100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 100

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

It's been a fun 100 days and I've learned a lot. This is a perfect verse to end on. Nothing needs more to be said.

HE'S OUR REFUGE AND OUR STRENGTH AND HELP IN TIMES OF TROUBLE.

Why? Because He loves you! Trust in Him and you can't go wrong. Let Him lead you and guide you into a special place in Him. Embrace your troubles and brake free into the other side.

You are loved. He has died for you. He gave His word just for you. Live, breath it, and abide in it, and who knows, I just might be your neighbor in eternity!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 99

Psalm 9:9

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

He doesn't forget you. He see's your trouble. He's provided a way out. Take it, read it, brand it into your heart. Trust in it. Rely upon it, and rest in knowing He's all your ever going to need.

No one else on the face of this earth knows what your going through, how you feel, or what you've been through because He has seen your who life pass before Him. He doesn't sleep. He never rest. He's always working things out for your benefit.

He loves you! He's name is the Most High. He's the King of King and Lord of Lords. He's the soon coming King, He's the Messiah. He's the conquerer. He's your guide. He's the Alpha and the Omega. He's the Lover of your soul.

He's Jesus. The Son of God who die just for you. He looked ahead into your future and said, "Lay the burdens on me, Father." He did it all. He loves You!

He'll be your refuge. Test Him and see.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 98

Isaiah 51:12

I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;

Thank You, Father, for You willingness to comfort me. Thank You Father for everything and that I shall be in eternity with You.

Thank You, Father, that I don't fully understand what You are trying to say in this scripture that You will give each person their own interpertation of what You want to tell them in these words.

Bless them, Father, as they read this encouragement day. Remind them that You haven't given them a spirit of fear and remind them of the hope they have in You as they trust in You to bring them through to the other side.

Amen,

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 97

Romans 12:3

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Thank heaven your not God. Better yet, thank heaven's I'm not God. Thank heaven's God is God and He spreads out His grace to reach every last sinner.

Thank Heaven's God is paitent and He doesn't get upset because not everyone is a Kenneth Copeland or a Benny Hinn.

Thank heavens He is willing to meet me and guide me and draw me to Him where I'm at.

Do I long for a greater walk and a higher faith in Him? Of course. I press on towards the mark of my high calling and I work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. If I'm doing that for myself, I don't have time to judge you and if your doing what your suppose to be doing then you don't have time to judge me.

I don't want your trails and tribulations, and you sure as heck don't want mine for they are a handful. I'm not out to make it appear I know or think I'm better than you, I, just like you, is trying (not so good grammer) to just make it and get through my time on earth. (By the way, I'm being raptured. I don't know about you.)

Yeah, I'm no miss know it all, but what I do know is your my brother, or sister, and together, we can agree to move mountains and reap the benefits of eternity with our Savior.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 96

Proverbs 15:3

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

Have you ever thought about how it is possible for Go to see every thing that happens in the world whether it be good or bad?

Because He's all onimotent and He never sleeps or slumpers. Wow, I have a hard time keeping my eyes awake to read my bible and to think God never sleeps and He sees all? Amazing.

It's also amazing how I know this and still do the things I do. After all, God's watching and a cloud of witnesses are watching my ever move too. Its scary how I can pass that thought from my mind. It's even scarier how those thoughts never cross my mind until I've done something I know not to do.

If I really blieved the bible like I do, than I should be aware of His presence in my life at at times. But I'm human, living in this fleshy body who wants its own way and throws a fit when the spiritual man arises within me.

Yep, God sees everything good and evil and strangely that's comforting to me. If He sees the bad, then He sees the good and He sees where I am at in life and what my needs are. More importantly, He sees my heart.

He sees a heart that longs to abide in Him day in and day out, every moment and second of the day. He sees my hurts and the pain words have caused me and the evil that has come my way from satan and his dimionions as well as from people who say they love me.

Indeed, He is the God who takes note of the good and the evil in this world and He's even more concerned about a girl in a small town in Ohio who struggles with life and her sins but yet crys out, "have mercy on me, Father, for I have sinned." And the amazing part is, He sees you right where you at and still calls you by name and commands the angels to protect us and sends the Holy Spirit to lead us into a right relationship with the God of the universe.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 95

Job 42:2

I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Thank heavens He never withholds any good thing for me. It's there for the taken only I have to be willing to take it.

Thank heavens He's the God that can do anything and everything and longs for me to experience the supernatural.

Yes, indeed, nothings withheld en from me from the God who can do anything, I just need to get into the word and let it sink into my heart and let the word brand me with His goodness.

It's an every day relationship with Him just not some days when I feel like it. I'm going to get it together, I've made such progress now, why do I feel the need to stop? Because life gets in my way. Trails and tribulations are around every corner I take.

But thank God, I'm not where I've been in the past and I'm closer in the present, and forever loved by a God who gives out mercies and grace every morning who eagerly waits for me to take my place in Christ and for me to believe He's a good God and everything He owns, I can stake claim in.

Yes, thank heavens He's God and I'm me, a work in progress in knowing that He's a good God and He holds nothing good back from me and He can do so much more than what I can think or dream.

Indeed, God is good...all the time.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 94

Proverbs 14:26

In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

Do you long for a place of refuge? Are you one of His children? Do you fear the Lord in respect of reverencing Him? To you place Him higher than ESPN or the Kardashians?

Do you love Him? Do you call Him your beloved and does He call you His own? Do you tell Him, where You send me I will go?

Do you ask Him to be your Shepard? Do you think of Him as your provider? Do you think of Him as the great I AM?

If you do, then take your place under the shadow of His wing as you allow Him to protect you, guide you, and lead your everyday path.

Walk strong and tall and never loose the fact of who you belong to. Your a chosen vessel being molded into a great treasure and He loves you.

Great is His faithfulness as you walk with Him and as You grow so close to Him. Remember to build yourself in Christ, walk in love, and enjoy the journey as you travel along together working out your salvation.

See ya on the other side where His idea of refuge is for an eternity with Him as the Head of home, tears are no longer needed, and the things of this world will be strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 93

Psalm 2:12

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

As we wrap this up these final days up with the scriptures of encouragement, I think I can honestly say it all boils down to whether or not you trust Him or not.

Are you going to trust Him in the good times as well as in the bad?

Are you going to believe you haven't done anything to make Him angry at you?

Are you going to believe that God isn't mad at you but at the devil for all the times he's came and stolen from you?

