One Day

This is a great way to start the new year out with the mindset that one day we will see Him.

God Bless.

“One Day

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words… 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, Berean Study Bible.

Years ago, I had a dream that I was standing outside in an open field, and as I looked up at the sky, I began to go up in the air. As I went up, I could sense my Father smiling. The only thing on my mind was I finally get to see Him face to face. The only thing I was thinking about was finally I get to see the One who had been with me all this time. Nothing else mattered.

I know you've been in the trenches, trying your hardest not to lose heart. You're trying to hold on until the end, and it's been an unbelievable fight. God knows, and He promises as we wait on Him, looking forward to His return, we will receive renewed strength, and we will mount up with wings as an eagle. Waiting on God causes us to run and not get weary; to walk and not faint (see Isaiah 40:31).

Take a moment each day to think about eternity with the Father. There will be no more tears and no more pain. One day, you will see Him face to face. You will enter into His rest and see His glory. My husband imagines that he will find a tree somewhere and sit down next to it–taking it all in. I imagine myself running straight into the arms of Jesus!

What do you imagine yourself doing? I want to know.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for giving me new strength as I wait on you. Spending eternity with you sometimes seem far away, but I know it's closer than I think. Help me to finish the work you've given me to do on earth. And when life gets hard as it often does, help me to think about all that awaits me in eternity with you. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Quote Of The Day - You Have To

Amen!

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“you have to realize that you don’t have someone else’s life and your never going to. You better start loving the one you got. Embrass the life you have and stop wishing that you could be someone else. Just stop all that and start saying “God here I am. Do what you want to do with me”.”

Lord, Give Me More

Some food for thought as we end the year.

God Bless.

Lord, Give Me More
Today : Lord, Give Me More

TODAY’S VERSE
May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. II Peter 1:2 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Life is a learning curve. The more you try something, the more challenging it becomes. Rock climbing a small wall takes little skill and strength but as you attempt more challenging climbs, your need for skill and strength increases. Likewise in our Christian walk, the longer we live, the more relationships we have with all their complexities. The more responsibilities we have with their ever increasing demands. The more challenging life becomes, the more grace and peace we need. The more we need spiritual knowledge about God. Today ask God for more. Ask Him for more grace. Ask Him for more peace. Ask Him to increase your knowledge and understanding of who He is. Might your prayer be, “More Lord, give me more.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I need more. I need more of Your grace. I need more of Your peace. I need more knowledge of who You are and what Your will is for me. Help me, Lord, as I earnestly seek You. I desire more.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I want more of God’s grace and peace
Picture God giving you peace. You are sitting alone sensing His presence and His peace fills your heart. But as you sit there, God says, “I have more for you.” Feel your unbelief. Sense your hesitancy. But then you say, “Yes, Lord, give me more. Give me more of Your grace and more of Your peace. And He does. Sit and imagine how much peace and grace God can give you. Bask in the anticipation of what that peace and grace would be. When you have thought about it say, “Yes, Lord, I want more of God’s grace and peace.”

Hope OF His People

He is our only hope! He is everything we need.

God Bless.

Bible Name of God : THE HOPE OF HIS PEOPLE

THE HOPE OF HIS PEOPLE

Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD [will be] the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. {hope: Heb. place of repair, or, harbour}

Blessed Lord, Thou who art the Hope of Israel and OUR Hope, — blessed Hope, — our expectation centers in Thee. Our Hope for happiness is in Thee. Thou art the HEART of our anticipation, for we long to see Thee — Thy pierced hands and feet! Thou art our help in every time of trouble, — unfailing help! We lean upon Thee. Thou are our HOME for we can find no place of rest apart from Thee. Thou art our HOST, and we know that Thou wilt be at the door to welcome us. Thou art our HEAVEN, for there could be no Heaven without Thee.

Dear Lord, our Hope is built upon nothing less, than on Thy Blood and Righteousness. Hold us always to this Hope. Amen.

Sanctification

There are just times when I come across something that really speak to me and this little devotional is one of them.

Food for thought.

God Bless.

Sanctification

“But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us…sanctification.” 1 Cor. 1:30

To be “sanctified” is to be “separated” -“set apart.” We could never be sanctified by our own efforts, for we are absolutely helpless save as He becomes all things to us. We are in Christ Jesus and what He is, we are, and what He has, we share. We are nothing. He is everything. May we see ourselves in Christ Jesus. He has set us apart to be His representatives in a lost world. In every act and deed we represent Him.

Lord, today, may the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable unto Thee. Amen.

Recognize

Food for thought!!!

God Bless.

Prayer Quote of the day

Let us recognize this one thing: burden is the secret of prayer. If a person does not feel within him burden to pray for a particular matter he can hardly succeed in prayer. In a prayer meeting some brothers and sisters may mention a great many subjects for prayer. But if you are not touched inwardly, you cannot pray.

Say Thank You

So good...

God Bless.

Say “Thank You”

Adapted from the resource Hearing from God Each Morning - by Joyce Meyer

2 MIN READ

Thanksgiving should be a regular part of our lives. It is something that creates an atmosphere where God can speak; it is a type of prayer; and it should flow out of us in a natural way that is pure and easy. We can take time each evening and thank God for the things He helped us with that day, but we should also continually breathe out simple prayers of thanksgiving every time we see Him working in our lives or blessing us.

