Be On Guard. Stand Firm In The Faith

New Year and the coming of Jesus is getting closer and with that being said, this little devotional could be just what we need to make it for what lies ahead.
But my prayer is come Lord Jesus come but if You don't see fit to come this year, may You find me faithful.
God Bless.

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. (NLT) -1 Corinthians 16:13
As we anxiously await Christ's return we must be courageously strong. A firm, steady strength is needed to overcome obstacles. This strength is rooted in faith in God. The strength of God has the power to battle any fear. Stay strong in your faith when all else seems to fade.

Gratitude

My New Year's resolution right here.

More gratitude and less complacent, envy, and all those other yucky sins I don't like to think about dealing with.

I am going to be more than a conqueror this year! I am aiming for the prize of the high calling!

God Bless.

Gratitude

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise...unto our God
- Psalm 147:7

In this verse we see at least three crucial elements to godly gratitude.

First, thanksgiving above all involves communication with God. Twice the directive is given: "sing to the Lord" and "sing to God." We too often talk about God without communing with God from our hearts. The God who gives us richly all things to enjoy, the God from whom every good gift comes, wants to see our appropriate response of gratitude directed to him as the Giver.

Second, biblical thanksgiving is worship. There is a clear parallel in this verse between singing "with thanksgiving" and singing with "praise". Thanksgiving is praising God; it is acknowledging him as the source of all blessing. And so true thanksgiving is only found where people are worshiping the one, true God. Everything else is just idolatry.

And finally, biblical thanksgiving eventually also becomes public exhortation. Because the one true God is worthy of worship and thanksgiving from all his Creation, proper thanksgiving is not only worship directed to God, but it is also an exhortation for every one else to join you. True thanksgiving is not only worship, it is evangelism. It is the public declaration of the worthiness of God to receive worship.

May you be engaged in this godly gratitude today. Expressing to God your thanksgiving, worshiping God because he deserves it, and exhorting others to join you.

Find Your Perfect Fit

Ever feel like you don't belong? Than may you find some splice in this little devotional.

Never loose your hope and continue to build your faith in in Him and Him alone. For He is all we need.

God Bless.

Find Your Perfect Fit

by Joyce Meyer

[Urged on] by faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go.
—Hebrews 11:8

If you are doing nothing with your life because you are not sure what to do, then I recommend that you pray and begin trying some things. It won’t take long before you will feel comfortable with something. It will be a perfect fit for you. Think of it this way: When you go out to buy a new outfit, you probably try on several things until you find what fits right, is comfortable, and looks good on you.
Why not try the same thing with discovering your destiny? Obviously there are some things you cannot just “try”—such as being an astronaut or the president of the United States—but one thing is for sure: You cannot drive a parked car. Get your life out of “park,” and get moving in some direction. I don’t suggest going deep in debt to find out if you should own a business, but you could begin in some small way, and, if it works, take it to the next level. As we take steps of faith, our destinies unfold. A confident woman is not afraid to make mistakes, and if she does, she recovers and presses on.
Lord, I want to be moving in the right direction with my life. I trust You to guide my steps as You did Abraham. Amen.

All The Promises Of God Fine Their Yes

Such a great little devotional that needs to  be read by one and all.
So may you find all of His promises to be your yes's!
God Bless.
All the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Prayer is the place where the past and future are linked repeatedly in our lives. I mention this here because Paul links prayer with God’s Yes in this verse in a striking way. In 2 Corinthians 1:20, he says (with choppy Greek that comes through in choppy English), “That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.”
Let’s try to smooth that out. Here’s what he is saying: “Therefore, because of Christ, we say Amen to God in our prayers to show that God gets the glory for the future grace we are counting on.” If you’ve ever wondered why Christians say Amen at the end of our prayers and where that custom comes from, here’s the answer. Amen is a word taken straight over into Greek from Hebrew without any translation, just like it has come into English and most other languages without any translation. In Hebrew, it was a very strong affirmation (see Numbers 5:22; Nehemiah 5:13; 8:6) — a formal, solemn, earnest “I agree,” or “I affirm what you just said,” or “This is true.” Most simply, “Amen” means a very earnest Yes in the context of addressing God. Now notice the connection between the two halves of 2 Corinthians 1:20. The first half says, “All the promises of God find their Yes in him.”

The second half says, “That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” When you realize that “Amen” and “Yes” mean the same thing, here’s what the verse says: In Jesus Christ, God says his Yes to us through his promises; and in Christ we say our Yes to God through prayer.

Time To Be A Blessing

It's that time of year and remember the reason for the season and it's not about us but to be a blessing not only to the people around us but also to the Almighty Himself.
God Bless.

Time to Be a Blessing
What fills your time during the holidays? Baking Christmas cookies, getting ready for Advent, shopping for gifts, school activities for the kids—and the list goes on. In all of the activities surrounding Christmas, don’t forget about your ability to help someone else.  When Jesus was here on earth, He talked about being a servant, but what did He mean? And how does it apply to us today? When He talked about being a servant, He was describing someone who lives to benefit others and someone who sacrifices for another person’s joy.  Something powerful happens when you serve others—when you don’t think of yourself, but you put the needs of someone else before your own.

You’ll find joy and deep satisfaction in your life. Jesus set the greatest example of a perfect servant…His whole life on earth was about serving others.  We see one example of Jesus serving others in John 13 when He washed the disciples' feet. In those days, men wore sandals, and the roads were not paved; they were plain, old dirt. By the time a day ended, the disciples' feet were really dirty, and Jesus offered to wash them. He chose this very practical task to teach His disciples a great lesson about serving one another. Serving others is not typically viewed as a high, or esteemed position, and yet Jesus said it is the highest of all. That’s because when we help others, the One we are actually serving is Christ. That is one of the purposes of being a servant—to show others the love of God that He has shown us so that they too can share in it—and then pass it on. Serving is simply helping. It is doing things for others. Here are some examples of practical ways to serve others… Visit someone who is alone during the holidays Take someone out for lunch Surprise a family you know by making them dinner and bringing it to their home If someone asks you for a favor…go above and beyond Let someone go before you in line at the grocery store Volunteer to babysit for a single mom or dad so they can do something they enjoy Bake Christmas cookies for your neighbor  Listen to a friend who needs to talk You can make a decision to look for ways to help others, not just during the holiday season, but each and every day. And when you do, you’re not only going to improve their lives, you’re going to boost your own. And you will experience true joy and satisfaction.  Serving God by Serving Others Find out how you can have a servant’s heart.
Read More  FROM JOYCE MEYER: “You can make any day better when you take your focus off of self and begin looking for ways to help and serve others.”
JUMP IN… Galatians 5:13 says, we should use the freedom Christ has given us to “serve one another in love.” What can you do to serve someone this week and show them God’s love? Look over the list of practical ways to serve others and pick one you can do— or think of your own—and then go for it!