Are you going to trust God to make Satan return it until you 70 folds more?

Are you going to believe and trust what God says in His word?

Are you going to believe what He's spoken thousands of years ago still apply to your life?

Are you going to believe and trust that God loves you?

Are you going to trust God that He will never leave you or forsake you?

Are you going to trust God that He will be your Shepard?

Are you going to trust God to lead you down the path He has for you?

Are you going to trust God when He speaks to you and says do this even when it looks like you are going to end up looking crazy?

Are you going to TRUST HIM LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDED UPON IT? BECAUSE SOONER OR LATER, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO CHOOSE WHOM YOUR GOING TO SERVE THIS DAY AND IN THE DAYS AHEAD.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 92

2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

AMEN. All we have to do is live it. This is faith in action and that is what we are called to do. Rebuke fear, live in love, win the battlefield of the mind, and receive the power of the Holy Spirit to go out and win a lost and dying world. You can do it. All things are possible to those who believe.

Fear is a crippling thing and probably one of the worst things we have to battle as Christians. It's all around us. Fear of what others think of us. Fear of failure. Fear I won't do it right. Fear of getting in the way. The list is endless.

Most of the battles with fear are in the mind and we need to take authority over it and allow Satan not have a hay day with it any long. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

The Father, Son, and Spirit will rise up within you when you get tested, and you will be tested to fear, but stand on this scripture, repeat it as often as needed and what as something begins to give birth within you, a spirit of faith. It will arise and burn as strong as in how much you feed it.

So feed your faith with the word, hearing, and repeating it in the times of trouble, and it will have to flee.

Remember, God's not mad at you, He threw all His anger on His Son's body for all the sins of the world so there isn't anything you can fail at that will make Him turn His back on you. He loves you but the only thing He asked for you to do is to take a step and live a life of faith even when you don't think it's working and allow Him a chance to work it out. He will and it will be for your good.

Keep the faith, love much, win the battle of the mind, and walk in power of the Spirit while living a life that is full of adventure, joy, and so much needed peace.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 91

Isaiah 40:28

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Thank heavens that God doesn't faint or gets weary. I don't know about you but I have enough problems happening in my life that will keep God very busy.

Yet, somehow, I find comfort through all my trials that God will always be there for me and is always looking out for me. He will never leave me or forsake me. He has me in the palm of His hand.

There isn't anything that is going to take place in my life that God hasn't already seen taken place and He knows the outcome.

It's quite amazing to me as I sleep, He watches over me and knows what goes bump in the night and what attacks are awaiting me in the early mornings and yet has laid out a plan for me to counter act them and to help bring me through.

Indeed, God is amazing and my understanding of Him is so limited but I'm growing faster, stronger than ever before in my faith and just knowing, God has my back, sends me in a frenzy of joy and into a life worth living because I know who holds my tomorrows.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 90

Matthew 6:8

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Thank You, Father, Your word stands true and I'm standing on the fact and knowledge You know my needs before I ask them.

Father, I also want to thank You for being the supplier of my needs. Your word says that I can ask and You will answer. Thank You, Father.

Thank You for my many blessings You have given me. Thank You for Your wisdom that flows from Your throne to help me in my every day life.

Thank You Father for the Your mercies, the sun, the rain, the world I live in, the town I live in, and for the neighbors and family that surrounds me. Indeed, Father, You knew I would need to be where I am at and be apart of those surrounding me for me to flourish in the knowledge of You.

Thank You for my sins being forgiven and I lay my burdens at Your feet. For Your word says that I am to rest in You and Your burdens are light.

Father, thank You for granting me this moment, this second, the very hour, and day to become more like You and to show the world of Your goodness and love.

Bless You, Father. For You are truly worthy to be praised.

Amen and God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 89

Job 33:26

He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.

I would love to meet Job. He's life is one of fascination. Most of the time, I don't get how He didn't curse God and die after everything that was done to him but Job seemed to know who he was in Christ before Christ was on the scene.

Job prayed to His God, knew he had favor with his maker, and knew God would see Him through to the other side even with his friends chomping his ears off and the whirlwind, and even as God spoke the last few chapters, Job knew he was righteous in God's eyes.

He had faith. He wasn't a people pleaser, he was a God pleaser. He knew the steps to get the big man's attention and went out and did them. He had favor like a shield all around him even as it look like he would die any moment from the boils that were bursting on his body.

He kept the faith, and ran his race, put his trust in the one who could do it all, and prayed and stayed in the centered of God's will and in the end, he was justified.

So here's what it boils down to, we need God's favor, His grace, His mercy and we obtain it by being joyful, prayer, no complaining, watching our words, and most of all putting Him first in all things even when it look like the boils are going to kill us.

Know when the going gets tough, we are at the break through point and we need to listen for His voice in the whirlwind that tells us He has our hands and is going to pull us out and over to the other side and restore our souls once again.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 88

Matthew 11:28

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Do you labor? Are you heavy burdened? Do you need rest? I know there are times when I am and resting seems to be the last thing I want or I think I need.

I cry out to my Lord for deliverance but He seems not to hear me or doesn't act like He wants to answer me. I feel as if He forgets me and all the problems He has me facing.

There are days when I can't seem to put two feet in front of each other. I'm usually a mess nine out of ten times you speak to me and I just mask it.

But somehow I continue to grow. I get a grip and put my face into the word and the word speaks to me. Just like this scripture does. I must need to take it more to heart.

The key is come unto me. Sure I go to Him. I go to Him about my problems and what I don't like about what my family is doing and to complain about what's going on in the world around me. But do I really go to Him?

Do I take the time and listen for His voice? Do I take the time and praise Him for what He's done for me? Do I thank Him for being the great I am? Do I really fellowship with Him?

I have a feeling not as much as I should because if I did, then maybe I pick up my cross a little better and find joy in the trails and tribulations of this world. Maybe if I just go to Him and spend some time with Him like a child spends time with their parent, then talk about my problems I could get from the dessert to land of milk and honey faster.

Come unto me. Probably been the answer I've searched for all my life but not unto the day did I get it. And like Nike says, "Just do it." This has to become the new way of life for me....run, spend time with my Father, and resting in the knowledge that He has plans for me. Plans for goodness and not of evil for He is with me always.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 87

Psalm 18:3

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

I love that song:

I will call upon the Lord,
Who is worthy to be praise,
So shall I be saved from mine enemies
The Lord livith and blessed be my rock,
Blessed be my rock of my salvation.