For example, "Lord, thank You for a good night's sleep" or, "God, I thank You that my visit to the dentist didn't hurt as much is I thought it might, " or "Father, thank You for helping me make good decisions today," or "Lord, thank You for keeping me encouraged." God is always good to us, always faithful, and always working diligently in our lives to help us in every possible way. We need to respond by letting Him know we appreciate Him and everything He is doing for us. We should thank God silently in our hearts and we should also voice our thankfulness aloud because that helps us stay conscious and aware of God's love, which He demonstrates through His goodness to us.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for helping me throughout my day and please remind me to be continually thankful in every single moment, big or small. My heart overflows with gratitude for Your constant love and faithfulness! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Christian Life

Love this!

God Bless.

The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, ‘O God, forgive me,’ or ‘Help me.’

Remember His Power

Some Food For Thought!

God Bless.

Remember His Power
Today : Remember His Power

TODAY’S VERSE
“They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them.– They did not remember his power.” Psalms 78:42

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What is worry other than forgetting the power and promise of God? The legacy that the Jews, who fled from Egypt, left for their children is that they forgot about the power of God. All the miracles, all the provisions and yet they were guilty of murmuring, complaining and idolatry. They lived as if God did not exist. Jesus came many centuries later and still found the same lack of faith. He was born amongst a people who did not know the all powerful God. So He showed them. He taught them not to worry about their needs because God would provide for them. He taught them to seek Him first and everything they needed would follow. Jesus lived among them for three and a half years. They saw the miracles, they heard His teachings, they experienced His power and yet many of them still not believe. They saw the miracles but like the Jews in the wilderness, “They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them. They did not remember his power.” What about you? When situations come today that force you to take pause, will you fear or have faith? Will you remember all that He has done or will you worry in unbelief? Today remember that the God of all power and provision is the same yesterday, today and will be tomorrow.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You that You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I thank You that Your power continues today as it has in the past. I know that You are able to provide, protect and keep me from falling so I give my life to You. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I will remember God’s power
Mediate on God’s power. Think of creation. Picture God brining the world into being. Think of Moses at the Red Sea. See yourself there with him, see the water part and feel the hard dry ground as you cross to the other side. See Jesus after He has risen. Picture yourself in the crowd as He rises up to Heaven. Think of a miracle that you know has happened in your life time. Remember an answer to prayer. As you think of these things, sense their reality. Let the weight of God’s power sink deep into your consciousness. As you mediate say, “I will remember God’s power.

Christ

This....

God Bless.

Christ

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3

Three times is the word “bless” used in this verse. God is a blessed God and He showers His blessings upon His people. What are these spiritual blessings in Christ? They are spiritual gifts, the blessings of the Gospel -the “good news” form God. They include the eternal purpose and precious promises of God which are to be manifested now, in the future and throughout eternity. As you read your Bible, note them. How many! How strengthening! How encouraging! How satisfying! How enduring! And all in Christ and only in Him.

How we rejoice, Oh Thou Christ of God, that by faith we are in Thee and all of Thy blessings are for us. Help us to appropriate them with thankful hearts. Amen.

The Thief

A little bit of encouragement to uplift you.

God Bless.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Inspiration

This imperfect world hands us many struggles and hardships that leave us feeling empty and broken. Satan is always plotting and chooses these moments of weakness to steal our peace or destroy our happiness. God sent Jesus to be our salvation, hope, and righteous light in the world of darkness. We have faith in God’s desire to reassure us when we struggle and grant us strength in moments of weakness.

Prayer

Dear God, we thank You for Jesus! He is our light in dark struggles and helps us maintain our strength when Satan plots against us. You are our fortress, and we are always safe in the arms of Your steadfast love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

It Is Of No Use

I guess this says it all.

God Bless.

Charles Spurgeon Quote of the Day

It is of no use for any of you to try to be soul-winners if you are not bearing fruit in your own lives. How can you serve the Lord with your lips if you do not serve Him with your lives? How can you preach His gospel with your tongues, when with hands, feet, and heart you are preaching the devil’s gospel, and setting up an antichrist by your practical unholiness?

~Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892)

If We All

Huh, this one way to look at things.

God Bless.

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. (NLT) -James 1:27

If we all got busy loving the unlovable, seeing the brokenhearted, and giving ourselves up for the sake of the least of these, so many of the struggles we see in our world would dissipate.
There is much for us to do in response to our faith. We are to pray without ceasing, worship our Creator, seek out wisdom and knowledge, walk by faith, care for those in need, and share our love with others.

Conditions

For me, I had to think about what was written in the word's below and I can assure you, I wasn't happy with my thought process.

However,  I wanted to encourage you to keep pushing forward.

Go's Bless.

Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever! (NLT) -Psalm 89:1

Upon what conditions do you give your love? Or is love a condition of good behavior? When someone we love does things or makes decisions that we disagree with, that's not the time to use our love as a tool for manipulation. Unconditional love is pure and everlasting regardless of behavior. Is there anyone who doesn't deserve your unconditional love? That's exactly the person you should focus on loving.