Gold, Frankincense, And Myrrh

Amen to this little devotional.
Let it be so....
God Bless
When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. (Matthew 2:10–11)
God is not served by human hands as though he needed anything (Acts 17:25). The gifts of the magi are not given by way of 4assistance or need-meeting. It would dishonor a monarch if foreign visitors came with royal care-packages. Nor are these gifts meant to be bribes. Deuteronomy 10:17 says that God takes no bribe. Well, what then do they mean? How are they worship? The gifts are intensifiers of desire for Christ himself in much the same way that fasting is. When you give a gift to Christ like this, it’s a way of saying, “The joy that I pursue (Matthew 2:10!) is not the hope of getting rich with things from you. I have not come to you for your things, but for yourself. And this desire I now intensify and demonstrate by giving up things, in the hope of enjoying you more, not things. By giving to you what you do not need, and what I might enjoy, I am saying more earnestly and more authentically, ‘You are my treasure, not these things.’” I think that’s what it means to worship God with gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh. May God take the truth of this text and waken in us a desire for Christ himself. May we say from the heart, “Lord Jesus, you are the Messiah, the King of Israel. All nations will come and bow down before you. God wields the world to see that you are worshiped.
Therefore, whatever opposition I may find, I joyfully ascribe authority and dignity to you, and bring my gifts to say that you alone can satisfy my heart, not these.”

Are Any Of You Suffering Hardships

He wants to know how you are doing....there aren't any truer words than these and the ones written below.
He truly is a good God. It's time we started acting like.
God Bless.

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. (NLT) -James 5:13-14
God wants to be apart of our daily lives. He wants to know how you are doing! He instructs us to cry out to Him when things feel hard and to give thanks when things couldn’t be better. Prayer is our direct line to God. He wants to hear from you. Make prayer apart of your daily rhythm.

Desiring To Please Him In All Things

Why is it, we as human beings have a problem with wanting to please others and not don't have the same desire to please God?

Because we live in a fallen state and we have to train our minds it is better to please our Saviour than to please people.

We truly are in a battle for our minds.

God Bless.

Desiring to Please Him in All Things

by Joyce Meyer

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him. Did I mess any
—2 Chronicles 16:9

Anyone who loves God wants to please Him. Just having the desire to please Him pleases Him. A desire to please God is necessary— it motivates us to seek His will in all things. People who have a deep desire to please God may not perform perfectly all the time, but they keep pressing forward and always have the attitude of wanting to improve.
In 2 Chronicles 16:9, we see God is searching to and fro for someone whose heart is perfect toward Him. The Scripture does not say He is looking for someone with a perfect performance, but rather someone with a perfect heart—a heart desiring to please Him.

If Christ Has Not Been Raised

Power insight and points into Jesus' resurrection and what it means to for us.
I am truly beyond grateful for His resurrection power.
Gos Bless.
If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15:17)
Here are ten amazing things we owe to Jesus’s resurrection: 1) A Savior who can never die again. “We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again” (Romans 6:9). 2) Repentance. “The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel” (Acts 5:30–31). 3) New birth. “According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). 4) Forgiveness of sin. “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17). 5) The Holy Spirit. “This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing” (Acts 2:32–33). 6)
No condemnation for the elect. “Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died — more than that, who was raised — who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us” (Romans 8:34). 7) Jesus’s personal fellowship and protection. “I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). 8) Proof of coming judgment. “[God] has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead” (Acts 17:31). 9) Salvation from the future wrath of God. “[We] wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:10; Romans 5:9). 10) Our own resurrection from the dead. “[We know] that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence” (2 Corinthians 4:14; Romans 6:4; 8:11; 1 Corinthians 6:14; 15:20).

I Will Lift Up My Eyes To The Hills

Here is another devotional to help remind us God will be there when we need help or in our time of need.
He is truly the friend that sticks closer than a brother.
God Bless.
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.” Psalms‬ ‭121:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Lift your eyes to the hills from where your help comes from; your help comes from the Lord. You are never helpless. You are never without support. However, it’s up to you to receive the help He abundantly provides. When you call on the Lord, His Holy Spirit will come to your aid; He will mightily rush to your rescue. He will help you lift your hands in worship. He will help you sustain under pressure without breaking. He will help you seize every promise that He’s made to you. Don’t worry my friend, He will help you. There will never be a moment in our lives when we will not need God’s help. So we reach up and reach out our hands like little girls and say, “Father! Lift me up! Father! Fill my cup! Father! Set me free! Father!
Strengthen me!” And His Holy Spirit will do just that! Prayer: Yes, Lord! I need your help. I can’t make it without you. I can’t do anything without you. But with you, nothing’s impossible. So I cry out, heal me, strengthen me, set me free and help me to persevere by faith. I receive your supernatural help. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Read John 16:7-15)

Above And Beyond

This is such a truth worthy little devotional that gives you a powerful punch of what Jesus would like us to live.
However, it is easier said than done yet, He still has faith in us. May we never learn to just live a life but to live a life walking in the footprints of our Savior.
God Bless.
"If you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?" (Matthew 5:47)
Devotional
Matthew writes what Jesus says about love for our enemies. Jesus calls us to go above and beyond, to do more than is required, more than is the norm. This term is usually associated with military personnel but here in this passage it was used when He spoke to the masses people like you and I. To live and portray Christ-like character is what we are commissioned to do, we ought to take it up a notch and be different from the rest of the world. Let's remember that we are the light and the salt of the earth, therefore we go above and beyond.

Whom Will We Serve

A very important question every person must answer for themselves. May we answer that question like our lives depends on it and it does!

God Bless.

