100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 62

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

I want to be a tree planted by the water, with deep roots in Jesus and I want to be able to stand in heat where others may fall. I want to bear fruit. I want to leave a legacy for the world to see.

I want to be known for not backing down or giving up or withering under the heat of a storm. I want to stand tall for my savior, after all isn't it the least thing I could do seeing all what He has done for me?

It's just a small price but I imagine the rewards will be great as I walk the streets of heaven and I'm ushered into the heavenly throne room to have a one on one time like never before. But first things first, I must live in this world and this world sucks.

It's full of trials and all sorts of uglyness. I'm barely keeping my head above water. One day at a time, I'm beginning to see myself become the tree that is standing firm with deep roots, my leaves has started to sprout a little fruit and I'm beginning to become the willing vessel God has long awaited for me to become.

If I can do it, so can you. Just remember, it's starts with the little things before the big things begin to grow.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 61

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Peace, His peace He left down here on earth. How do you find it? The Holy Spirit will guide you to it and show you how to live it.

We should not be living under any pressure, giving in to worry, or be troubled about anything. Yet we are human or at least I am.

It's when I'm living by the Spirit that He tells me to cast all my cares on the one who died for them. It's when I'm living by the Spirit that He tells me I'm more than a conquer and it's my job to believe it and then live by it.

It's all about living by the Spirit. He's where it's all at. He will give us what we need to get through the day. He won't give us more than what we can handle. He prompts us with scriptures to be spoken out, He gives us rest for our weary heads, and He speaks to us about things we need yet to get rid of to overcome the battle and be victorious.

Most of all, He's peace and when we are living in the Spirit, we are living the very heartbeat of the Holy Spirit....Peace.

We can't survive without it. We won't make it back from the battlefield without knowing we have it, and most of all, we can't spend eternity without knowing what it can do for us. Awe, the wonderful world of peace.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 60

Isaiah 55:12

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

It's all about joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! It's about having a good time. It's abut loving and living life! It's about enjoying others and the scene around you.

God looks down on us with Joy. So if He does that shouldn't we do the same? So go, spread some joy today and guess what, the mountains and the hills will be your backup singers!!!!

How cool is that! For the mountains and the hills already sing their praises to their Creator. Shouldn't we follow suit? Go sing a song and enjoy your journey and the life you are living today, do it quick because your backup singers just might do it for ya and then you will become their backup.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 59

Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

In His presence is fullness of joy. At His right hand is pleasures for evermore. If pleasures are on His right hand what is on His left?

I think I'm getting the bigger picture here. He wants me to enjoy my family, my life, where I am right at this moment in time, but most of all enjoy having a relationship with Him.

He wants me to know without a shadow of a doubt He's going to show me the path He wants me to take and all I have to do is just follow it because at the end pleasures for evermore awaits me.

Yeah, this is something I could get use to.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scripture of Encouragement: Day 58

Isaiah 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

The garment of salvation. It's all we need. Thank you Jesus.

Yet He gives me a robe of righteousness because I'm on a path to working out my own salvation and standing on His word, living it day by day, and I'm sharing His ways to others through His love and not my own because my own love gets me into trouble and I don't see people how God sees them.

He's going to be my bridegroom? And I'm going to be a bride with all sorts of jewels? I pray so. I know some have to be guest at the wedding while others take part of the actual ceremony. I have to wonder if this is where the scripture without spot or winkle comes in? Have I let anything unpleasing into my life without putting it under the blood of the lamb? Do I know and cherish Jesus as my bridegroom? Do I follow His ways and do things for Him because I love Him like I love my earthly husband? It is yet to be determine.

One thing I know, is today, and in the days to come, I'm going to rejoice with my Lord, and be joyful for all the things He has done for me and rejoice and be full of joy in each new level He takes me and finally ponder how my Bridegroom is going to be ruler over everything that is yet to come.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 57

Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Are there certain days that are holy unto your God? Do you and God have special days that meaningful between you and Him? Are there day's when nothing gets under your skin because of  certain day?

For me it's the birth of my son, it's the day my father died, or the day when I came home and acknowledge who He was, is and going to be in my life.