Who knew singing the scriptures could be so much fun but more than that, so full filling, it residates within your spirit making the words of the scriptures come alive even more.

I want to be saved from mine enemies and I want to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I can call upon my Lord and Savior and He will save me in the times of trouble and the best thing is I can sing Him this very song joyfully, thankfully, and praiseworthy, as He brings me through my trails and brings about the changes I need.

Let's sing the scriptures back to Him today and remember as you do so, you are also calling up Him and touching His heart because He enjoys a joyful noise because He loves you. Here we go:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=je2Vk83kuzg

I will call upon the Lord
Who is worthy to be praised
So shall I be saved from my enemies
The Lord liveth and blessed be the rock
And let the God of my salvation be exalted

100 Days of Sciptures of Encouragement: Day 86

John 14:14

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

If you ask anything in His name, He will do it! Wow what a thought and what an encouragement.

We have to ask for what we want what a novel idea, just like children. They have no problem asking for what they want and they expect to recieve it, no questions asked.

Maybe this is why Jesus says we are to become like children. We definetly can learn a lot from them. As for me in this life as an adult, I go to God with, "God didn't you see what happen? Why God why?" Well I can assure you, this never got me anywhere and with little answers to boot.

But when I've come and said, "Father, I want a change in this situation. I want Johnny, and Jimmy, and Paul's heart turned toward You and for the glory of Your kingdom." Then I've moved the heart of God.

I've gone into the throne room with a heart of honor, and a spirit of thanksgiving, not for the problem and an attitude of somebody done somebody wrong, then I have the attention of not only my heavenly High Priest, but also the God of the Universe who's only desire is to have a family and a relationship with each and every person.

The problem then becomes mine because the answer might not happen in the time frame I think it should but the answer to my prayer has been sealed in heaven and it's my job to sit back and wait for the manifestation of an answered prayer.

It will work for anything. Stop your complaing, your begging, and begin a prayer life of thanksgiving, honor, and a determination that your prayer life is going to be a faith based with you asking mighty things from the Lord and see what He will do for you.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 85

Matthew 6:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Take no thought for the morrow. Yeah, okay. Has God not seen what the world is like today? Yes, yes he has and He still says to take no thought for the morrow for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself, meaning it will take care of itself and it will have thoughts of its own and they maybe different then today's.

When we dwell on the tomorrows we miss out on the today's and what all it may hold. Today maybe the very day you need for your breakthrough and you've missed it by worring about what is going to happen tomorrow.

I'm no saint here. I have a hard time not thing about tomorrow when my world has just crashed in around me today. I think to myself didn't God know I was a multi-tasking person? Of course He did. that's why He told me to think of only today. He was trying to save me from future unnecessary grief that I have setup for myself.

When I worry about tomorrow, I can't sleep well, and my mood and attitude is greatly effected. I bark at everyone and want to scream doesn't anyone see where this is leading but me? Yeah, this is no good for me.

I have to be real and realize I can only do so much and that is to deal with today. My family is very thankful when I focus on one day at a time. It goes much better with us as a family at hold.

I'm not stupid and blind not to see what is happening all around me and what's happening in the world today, I just choose to live in the moment and in the end, I'm a happier, secured, faithful person for it.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 84

Psalm 147:11

The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Fear of the Lord again....someone really needs to do a study on the subject.

However, I know when you respect and honor God, He will move heaven and earth for you. When you fear, aka reverance Him the way He should be, is it any wonder He will take pleasure in you? He knows He has your heart.

When your heart belongs to you it will only bring you closer to Him and looses the power for Him to move on you behave.

Just know, there isn't anything you can do that His mercy won't cover. There isn't anything you can do that can turn His mercy away. His words says, that His mercy is new every morning, and if you got up this morning then your living the dream of His mercy.

But when your living right with Him and have a relationship with Him, then His mercy is just one more added benefit that you can call upon in your time of need.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragemen: Day 83

Psalm 31:14

But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God.

In recent days, I've had all reason's to not trust in my God. There has been so many things that have come up against me and my family that there are times I feel I can't breath.

I now know as a mature Christian, something is about to shift in my life and bring me to a new level in my walk with God and all I need to do is trust He will bring it to pass.

See, it's just not about me, it's about my family, it's about my extented family, it's about my friends and neighbors, it's about my community, it's about my state, and even more importantly, it's about my nation.

Trust, if I don't start with trusting God that He has my family in the palm of His hand, how can I ever beleive Him to change this nation around?

I'm going to stand before God one day and I'll be judged by the level of trust and faith I had in Him and my prayer is that He will find my faithful even when it seems the very last breath was being sucked right out of me.

This world is CRAZY! Trusting in Him is the only way I'm going to get through it and on my way from glory to glory, I tell my Father, that indeed He is my God!

And my hope is that you will, "Trust in thee for thou art your God"

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 82

Isaiah 43:2

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

He's it. He's all we will ever need. He's the truth, the life, and the way. His words above are a lamp unto our feet meant to show us the way back to the Father.

He won't leave you. He won't forsake you. He will stick closer to you than a brother.

He's paid the price for you, all you have to do is call upon Him and believe.

He's our High Priest praying for you and me.

He's the soon coming King.

He will be the last ruler the world will ever know.

He's talking to you and to me every moment, and every second of the day. He's telling you there's nothing you will go through, He won't see you through. He will never give you more than you can bare even if you see the water rising higher like never before.

The heat of life will never be too much for Him that He won't come and find you in the place your at in life. There isn't anywhere you can't hide that He won't come and find you to bring Him back to where you belong.

He loves you. He needs you. He wants to be everything you ever needed. Just walk with Him. He especially likes walks through gardens. They are His specialty.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 81

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Prayer. The answer to everything under the sun. It's done through several different ways and methods but always meant to have the same results, change.

If I don't ask for change, I won't change and why should I get mad and expect something different if I don't have the courage to ask for something then I only have myself to blame.

If nothing is going well in my life, it's my fault because I haven't prayed, laid my heart out to my Father, and then lived a life of expectation.

I must remember that His way is light and I'm the one who makes it hard by not talking to my God about moving my mountain with the help of His hands.

Yep, prayer can do a wonder for me and my family as well as move me into a deeper relationship with my high priest who has already paid the price and is patiently waiting for me to talk to Him about my day, even the little things that get my blood a pumping.