Whom Will We Serve?
My members, the parts of my body, are instruments of righteousness, yielded to God for His service and for His glory.
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?(Romans 6:16)
Paul said that when we yield ourselves to someone, we become slaves of the one we obey. If we yield to, let’s say, immorality, we become slaves of immorality. We cannot yield to sin without becoming its slaves. Thus, we must decide to whom and to what we want to yield. Some of us don’t like choices, but in the spiritual life, we cannot avoid them.
At the end of his career, Joshua gave Israel a choice:
Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth....And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
(Joshua 24:14–15)
Joshua challenged the Israelites to make a choice, and this choice has never changed. It is not whether we will serve; it is whom we will serve. Serve we will. Before we were redeemed, we had no choice. We could not keep from sinning; there was no other option but to be slaves to sin and servants of Satan. After we experience redemption through faith in Jesus Christ, though, we have another option: we can choose to serve God and be “slaves” to righteousness.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your victory on the cross. I choose to serve the Lord, and I proclaim that my members, the parts of my body, are instruments of righteousness, yielded to God for His service and for His glory. Amen.

Quote Of The Day - You Need To Have An I Am

Everyone needs to get understanding and wisdom in the words written below.
But most of all, everyone needs a new mindset and why not start with the words written below.
God Bless.
Quote of the Day -Joyce Meyer “You need to have an “I am” and an “I can” attitude. Fill your thoughts and your words with these confessions daily, and then you will bring more joy into your life!    I am a new creation in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:17).
I can live in perfect peace (see Isaiah 26:3).    I am slow to speak, quick to hear, and slow to anger (see James 1:19).    I can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens me (see Philippians 4:13).    I am more than a conqueror in Christ (see Romans 8:37).    I can have the mind of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 2:16).    I am dead to sin and alive to righteousness (see Romans 6:11).    I can overcome evil with good (see Romans 12:21). Those Who Oppress The Poor

If this little devotional doesn't get you thinking, than I am not sure what will.
The poor obviously has an special place in   God's heart and we would be wise not to break it. Just saying....
God Bless.
Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him. (NLT) -Proverbs 14:31
God cares about the poor, oppressed and needy. He is a God of justice. We please our Maker when we show kindness to those in need. Find one practical way to show compassion towards someone in your life today.

He Always Comes Through, If You Wait On Him

The Lord promises to make a way for us and this little devotional just goes to show just how much He will move mountains for the people who love Him.
May He move all your mountains as the day's and year progresses.
God Bless.

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19
The Lord promises His people that He will always make a way. Just because you don’t see how it will be done, doesn’t mean He can’t and won’t do it for you. You may be in the last hour, running out of time, wondering how and when God is going to come through like He said He would. Sometimes, it can be tough waiting on the Lord. But He always comes through. He always comes through, if you wait on Him. His Word tells us, “The trying of our faith produces patience” (see James 1:3).
Maybe your faith in God is being tried and you are having to trust and depend on Him like never before, but God says, He will make a way out of no way for you. Stay vigilant. Stay persistent. Stay in faith. Look for His way out like you’re looking for lost keys. Saying to yourself, I know it has to be here somewhere! And, it is. Don’t lean to your own understanding, wait on God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (see Hebrews 13:8)! He always comes through, if you wait on Him.
Prayer: Father, you are good and faithful. Even when I am in troubling situations, you know how to make a way out of no way for me. Thank you! Help me learn to trust you more. Help my faith in you to deepen. Even when situations don’t feel good or look good, you are good and you are faithful. Show me your way out and help me not to lean on my own understanding. Be glorified in my life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Invite Jesus Into Your Marriage

I wish I had found this little devotional before I had gotten married but even still, after being married for 17 years, I can still see and use the wisdom written in the words below.
Jesus is essential to every part of our lives, the following is prove of just that.
God Bless.
Invite Jesus Into Your Marriage
A wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. - John 2:1-2, NIV
Jesus accepted the invitation to a wedding! Have you invited Jesus to participate in your marriage? Marriage was His idea. He gave the basic ground rules for it. He knows how it works best. And He longs to be invited to come into yours. Danny and I invited Jesus to come to our wedding from the first moment we were engaged. In fact, inscribed inside each of our wedding bands is a triangle that signified there are three of us in this relationship. God is at the apex, Danny and I at the lower corners. Our commitment was that as we grew closer to God individually, we would also draw closer to each other. If you need a miracle in your marriage, start by inviting Jesus into the relationship. You will be blessed, not only by your increased awareness of His Presence, but also by the knowledge that He is there when unexpected problems and crises arise.

A New Commandment

Although the elections are over for this year, I still feel as if this little devotional is for today.
We, as the Christian, need to lead by example not only during the election and the politics of it all but also in all those days afterward. There is a world watching and waiting for us to rise up, take back our land, move the world by our beliefs and compassion, and make the King of Kings known all the while shouting from the mountain top that He lives!
God Bless.
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. (NLT) -John 13:34
In a time when politics abound and culture is at war with itself, how do we react? Should we jump in the middle, pick a side, and point fingers? Do we volley attacks at our own brothers and sisters who think differently? The first rule of thumb is to not pass judgment. Then, seriously determine what is the most loving response, one that would inspire others. Couldn't this world use a bit more love?

Christian Living

Amen! And Amen! And one more Amen for the maximum effect!

Read the following little devotional and be blessed.

Christian Living

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven
- Matthew 5:16

Everyone appreciates good works. Many people do good works. Philanthropists, volunteers, and even Hollywood stars are seen doing good works around the globe every day. But "good works" is not what God is interested in. God is supremely concerned for the glory of God.
It is for this reason that Jesus was not satisfied to simply command charitable deeds, random acts of kindness, or the many other good works that all the world hails. Rather, Jesus tells us, "Let your light so [even so, after this manner] shine" that when people see your good works, they will praise -- not you, but -- your Father in heaven.
When you have opportunity to help others, be courteous, show love, give of yourself -- are people encouraged to give you credit, or do you point them to Christ as the source and motivation for any good that you do? It is so easy for our pride, our selfishness, and our people-pleasing nature to take even our best Christian efforts and turn them into an occasion for self-glory.
But, amazingly, Jesus himself never did that. He always pointed to his Father, gave his Father credit, directed the attention to his Father. If the Son of God himself would disdain to receive the acclaim of men for his good works, how much more should our lives be mirrors that reflect the glorious goodness and grace of our God?