These are they days that when things come at you, you can shove things and people aside and say, "Go your way, do you thing because there ain't nothing you say or do that is going to effect me this day because today, is a holy day for me and my Father.

Nothing your going throw at me is going to get me down because I know where my joy and strength come from."

Knowing where the joy of the Lord is your strength is not only good for your holy days but in every day. When you rely on His joy, just maybe, the holy days between you and your God will be everyday instead of certain days on the calendar.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement:Day 56

Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost. I don't know about you, but there are times that just the thought of the Holy Ghost scares me. Not in a ghostly way but where He wants to take me which is usually, higher, deeper, and my lonelier than ever before.

There's a price to be paid to truly follow the Holy Ghost and I'm not sure I do Him justice. I squirm, and protest and sometimes tell Him flat out NO!

When He calls me to go deeper, its usually in a way that is totally unknown for me. I've never walked that way before. It's the fear of the unknown and I can become the most stubborn person on the planet by just saying, "Not today, catch me on the flip side tomorrow." And when tomorrow comes, it's the same thing and before long, I forget all about what He wants me to do.

When I do this, I begin to slip and get negative, and things start to fall apart and when I question I always am lead back to the first day the Holy Ghost said come with me on this adventure. I have no choice then because my life is usually a mess.

If I would just listen in the first place, things would be soooooooooooooooooooo much different. I'm getting strong and one of these days, it will be automatic Yes Lord.

But thank God, He still has faith in me and still fills me with joy and peace and never leaves me and still willing to give me hope for tomorrow. Yes, that Holy Ghost is indeed someone kind of special.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 55

Psalm 33:20-22

Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

According as we hope in thee. In these day in age, I pray I have a lot of hope in the Lord for I need all the mercy I can get. I am so thankful it's new every morning but this scripture at the end talks about according as we hope so there must be levels of hope as well as mercy.

I don't mean to be selfish here, but I want the top of the line level of mercy there is. I want mercy for not only me and my mistakes but for my family as well. Did I mention I am beginning to see people in a different light? There are often times, I walk down the street and I see someone and I immediately think, Father, have mercy on them, they don't know what they are doing.

We have to get the heart of the Father, and the Father's heart is people. He wants a large family and the only way He's going to have it is through us. He's done every thing He's going to do by giving us Jesus and He puts the rest of the assignment on us.

No wonder we need mercy. There are a lot of people in this world and some are batty than others and so not so much but they still need love anyway. So we must start out and begin to win the lost. Go into the highways and byways and leave everything else at home and at God's feet where He tells us to drop it anyway.

We shouldn't be in such a hurry either. He will guide us to the right people and situations He wants us in. Maybe this is where the first part of the scripture comes in. To tell you the truth, I think we can sum up our lives like this: We wait. We know God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is our help and will protect us in every situation. We must remain joyful and rejoice in all things to get us through some of these days where everything goes wrong. And we must trust in Him at all times and in all things.

I have to wonder, when we put it all together and do what the scripture says, did we just earn a level of mercy to get us through the bigger storm that is on the horizon.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 54

1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Blessed be the God and Father....wow, what a powerful statement there! It is unheard of now-a-days to bless the Father for anything.

I did a little research and what I've come up with is the pioneers of this great country put God first in everything and before everything. When they woke, it was bless the Father for allowing them to make it through the night.

They took nothing for granted and in everything was grateful and they knew how to bless their Father who art in heaven. They knew of and experienced His great mercy. They knew where to put their hope and trust in after all, there was a brand new world to discover.

They didn't allow anything to deter them from their God and their Savior. In fact, a personal relationship with the Christ is still evident today in how they setup this country. Without their walk and the blessing of God behind them, who knows what America would be like today.

Do you think God is done with His people because of all the fore fathers being gone? Not at all. We are suppose to be the last generation. The greatest generation. The generation that has the most knowledge of who God and Jesus is. We are suppose to be walking in the power of the Spirit. Sadly, I don't see much of that happening.

You think we, His children have take Him by surprise? I don't think so. I think He has something up His sleeve and like the scripture says, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

That's us! His church. His bride! He has hidden us away until Himself until He is ready to reveal us to the world without spot or winkle for a mighty outpouring of His glory. So great ready, there's a shift in the air and God is about to move!!