For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. (NLT) -Hebrews 13:14

This world is not our home! We are Heaven bound. This truth is fundamental to the Christian faith. It’s a recognition that things are not how they ought to be on this Earth and that we have a hope that lives past the grave. We can be comforted in knowing that the best is yet to come!

Each Of Us

Some food for thought. Stay encouraged.

God Bless.

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

Inspiration

Each of us feels as though the whole world is against us during seasons of life. Perhaps we fail a job interview, make a financial mistake or unintentionally hurt a loved one. When nothing goes the way we planned, we think we have disappointed everyone and are left feeling like a total failure. This imperfect world causes many plans to go awry, but we must remember that the Lord is on our side. He wants nothing but the best for us and is present anytime we make mistakes. Through faith in His steadfast love, we will be victorious!

Prayer

Dear Father, we are thankful for Your steadfast love, and we are confident that Your presence will direct us to victory over mistakes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The High Priest

 Some food for thought.

God Bless.

BY CHRISTIAN CHANNEL

Bible Name of God : The High Priest

The High Priest

“Consider…The High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.” Hebrews 3:1

We are called to consider Jesus Christ as High Priest. We are called “holy brethren.” We cannot be called that “He ever liveth to make intercession for us”. Could we but make it our life habit to, every morning, spend a few moments in contemplation of Him as our High Priest, and take up life’s duties with that picture before us, seeing Him clothed in the garments of the High Priest, in the Holy of Holies, we would be better believers.

May our eyes be upon Thee today, Thou great High Priest. Amen.

We Can Never Praise God Enough

Some food for thought.

Loved this.

God Bless.

When I think about all the times that I hear the name of God in the course of a day, I cringe because maybe one or two of those times are said in prayer or praise. Most of the time when I hear God's name, it is in a curse or swear. God gave us mouths to praise not to curse. How far we have come from the message of this psalm! I wish we had the same respect for God's name as the Jewish people had, they never said it. This is why they were so upset with Jesus when he said that he was "I AM." They would use other terms that meant God such as Lord, Adonai. I hope none of us is guilty of this, but I do know that many of my friends are, so I have a tendency to ask God's forgiveness when I hear someone take his name in vain. The reason for the ban on speaking the name of God was because they believed that using a person's name gave them power over them. Think about your name. If you hear someone call your name, what do you do? I stop and look around to see who wants me. Often, it isn't even me they want, just someone with the same name. It was worse when my children were little. If I heard a child's voice yell "MOM," that child had my immediate attention. I bet you parents did the same! In today's world, parents are advised not to put their child's name on their clothing or backpacks because someone may call them by name and take advantage of them. Calling them by name makes the child think that the person must know them. We need to make sure that we call upon God only when we are praising him, asking for forgiveness, thanking him for his blessings, and asking him for our needs or the needs of others.

Prayer

Lord, your name should never be abused. Help us to nwver take Your name in vain and pray for those who do.

Amen

Even The Son Of Man

Some food for thought.

God Bless.

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. (NLT) -Matthew 20:28

Do you ever go through days that seem like something is missing? We work so hard to accomplish goals in our life so that we can provide a better life for ourselves and our families. But this can also focus our attention on the "things" we have and more importantly don't have. Where we direct our focus can lead us to that feeling of void. Instead of focusing on ourselves, direct your focus on someone in need. You may not see the immediate impact on your goals but in some way and at some time, God will honor your actions.

The God Of The Whole Earth

He most certainly is. Be encouraged.

Bible Name of God : THE GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH

THE GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH

Isai 54:5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Is He not the Creator of the whole earth, of the stars of the heaven, and of all things? Could we live and breathe and have our being without Him? Is He not the Ruler of the whole earth and did He not make all the laws {physical and metaphysical} which we are forced to obey or suffer the consequences of their violation? Yes, there is but one God for Jew and Gentile. How grateful we should be that He has given to us His Word wherein He has Revealed Himself as a God of Love Who paid the penalty of our sins and died that we might live!

Our gracious God, keep us under the shadow of Thy wings this day. Amen.

No Anxiety

The world is full of anxiety. People have very little hope. We are the hope. We know the solution. May we reintroduce the Hope that is willing to save the world.

God Bless.

