This little quote is good advice. Sometimes with people, you need to let go and let God.
There is a few people in my life that I just can't seem to make happy with anything I do or say. And when I think about it, they are rarely happy with themselves.
In any case, we can't control others and how they behave, nor should we want to. Only the Holy Spirit can and it is our job to get out of His way.