Prayer. The answer to everything under the sun. Try and see how the Son will rise up big in your life.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 80

Psalm 55:22

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

I carry to much. I carry things deep inside me with the thought that I will be able to make things right someday on my own, without any help from anyone. It rarely works out the way I want it to. Usually when I try to do something on my own, I find that I'm usually picking myself up off the ground. I'm no good at solving problems that are mine to solve.

What I need to do and what I do not nearly often enough is hand it over. Hand the burdens of life off the other member of my team. The only member who can do anything about the situation.

If I want God to move in my life, it's time to start giving Him everything, leaving no stone unturned. I've got to believe He can handle it. Something tells me He can and has for thousands of years before I ever came along.

Who do I think I am for shutting the door on the person who wants to be more apart of my life than even I do. I'm stubborn, prideful, fearful, afraid of failure, and waverer way to much.

Life is short and there is a job for me to do and if I want to leave a legacy and do a job I'm called to do, then I can't deal with the petty things of life, I have to hand it over to the player who promises me that He will stick closer than a brother. A friend who will never forsake me and who has only goodness in His heart towards me. Someone that truly loves me.

So Lord, here's my burdens, I lay them down, and pick up the plan You have for me and I will continue to grow from glory to glory until one day, we are face to face.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement:Day 79

Matthew 6:25-26

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Yeah, OK, these scriptures are hard to do. Take no thought. There isn't a time of day I'm not thinking about one of these things on this list. But I know that I'm required to do so, and who knows in the future we won't be like the Israelites who were in the dessert and experienced the ravens feeding them.

If something were to happen in this day and age to computers, this scripture just might be the one that saves our lives. But to take it to today's timeline, I know I'm to look at only today and what goodness it has in store for me.

I know I'm to look at the goodness of it all and who holds the world in the palm of His hands. I know what to do and my world becomes total chaos when I stray from the path of His word. So Lord, here I am, a person who lives in a dying world who sees darkness all around her and wonders to herself, have You forsaken me? I know I look ahead and don't like what I see. I know I'm a waverer but Lord, that's the flesh and what the eyes behold.

My spirit man longs to have faith like Peter who walked on water. I long for a walk like Elijah who could call fire down from the sky and then was fed by ravens. Lord I want to walk into what You have for me today and not tomorrows.

I want to be the one when You look across this world that You will find me faithful in the little things. I want to be a worshiper who worships You in spirit and in truth no matter what happens around me.

I long to be able to say, Not my will Father, but thine be done. I want to be the very person You talk about in the scripture in humbling myself and pray so You will return and heal America to the former glory.

Lord, I want to see Your glory but I know that won't happen if I can't do what you tell me to do and it starts with by not worrying about today. I should learn to give over my burdens to You and take up my cross and set out and win a dying world for Your kingdom. I should let the foolishness of this world fall by the wayside and follow you and become so close to You that the very dust from Your feet covers mine and listen in the wind as every day when I lay down to go to sleep, I don't have to wait to hear well done thy faithful servant for you were ruler over the little things, I will make you ruler over much just keep coming towards Me.

Yeah, that's my prayer to my Lord and Savior. Amen.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 78

Proverbs 2:3-5

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Here it is again. The fear of the Lord. I swear I'm going to do a study on the topic. It hasn't been up until recently that doing a study even thrilled me. In fact, the thought of doing a independent study on a word or a topic sent me running for the hills. I didn't want anything to do with it.

But this topic, the fear of the Lord, seems to be important. It's mentioned umpteen times in the bible. It's like there's a clue about how to live life in the subject matter. The word tells us the fear of the Lord brings about understanding and the knowledge about God.

And if we don't have those things, and if we're looking, it tells us to start fearing the Lord. I don't want any more fear in my life, I want to learn about the goodness of God. For He says, "it is good, " an awful lot in the bible.

So if He's good, won't this be something we should be meditating on? Maybe that's were we miss it in life, we are so focused on the bad and thinking we have to bind up, cast up and shape up the devil and his dominions that we loose sight of what matter's and who matters.

If God says we need to fear Him, than I think we should start looking into His goodness to get a clue. What could it hurt if we leave satan behind us where he belongs and look towards the prize of knowing our God and what He's already done for us, and what He wants to do for us, and what the future holds for all those who believe.

Believe what? On His Son, no doubt but as well as believes He is good. He's probably looking down right now on His throne wishing someone would get it and begin to believe that He loves us and want to bring only good into our future because He has a plan for us.

Yes, I don't know about you, but it's worth a shot to look into this goodness stuff because like I said, I've tasted the bad and it stinks to the core. I want to taste of Him and see if He's not good and watch as life begins to bloom new leaves and sprouts joy and happiness into the lives of others.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 77

James 1:6

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

I don't know about you but this scripture speaks to me. I waver in my faith. Just last night I told the Lord to forgive me for my lukewarmness. But things are tough in this world right now and it really looks like this world is going to Hell in a hand basket more and more every day.

Things are getting tighter, and the fight is growing harder just to maintain some form of insanity. Crazy things seem to be around every corner. Nothing is safe any more and what used to be fine in the days past is no longer.

What used to be safe to eat and do can now kill you in a heartbeat. Indeed, this world is headed to Hell. When all these things I see are happening around me and are effecting me and my family, I seem to wonder if I have any faith left and if there is some left, it wants to pick up and head off to parts unknown.

Yes, I'm weak in my faith, although some say I'm the strongest person they ever seen. Obviously, they didn't see me cry myself to sleep last night with "Why God why?" being the last thing on my lips.

I hate to waver. I know when I'm waiving and I know it's not pleasing to the man who sits on the throne. Maybe I'm correct when I hear, Jan write this scripture down and meditate on it day and night. I wonder what might happen. Maybe my eyes will become focused on what God is saying through this scripture that I forget the problems that I face every day.

Who wants to be known as the person who wavers all the time. I know I don't. So I will kick my butt in gear and begin doing what the word tells me to. After all what do I have to loose? Just may the words I've longed to hear, "Well done the good and faithful servant." So it looks like a need to give this faith stuff a chance and build myself up a little more. Who's with me?

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 76

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

The fear of the Lord. Wow. What a subject and too broad to talk about here but what I do want to say is that the fear of the Lord isn't about being afraid of Him but instead it's about reverencing Him. Thanking Him for just being Him. Acknowledging who He is and what He can do for your life. It's all about Him.

