of honor, sanctified, and fit for the Master’s use.” —2 Timothy 2:21

You Will Be Satisfied In The Kingdom of God

Satisfaction now a days is hard to achieve.
In my experience, there's seems to be something pulling at us at all time. There doesn't seem to be a time for just doing nothing.
To enjoy one another's company without a phone or an app is becoming a thing of the past and with social media, keeping up with the Jones seems to be the thing to strive for yet unattainable making people loose their grip on common sense and what matters most.
It's time we get back to the basics and realize the only satisfaction we are going to have is when we acknowledge Jesus as Lord of Lord's.
God Bless.
“You Will Be Satisfied In The Kingdom Of God”
I once saw two photos. In the first one, all the possessions of a typical family in the USA were piled up on their front lawn, and it was an enormous pile! In the second photo, all the possessions of a typical family in the third world were spread out on a single blanket. At the end of their lives, most people wish that they could have another day, week, or even another minute of time with their loved ones. What matters most is not the stuff, but the people. When you live your life in the rat race, you are never satisfied, and that tells you something: that you were never chasing the right thing to start with. That’s why Jesus tells us firstly who he is: he is the “bread of life.” He is telling us that he is the Source. And then Jesus tells us what he can do for us: “he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.” Christ is the one who satisfies, and nothing else will do. Jesus tells us to put him and his Kingdom first, and then we’ll have everything we need and more.
Because in his Kingdom, there’s always much more than enough. Are you dissatisfied with part of your life? What do you still need to do, achieve or receive? If you never did, would Jesus still be enough for you? Think deeply about this, and then go into prayer, asking Christ to be everything for you, so that you may be completely satisfied in him.

No Matter What People Say, God Is For You

I can't help but wonder where we would be if we stopped listening to people and follow our hearts.
A new world, I would think. But this isn't the case. We have things being whispered in our ears about everything.
Maybe it's time we start something new. Maybe it's time we start listening to the only person who matters, you know who, He is the creator of the Universe.
God Bless.
No Matter What People Say, God Is for You
“The Lord is for me, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Psalm 118:6 NLT).
If you try to do anything of value in life, naysayers will come your way. They might ridicule you, spread rumors about you, or even threaten you. But don’t focus on the naysayers. Don’t focus on your problems. Focus on God and his promises. Become a promise person. In 1 Samuel 30:6, the Bible tells us about David’s reaction to one instance of criticism: “David was seriously worried, for in their bitter grief for their children, his men began talking of killing him. But David took strength from the Lord” (TLB).
When a naysayer comes your way, don’t head to a co-worker or a friend to gossip. Find strength in the Lord. Pray, “Lord, I know you love me. I know you have a plan for my life. I’m going to trust you.” David says it like this: “The Lord is for me, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Psalm 118:6 NLT). People can dislike you, and it won’t harm you. You don’t need anyone else’s approval to be happy. You’re as happy as you choose to be. You don’t need a parent’s approval, a brother’s approval, a sister’s approval, or some friend’s approval. The Lord is for you. You don’t have to be afraid. People have their opinions. So what? David writes in Psalm 119:11a, “I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart” (The Message). That’s what you need to do. Stop storing up in your mind all the negativity that comes your way. Instead, bank on the promises of God. And trust that he will do exactly what he says he will do.

Don't Be Caught By Surprise

I hate surprises. Never have and probably never will. But am I on guard. Nah, i just try to live my life.
But when I am caught by surprise my emotions take over and send me into orbit thast can last for day's.
For me, surprises are bad and knowing what life is going to throw my way, good. But unfortunately, life doesn't work that way.
However, with the help of this little devotional, I now have an advantage when surprises come my way.
God Bless.
Don’t Be Caught by Surprise
by Gloria Copeland
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2 We all know that Jesus is coming back someday. And, I believe, it’s much sooner than we all think. So we need to be ready. It’s our responsibility to be prepared. God has given us everything we need. He has put His own Spirit within us and given us His written Word. He has given us teachers, preachers, pastors, evangelists, apostles and prophets to help us learn how to live by faith, how to live separated from the world, how to walk in the spirit, and how to operate in the power of God. But we must decide to make those things the priority in our lives.
One way to keep them a priority is by cultivating the expectancy of Jesus’ soon return. We must spend time studying and meditating the scriptures about Jesus’ coming. Even though God hasn’t disclosed to us the exact day or the hour, according to the Bible, if we’re alert, we will know the season of His return. In fact, Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24 that His coming would be like the Flood in Noah’s day. That flood took the world by surprise, didn’t it? The people were just going about their natural business, not expecting anything unusual, when suddenly they were swept away. They were completely in the dark about what was happening. But Noah wasn’t caught by surprise! He’d been building the ark for years. He’d been expecting the Flood. He didn’t know the day or the hour, but he knew it was coming and he was ready. When it started to rain, Noah wasn’t in the dark, he was in the ark! That’s how we’re supposed to be. We’re to be aware of the season (1 Thessalonians 5:1-6). If you’re watching and in tune with the Spirit, you won’t be in the dark. You won’t be unaware at the time of Jesus’ coming. You’ll know in your spirit He is at the door. You won’t be caught by surprise. Speak the Word “I look up and lift up my head for my redemption is drawing near!” —Luke 21:28