Do it now Lord! Show me Your glory!!!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 53

Psalm 62:5-6

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.

This is my poem for my God. No I did not write it. No I am not committing no crime for coping it. I have permission from the author to reuse it and to personalize it to fit my life.

I will not be moved from my opinion of my God for He is my rock and He's saved me when I thought I was going down for the count. No need to get a defense attorney because He's always on my side for He created me uniquely in my mother's womb and He promises me He will be my judge and defender in trouble times and when life throws me curve balls and people are ignorant of the things they do and say.

I will wait for Him to direct me in all my ways even if it takes minutes, hours, days, months, or years. I will be silent when others around me run their mouths and give me their opinions on things they know nothing about.

Why? For He alone is my God and I love Him.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 52

John 14:1-4

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b] 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Everyone has a favorite scripture and these scriptures used to be my grandfather's favorite. He quoted it often and then tell me about what His place looked like and where it maybe located.

I don't care. All I want is for the rapture to come to take me and my family and the other people God has sent across my path away. Maybe when we get there, we can go together and inspect my grandfather's mansion but I have a feeling, my first stop after seeing the family that has gone before me is for me to face my Savior and King.

If that wasn't enough, I may be too busy bowing at Jesus feet chanting along side the angels. Whatever the case may be, I will have eternity to find the special place Jesus made for me and my grandfather because He's a carpenter who loved enough to die and then rise and then return just for me!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 51

Revelation 21:10-21

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

Can you hear her calling you? Heaven. It's going to be amazing! I can't wait. Go ahead, reread the passage again and find out for yourself what it is going to be like when this world is far behind us.

Who knew streets of gold could get someone so excited not to mention all the cool accessories that comes with it!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 50

Ephesians 2:6-7

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

We (you and me, yeah that's right, you and me) are seated with Jesus. I know you don't see the chair beside Him, well neither do I but I have faith I am so that makes it so. Yep, it's a done deal. I'm sitting in a royal chair that has my name on it. Your my neighbor (nice to meet you by the way) together, we sit back enjoy a meal, and settle in for the entertainment.

I think it's a movie. A movie the is far better than anything we ever seen before and you know something else? We have a eternity to see it and then we get to live it. What could be better than that?

I don't know about you but I say, "Lights, camera's, and action," and maybe add, "where's the popcorn?"

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 49

Jeremiah 17:14

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

I will praise You Lord for healing me even when I don't see the fruit of it but knowing by my faith and my tongue and trust in You it will be done.

I will praise You Lord for saving me even when I didn't know I needed to be saved and lived a life not pleasing to You.

I will praise You Lord for my answered prayers and for all those ones I thought had died but You chose to plant them and water them until a new season in my life.

I will praise You because You are God. You are the I Am. You are everything I need. My lips will continually praise You for being You.

I will find ways to praise You in the morning, in evening, and as people get things that I so desperately wanted.

I will praise You for ALL YOU HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE AND FOR THE MANY BLESSING'S I FORGET ABOUT AND FOR THE LOVE THAT HAS CROSSED MY PATH.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 48

1 Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

His own self. Let's think about this. Is there anyone you love so much you would hang on a tree naked for if it meant their life?

I'm not a taker. I'm not even sure I'd do it for my own kids. Naked? On display for the whole world to see? What if I died and they didn't do anything with their lives it would all be for nothing. Oh, Lord, I'm going to have to think about this.

Am I willing to beaten and all those other horrible things to stand before God and say, "I've finished the work You would have be to do."

Or go to hell and look Satan in the eye and tell him and his demon friends, "It is finished. Go to hell where you belong." That part....maybe.

The other things required, not so much, no. I'd skip town before everything went down. No way! No how! Thank God, Jesus is not me and He still let's me use the force of His strips to tear down sickness in and around me!

Thank you Jesus for looking ahead and seeing what a wimp I would be and be a willing substitute so I didn't have to.