When we decide to forget about us and think on Him and His goodness, we will see some changes in our lives. I know I have begun to do just that. Instead of looking at all my problems, I look to Him and begin to praise Him for clearing out the problems in front of me.

I thank Him for all that He's meant to my life, and in my families lives. I have begun to turn my focus from what He could do for me and to look what He's already done. I've also noticed that when I focus my attention on Him, I am saying and showing how much I love Him. Has all my problem gone away? No, but that's where faith comes into effect. You know, speak those things into existence. Well what I do know is that I feel better about myself and life so something must work.

All I know is that in the end, what can it hurt? If it doesn't work out, well then I'm no less worse off than before but if thanking Him and putting Him first brings about change, then I'm all for it. So we will see, if I'm on the right track where the fear of the Lord is concerned. It's an experiment I'm willing to take apart in.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 75

Isaiah 42:1

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

The Holy Spirit. He's kind of scary. You really don't know much about Him, but you've seen what He can do all through the bible yet I find myself having a hard time experiencing Him at an intimate level.

It's all my fault not for His lack of trying. I hear His voice and I listen most times but when He calls me to come nearer, I panic and if I don't want to be judged by Him or lose what I have in Christ, I had better be a willing participate in what He has to say about my life.

I don't want to grieve Him, I just don't understand all the things about Him. I know He's power and I want power. I know He's my victory and I want victory. I know He's my friend and I could sure use a friend right now. I know in fact, He's all I need yet, He scares me.

He tells me there's a price to be paid if I want more of the things of God and that is what scares me the most...I don't want to give anything up. I want more of God, I'm not sure of the price I'm willing to pay.

It's a good thing, that all I have to worry about is today and tomorrow will take care of itself so as far as today is concern: Lead me Holy Spirit, I'm a willing vessel. Check back in with me tomorrow.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 74

Proverbs 9:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Oh how I need wisdom. I need it almost every day, every hour, and definitely in every season.

Lord God, I need your wisdom in my life. Without wisdom, I can't survive a moment in this crazy world. So Father, just like Solomon, I'm asking for wisdom above all us. Wisdom in my finances, in raising my kids, in my marriage, in every area of my life and most of all wisdom to so I know it's You that's talking and not something of my own making.

Thank You, Father, that You even want to bestow Your wisdom on a sinner like me. With everything in me, Lord, I want to know when to move and when to stay firmly planted. Thank You, Father, that as Your wisdom grows in me, so does the fear of You.

The godly fear that makes me want to turn from my wicked ways and obtain a clean heart and hands for You want to use me and use the people of this world to show and tell of Your goodness that is forever more.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 73

Ecclesiastes 2:26

For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

God is the one who gives us wisdom and knowledge and joy...what we do with it is our problem. When we are in the eye of the storm, we can fall back on these things and they will get us to the other side.

We need to laugh more. There is soooooooooooooo much to laugh at, the problem is we need to take the time.

We need to have knowledge of things, but sometimes, the knowledge gets in the way of living. We live our lives off of knowledge of someone else instead of the knowledge we learned for ourselves.

We need wisdom to even to make it through a day some times. For me, I need wisdom when I go to the grocery store. Everything is so outrageous anymore, I need wisdom to figure out how I'm going to feed a family of four for a week with only a $120 and when I call upon His wisdom, He leads me to sales that are beyond my comprehension and I'm able to get above and beyond what I thought possible.

Yes, wisdom, knowledge, and laughter are the key ingredients we need for a long and healthy life that is full of God's goodness, favor, and mercy.

We can become overcomes just by doing what the word says, so laugh at yourself today. Have a little talk with Jesus about where He wants your feet to tread upon, and live in the knowledge that it's all going to be good and for a higher purpose and no one can live your life like you can.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 72

Psalm 121:2-8

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Thank heaven God never sleeps! If He did, we may all be in trouble. Who knows what kind of disasters might happen. We don't need any more.

However what we do need is someone who is willing to stay awake and care for a lost and dying world. One who see someone in China while someone on the other side of the world sleeps. He's willing and able to hear all the cries of the people's hearts and I have a hard time listening to my family let alone the whole world.

But like the song says, He's got the whole wide world in His hands!

Thank You Jesus! And thanks for ALL You do Lord even when we can't see it or hear it, but our hearts and spirits are alive because of it.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scirptures of Encouragement: Day 71

Psalm 91:1-16

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Hard to mess with a good thing. Nothing to say but Amen and Amen and I will believe and stand on these words until Jesus comes back.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 70

1 Kings 8:23

And he said, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

He keeps His convant's and shows His mercy with the rising of the sun. Great is His faithfulness. With each passing day, He shows His children His love for them as well as for the ones who are walking along the hi-ways and the by-ways.

Thank You, Lord. May we grow up and do our part in Your grand sceem of things by believing on You, sharing You with others, and taking these promises to heart so when the storm hits, we can cross over to the other side without harm coming upon us.

Oh, God, You are such a great and awesome God. All we have to do is grasp it, walk in it, and be seen not through our own eyes but through Yours.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 69

Psalm 32:7

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Oh Lord, hide me in Your secret place. Preserve me and my family from trouble. Deliver me, Oh, God. This world is crazy and I'd be a fool to be without you.

Keep me from trouble when I can't seem to keep from it. Give me Your wisdom to fight off all attacks of the enemy. Give me Your wisdom to show me where all the open doors are so I may close them and stop the enemy from coming into my camp and wiping me out.

Make me strong in You, Lord and when I'm ready, release me to be the warrior and soldier you've trained me to be. Let me trust in knowing You are everything I need to be an over comer.

Thank you that You hide paths that would deter me from my mission in life and thank you that You walk with me along the ones You want me to take.

Thank You for hearing the cries of my heart and are keeping them safe until You can wipe them away for good.

Indeed I need to take time and pause for great is thy gratefulness who has brought me to this day and time for a reason and a purpose. All glory, honor, and praise goes to You, my Father who art in Heaven.

May Your will be done in heaven as well as here on earth and let it start with me. Thank You, Lord for all You have given me and for hiding me when I needed somewhere to go from the storm. Thank You, Lord, I now see the light beyond the tunnel.