Learn And Do

I know I have said it before but preach it Joyce!

Wisdom overflow right here in this little devotional.

Let us become a doer!

God Bless.

Learn and Do

by Joyce Meyer

Pray that the LORD your God will show us what to do and where to go . . . Whether we like it or not, we will obey the LORD our God to whom we are sending you with our plea. For if we obey him, everything will turn out well for us.
—Jeremiah 42:3, 6 NLT

According to the Scripture above, when the Israelites asked Jeremiah to speak to God on their behalf, they had already decided they were going to learn what to do, and, no matter what it was, they were going to do it.
I wonder what would happen if people today had this same attitude every single time they sat anywhere the Word was being preached. What would your life be like if every time you went to church or listened to a teaching CD or read the Bible you had the mind-set,Whatever I learn today, I’m going to do it!
James 4:17 says if we know what to do and don’t do it, that is sin. The wrong things we commit are sin, but the right things we omit are also sin. Make a decision to be a “doer” of God’s Word, and not merely a “hearer.”
Power Thought: I obey God promptly.

PRAISE BEFORE MY BREAKTHROUGH

Oh, how I love this little devotional. And I hadn't realized just how much I needed a good friendly reminder on how to deal with all the negative going on in my life.
So let the praises of Him be forever on our lips.
God Bless.
PRAISE BEFORE MY BREAKTHROUGH -
ACTS 16:16-40 “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, everyone's bonds were unfastened”.

One of the most valuable lessons we can learn in the Kingdom, is to praise before we see the breakthrough we’re looking for.  What I love about this passage of scripture in Acts 16, is that even though Paul and Silas are arrested and in prison, there seems to be a confidence in who they know God to be. He is the same God whom they have encountered, and who they have seen heal and set people free. So as they sit in there prison cell, chains around their ankles, they begin to pray and sing hymns to God. They’re not thankful and singing praise because they are free, they are singing praise because they are confident in who God is, and that He has a plan! The incredible part of this story isn’t just that their breakthrough came, but when Paul and Silas sang their praises, breakthrough came to the whole prison!! It says when the earthquake shook, ALL the doors were open, and EVERYONE’S bonds were set free!!
When we worship and praise through our hard situations and dark seasons of life, the breakthrough’s that we see become an open door for the people around us to see breakthrough’s in their own lives! And the confidence we gain as we see God move in our lives turns into authority to proclaim and see Him do it again in the lives of others. In the next chapter as Paul and Silas go to the next city, there is a group of men that again try to arrest them, and as they condemn them they say “these men who have turned the world upside down have come here also..” (Acts 17:6). It’s so amazing that as we see breakthrough in our own lives, the reputation and testimony of God makes way into places we never thought imaginable. I pray that as you read this chapter and the story of Paul and Silas, that you would be encouraged to praise in the middle of whatever season you’re in, and whatever you’re going through. Praise really is a doorway to our breakthrough, both for us and for the people around us and in our lives.

He Did It Before, He Will Do It Again

Be Encouraged My Friend! His word won't be void in your life or mine!
Let us keep the faith and running our race for union the end, it will all be worth it.
God Bless.

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
My sister, you’ve seen the LORD come through for you many times over the course of your life. You’ve seen how He has made a way out of no way for you. Don’t pretend like you don’t know what your God can do. If He’s done it before, He is doing it again! Right now! The Word of God promises that He makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Just when you’re fighting not to feel discouraged because there seems to be no way, God causes you to look up and see the way He’s made for you. God’s not going to make a way, He has already made a way, and it’s now up to you to ask Him to open your eyes and help you see the way He has made. Don’t lean to your understanding. Allow God to show you what He wants you to see. He’s not worried, and neither should you.
Prayer: Lord, I know you’ve made a way for me. Open my eyes and help me see your way and grace me to walk in it. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Read Proverbs 3:5-6)

Dealing With Offense To Live In Victory

This is a great little devotional. Offense and unforgiveness is a silent killer that has no problem sneaking up in our lives and take no prisoners.
But thankfully, we have a way to stop them in their tracks so we can show them to the door. Life is worth worth living and living life in victory is such a better way to live.
God Bless.
Dealing with Offense to Live in Victory
Jesus often spoke on forgiveness. He illustrated through parables, making people realize the importance of dealing with offense. He said that it is impossible for us not to be offended at some point or the other. The one who gets offended is in bondage and does not live in freedom. As soon as we are offended we should ‘nip it in the bud’.
Ephesians 4:26,27 commands us not to sin in our anger, or let the sun go down on our anger, nor give any place to the devil. Offense is the bait used by the enemy. It is like a seed that germinates, whose roots grow deeper. This leads to bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor and gossip. The deeper the root, the harder the hurt we have to deal with. Offense causes us to lose our peace and rest.
Anxious thoughts haunt us, as we think about the pain of the past, thereby not only hurting ourselves, but also hurting others. Studies have shown that many diseases, like gastritis and arthritis, are caused due to unforgiveness. When we are offended, we think only about ourselves and our needs, but when we don’t have offense we will always be a blessing to others. Therefore, whenever we are offended, instead of nursing the hurt and pain, we must look at Jesus and His work on the cross. Admit and tell God what you are going through, because He knows your heart. Then ask Him for help. It’s always good to position yourself in Christ. Know and believe who you are in Jesus. Dig into God’s Word and pray in the Spirit. Lastly, pray with someone and be healed of your hurt.
Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for forgiving me from all my sins. Just as You forgave me, Lord, I forgive all those who have offended me and I ask You to bless them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I Will Lift Up My Eyes To The Hills

God will be there for you and for me when we are in need. All we have to do is lift up our eyes and watch what God will do in the midst of the storm.
Yes, that storm may last longer than what we want. Yes, we probably should have more faith than we do but with God, all things are possible with the promise He will always be there and will never leave us so, let the storm and day to day things of life come are way for now we know we are more than conquers!