Thank you Jesus, for the stripes that bared it all for me.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 47

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

If you have ever watched the Passion of the Christ you should have the scene where Jesus gets beaten forever scorched on your heart and your mind.

For me, there was no better way to pick the beating the scene. It was gruesome, yet brutally honest and for me, I believe we need to see more of this type of betrayal of Jesus instead of the all googly eyed one.

He was beaten and bruised, and if that wasn't enough, he was then chastised just for me so that I may walk with my Father and for a bonus, He would talk to me and I could talk back to Him and pour out everything in my heart while allowing Him to mend it.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 46

James 5:14-16

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Sickness, really pushes my buttons. I believe different from others. I believe this scripture is for today and not yesterday.

I don't believe we fought a good fight of faith. I believe we live our faith and our faith says we are healed and we confess it as though it was already done and to seal it at the communion table.

Prayer shouldn't be if it's your will but thy will be done. Amen. It's done, it's finished, now let's walk like we are victorious! Rise and shine my sister's and brothers and let's take the kingdom by force!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 45

Jeremiah 6:16

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Stand in God's ways, look back if you need to, get reminded of where you've been but keep on walking. Walk right into the will of God that He has for you today and enter into His rest knowing there isn't anything you can do about yesterday, or the mistakes you've made, or the things you didn't accomplish.

Rest in the knowledge God isn't made at you. Never was. He hasn't been mad at you for over 2000 years and you don't even look that old! The point is. If He wasn't mad at the people after Christ sacrifice, He isn't mad at you today.

He believes you can do it. He believes you will live for Him today. He believes your going to be and do the very best you can for where you are at in your walk with Him.

So go ahead, stand firm in the knowledge of who you are in Christ and your not a failure and have some fun today. Get out there and enjoy the journey. Just remember to rest everyone in a while and take stock of where you've been and where your headed.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 44

Psalm 25:4-5

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

I wait for you Lord to show me your way and the path You have for me for I know You will lead me in truth and never lie to me. I know you will teach me the things I need to learn for Your glory, Lord for you are my salvation.

There is nothing I want more Lord than for You to have a hand in my every day life. There is nothing I want more Lord than for You to speak to me. There is nothing I want more than my Shepherd to lie down with me in the night seasons of my life.

No Lord, I will no longer allow my ways to get in the way of Your ways for they are sooooooooooo much greater than mine. No Lord, I will no longer scream out in pain because I can no longer do the things of this world.

Yes Lord, I will bring my flesh into subjection to You and allow my spirit to rule over my days and my nights.

I will no longer allow the enemy to have a foot hold into my life for if he tries, I will combat him with Your word for it is written Your word will not return void. Yes Lord, I will hold my tongue and say only what you want me to say.

And one day, Lord, I will hear the sound I've long to hear since I was a little girl and meet You in the skies along with the others I have shared Your way to. One day, Lord, together, we will come back in glory and rule and reign together as husband and wife.

Until that day Lord, begin the work you have for me this day.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptues of Encouragement: Day 43

Isaiah 58:11

And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

I hate the wilderness and I'm no go in the dessert but thank God I don't have to stay there. I can quicken my visit by say, "Okay Lord, let me learn what I need to learn in a quick and timely manner. Thank you!"

You would be surprise how He takes your hand and leads and guides me and finally brings me cross my dead sea into a living well that will never run dry, only get stronger in my life.

The living water never lacks what I need and is always willing to flow into my life where ever it finds lack. The living water longs for me to get in line with where it wants to take me. The living water wants me to sit back and enjoy the ride along the way through mud, twist, turns of it's stream.

The living water never goes back but always flows forward bringing me into my destiny and some day, when all the drought has been lifted in my life and I've learned how to flow, the living water will bring me to the shores of my heavenly home where I will thirst no more and forever be by the side of my Savior.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 42

Proverbs 6:20-23

My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. 22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. 23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

The law....more importantly we are no longer under the law...the word of God should be the very thing we think about all the time. We should not forsake it, just devour it, and devour it some more.

The word of God will lead us and guide us. It is amazing what you will find in the Bible. There seems to be (there is) a scripture for every circumstances we may face and if you want to know what happens next, well just turn a few more pages.