No Anxiety
Today : No Anxiety

TODAY’S VERSE
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Anxiety can ruin a day. Most of our anxiety centers around something terrible we think will happen. Of course, this would make anyone anxious; but the truth is that most of the time the terrible things we think will happen, don’t! That is the dilemma. We believe so many lies. No wonder Jesus said that the truth would set us free. So what is our definition of terrible? Basically, it is something that we think will be more than we could ever endure. It is a frightful dread. It is beyond human endurance, worst than anything we can imagine. According to William Backus in his book, “Telling Yourself the Truth,” there are four areas of anxiety. They are: Fear of losing someone’s love. Fear of making someone angry or upset. Fear of public embarrassment. Fear of pain and death. Now Jesus comes along and says, “Don’t let your heart be troubled.” Paul writes, “Do not be anxious about ANYTHING!” Backus suggests that you can minimize your fears until you see them for what they are, lies, and do not be anxious. So, today realize that you have a choice and choose not to be anxious. Today believe the truth that you can trust God and choose not to be anxious. Today when anxiety comes, know that the terrible dread that it conjures up is a lie and follow Paul’s instruction, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I give You my anxious heart. Forgive me for believing so many lies. Help me change my core beliefs and bring them in line with Your word. Today I choose faith and choose to bring all my anxieties to You.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I choose not to be anxious but instead will trust God
In your mind, go to a quiet peaceful place. As you are there picture the presence of God in that place. Sense His love for you. Leave that place and begin to visualize yourself walking throughout your day, taking God’s peace with you. See anxiety come to you and instead of being anxious you say, “I choose not to be anxious!” and then you give your anxiety to God. As you trust Him, watch His peace swallow up your anxiety and leave you feeling calm and safe. Picture yourself doing this over and over throughout the day. Each time you feel the anxiety getting weaker and His peace getting stronger. Finish the day by saying, “I choose not to be anxious but instead will trust God.”

Then Keep

I love this little devotional.  Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. (NLT) -Psalms 34:13

Controlling our tongue is one of the hardest things to do! We have the power to speak life or create death around us through our words. When we feel hurt, pain, anger, and unrest well up in our bodies it’s important that we pause to give space for us to process these feelings before letting words come out of our mouths. Learn to calm your body, mind, and you can better control your tongue.

Let's Not Get Tired

Thought provoking and I just wanted to pass this little devotional along to whom may need it.

God Bless.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (NLT) -Galatians 6:9

Some days are simply overwhelming and cause us to want to give up. God desires us to be persistent in our good work. Maybe you’re trying to mend a broken relationship with a family member and some days are very tough. Sometimes work can be hectic and unforgiving. And sometimes it’s a dream of yours to work on something that you’re passionate about and gifted in. There are peaks and valleys for all of these journeys, but remember to be strong, hopeful, and believe in your heavenly father.

Doubt

I hate doubt. I struggle with doubt. So if I can get encouragement in the area by any means the I'm doing it.

May you find encouragement as well.

God Bless.

Introduction

Doubt is often the result of lost hope that a brighter day is on the horizon. You’ve seen so many bad days that it’s hard to hope for better. Maybe you are experiencing hardship or suffering, and you wonder how God could be concerned about you and let it all happen. Today’s reading is a lament of someone experiencing grave hardship. He pours out to God his anguish and turmoil that have driven him into depression. But while lamenting, something happens that calms his doubts and fears and raises hope within him. He begins to reflect on what God has done and that drives his doubts away.

Pray

God, I am struggling to have hope that you are working in my favor. Teach me to trust your love for me and your faithfulness, even when my circumstances suggest otherwise.

Read

The speaker in today’s Scripture reading gains a new perspective on his suffering when he thinks on God’s faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:17-24

Reflect

What does the speaker remember? He calls to mind that the love of God is unceasing, his kindness is dependable, and “the Lord can always be trusted to show mercy each morning” (v. 23 CEV). Despite all the things that made him feel hopeless, despaired, and insecure about his future, this moment of reflection centers him—it brings him back to truths about God that give him confidence that better things are ahead.

Respond

Let John Newton’s 1779 hymn “Amazing Grace” fill your heart with hope that God is faithful and will see you through your hardships. Let it relinquish your doubts and build your confidence in God who will lead you all the way.

Quote Of The Day - Today Lord

Amen! May we meditate on the word's written below.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“Today Lord I am going to do my best with Your help and for Your glory. I realize that there are many different people in the world with a variety of opinions and expectations. I will concentrate on being a God-pleaser and not a self-pleaser or man-pleaser. The rest I leave in Your hands lord. Grant me favor with You and with men and continue transforming me into the image of Your dear Son. Thank You Lord.”

Earnest Intercession

Love this.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Charles Spurgeon Quote of the Day

Earnest intercession will be sure to bring love with it. I do not believe you can hate a man for whom you habitually pray. If you dislike any brother Christian, pray for him doubly, not only for his sake, but for your own, that you may be cured of prejudice and saved from all unkind feeling.

I Prayed

Thought provoking but I also needed the words written below to help me to continue the good fight of faith.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

"I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears." (Psalm 34:4)

Devotional

The exhaustive list of recognized anxiety disorders is a poignant expression of how many different ways people try to cope with fear, and fail miserably at it. Anxiety is caused when people try to cope with the lack of control over circumstances which stems from sins inflicted by others, by their own doing, and or as a result of medical issues. God expects us to surrender all of our fears to Him and trust Him to work for our good in every situation. This requires living a life of total surrender obedience to His Word and making lifestyle changes in order to become healthy in body and mind.

It's Easy

Isn't this the truth.

God Bless.

It’s easy to become conformed to this world. We are desensitized to sinful lifestyles consistently through entertainment outlets and social media on a daily basis. When we accept Christ, we are to surrender our spirits to the Lord. We seek to align our lives according to His will and not the desire of the world around us. Conforming to the world brings turmoil and misery, committing our spirit to the Lord results in peace and happiness.