Delayed Obedience Is Disobedience

I am guilty of not doing what God tells me to do. I go back and forth as to whether or not i heasrd God correctly.
My wishy washy attitude leads me to go back and forth long enough that I talk myself right out even taking a step to do what I think God has told me to do.
I know, it's a problem area for me but I am working on it, confident I am going to push through and it will make me a better witness for the Light of the World.
God Bless

Delayed Obedience Is Disobedience
“Without delay I hurry to obey your commands” (Psalm 119:60 GNT).
The Bible is full of life instructions. They’re called the commands of God. And he expects us to obey his commands right away. Imagine if a parent tells a child to do something and he or she says, “I’ll think about it.” Wouldn’t there be consequences? But we do that to God all the time. God says he wants us to do something, and we say, “I’ll think about it.” We don’t have that kind of authority. It’s no different from a child telling a parent, “I’ll think about it.” But when the Creator of the universe tells us to do something, he expects us to do it — now. Every parent knows that delayed obedience is disobedience. The Bible says, “Without delay I hurry to obey your commands” (Psalm 119:60 GNT).
So what has God told you to do that you haven’t started doing yet? What are you waiting for? God has your best interests at heart. Go ahead and do what he’s told you to do.

This Kind Can Be Cast Out By Prayer

The words below speak to how I feel in most situation.
If only are becoming the way I think and then from my mind to my mouth making any given situation worse. I am my own worse enemy.
If  only I would take this little devotional to heart and do wha t it says, then maybe not only my life but my neighthood, town, county, state and my country would be in a better state than what it is now.
God Bless.
Jesus replied, "This kind can be cast out only by prayer." (NLT) -Mark 9:29
Have you ever looked at someone and thought that person could be better if he or she listened to your advice? Maybe you took a step forward and did give your unsolicited advice. While it may seem benevolent to you, many times it's painful to the other person and you may not even realize it. Have you thought about just "praying" instead of "preaching"?

A Certain Toughness

Love calls for a certain toughness of mind—not looking down on others or hating them, even if we know their sins and flaws.
I love these first few lines of this little devotional. Truth rings from them. Truth on how we are to love others.
If there is something the world needs is truth and love. May the revolution being with us.
God Bless.
A Certain Toughness
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 5:1-5 Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city. - Jeremiah 5:1
Love calls for a certain toughness of mind—not looking down on others or hating them, even if we know their sins and flaws. Jesus is the perfect example of this combination of toughness and gentleness. Jeremiah 6:14 says, “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.” Of all people, Christians should not be gullible. We should know how deeply sin has corrupted the world and how hard it is to restore relationships. The apostle Paul, echoing our verse for today and other passages, says, “There is no one righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10). That includes us—unless we turn to Jesus. Thankfully, God’s grace is greater than all our sin. It is said that the ancient Greek philosopher Diogenes went around Athens, holding up a lantern, peering into people’s faces, looking for an honest man.
Their consciences, it seems, couldn’t meet his gaze, and they looked away. People from every economic and social level cover up dishonesty. No one wants God’s searchlight to uncover their sin. It takes a tough attitude to achieve justice, to sift through lies to find the truth. Getting to know people takes time. Do we even know ourselves? Prayer: O God, you see into our hearts. Give us eyes to see what is really there. May we turn from our sin and honor you. Teach us from Jesus’ example. Amen.