The word of God corrects, yet doesn't condemn. If you want condemnation, just go outside and get in the car and go to the local doughnut shop and I'm sure you will get your fill.

The world doesn't need any more people acting like their judges, what they need is people who will love them without forsaking what the bible says about who they are in Christ.

Want to be on the front line? Sign up now, and go grab your manual. You'll need it for the fighting is fierce out here!

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 41

Psalm 48:14

Let me sing it from the mountain tops: AMEN! AMEN! A M E N ! ! ! !

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 40

Titus 3:4-7

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

What more needs to be said? Jesus did it all. He calm the anger of God (if He was really angry, that's still up for debate.) He made the way for the Comforter and Guide to come into our lives and show us the way threw Jesus and His sacrifice and the life He lived on earth.

We should be living in abundance and living as the head and not the tail. We have His mercy and His love, and someone who was willing to take our place in the hot seat of punishment. What more do we need?

Only to the ability to grasp what was given to us and then to live it like it's our last day on earth. When we see who we are in Christ, things will start to shake, and who knows, a revolution just might burst forth.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 39

2 Chronicles 30:9

For if ye turn again unto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

He's waiting. He's waiting for us any time and anywhere. All He ask is that you come back to Him willing to do things His way and your family is going to be blessed along side you. Sure there may be consequences for your actions but I can tell you, they will be merciful and full of compassion and we have the authority where it will not touch our love ones all we have to do is reach out and grab the hand of the one who created us in His own image.

Take a authority over your pass mistakes and pray for crop failure; take a stand and plant yourself on the word of God; watch and see what God does for you. So come on home. We've been waiting for you!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 38

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Thank you Father for going with me where ever I go and never forsake me even when I deserve it.

That should be my prayer everyday, all the time, and in any given situation but it's not. I'm not strong even though people say I am. I don't have any courage, I'm a first class wimp. I go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to wimpiness.

I'm constantly afraid I am going to fail and I'm afraid of what is going to happen because I'm afraid. I'm a mess dressed to meet disaster at it's front door.

God what have you done here? Why am I like the way I am? Why God why? I may not have all the answers to my questions but this one thing I know and need to let a fire burn in my soul and consume the words, "He will not forsake me and He goes with me where ever go in the good days and in the not so good days." He has my hand and thankfully most days, I grab His, and together we walk through this world together.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 37

2 Corinthians 8:9

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

Through His poverty we might be rich. Oh rich in spirit, rich in family, rich in finances....to be whole; nothing broken. Sounds wonderful! I long to be whole but there is only one person who can make me that and it is Jesus Christ but I must be willing to help in the work that needs to be done in me.

99 percent of the time, I get in my way of working out my salvation. I can try to blame it on other people but it's a no-go. It's all me. I can't even blame God. He's done everything He's ever going to need to do by allowing His Son to die on the cross for me and when I get lost and mix up in my emotions and allow myself to blame God for not doing something I want Him to do, then I'm in danger of be disobedient and making a mockery of what He's done for me.

But thank God for His grace and His patience! Without it, I would be nothing and I am nothing. I so want to rely on my Savior for everything and I can say, I'm one step closer today than what I was yesterday.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 36

2 John 1:3

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of the Father and there is nothing but love flowing out of Him. He's our example of truth in this chaos world. There is nothing we need more than the voice of truth to be heard loud and clear as we march forth in the army of the Lord.

In times like these, we need to know when to turn left and when to turn right. We need someone who won't compromise at the first sign of trouble. Most of all we need to learn the love of the Father, Son, and Spirit so we may go out and win the world.

We aren't going to win them by throwing our "religion down their throat" what's going to bring them in when they see harmony between the brethren. Maybe it is about time we greet each other with "Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from the God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love."

Maybe if we acted like we liked each other than throw some love in there, we will begin to walk in the ways of our Father and who knows somewhere down the line, people will fall in right behind us and we can save a city, state, or a country all for the Glory of God.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 35

Ephesians 2:4-5

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

By His grace we are saved and by His mercy we live day after day, and by His love He sees us as clean, umblemished lambs who is waiting for a sherpard to guide them throughout their day.