You are good all the times and You will defeat mine enemies. Like a mother with her children, I rise up and call You blessed. Blessed are You, Oh, Lord Our God who is Creator of the Universe, who is Lord of Lord and King of Kings. Who was, and is, and still to come. Your the lion of Judah, the Lamb for all. My healer, and most of all, my Friend.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 68

Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Everything and everyone can disappear but God won't. He will keep His goodness acoming. He will show you mercy every morning. Why? Because He loves you and He wants you to be apart of His family.

He wants you to grow in Him. He wants you to experience a better way of life. He wants to become such a big part of your life that you forget about everything else except for Him. He wants to use you. He wants to send you to the end of the earth to declare the goodness of who He is.

He wants you to walk on streets of gold. He wants you at His supper table. He wants you to wear a crown and robe. He wants you healed. He wants you dive deeper into Him. He wants to be your friend. He wants you to ride beside Him as He comes back and takes care of this world.

He wants you to help defend Israel, His homeland. He wants to spread His power and fire to all who will listen. He wants to change a town, a nation, and even the world. That's why He will show His goodness to you and give you mercy where there is none that is deserved.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 67

Psalm 119:26

I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

He has declared His ways and if we let Him, He will teach us His statues. We must be a willing vessel. We must let the Holy Spirit do it's thing. He can't do it without us nor will He cram it down our throats even if we deserve if.

He's a gentleman who has already fulfilled His end of the bargain. All we have to do is pick up and do our part. We must stand firmly on the word, live it, breathe it, and then live it some more.

There isn't anything He's forgotten tell us about. There isn't anything that is going to surprise Him. He knows it all and that is why He's given it all.

We must cry out for the truth to be known in our lives. We can no longer settle for falseness. We have to get back to the basics and learn it for ourselves.

Open the word and find out what He has for you. See what kind of adventure awaits for you today and in the days to come. I can assure you, you will not be bored but you will be stronger than yesterday.

Your mind will become clearer and the Holy Spirit will be come your friend. In fact He will become the only friend you may ever need. He will lead and guide you. Walk and talk with you while He tells you, you are His own.

Get to know Him today. See where He takes you. He's only a call away and He's eager to become your teacher so you may find out what your Creator already knew, you are wonderful in His eyes and He has paid a price for your life, and He'd do it all over again even if you were the only person on earth.

You are valuable to Him. His ways aren't ways to harm you but to give you a future. Go ahead, I dare you learn of Him because He's already declared His love for you for the world and Satan to hear. Can't you hear His calling? I can. Excuse me. My master is calling my name.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 66

Isaiah 26:3

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Here's the secret for a success for life here on earth, TRUST. We have to do it all the time. Trust is the key essential to everything on earth. We have to trust the people we love. We have to trust ourselves, we trust in GPS, cars, microwaves, ovens, washers and dryers. We trust friends will be who they say they will be.

So it's all about trust, without it, our worlds are upside down and inside out! So if it's so easy to trust in things we see how much more is it rewarding to trust in things that seems untouchable and out of our reach.

More importantly, why do we have such a problem trusting in the one who created us and gives us life? For when we do, we know good things are in store and most of all, our minds loose the battle for our souls.

Trust is everything yet often overlooked or even ignored, and sometimes forgotten, but thank heaven, He hasn't forgotten about it. For everyday that we wake up, He has trust and faith in us that we will come to Him and make Him Lord of our lives and when we do, His peace is like a mighty river that flows over the darkest spots of our lives and will rage on until we become over comers in Him.

Yes, His peace is everything we will ever need for any kind of storm that comes all our ways and the only thing we have to do, is trust that He will provide it.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 65

Psalm 29:11

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

Thank God, He promises His strength to us and give us peace. Who dosn't need a little peace in their lives now a days? I know I do.

There is so much junk going on in this world it makes it hard to keep up with unlike the Kardashians. I know there isn't hardly a day that goes by where something tries to sneek into my home and break me down.

It's His strength I draw from and find peace. This world is going to hell in a handbasket and I'm sure in the days ahead it won't be any easier. Shoot, I have two kids who faces a whole lot more things than I did and if that was the only thing I faced than His strength and peace would still be needed.

I live in the real world and as far as I can see peace and strength is whatcha gotta have and if your like me, the only kind to have is the one that's given from above because all others will leave you crying in duststorm it came in on.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 64

1 Corinthians 15:57

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

All glory and honor belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ because of what He has done for us. Without Him, this world would be in a much worst state than it already is.

The problem is I sometimes forget to be thankful. Sometimes I forget to give Him thanks for all that He has done. Sometimes, I don't acknowledge Him at all. But I must begin.

I must become consistent in my thanksgiving. If I need a reason to be thankful when I wake up all I have to do is look around me and see the many blessing He's poured out on my life.

I am married to a wonderful man, two kids, a home to live in, and I still live in the greatest country on earth. If I don't see anything to be thankful for just in these lines, than something is vitally wrong with me.

I must give Him the praise for who He is before I ask for anything. I must acknowledge who has given me everything I love and care for. I must give thanks to the One who is ever thing I need. The great I am. The beginning and the ending. My creator, my redeemer for if I don't, than the rocks and the hills will do it for me.

God help us to remember Him before we remember ourselves.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 63

Psalm 94:19

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

He promises us He will comfort us. Thank heaven. Without His comfort I am not sure where I would be as a person.

I have all kinds of battles with my mind and most of the time I win but there are just some days when it comes at me full force and I loose it. Just momentarily because something deep within me begins to cry out and gives me the courage to go on and speaks words that brings me up and out of the pit and immediately I'm alive and kickin' again, ready to take on my next assignment.

If it weren't for God, where would I be? I'd be on a slow boat to hell right now although kicking and fighting my sentence but I'd still be going.

So thank You, Father, for going down in the depths of my pit, and setting me on a sturdy ground where I can be changed, renewed, and an over comer because I know where my help comes from.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 62

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

I want to be a tree planted by the water, with deep roots in Jesus and I want to be able to stand in heat where others may fall. I want to bear fruit. I want to leave a legacy for the world to see.

I want to be known for not backing down or giving up or withering under the heat of a storm. I want to stand tall for my savior, after all isn't it the least thing I could do seeing all what He has done for me?

It's just a small price but I imagine the rewards will be great as I walk the streets of heaven and I'm ushered into the heavenly throne room to have a one on one time like never before. But first things first, I must live in this world and this world sucks.