Abide In Me

This is a good one! Be encouraged!

God Bless.

“Abide in Me

Abide in Me, and I in you... John 15:4

You would think that when God tells us to abide and remain in Him, this would be an easy thing to do, but it actually can prove quite challenging. Everything tries to pull us up and out of our seat. Things come from all directions to get us out of faith, out of love, out of the Spirit, and out of our place of rest in Him.

The husband leaves you and the kids, and the Lord says, abide in Me. You lose your job without severance pay, and the Lord says, abide in Me. Your child gets arrested, and the Lord says, abide in Me. The thing is, you're not there alone. The Lord is with you. And you're not sitting idle, twiddling your thumbs. You are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, seated with Him, and from that place, you pray, intercede, and petition the Lord. In that place, He answers you. Your warfare is to resist the pull to move from that place of remaining, abiding and resting in Him.

Nothing can pluck us out of God's hands. Nothing and no one. We would have to decide to move. Let's receive every bit of Holy Spirit's help, my sister, to stay seated in Christ. Let's receive and keep receiving all of His strength and all of His might to remain in our trust in Him when everything is trying to pull us out. Stay in faith. Stay in love. Stay in the Spirit. Stay in peace. Stay the course. You can do all things through Him who strengthens you, including abiding in Him.

Prayer: Father, I hear you speaking to me, and I receive your instructions to stay and remain in you. I receive your help to not move out of my seat. Help me stay in the Spirit, in your love, in your peace, in your will, on your course for my life. Be glorified in me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

My Maker

Encouragement warning written in the word's below.

God Bless.

MY MAKER

For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the “Maker”, the “Redeemer” and the “Husband” of the Church. Hosea 2:19 says, “And I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving-kindness and in mercies”. What marvels are wrought in connection with the generation of sinful man! How little we emphasize these great truths! He loves us, He cares for us. What joy awaits us when He comes and takes us to the mansion which He has prepared for us.

We look to Thee, our Maker and our Husband, and ask Thy help that we may honor Thee by lip AND life. Amen.

The Path

Food for thought.

God Bless.

The Path to True Success

Adapted from the resource Wake Up to the Word - by Joyce Meyer

Our ultimate success and value in life is not found in climbing what the world calls the ladder of success. Our success is not in a job promotion, a bigger house, a better-looking car, or elite social circles.

True success is knowing God and the power of His resurrection. It’s knowing that He loves you unconditionally and that you are made acceptable in Jesus, the beloved Son of God, who died for you, to pay for your sins.

Real success is allowing God to help you be the best you can be, but never having to be better than someone else to prove that you are valuable.

Prayer of the Day: Lord Jesus, I want to know You more and the power of Your resurrection! Thank You for loving me unconditionally. In Your name I pray, amen.

The God Who Is There

Interesting little devotional below.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

The God Who Is There
Today : The God Who Is There

TODAY’S VERSE
“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 4:29 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever sought after God? There are so many different things we seek after every day, some good, some not so good. But the one thing that will make all the difference in the world is seeking after God. God can meet the longing of your heart. He can satisfy your every need. The secret is seeking God with all your heart and soul. It cannot be a half hearted search, but rather a desperate longing, a deep commitment to know and love God. It is nothing less than a consecration of your life, passions and purpose. When you seek God in this way you will find Him. Start today. Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to make you aware of His presence. Spend time with Him. Meditate on His word and come to Him in prayer. When you do, you will find out that the Psalmist was right when he wrote, “you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.”.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I want to know You better. I need You and want to know You with all my heart and soul. I come today to seek an intimate relationship with You and ask that You will help me. Show me the way, guide me to Yourself. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S VISUALIZATION & MEDITATION
I seek to know God better
Our God is, “The God who is there.” He is tangible, weighty and has a presence. He promises if we seek Him, He will be found. Today, meditate on yourself looking for God like you would a friend. Picture yourself in a beautiful garden. You know Jesus is there, so you call for Him. You are calling out, “Jesus, I am looking for you.” In your minds eye, walk around the garden calling out for Him. You are not worried for you know He is there. It is just a matter of time before you and He meet. Sure enough as you turn a corner, there He is. He turns around and is so happy to see you. You greet each other, like long lost friends. Rejoice in the feeling of His love. Sense His acceptance and the fact that He is there.

I Trust In God

I found this little devotional to be encouraging and I wanted to share the wealth.

I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? (NLT) -Psalm 56:11

Trusting in God puts your heart at ease because you no longer have to worry. Placing your faith in Him relieves all doubt and uncertainty about the future. Do not be afraid of what other people may do. The effects of their actions are temporary in comparison to spending eternity with God.