We were once dead, but now we live because of what Jesus paid for on the cross. When He was on the cross, we were on His mind and He counted it all joy to die for us because He saw what we became.

A lamb, a light in the valley, the salt of the earth, redeemed from sin, overcomers, and rulers to reign with Him.

He did it so mercy could live in abundance in our lives. He gave mercy to show us that His Father was no longer angry at us and our sin couldn't keep Him no longer from looking up on us with forgiveness.

Mercy causes forgiveness and when we forgive, mecy reigns, and a revolution can begin. We need a revolution. We need some changes and it can begin with you and me by pouring out our own mercy on those who need it the most.

When you see someone who does something wrong, show mercy. When someone has hurt you, show mercy, when you've been used and abused, show mercy then step back and watch the power of God go thru you into the hearts of others.

Mercy can start a wildfire that no firefighter or man can contain. We need a wildfire of mercy to sweep across Ameria and into every nation of the world. It's when we begin to love others for who they are instead of what they've done, then God can move.

Let the revolution start today in your heart and as you go about your day, may mercy reign supreme, and pray others pay it forward.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 34

Psalm 62:1

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

He is our salvation. He is the only thing we need and once we accept the fact, there may be times when we need to pause and wait for God to move in our lives or for Him to talk to us.

When we are baby Christians, God seems to move mighty even before we say amen and then we have to grow up and realize we have to mature in the Lord and it's not all about us but it's all about Him and what He wants to do through our lives.

We must be willing to be silent and listen for the still small voice because as we grow closer to Him the softer the voice becomes because He wants us to know Him and His voice through the tough times, the trails the enemy throws our way, and in the darkness of night when all hope is gone but then suddenly, you hear it. Faintly at first and then as you move in His will, the voice will get louder and louder still until you move past your circumstances and you are standing face to face with your Savior as He tells you, "Well done thy good and faithful servant."

God Bless and begin to wait on Him, it will be worth it. It will be a life changing experience. You wait and see.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 33

Philippians 2:13

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

He works in us not to punish us but He enjoys making a masterpiece out of us. He loves to mold us and shape us into what He knows we can be. He dreams big dreams for us. Bigger than what I can dream and I can dream huge.

But the only way my dreams and His dreams for my life can ever match up is if I let Him do the work He wants to do in my life. That means I have to let things drop by the wayside and pick up the cross He wants me to bear.

It may mean giving up a friendship so I can develop my friendship in Him. It may mean I give up television an hour before I normally would to study His word. It may mean I don't talk to someone on the phone like I normally do but I pray and then wait for Him to commune with me what He wants me to know for the day or for the days ahead.

He wants to prepare us for something grander than what we are already living. There is coming a day when He's glory is going to be shone to the world and don't you want to be available to carry it when He begins to pour it out on this world?

The only way to be apart of the front lines is if you let Him do the work He needs to do in your life.
He wants to work through you so others may be affected. Get lined up, the carpenter is calling for His next project He can work on so that His next masterpiece can be seen in you.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 32

Hebrews 13:20-21

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

When you see the word amen, you should get excited. It means it's done, it's finished and it usually follows a promise. An Important promise. It's something you should take a closer look at. Dissect it if you must. Word for word; in your time and in your way.

Look for the important words. Words that will change your life.

He's, God, is made up of peace. He is peace. Nothing upsets Him. Nothing surprises Him. So if He's made up of peace shouldn't we be in peace at all times?

Yes, yes we should but we rarely are. At least me anyway. I wake up and start to fret, and usually, my mind is glad to fall into bed because it's so tired and there are times when I can't let my mind rest because of what happened during the day.

But Jesus Christ paid for my peace and I'm not honoring Him if I don't let peace reign in my life. It's through His blood that I can call upon today, tomorrow, and forever more that will keep me from falling away into the darkness.

I must use His blood to calm the storms of my everyday life and when I do that, I honor what Jesus did for me, I let peace rule, and I am well pleasing to my Father who gets excited because I'm living out the word in my life.

I can do all things, and I can let peace rule, and I can live a life of thankfulness because Jesus reigns big in me.

God Bless.