It's full of trials and all sorts of uglyness. I'm barely keeping my head above water. One day at a time, I'm beginning to see myself become the tree that is standing firm with deep roots, my leaves has started to sprout a little fruit and I'm beginning to become the willing vessel God has long awaited for me to become.

If I can do it, so can you. Just remember, it's starts with the little things before the big things begin to grow.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 61

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Peace, His peace He left down here on earth. How do you find it? The Holy Spirit will guide you to it and show you how to live it.

We should not be living under any pressure, giving in to worry, or be troubled about anything. Yet we are human or at least I am.

It's when I'm living by the Spirit that He tells me to cast all my cares on the one who died for them. It's when I'm living by the Spirit that He tells me I'm more than a conquer and it's my job to believe it and then live by it.

It's all about living by the Spirit. He's where it's all at. He will give us what we need to get through the day. He won't give us more than what we can handle. He prompts us with scriptures to be spoken out, He gives us rest for our weary heads, and He speaks to us about things we need yet to get rid of to overcome the battle and be victorious.

Most of all, He's peace and when we are living in the Spirit, we are living the very heartbeat of the Holy Spirit....Peace.

We can't survive without it. We won't make it back from the battlefield without knowing we have it, and most of all, we can't spend eternity without knowing what it can do for us. Awe, the wonderful world of peace.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 60

Isaiah 55:12

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

It's all about joy! Joy! Joy! Joy! It's about having a good time. It's abut loving and living life! It's about enjoying others and the scene around you.

God looks down on us with Joy. So if He does that shouldn't we do the same? So go, spread some joy today and guess what, the mountains and the hills will be your backup singers!!!!

How cool is that! For the mountains and the hills already sing their praises to their Creator. Shouldn't we follow suit? Go sing a song and enjoy your journey and the life you are living today, do it quick because your backup singers just might do it for ya and then you will become their backup.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 59

Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

In His presence is fullness of joy. At His right hand is pleasures for evermore. If pleasures are on His right hand what is on His left?

I think I'm getting the bigger picture here. He wants me to enjoy my family, my life, where I am right at this moment in time, but most of all enjoy having a relationship with Him.

He wants me to know without a shadow of a doubt He's going to show me the path He wants me to take and all I have to do is just follow it because at the end pleasures for evermore awaits me.

Yeah, this is something I could get use to.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scripture of Encouragement: Day 58

Isaiah 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

The garment of salvation. It's all we need. Thank you Jesus.

Yet He gives me a robe of righteousness because I'm on a path to working out my own salvation and standing on His word, living it day by day, and I'm sharing His ways to others through His love and not my own because my own love gets me into trouble and I don't see people how God sees them.

He's going to be my bridegroom? And I'm going to be a bride with all sorts of jewels? I pray so. I know some have to be guest at the wedding while others take part of the actual ceremony. I have to wonder if this is where the scripture without spot or winkle comes in? Have I let anything unpleasing into my life without putting it under the blood of the lamb? Do I know and cherish Jesus as my bridegroom? Do I follow His ways and do things for Him because I love Him like I love my earthly husband? It is yet to be determine.

One thing I know, is today, and in the days to come, I'm going to rejoice with my Lord, and be joyful for all the things He has done for me and rejoice and be full of joy in each new level He takes me and finally ponder how my Bridegroom is going to be ruler over everything that is yet to come.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 57

Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Are there certain days that are holy unto your God? Do you and God have special days that meaningful between you and Him? Are there day's when nothing gets under your skin because of  certain day?

For me it's the birth of my son, it's the day my father died, or the day when I came home and acknowledge who He was, is and going to be in my life.

These are they days that when things come at you, you can shove things and people aside and say, "Go your way, do you thing because there ain't nothing you say or do that is going to effect me this day because today, is a holy day for me and my Father.

Nothing your going throw at me is going to get me down because I know where my joy and strength come from."

Knowing where the joy of the Lord is your strength is not only good for your holy days but in every day. When you rely on His joy, just maybe, the holy days between you and your God will be everyday instead of certain days on the calendar.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement:Day 56

Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Ghost. I don't know about you, but there are times that just the thought of the Holy Ghost scares me. Not in a ghostly way but where He wants to take me which is usually, higher, deeper, and my lonelier than ever before.

There's a price to be paid to truly follow the Holy Ghost and I'm not sure I do Him justice. I squirm, and protest and sometimes tell Him flat out NO!

When He calls me to go deeper, its usually in a way that is totally unknown for me. I've never walked that way before. It's the fear of the unknown and I can become the most stubborn person on the planet by just saying, "Not today, catch me on the flip side tomorrow." And when tomorrow comes, it's the same thing and before long, I forget all about what He wants me to do.

When I do this, I begin to slip and get negative, and things start to fall apart and when I question I always am lead back to the first day the Holy Ghost said come with me on this adventure. I have no choice then because my life is usually a mess.

If I would just listen in the first place, things would be soooooooooooooooooooo much different. I'm getting strong and one of these days, it will be automatic Yes Lord.

But thank God, He still has faith in me and still fills me with joy and peace and never leaves me and still willing to give me hope for tomorrow. Yes, that Holy Ghost is indeed someone kind of special.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 55

Psalm 33:20-22

Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

According as we hope in thee. In these day in age, I pray I have a lot of hope in the Lord for I need all the mercy I can get. I am so thankful it's new every morning but this scripture at the end talks about according as we hope so there must be levels of hope as well as mercy.

I don't mean to be selfish here, but I want the top of the line level of mercy there is. I want mercy for not only me and my mistakes but for my family as well. Did I mention I am beginning to see people in a different light? There are often times, I walk down the street and I see someone and I immediately think, Father, have mercy on them, they don't know what they are doing.

We have to get the heart of the Father, and the Father's heart is people. He wants a large family and the only way He's going to have it is through us. He's done every thing He's going to do by giving us Jesus and He puts the rest of the assignment on us.

No wonder we need mercy. There are a lot of people in this world and some are batty than others and so not so much but they still need love anyway. So we must start out and begin to win the lost. Go into the highways and byways and leave everything else at home and at God's feet where He tells us to drop it anyway.

We shouldn't be in such a hurry either. He will guide us to the right people and situations He wants us in. Maybe this is where the first part of the scripture comes in. To tell you the truth, I think we can sum up our lives like this: We wait. We know God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is our help and will protect us in every situation. We must remain joyful and rejoice in all things to get us through some of these days where everything goes wrong. And we must trust in Him at all times and in all things.