Give Away Your Hope

This is some good food for thought.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Give Away Your Hope
Today : Give Away Your Hope

TODAY’S VERSE
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” I Peter 3:15 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Hope is a precious commodity. You can live without a lot of things but it is hard to live this life without hope. Solomon wrote, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick!” How true that is. The opposite is true too. Hope makes the heart peaceful. Hope, in the resurrection power of Christ, enables us to overcome obstacles that hinder us. With hope in God’s love and faithfulness, we can look beyond adversity. But with hope, comes responsibility. It would be wrong to have a warehouse full of food and not let those that are starving have some. Likewise to have hope and not show others how to have the same hope, would be unconscionable. For that reason Peter tells us to, “be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” So where is your hope today? Is it in the living God? Are you feeling secure even when the pressure is on? If so, ask God to bring people to you that will ask about your hope. And when He does, ask God to help you present to them the reason you have hope in Christ.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for the hope that I find in You. You are my hope and I want to tell others about You. Give me the courage and strength to give an answer to every person that asks me where my hope comes from.
AMEN

TODAY’S VISUALIZATION & MEDITATION
Christ gives me hope
Meditate on what it feels like to have hope. Let comfort and joy swell up in your heart. Sense your body relax as the thought of hope fills your being. In this hopeful state, picture yourself helping others become hopeful. See their faces turn from despair to peace and joy. Visualize one after another, people all needing hope being touched by your encouragement and love. Sense the joy that you have as God empowers you to share with others the reason that you are so hopeful.

Cast

A great little devotional below.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

[Cast] all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

Psalm 56:3 says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Notice: it does not say, “I never struggle with fear.” Fear strikes, and the battle begins. So the Bible does not assume that true believers will have no anxieties. Instead, the Bible tells us how to fight when they strike.

For example, 1 Peter 5:7 says, “[Cast] all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” It does not say, you will never feel any anxieties. It says, when you have them, cast them on God. When the mud splatters your windshield and you temporarily lose sight of the road and start to swerve in anxiety, turn on your wipers and squirt your windshield washer.

So my response to the person who has to deal with feelings of anxiety every day is to say: that’s more or less normal. At least it is for me, ever since my teenage years. The issue is: How do we fight them?

The answer to that question is: we fight anxieties by fighting against unbelief and fighting for faith in future grace. And the way you fight this “good fight” (1 Timothy 6:12; 2 Timothy 4:7) is by meditating on God’s assurances of future grace and by asking for the help of his Spirit.

The windshield wipers are the promises of God that clear away the mud of unbelief, and the windshield washer fluid is the help of the Holy Spirit. The battle to be freed from sin — including the sin of anxiety — is fought “by the Spirit and belief in the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:13).

The work of the Spirit and the word of truth. These are the great faith-builders. Without the softening work of the Holy Spirit, the wipers of the word just scrape over the blinding clumps of unbelief on the windshield.

Both are necessary: the Spirit and the word. We read the promises of God and we pray for the help of his Spirit. And as the windshield clears so that we can see the welfare that God plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11), our faith grows stronger and the swerving of anxiety straightens out.

An Offering

Love this little devotional.

God Bless.

Bible Name of God : An Offering

An Offering

“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering.” Ephesians. 5:2

Hear Him speaking that last night, “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” What an offering for those disciples who deserted Him that wery night! He became sin for us. He said, concerning the offering of His life, “I have power to lay it down and power to take it up.” No man could take His life without His consent, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God.

Lord Jesus, we recognize Thy offering in our behalf. Help us to walk in love as Thou hast also loved us, and may our fellowship with Thee be sweet this day. Amen.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“When you try to understand God’s purpose for your spirit so you can have the passion He desires for you, it requires a certain amount of trust and belief. Trust that God is in control, and believe that He will give you what you need to achieve and succeed! If you struggle in this area, here are some verses to look up and some of God’s promises to think about. 1. God will never abandon you. (See Hebrews 13:5.) 2. God wants the best for you. (See Jeremiah 29:11.) 3. God wants the best from you and He will do everything He can to help. (See John 14:26.)”

Be encouraged and live!

God Bless.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (NLT) -1 Peter 5:8

Our modern world struggles with the idea of a devil but the Bible makes it clear that a way between good and evil is raging all around us. There is a devil and he has an army that is working to gain our allegiance. Watch out for him. Don’t let him devour you. Follow God’s way and you will stay safe from the enemy.

Tell God thank you. You may not understand the process of why you had to go through what you had to go through but when God delivers you … JUST SAY THANK YOU. He can give you so much more than anything you can acquire here on earth. As a matter of fact, He already has. He has given you eternal life.

A Prayer

Some food for thought.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

A Prayer for a Generous Heart

What’s your most prized possession? There’s nothing wrong with having things, or with enjoying them. The problem comes when our things have us.

Thankfully, God modeled a different way to live when He sacrificed His greatest treasure for us. His generosity is sacrificial and counter-cultural.

When we give like God does, and we honor Him with that giving, it draws us closer to Him. It causes us to stop looking at ourselves, and start looking out for others. The more we draw near to God, the more our priorities and values start to reflect His.

So, how do you live generously? It starts with asking God to give you a generous mindset. If you’re not sure how to do that, try praying this prayer.

God,

Thank You for showing me what generosity looks like. I confess that at times it’s easy for me to focus on things that don’t matter. But today, I surrender to Your will, trusting in You completely. Change the way I think, and give me a generous heart. Make me aware of the resources I have, and how I can use them to serve others. Help me to live a life that blesses others just as You have richly blessed me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. (NLT) -Colossians 3:12

What does it look like to be God’s holy people? It requires that we “clothe ourselves” with traits that reflect God’s character. We are to be people who show mercy, are kind, humble, gentle and patient.