I Wish I Could Say

If you struggle with contentment like I do, then this little devotional is for you. It's something we long and strive for but always seems to be out of reach some how.
Or at least it seems this way to me. But thank heavens for little devotional's like this one to really help get to the root of the problem and helps stir hope within me I am more than what I struggle with and will be a better person for it in the end.
God Bless

I wish I could say that I am always content. I wish I could say that I never complain. I wish I could say that I never want what others have. I wish I could say that I have never envied the life of another. I wish I could say that I have never thought that God gave something to someone else that he meant for me. I wish I could say that I am better at counting my blessings than I am at assessing what I don’t have. I wish I could say that my appetite for things wasn’t so large. I wish my heart would finally be satisfied. These are all wishes because they are not yet completely true of me. Envy still lurks in my heart. It is one of the dark results of the sin that still resides there. Why does the Bible speak so strongly against envy? Here it is: when envy rules your heart, the love of God doesn’t. Let’s think about what envy does. It assumes that you deserve blessings that you don’t deserve. When your heart is ruled by envy, the attitude of “I am blessed” gets replaced with the attitude of “I deserve.” Envy is selfish to the core.
Envy always puts you in the center of the world. It makes everything all about you. It causes you to examine life from the sole perspective of your wants, needs, and feelings. Sadly, envy causes you to question the goodness, faithfulness, and wisdom of God. Envy accuses God of not knowing what he’s doing or of not being faithful to what he’s promised to do. When you are convinced that a blessing that another person has ought to belong to you, you don’t just have a problem with that person, you have a problem with God. When you begin to question God’s goodness, you quit going to him for help. Why?
Because you don’t seek the help of someone you’ve come to doubt. Envy does something else that is spiritually deadly. It assumes understanding that no one has. Envy not only assumes that you know more about that other person’s life than you could ever know, it assumes that you have a clearer understanding of what is best than God does. Furthermore, envy causes you to forget God’s amazing rescuing, transforming, empowering, and delivering grace. You become so occupied with accounting for what you do not have that the enormous blessings of God’s grace—blessings that we could not have earned, achieved, or deserved—go unrecognized and uncelebrated. And because envy focuses more on what you want than it does on the life that God has called you to, it keeps you from paying attention to God’s commands and warnings, and therefore leaves you in moral danger. The only solution to envy is God’s rescuing grace—grace that turns self-centered sinners into joyful and contented worshipers of God.

Are Any Of You Suffering Hardships

Such a good inspiring little devotional that is meant to encourage everyone to run to the only person who can help make this life a little bit easier to deal with.
He truly is the only one we need. Let us run into His everlasting arms now and in the day's to come.

Worship God Not Outcomes

Wisdom, truth, and encouragement all in one little devotional.
After reading this little devotional, we will have no more excuses. So, let us settle our faith walk and put our trust in hand of the man from Galilee and watch Him part the sea of our trials so we can walk right into victory.
God Bless.

“Remember how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands” Deuteronomy 8:2, NLT.

Anyone can worship the LORD when everything is going well. The children of Israel gladly praised the LORD after they crossed over the Red Sea. They gave Him glory with no hesitation after they saw how He delivered them from the Egyptian army. The challenge came when they walked through the wilderness. They began to lose faith, lose patience, and lose their joy in believing. God allowed them to go through the wilderness to show them their heart. As with you daughter, God will allow you to go through the wilderness to show you what you believe. Will you be like the Israelites who lost faith the moment things became difficult, or will you be like God’s servant Job who bowed down and worshiped the LORD after losing everything? You get to choose. We worship God, not outcomes. Our worship is not conditional. It’s not based on whether God answers our prayers or not. It’s based on Him being our King. Declare this from your heart:
“The LORD is my King, and I worship Him, not outcomes. I worship Him with all my heart because of who He is. I choose to trust in Him no matter what I face, and as I do, He strengthens my heart. He strengthens my faith and my joy in believing. He fills me as I humble myself in worship. Nothing will steal my praise and my worship. In Jesus’ name.” (Read Job 1:20; Numbers 14:2; James 1:3-4; Psalms 96:9; 2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

The Lord Is Your Shield

Ever wonder what the shield of God is? Ya, me too and this little devotional helps give an insight on the shield.
Read and be blessed.
“But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high” Psalms 3:3, NIV.
The Lord is our shield. He’s our impenetrable shield. He protects us and covers us. He shelters us and we are hidden in Christ. We are hiding in His shield, not to hide in fear from the enemy, but we are hiding in His shield so that we can advance God’s kingdom and make forward steps into fulfilling His purpose for our lives. I want to encourage you today to know that no attempt from the enemy will prosper in your life. Anything he tries to do to harm you will not work. He will not be able to derail God’s plans for your life. Anything God wants to do in, around and through you will be accomplished. It is God working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight. Be comforted today in knowing that God knows exactly what He’s doing. He’s allowing whatever He’s allowing for a divine reason, and it is all going to work out according to His divine plan. In the end, you win. In the end, you are victorious through Jesus. So no matter what you are facing right now. No matter what the enemy is trying to do, it will be a failed attempt because it is God who gives you the victory through Jesus and it is God who causes you to be triumphant through Christ.
Prayer: Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord! I am victorious through Jesus. I hide in your protective shield, not in fear, but in faith. I cover myself with Christ, and I declare that I will move forward into the divine purpose and plan you have for me. Thank you, Lord, that no weapon formed against me will prosper. Thank you that you’ve given me the victory in every area of life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trusting God's Character

Remember God loves you! Be blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
Trusting God’s Character
Rest in the knowledge that you are loved: ‘we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.’ Neither goodness nor love are qualities that God merely possesses – they are the essence of his being. God loves because his nature is to love. To imagine that God does not love us is to deny his true nature and to repudiate his character.

Listen For God's Voice

Thank you once again Joyce for all the truth and the wisdom written below.

My prayer is it sinks deep within my life and into others.

God Bless.

Listen for God’s Voice

by Joyce Meyer

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
—John 10:27 NKJV

One of the questions that people most frequently ask me is “How can I know specifically what God wants me to do?”
Of all the ways God speaks to you, He most frequently uses peace, wisdom, and the voice of our conscience—that still, small voice inside your spirit that tells you what is right and wrong. The Holy Spirit, who dwells in believers, speaks to your spirit what He wants you to do. Your spirit then communicates the message to your mind, and your mind is then enlightened on what action to take.
God is speaking to you! And He wants to direct you in every area of your life. So delight yourself in Him, follow after peace, and obey the voice of your conscience.