I have to wonder, when we put it all together and do what the scripture says, did we just earn a level of mercy to get us through the bigger storm that is on the horizon.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 54

1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Blessed be the God and Father....wow, what a powerful statement there! It is unheard of now-a-days to bless the Father for anything.

I did a little research and what I've come up with is the pioneers of this great country put God first in everything and before everything. When they woke, it was bless the Father for allowing them to make it through the night.

They took nothing for granted and in everything was grateful and they knew how to bless their Father who art in heaven. They knew of and experienced His great mercy. They knew where to put their hope and trust in after all, there was a brand new world to discover.

They didn't allow anything to deter them from their God and their Savior. In fact, a personal relationship with the Christ is still evident today in how they setup this country. Without their walk and the blessing of God behind them, who knows what America would be like today.

Do you think God is done with His people because of all the fore fathers being gone? Not at all. We are suppose to be the last generation. The greatest generation. The generation that has the most knowledge of who God and Jesus is. We are suppose to be walking in the power of the Spirit. Sadly, I don't see much of that happening.

You think we, His children have take Him by surprise? I don't think so. I think He has something up His sleeve and like the scripture says, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

That's us! His church. His bride! He has hidden us away until Himself until He is ready to reveal us to the world without spot or winkle for a mighty outpouring of His glory. So great ready, there's a shift in the air and God is about to move!!

Do it now Lord! Show me Your glory!!!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 53

Psalm 62:5-6

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.

This is my poem for my God. No I did not write it. No I am not committing no crime for coping it. I have permission from the author to reuse it and to personalize it to fit my life.

I will not be moved from my opinion of my God for He is my rock and He's saved me when I thought I was going down for the count. No need to get a defense attorney because He's always on my side for He created me uniquely in my mother's womb and He promises me He will be my judge and defender in trouble times and when life throws me curve balls and people are ignorant of the things they do and say.

I will wait for Him to direct me in all my ways even if it takes minutes, hours, days, months, or years. I will be silent when others around me run their mouths and give me their opinions on things they know nothing about.

Why? For He alone is my God and I love Him.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 52

John 14:1-4

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b] 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Everyone has a favorite scripture and these scriptures used to be my grandfather's favorite. He quoted it often and then tell me about what His place looked like and where it maybe located.

I don't care. All I want is for the rapture to come to take me and my family and the other people God has sent across my path away. Maybe when we get there, we can go together and inspect my grandfather's mansion but I have a feeling, my first stop after seeing the family that has gone before me is for me to face my Savior and King.

If that wasn't enough, I may be too busy bowing at Jesus feet chanting along side the angels. Whatever the case may be, I will have eternity to find the special place Jesus made for me and my grandfather because He's a carpenter who loved enough to die and then rise and then return just for me!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 51

Revelation 21:10-21

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

Can you hear her calling you? Heaven. It's going to be amazing! I can't wait. Go ahead, reread the passage again and find out for yourself what it is going to be like when this world is far behind us.

Who knew streets of gold could get someone so excited not to mention all the cool accessories that comes with it!

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 50

Ephesians 2:6-7

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

We (you and me, yeah that's right, you and me) are seated with Jesus. I know you don't see the chair beside Him, well neither do I but I have faith I am so that makes it so. Yep, it's a done deal. I'm sitting in a royal chair that has my name on it. Your my neighbor (nice to meet you by the way) together, we sit back enjoy a meal, and settle in for the entertainment.

I think it's a movie. A movie the is far better than anything we ever seen before and you know something else? We have a eternity to see it and then we get to live it. What could be better than that?

I don't know about you but I say, "Lights, camera's, and action," and maybe add, "where's the popcorn?"

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 49

Jeremiah 17:14

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

I will praise You Lord for healing me even when I don't see the fruit of it but knowing by my faith and my tongue and trust in You it will be done.

I will praise You Lord for saving me even when I didn't know I needed to be saved and lived a life not pleasing to You.

I will praise You Lord for my answered prayers and for all those ones I thought had died but You chose to plant them and water them until a new season in my life.

I will praise You because You are God. You are the I Am. You are everything I need. My lips will continually praise You for being You.

I will find ways to praise You in the morning, in evening, and as people get things that I so desperately wanted.

I will praise You for ALL YOU HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE AND FOR THE MANY BLESSING'S I FORGET ABOUT AND FOR THE LOVE THAT HAS CROSSED MY PATH.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 48

1 Peter 2:24

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

His own self. Let's think about this. Is there anyone you love so much you would hang on a tree naked for if it meant their life?

I'm not a taker. I'm not even sure I'd do it for my own kids. Naked? On display for the whole world to see? What if I died and they didn't do anything with their lives it would all be for nothing. Oh, Lord, I'm going to have to think about this.

Am I willing to beaten and all those other horrible things to stand before God and say, "I've finished the work You would have be to do."

Or go to hell and look Satan in the eye and tell him and his demon friends, "It is finished. Go to hell where you belong." That part....maybe.

The other things required, not so much, no. I'd skip town before everything went down. No way! No how! Thank God, Jesus is not me and He still let's me use the force of His strips to tear down sickness in and around me!

Thank you Jesus for looking ahead and seeing what a wimp I would be and be a willing substitute so I didn't have to.

Thank you Jesus, for the stripes that bared it all for me.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 47

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

If you have ever watched the Passion of the Christ you should have the scene where Jesus gets beaten forever scorched on your heart and your mind.

For me, there was no better way to pick the beating the scene. It was gruesome, yet brutally honest and for me, I believe we need to see more of this type of betrayal of Jesus instead of the all googly eyed one.

He was beaten and bruised, and if that wasn't enough, he was then chastised just for me so that I may walk with my Father and for a bonus, He would talk to me and I could talk back to Him and pour out everything in my heart while allowing Him to mend it.

God Bless.

100 Days of Scriptures of Encouragement: Day 46

James 5:14-16

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Sickness, really pushes my buttons. I believe different from others. I believe this scripture is for today and not yesterday.

I don't believe we fought a good fight of faith. I believe we live our faith and our faith says we are healed and we confess it as though it was already done and to seal it at the communion table.

Prayer shouldn't be if it's your will but thy will be done. Amen. It's done, it's finished, now let's walk like we are victorious! Rise and shine my sister's and brothers and let's take the kingdom by force!

God Bless.