The First

Some food for thought.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

The First Begotten of the Dead

“Jesus Christ, who is…the First Begotten of the dead.” Revelation 1:5

Jesus Christ raised Lazarus from the dead, but He Himself came forth from the grave by His own power. Lazarus died again, but Jesus Christ “ever liveth to make intercession for us.” He was the first-born of the dead. He is the forerunner of the saints who shall also be raised from the dead. “But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first-fruits of them that slept.” “We know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is.” “Who shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned life unto His glorious body.”

Our Lord, we look and long for Thy coming in Thy glorified body that we may be with Thee and like Thee. Amen.

Act Of Kindness

Love this...

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Today's Quotation:

The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention.

Kahlil Gibran

Today's Meditation:

I generally have the best of intentions for others in life, but sometimes fail to act upon them when the need arises. Sometimes I find myself missing opportunities to help others because my focus is elsewhere. Sometimes I find myself too occupied with other things to concern myself with others... even for a short while. Then there are those times when I am aware, but choose to pass the opportunity by. Kahlil is talking about these times.

How many times have I seen someone pulled over on the side of the road and I continued past because I felt I could not afford to spend the time offering assistance? Perhaps I do not possess the knowledge or ability to offer any help that would fix their problem, however, the simple act of me stopping and asking is something that does make a difference. It shows a level of caring, compassion, and concern in my fellow man that goes on to strengthen the beautiful bonds that we all share.

I may intend to help others; I may wish for goodness and happiness in their lives; I may even spend time reflecting about how I can be a better person. But it is through putting my kindness into action, even on the smallest of levels, that I serve to make a difference in the lives of others and lay bare my true potential.

Be aware of the needs of others. Chances are that there are people around you right now that are in need of your help and kindness. Perhaps a door needs opening; maybe a heart needs healing; maybe tears need a shoulder to fall upon; maybe that lonely face simply needs an assuring smile to let them know they matter. If we keep our eyes open and help in the littlest of ways, person by person, we will brighten the entire world around us.

Today's Challenge: Carry out some small acts of kindness throughout the day.

Questions to consider:

How do you tend to feel when someone else offers you help in a sincere, caring way?

How many chances will you have to help someone else today, even in very small ways?

What are some specific ways you might be able to offer help to others?

For further thought:

The more often he feels without acting, the less he will be able ever to act, and, in the long run, the less he will be able to feel.

But The Holy Spirit

Some good advice written in the word's below.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  There is no law against these things! (NLT) -Galatians 5:22-23

Ever wonder if someone is a Christian? Take a look at their life. Do they express joy? Do they show love towards everyone? Do they display uncommon gentleness? The above qualities are inherent to the Holy Spirit. While these characteristics may not always be evident, it becomes a reflection of how spending time with God will produce these uncommon characteristics. What about you? Have you been spending time with the Holy Spirit to produce this kind of fruit in your life?

Kind Words

There is so much truth to this little devotional.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Kind words are like honey - sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. (NLT) -Proverbs 16:24

Do you know someone in your life that could use honest and truly kind words? Words have the power to build someone up. You have the power to make a real difference. People carry the words they've heard spoken to them throughout their lives. These words can build them up positively or tear them down. One thing is true, your words carry power. Be generous with your honey.

Rest

I love this. I was encouraged even living through this mess we call world.

May you be encouraged as well.

God Bless.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Inspiration

It’s scary to watch evil prosper in the world today. Often, we watch world events and feel overwhelmed and powerless because there is nothing we can do. There is something we can do. We can pray to our Father and find rest and comfort in the knowledge that all things occur as part of His plan. He is actively abolishing evil in the world. Let us rest our worried minds in the comfort of His mighty hands.

Prayer

Dear Father, we feel powerless against the evil in the world today. Help us rest in the comfort of Your loving arms. We have faith in Your plan. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Thank You, Father

I loved this prayer. I so want to relate to this prayer.

I want to be thankful in every given situation. Surely, I am not the only one.

Find wisdom and encouragement in the words written below.

God Bless.

Thank You, Father.

The struggle is real, but so are the victories. Thank You for the crushing. Thank You for the oil. It is the anointing that breaks the yoke and we are holding steadfast together, united as one, knowing the necessity of the crushing, knowing the necessity of the oil and the anointing. Continue purifying us and making us more like You. Though the enemy tries to consume, he is never victorious because the battle is already won. He is already defeated. We praise You! Your Spirit reigns! You have settled in our hearts and homes. Our undefeated champion.

Thank You Father. Thank You that we can speak, we can prophecy, we can declare our destiny in You. We declare that the rest of this week will be filled with might and glory. We declare that we will continue to see the demonstration of God’s love and Spirit in our lives. We declare that we will receive the desires of our heart by faith. Thank You for Your promises. Thank You for going before us and always reaching back to make sure we are good. Thank You for Your great and wondrous love.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord Christ

Amen! Love this little devotional. Be encouraged.

God Bless.