God Blesses Me To Be A Blessing

My hope is that after reading this little devotional, there will be a fire start to burn within you to become a blessing to other's for what the world needs now is for everyone to love another by not accepting their sins but by showing them the way via any means God shows you.
God Bless.
God Blesses Me to be a Blessing

Today, more than ever, we see numerous people across the planet stuck in a cycle of debt. The lure of the latest gadgets, a fashionable wardrobe and a luxurious lifestyle has led men and women into debt traps. As they struggle to come out of debt, one of the first things they are taught is to purchase only according their needs, not their wants. But with God, the game changes! Jesus said, in Matthew 6:33, when we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, all other things will be added to us.
Psalm 37:4 says, Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. As we place God first and keep seeking Him, He takes care of everything else. The same God, who looks after the birds of the air and the flowers in the fields, knows our hearts before we can even ask Him for anything. He is the one who ensures that there is more than enough food on the table, clothes in your cupboard and creative ideas and strategies to put you at the top in your workplace. He ensures that you have enough for yourself and enough to bless others too. Yes, there are times when money is scarce and our needs are high. But God is faithful and He always comes through! He doesn’t give you just enough for your current needs, but ensures that you have more than enough to be a blessing to others.
Declaration God satisfies every want and every need of mine, so that I am blessed, and so that I can be a blessing to many others.

Decision Making

It's all about the kingdom of God. Or a least it should be in every decision we make and in everything we do.

If not, well it dosen't hurt to reevaluate our lives and make adjustments as needed.

Thank heavens we have a God who is patient with us as we pick ourselves up and continue to work out our salivation.

God Bless.

Decision Making

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you
- Matthew 6:33

Life can often seem very complicated. Career decisions, family dynamics, academic ambitions -- every area and issue of life has its own challenges.

However, Jesus spotlights for us the one overriding, all-encompassing priority for living and, by doing so, simplifies our complicated decisions considerably. Seek first the kingdom, Jesus says, not personal advancement, financial security, or self-fulfillment.

Should you accept this promotion? Seek first the kingdom. Where should you send your children to school? Seek first the kingdom. Should you pursue this relationship? Seek first the kingdom.

While this directive does not provide the specific answer to every problem, it certainly does eliminate a great number of possible options. If it does not further the kingdom of God and reflect his righteousness, then it does not meet your basic criteria and need not be considered any further.

When we single-mindedly seek the welfare of the kingdom, then Jesus promises that God will seek our welfare, as well: all these things will be added to you. What things are these? Everything that is necessary and good for you, everything that will assist you in your goal of advancing the kingdom of Christ.

As you face difficult and convoluted questions today, filter your thoughts and decisions through this all-important objective: seek first the kingdom of God.

Fellowship With Jesus

I think we need more of this and a whole lot less of everything else. Read and enjoy and begin our day talking to to the Man who is everything we need.
God Bless.

Fellowship with Jesus
Joe Stowell
I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Philippians 3:8 Philippians 3:7–14 Esther 6–8; Acts 6

I’ll never forget the time I had the privilege of sitting next to Billy Graham at a dinner. I was honored but also somewhat nervous about what would be appropriate to say. I thought it would be an interesting conversation starter to ask what he loved most about his years of ministry. Then I awkwardly started to suggest possible answers. Was it knowing presidents, kings, and queens? Or preaching the gospel to millions of people around the world? Before I had finished offering suggestions, Rev. Graham stopped me. Without hesitation he said, “It has been my fellowship with Jesus. To sense His presence, to glean His wisdom, to have Him guide and direct me—that has been my greatest joy.” I was instantly convicted and challenged. Convicted because I’m not sure that his answer would have been my answer, and challenged because I wanted it to be. That’s what Paul had in mind when he counted his greatest achievements to be of no worth compared to the “surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8).

Think of how rich life would be if Jesus and our fellowship with Him was our highest pursuit.   Lord, forgive me for chasing after things that matter far less than my fellowship with You. Thank You that You stand ready to enrich my life with Your presence and power. To remain faithful where God has placed you, give Christ first place in your heart.

Prayer

This is a great little devotional on prayer. As you may or may not be aware, I need all the help I can get into this area.

So, I just want to share the wealth so we all can live our best lives.

God Bless.

Prayer

Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord
- 2 Kings 19:14

Here is one of the best pictures of prayer in the Bible. Hezekiah is king over Israel when the cruel and powerful Assyrian army marches against them. Rabshakeh, the army's spokesman, sends a threatening letter and tells Hezekiah not to trust in his God for deliverance.

Here was an enormous temptation and a trial, all wrapped into one little scroll. There is the imminent danger of being razed to the ground by the Assyrian empire; then there is the verbal prompting not to trust in God for a rescue.

But how does Hezekiah deal with this letter? He receives it, he reads it...and then he takes it straight to the Lord and spreads it before him. What a wonderful picture of prayer! It is the spreading of our problems, our temptations, our struggles before the Lord in the face of every temptation to do otherwise.

Are you today wrestling with a temptation to sin that is threatening to conquer you? Spread it before the Lord. Is you heart weighed down with some terrible worry, or sorrow, or pain? Spread it before the Lord. Have you felt the weight of your guilt before a holy God for the first time? Spread it before the Lord.

No one has ever come to the Lord and gone away disappointed. Hezekiah did not, and you will not.

Invite Jesus Into Your Marriage

This is such a great insight into how to make a marriage better yet, any kind of relationship work.
When it's all said and done in a day, Jesus is the way for any and all problems.