Mature In Love

I hate when someone say's 'I know exactly what you mean,' then goes on and tries to convince you their problem is worse than yours.
With that being said, I am kind of an expert in what strife can do to a person and their life. In my case, between me and my siblings.
Yet, I am trying to take the  high road. I am trying to see them as God sees them so that I may love them with God's love.
And isn't that what it's all about? Seeing love ones and others through God's eye's so that we may love them with a love where the scales of their eyes fall off and they come to know the hope we have with
In us.
But it ain't easy. And thank heavens for little devotional's like these to help us press on towards the mark of the prize.
God Bless.
Mature in Love
by Gloria Copeland
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:19
Strife has many dangers. But one serious consequence to walking in strife is that it will hinder your prayers by robbing you of one of the greatest promises ever given to us. You can find that promise in Matthew 18:19. The devil hates agreement between believers. Agreement opens the windows of heaven to us, and it closes the door on every destructive thing he can do. So he will continually try to disrupt that agreement by causing strife and division in the two places where believers come together in the most powerful way: the family and the church. Until now, you may not have thought of your family as a powerful force for God, but it is if you’re in agreement with one another. So make it your goal to stay out of strife and walk in love at home. Oddly enough, home is often the most difficult place to be loving. I think that’s because we don’t have our guard up when we’re at home.
We’re not worrying about our reputation or trying to impress anyone. At home, nothing will stop you from being selfish—except your commitment to walk in the love of God. But don’t be fooled into thinking it doesn’t matter how you act at home. It matters a great deal. In fact, years ago, the Lord said this to me and I have never forgotten it: If you allow Satan to stop you with strife at your front door, you’ll be no threat to him anywhere else. So make the commitment to keep strife out of your home. Learn to live a lifestyle of agreement with your spouse and your children. See to it that your prayers prevail by being in harmony with the members of your family. The moment you mess up and get in strife, make it right. Say to the other person, “Please forgive me. I love you. I don’t want to be in strife with you.” Then say to the Lord, “Father, I repent of that. I’m not going to be a strife person. I refuse to yield to strife. I choose to walk in love.” You may have to repent quite a bit at first because you’ve probably developed habits that will take awhile to change. But don’t get disgusted with yourself and give up. Just keep acting on the Word, and you’ll continue to mature in love. Speak the Word “I keep strife out of my life by acting on the Word. My prayers are effective and not hindered.” —1 Peter 3:7

Pretending Away The Pain

I have some health problems and I there is no doubt about it, I can feel the pain in my body, especially in different weather conditions.
However, if you ask me if I have any areas in my life I experience pain, I will lie to your face. In fact, the biggest heart break and the area I face the most pain has to do with my immediate family. I don't know where it went wrong or why but the one thing I do know is our parents didn't raise their kids to be hurting each other by words or deeds.
But here we are. Sibling' s in an all out attack with each other and I can't change a thing except for taking the hits they shoot my way and pour my heart out to the Lord in hopes things will get better.
I don't talk about it much but the pain is real. In fact, if I dwell on everything that has gone down with  my siblings, that pain is more overwhelming than the physical.
You see, I can take pain medicine for the physical but only my God can heal the inner and will in the coming day's.
God Bless.
Pretending away the Pain
When I think about how to handle pain, I see myself as a kid in a pool, trying to hold a plastic ball underwater. Eventually the ball slips from my hands and comes flying out of the water. And more than once, it smacks me in the face. What you submerge eventually finds its way to the surface. The deeper it is submerged, the greater the splash. For some people, it becomes natural to keep that bull underwater at whatever cost. Sometimes without even realizing it. I have met people who seem shallow.
They have trouble moving the conversation past weather, food, or football. When you drop down to the deeper things about life, they look at you glassy-eyed as if you’re speaking Icelandic. They truly have no idea what you are talking about. For a while this frustrated me in my interactions with people. In time I have come to have compassion for them. They hurt someone or were hurt. Deeply. And so they disassociate. They live a life of pretend. In The Exquisite Risk, Mark Nepo writes, “We tend to occupy ourselves with worrisome activities and preoccupations in order to divert ourselves from the necessary task of feeling what is ours alone to feel. Rather than feel our loneliness, we will run nakedly to strangers. Rather than feel the brunt of being abandoned, we will construct excuse after excuse to reframe the relationship. Rather than feel our sadness and disappointment, we will replay the event to ourselves and others like a film with no ending. It is this cultivation of neurosis and all its scripts that feeds the drama of our bleeding.” How many of us have failed miserably at something, and rather than own it and grow from it we keep talking about how we didn’t get a break and someone else did and how unfair it was?
You know what? We just keep bleeding. We can’t even begin to heal the wound, because we pretend the wound isn’t there.

Keep Life Interesting

I don't need a little devotional to tell me to make my life interesting, it already is. But it doesn't hurt to stay humble and acknowledge wisdom when it comes your way. And that is exactly what this devotional offers.

Wisdom. Wisdom regarding how to get the most out of this life and we need all the help we can get for this life, if you want to be honest, can suck sometimes.

So, it's time to get the most out of it, and go make our lives more interesting.

God Bless.

Keep Life Interesting

by Joyce Meyer -

Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men. —Colossians 3:23
Life wasn’t meant to be dull and boring. We are not created by God to merely do the same thing over and over until it has no meaning at all. God is creative. If you don’t think so, just look around you. Many of the animals, bugs, plants, birds, trees, and other living things are unique, out of the ordinary, and totally amazing. You were created to be unique, out of the ordinary and totally amazing too. That is why I think it is good to occasionally do something that seems outrageous to people and perhaps even to you. Do something that people won’t expect. It will keep your life interesting and keep other people from thinking they have you tucked away nicely in a little box of their own design.

One great woman who was seventy-six years of age said that her goal was to do at least one outrageous thing per week. Isn’t that a great idea? If you purposefully do something out of the norm on a regular basis, this will keep you from getting stuck in a rut, bored and unenthused about your life. What outrageous thing will you do today? Refuse to be bored and just limp along through life. Be creative and add fun to whatever you do.
