Pray And Let God Have His Way

Yeah, I don't let God have His way in my life or anything in between. I love this little devotional and I love how the words jump off the page at me. I love how the devotional puts the words in a way that even a stubborn person like me can get it and put it into practice.

I see my faults, and more than anything I want to change, and be free of fear of what might be and failure and just let loose and become who I am and allow God to have His way to change anything and all He see's as an obsticle for the plan He has or my life.

God Bless.

Welcome!

Today: Pray, and let God have His way!

Passage: Acts 12 (NIV)
Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. 2 Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. (Acts 12, NIV)

Peter was in prison because the ruler of the land found that it pleased the people when he got James the apostle killed
John the baptist was killed because the Herod at that time wanted to please his wife. Much persecution is going on in many places now, for various reasons
Peter was in prison, and should have been killed. But the church was earnestly praying in one accoed. God delivered Peter miraculously
Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant[a] prayer was offered to God for him by the church. (v 5)
Sometimes we wonder why James was killed and Peter was spared When certain things happen to certain people, we also may think like that
But then, God knows what is best. Later on, Peter also went the way of James. But Herod’s end was terrible
22 And the people kept shouting, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” 23 Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.
24 But the word of God grew and multiplied. (Acts 12, NIV)

The other day, someone was mentioning about how people speak when things happen to others. When we go through “our own”, we won’t do that

We pray rarely, and most of the prayer is about ourselves

Even as we,the church is sleeping, satan is working 24/7

This is not the time to judge or wish the bad for others. What we wish for others can happen to us. So, it is better not to wish bad for anybody else

It is time to think of ourselves as part of the body-the family of Christ
None of us can stand on our own. We need God. We need the children of God
It is time for people to come together; families should get together; churches should come together in unity and pray for the land and for the leaders

God bless your day
BG

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help us to think of ourselves as pasrt of the whole. Help us to see ourselves as you see us, as part of your family. We pray for the persecuted,
and for those who persecute. Your name be glorified. Amen

“Had we known the power of prayer, we would have prayed much more”