Speak Life

Life. I was always told that it's what YOU make it.
If I am being completely honest here, there has been times when I haven't made the best of what life has had to offer.
In fact, I am usually leaning heavily on the negative side holding on for dear life. Maybe it is time to change it up a little bit and trying something new by doing what this little devotional say's and see how that works out for me.
Yeah I'm game. Time for a change and live my best life.
God Bless
Speak Life!
Scripture warns us not to allow any unwholesome talk to come out of our mouths. The dictionary definition of ‘unwholesome’ is ‘detrimental to physical, mental, or moral well-being’. Hurtful talk is just one thing that can be categorized as ‘unwholesome’. We often say things, even in jest, that are likely to hurt people around us, but the Bible warns us to stay away from conversation that is unwholesome. There are numerous instances where Jesus conversed with other people. In each situation, He used that moment to heal people, teach them biblical truths or to correct them, if they had made mistakes. Everything He did and said was useful to people and was exactly what they needed at that moment. Jesus set the perfect example for us. Every interaction with another person should be used as an opportunity to encourage them and to speak words of comfort, life and victory, rather than words of defeat into their lives. Why is it so important for us to indulge in wholesome conversation? It demonstrates the same love that Jesus had for people. When we speak encouraging and beneficial words with other people, they will automatically be drawn toward us, giving us a perfect opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them.
Displaying this love is a biblical commandment, as seen in John 13:34 (NIV), “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” The next time you think of saying something hurtful or upsetting, take a moment and consider whether your words will show others the love of Jesus.
Prayer Father, help me as I interact with people around me. Let me only speak words of life and encouragement into their lives that I may demonstrate Your love towards them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Rapture Some Call It

I love this little devotional and after I read it, all I can say is come Lord Jesus come it's time!
God Bless.

The Rapture Some call it ‘The Blessed Hope’; and others ‘The Rapture’. For the Christian, whose hope and trust is in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is the moment he or she has been yearning for. A promise of God, waiting to be fulfilled. The signs are very clear and it could happen any time. Maybe, while you are reading this devotional.
At the blast of the trumpet and in the twinkling of an eye, the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive will soon follow and thus we shall be with the Lord forever. Are you ready for the rapture? Have you crowned Jesus as your only Lord, God and Savior? Are you in a relationship with Him and His Father? Are you reading His Word, the Bible? Are you sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others? If not, pray the prayer below. This will help you hand over your life to Jesus Christ and be saved. Don’t waste another moment, it may be too late. After the rapture takes place, the anti-Christ will be revealed and he will have control over the whole world. All those who did not trust and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be left behind. There will be an evil and wicked rule of the anti-Christ for the next seven years. The Bible says that this will be a terrible time of tribulation such as has never been experienced before. But God has made a way of escape for His people to avoid the tribulation period. For God’s people there will be eternal life free from sin, sickness, pain, persecution and death. Will you not accept God’s free gift of salvation for your life?
Prayer Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in You. I know You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins and on the third day, You rose from the grave. Forgive me for every sin of mine. I invite You to live in my heart and I now crown You Lord over my life. Make me the type of person You want me to be. Amen.

In Due Time

I love this little devotional. Sure this is meant for mom's but I think this could be for everyone who is in need of a word from God.
Believe you me, I am almost in need of one to help me get through a day. So, when I came across this little devotional, it struck a cord in me and I wanted to spread the wealth.
God Bless.

In Due Time
As a mom, do you ever feel like life is passing you by? Like there is a big world out there, but you are stuck in your four walls surrounded by children, laundry, cleaning, etc. Do you feel there is nothing exciting going on in your world? Take heart! God has not forgotten you. God will take care of you now, and He will lift you up in due time. The problem for most moms is the phrase, “Due Time.” Mom’s think, “I don’t want to wait for God’s due time.” But, that’s where humbling ourselves comes into the picture.   If we humble ourselves by putting our children first, serving them, nurturing them and teaching them, then God will lift you up in due time. It will be worth the wait. We only get one chance in raising our children and we have a limited amount of time. If you look to the Lord and ask Him to get you through these hard days, He will bring you to the other side. Who knows how He will lift you up in due time? Only God knows, but it’s His promise and He will fulfill it.  Prayer Father, give me patience to wait on You and Your “due time”.
God, open my eyes to the importance of my job as a mom and help me not to want to shove all my mom responsibilities to the side and run ahead to meet all my needs. Fill my needs up with Your love, Your joy, and Your contentment. I humble myself before You today.

Throwing Off Condemation

Don't you think it's time to get rid of this subject matter so we can move on towards something bigger and better?

I think so but before we seem to be able to do this, we may need to understand what kind of hold condemnation has on us and this little devotional seems to dive right into why it isn't good for us. So be encouraged my friend and learn to let go for something greater awaits each and every one of us.

God Bless.

Throwing Off Condemnation
Let us draw near to the throne of grace.
It is important that we approach God without condemnation; in other words, boldly, because, “if I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear” (Psalm 66:18).
If I “regard iniquity in my heart,” it means that I come to God with a consciousness in my heart of something that condemns me. Every time I try to approach God with faith, Satan reminds me of something that is not right and that has not been dealt with—maybe a sin that has not been confessed, or, if it has been confessed, is still lingering because I have not claimed and received God’s forgiveness. I am therefore conscious of this thing in my heart all the time. And if I come with condemnation, I do not receive that for which I pray.
I must remove the consciousness of sin from within my heart. Basically, this is done by faith. “If we confess our sins,” the Scripture says, “He [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). We cannot do anything about the sin problem except confess, repent, and trust God for the forgiveness and cleansing that He has promised us. After that, we must not go on worrying about our sins, because if we remain conscious of sin as we pray, God will not hear our prayers. As the Scripture says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.”
Yet the psalmist went on to say, “But certainly God has heard me” (Psalm 66:19). In other words, the psalmist rises above Satan’s attempt to condemn him and says, “God has heard me.” Why does God hear us? Because we come in the name of Jesus. Because we come with praise and thanksgiving. Therefore, we are not condemned.
Thank You, Lord, that I can come boldly to You. I proclaim that I throw off Satan’s attempt to condemn me, declaring that “God has heard me,” because I come in the name of Jesus. I shall draw near to the throne of grace. Amen.

Prayer

Sharing more insight on prayer. You can never have to much insight on the working of prayer.

Be encouraged my friend and God Bless.

Devine Appointment

Here is some wisdom for you. Be encouraged and God Bless
Divine Appointment
Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. - Psalm 62:1, NKJV
Have you ever considered that you have a divine appointment when you get up early for your quiet time of prayer and meditation on His Word? . . . That Jesus is patiently, personally waiting to meet with you there? Have you ever thought of going to church as a divine appointment? . . . That Jesus is patiently, personally waiting to meet with you there? Have you ever thought of the Bible study you belong to as a divine appointment? . . . That Jesus is patiently, personally waiting to meet with you there? What a difference it would make in our attitude of expectancy and our habit of consistency if we truly wrapped our hearts around the knowledge that each is a divine appointment, that Jesus Himself is waiting to meet with us. O Lord, Hear Me As I Pray

I, needed this. I have a tendency to put my trust and validation in myself in people instead of the One I should.
This little devotional is a good reminder that all we need is Jesus to live our best lives.
God Bless.