Bible Name of God : The Lord Christ

The Lord Christ

“Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:24

We are servants of the Lord Christ. We may never receive what we think we should, or what we hope for, in this world, but we are sure of a proper compensation when God’s books are opened, and He will render to every man according to his deeds. Earthly masters will disappoint us; our Heavenly Master -never! No greater privilege was ever accorded to men than that of serving the Lord Christ. Let us seek to keep this in mind day by day. We are heirs to a wonderful inheritance and our portion will be assigned to us. What a joy to be a servant to such a Master!

Lord Christ, may our eyes be upon Thee as we take up the tasks of the day and joyfully serve Thee. Amen.

Attitude Adjustment

Amen! Praising our Lord, and Savior with a grateful heart is crucial in this day and age.

Be encouraged.

God Bless.

"Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands".(Psalm 112:1)

Devotional

The Psalmist writes about the blessed state of the righteous.Praising the Lord can never be exhausted. He deserves to be praised and worthy to be feared not being fearful but respectful of Him.Praise and worship always revives in us the right attitude. It keeps us on the right track. Notice the Psalmist in this verse. He begins with praise, acknowledges fearing the Lord and ends in taking "great delight" in God's commands. His commands lead to life they are the road map to eternal life.Take a quiet moment today to praise the Lord, and acknowledge the love of God through His commands.

Through This Journey

I found this little prayer/devotional very encouraging and it is my hope you will as well and take it to heart.

You are not going through this journey called life alone. So whether you feel like you are sailing on smooth waters or whether you feel like you are going through a storm, God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will make a way for you. You are shielded and protected in and with Him in Jesus name

 … Amen.

And We Know

Amen and encouragement to keep going in the word's written below.

Stay encouraged.

God Bless.

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Inspiration

The world is an imperfect place filled with evil and confusion. Sometimes, we feel lost trying to figure out who we are and what our purpose is. We belong to God! We are His children, His perfect creation. Our purpose is to love each other as He loves us and continue to share the hope we have in Christ with this broken world.

Prayer

Dear Father, we belong to You. Thank you for loving us conditionally as we work to make sure all the lost are able to find hope in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Quote Of The Day - First

Amen! May this resonate deep within us.

God Bless.

Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer

“First we must understand that when God calls us to do something, we should not say that we cannot do it. If God says we can, then we can! So often we speak out of our insecurities, or we verbalize what others have previously said about us, or what the devil has told us.”

And When I Saw Him

Wisdom.

God Bless.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last

Inspiration

Fear is a natural emotion. We become frightened of the weather, the dark or perhaps our recent financial status. The list of items or factors we humans fear is endless. If we aren’t careful, our concerns begin to control our behavior. Fear makes us feel trapped until we fall at the feet of our Lord and Savior. When we ask for His help in our weakest moments, He will lift us up and comfort our uneasiness.

Prayer

Dear Father, we are humbled by Your unconditional love for us. Thank you for Your presence when the world frightens us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Light Of Men

I felt this was such a powerful little devotional to remind us not to give up.

God Bless.

THE LIGHT OF MEN

John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

God Said, “Let there be light; and there was light.” (Gn 1:3) All life proceeds from our Lord, and all light, also. The Word is a life and light-giving Word — “The Light of the world is Jesus!” Visualize the whole world in the darkness of sin, men groping blindly, restless and hopeless. We have the Light of Life. We see Him face to face. We bask in the sunshine of His glory. Pity the blind! Carry the Light of the glorious Gospel to their darkened souls. Tell them to arise and shine for the Light is come and the glory of the Lord will shine upon them.

Help us, Lord, to walk in the Light as we have fellowship -WITH- Thee and with one another. Amen.

Meditate On His Love

Wisdom and encouragement written below.

Stay encouraged.

God Bless.

Meditate On His Love
Today : Meditate On His Love

TODAY’S VERSE
“O God, we meditate on your unfailing love as we worship in your Temple.” Psalms 48:9 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
There are many things that vie for our attention. Multiple situations face us at any given moment. Our minds move from issue to issue at blinding speeds. Feeling, observing, assessing and predicting is often done in seconds as we multitask our way through the day. This is why it is so important to renew our mind every day. We need to make a conscious effort to slow down and meditate on God’s unfailing love. Paul knew this. He writes, “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.” But how, how did he renew his mind? He continues, “We don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.” This “gaze” or focus is what the Psalmist refers to as meditating. It is putting deliberate focused attention on a particular issue. It is the personal consideration of what the thoughts mean and their personal application that make meditating so enriching. Today, don’t just read God’s word; stop and meditate on it and let it effect you in deep and meaningful ways.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I am so thankful for Your love. You are so real, so relevant to my life. Help me to stop all the madness and slow down long enough to mediate on who You are. Today, as I spend time with You, renew my mind I pray. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I renew my mind by meditating on God’s love for me
The Psalmist said that He meditated on God’s love as he worshipped in the temple. Why not now, just bow your head and take a moment to tell God how much you love Him. Thank Him for His love. Stop and think of all that He has done for you. Think of His forgiveness and grace in your life. Let your mind be renewed as you meditate on His love for you.