O LORD, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. (NLT) -Psalm 5:1
Do you ever struggle with feeling like you aren't heard by others or worse misunderstood? It's never a good feeling when a trusted friend fails to listen or hear you. Rather than getting upset and mad at them recognize their limitations. Accept them for who they are and don't try to change them. Turn to God to be heard and understood. He is always waiting for you to turn your heart to Him. Have your needs met by God.

Quote Of The Day - If You Want To Keep A Problem

No greater wisdom one will find than what is written in this little devotional below.
May the words below find healing for your soul.
God Bless.

Quote of the Day
-Joyce Meyer
“If you want to keep a problem you have, then just keep talking about it. But if you want to get rid of it, then talk about the answer as if you expect it to manifest at any moment.”

Seek His Will In All You Do

I am so guilty of doing this. Thankfully, I don't have to stay in this state. All I have to do is change my mindset to make a much needed change.
Sometimes we can make the simplest things so complicated. Plus, we are a people who hate changes but it has been my experience, change is the best thing to happen to us.
So, let's make that change!
God Bless.

Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (NLT) -Proverbs 3:6
Usually we reserve the big decisions for God to throw in His two cents, such as job options, marriage partner, and moving possibilities. Yet we are quick to make "smaller" decisions without giving any thought to God's will. Where we spend our time, who we spend it with, and the words we say are decisions we make daily, but don't think twice about inviting God into the process. It's quite possibly these smaller decisions which make a greater impact on our lives when we ask God to show us His will. The next time you make a decision, invite God.

Above Every Name

There is little doubt after reading this little devotional that Jesus is all we need.

If you need anything, cry out to your maker so you can live your best life. I promise you, it will be worth it in the end.

God Bless.

Above Every Name

by Joyce Meyer

That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
—Philippians 2:10

Speaking the name of Jesus and having a revelation about the power in that name are two different things. Releasing the power in the name of Jesus requires a supernatural revelation.
When you speak the name of Jesus in faith, His name is so powerful that every knee must bow in three realms—in heaven, on earth, and under the earth!
Think about this tonight: Jesus came from the highest heaven, He has been to the earth, and has descended to Hades, or under the earth, and now is seated at the right hand of the Father once again in the highest heaven. He has filled everything and everywhere with Himself. He is seated above everything else and has a name that is above every other name. His name is the highest name, the most powerful name—and His name has been given to us!

Don't Quit

After the weeks I've had, I have wanted to give up and call it a day. But thank heavens, God knew what I needed to keep putting one front in front of the other.

No matter what your situation may be may you find something in this little devotional to help you from giving up.

God Bless.

Don’t Quit!

by Joyce Meyer

And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
—Galatians 6:9

“I’ve been a Christian for twenty-three years,” Cheryl said. “I’m just not getting anywhere. I’m as weak as I was when I first accepted Christ as my Savior. I still fail. I just don’t know if it’s worth it.” Tears streamed down her cheeks as she continued to talk about her failures. “By now I know all the right things to do, but I don’t do them. Sometimes I deliberately do something mean-spirited or unkind. What kind of Christian am I?”
“Probably a growing Christian,” I said.
A startled look appeared on Cheryl’s face. “Growing? Did you hear—?”
“Yes, I heard. But if you weren’t growing, you wouldn’t lament your failures. You’d be satisfied about your spiritual level or tell yourself how good you are.”
“But I’m so discouraged, and I fail God so many times.”
I went on to tell Cheryl she was correct—that she had failed. All of us do at times. None of us is perfect. If we’re not careful, we allow the devil to point to what we haven’t accomplished and where we have been weak. When that happens, it’s easy to feel bad or want to give up.
That’s not the way of the Spirit. No matter how we mess up our lives, God doesn’t give up on us. The Spirit constantly nudges us.
We can allow our thoughts to dwell on what we haven’t done, why we ought to be more spiritual, or how spiritual we ought to be after all these years in our Christian faith. That’s a trick of the devil—to make us think of our defects and shortcomings. If we focus on what we’re not or what we haven’t accomplished, we are allowing the devil to make advances on the battlefield of our minds.
The fact that my troubled friend was upset was a healthy sign, even though she didn’t see it that way. With the Holy Spirit’s help, she can push back the devil. She can regain the territory Satan has stolen from her.
Cheryl seemed to think that holy, victorious living came from one major victory after another. Yes, we do have times when we have great breakthroughs; however, most of our victories come slowly. They come little by little. It’s as if we inch forward. Because we move slowly in our spiritual growth, we are often unaware of how far we have moved. If the devil can make us think that we must have one decisive spiritual victory after another or we’re losers, he has gained an important stronghold.
My advice to Cheryl, and to all Christians who face those dark moments, is to listen to the words of the apostle Paul. He exhorted us not to grow weary, or as another translation says it, “not to lose heart.” He’s saying, “Don’t quit. Keep fighting.”
Life is a struggle, and the devil is determined to defeat and destroy us. We don’t ever reach the place where we never have to fight. But it’s not just our fight. Jesus is not only with us, but He is for us. He’s at our side to strengthen us and to urge us onward.
My friend kept remembering the times she had failed, but I reminded her of the times she had succeeded. “You think the devil is in control, but that’s not true. You have failed, but you have also succeeded. You have stood your ground and you have made progress.”
“Don’t quit. Don’t give up.” That’s the message we need to hear. I think of the words of Isaiah: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you… ; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you” (Isaiah 43:1b–2).
This is God’s promise. He doesn’t promise to take us completely out of troubles or hardships, but He does promise to be with us as we go through them. “Fear not,” He says. That’s the message we need to ponder. We don’t need to fear because God is with us. And when God is with us, what is there to worry about?
God, despite my failures, You are with me, encouraging me not to give up. Please help me to remember that, with Your help, I can win. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
